  1. 28 Merits specifically for Imam Ali (as) The following is taken from the book Al-Qatra by Sayed Ahmad Mustanbat Vol. 2, Pg. 205, Hadith. 57 From the book ‘Al-Majmoe al-Raiq min azhaar al-Hadaiq’, 100 merits specifically for Amir al-Momineen (as), from those which Shaikh Sadooq narrated on the day of Ghadeer in the year 361 Hijri, with the chain of narrators going up to the Prophet (saww) about those merits which Allah (swt) chose specifically for Amir Al-Momineen (as). And from those I have chosen 28 merits: Allah (swt) created Imam Ali (as) from the light (noor) of His greatness/Majesty, as the Prophet (saww) has said, "I and Ali were created from a single light (noor)." Imam Ali (as) worshiped Allah (swt) in the loins of His forefathers and wombs of his mother's since Adam (as). When Imam Ali (as) was born, light (noor) appeared from the sky to the surface of the Ka'ba. And the idols that were upon the Ka’ba fell down [upon their faces]. And Iblees cried out saying, 'Woe be to the Idols and its worshipers from this new born' أنه [كان] يفسّر حديث رسول الله و يذكر حديث كلّ نبيّ. Imam Ali (as) used to explain (do tafseer) of the sayings (hadith) of the Prophet (saww) and He used to narrate (or remember?) the sayings (hadith) of all the Messengers. Imam Ali (as) is the container of the knowledge of the Prophet (saww). Imam Ali (as) was the one to drive away distress/worries from the face of the Prophet (saww). Imam Ali (as) is similar to Isa bin Maryam (as) in his proofs except for Prophet Hood. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Ayyub (as) in his patience. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Ibraheem (as) in his generosity. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Dawood (as) in his power/strength and in his voice. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Sulayman (as) in his splendor/beauty and his supremacy. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Lukman (as) in his wisdom. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Ismaeel (as) in his acceptance/submission and honesty. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Nooh (as) in the acceptance of his prayer. Imam Ali (as) is similar to Yunus (as) in his affairs. Imam Ali (as) is similar to the Prophet (saww) in his judgement/ruling except for Prophet Hood. Imam Ali (as) when in battles, had Jibraeel on his right side and Mikaeel on his left side and the angel of death in front of Him. And He did not return until Allah (swt) granted victory upon Him. Imam Ali (as) is the first one to be called by His name on the day of Judgement. The angels seek nearness to Allah (swt) by means of Wilayat of Imam Ali (as). Imam Ali (as) uprooted the door of Khaibar and threw it behind his back to a distance of 40 arm’s length. Then made it a bridge, carrying it upon the palm of his hand until all the soldiers crossed over. The Wilayah of Imam Ali (as) was put forth to parts of the earth. So those parts that accepted His Wilayah become beautiful and pure. And those who did not accept His Wilayah became salty land (not supporting any growth) The Wilayah of Imam Ali (as) was put forth to the plants. 2. (bismillah) [Describing the event of Martyrdom of Imam Ali (as)]: And Jibreel called out from between the sky and the earth, and all who were awake heard him: "By Allah, the pillars of guidance have been demolished. The stars of the sky and signs of the pious have been extinguished. By Allah, the rope of Allah has been cut. The cousin of Mohammad al-Mustafa has been killed. The guardian al-Mujtaba has been killed. Ali al-Murtaza (as) has been killed. By Allah the chief of the guardians has been killed. He was killed by the most wretched of all the wretched." When Umm-Kulsoom (sa) heard the announcement of Jibraeel , She hit her face and her cheek, tore the side of her dress and screamed ‘O Father, O Ali (as), O Mohammad (saw), O Sayyedah (sa). ..
  3. ~ Narrations on the importance of the remembering and talking about the AhlulBait (as) andthat the Zikr of AhlulBait (as) is the Zikr of Allah ~ عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن أبيه، عن فضالة بن أيوب عن علي بن أبي حمزة قال: سمعت أبا عبدالله عليه السلام يقول: شيعتنا الرحمآء بينهم، الذين إذا خلوا ذكرواالله [إن ذكرنا من ذكر الله] إنا إذا ذكرنا ذكر الله وإذا ذكر عدو ناذ كر الشيطان A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Ali ibn abu Hamza who has said the following: "I heard Abu Abdillah (as) saying, "Our Shia are compassionate to each other. When they are alone they speak of and remember Allah. To speak of us is to speak of Allah. When we are mentioned Allah is mentioned, but when our enemies are spoken of it is like speaking of Satan." [source: Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, Pg. 186, Chapter. 77, Hadees. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Ismail ibn Bazi from Salih ibn ‘Aqabah from Yazid ibn ‘Abd al-Malik from Abu AbdiAllah (as), who said, "Visit each other, verily in it there is a revival for your hearts and a study of our Ahadith (may take place). Our Ahadith helps you to be kind to each other. If you follow them you will find guidance and salvation in them. If you disregard them you will go astray and be destroyed. Therefore, follow them and I will assure you of your salvation." [source: Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, Pg. 186, Chapter. 77, Hadees. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Washsha from Mansur ibn Yunus from Abbad ibn Kathir who has said the following: "I said to Abu Abdillah (as), "Once I passed by a storyteller who said to his audience, "This is a gathering whose attendants do not suffer wickedness." The narrator has said that Abu Abdillah (as), then said, "How extremely far is it from reality! You passed by the wrong gathering. (Astahahum al-Hufrah) How terribly wrong is their expresssion! Allah has certain angels who visit places, and they are other than the honorable scribes. When they pass by a people, who speak of Muhammad and Ale Muhammad (as), these angels say, "Stop here. You have found what you needed." They will sit down and begin to think and understand with them. When the gathering disperses they visit their people suffering due to ill health, attend their funerals and look after those of them who are absent. That is the gathering whose attendants do not suffer wickedness." [source: Al-Kafi, Vol. 2, Pg. 186, Chapter. 77, Hadees. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-Mustawrid al-Nakhai from those whom he has mentioned (in his book) from Abu Abdillah (as), who has said the following: "Certain angels of heaven look at one, two or three people on earth speak of the excellence and praise of Aal-e-Muhammad (as) and they say, "Look the small number of these people, their enemies so numerous, they still speak of the praise of Aal-e-Muhammad (as)." The Imam then said, "Another group of angels say to them, "It is a favor to them from Allah that He grants to whomever He wants, Allah possesses a great deal of favors." 4. The following narrations are taken from a chapter of al-Kaafi titled; "Prayers to be performed upon the Naasibi.. enemies of the AhlulBait (as)" عدة من أصحابنا، عن سهل بن زياد، وعلي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه جميعا، عن ابن محبوب، عن زياد بن عيسى، عن عامر بن السمط، عن أبي عبدالله (عليه السلام) أن رجلا من المنافقين مات فخرج الحسين بن علي صلوات الله عليهما يمشي معه فلقيه مولى له، فقال له الحسين (عليه السلام): أين تذهب يافلان؟ A number of our companions, from Sahl bin Ziad, from Ali bin Ibraheem, from his father, from Ibn Mahboob, from Ziad bin Isa, from Aamir bin Samth, from Abi Abdillah (as): "A man from the hypocrites died and Imam Husain (as) walked along with him (i.e. in his funeral) and Imam (as) met his friend. Imam Husain (as) said to him, "Where are you going? O' so and so". He said to Imam Husain (as), "I am running away from performing the funeral prayers of this hypocrite." Imam Husian (as) said to him, "Look and stand to the right of Me. And you say the same thing what you hear Me say." So when the guardian of the dead person said Takbeer (for the funeral prayers), Imam Husain (as) said, "Allah is great. O'Allah curse so-and-so slave of yours, a thousand curses, combined without any difference. O'Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì, disgrace this slave of yours among your slaves and in your cities and put him in the heat of your fire and make him taste your severe punishment. Because He used to Love your enemies and was hostile to your friends. And had hatred with the AhlulBait (as) of your Prophet (saww)." [source: Al-Kafi, Vol.3, Pg. 189, Hadees. Ali bin Ibraheem, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umair, from Hammad, from al-Halabi, from Abi Abdillah (as): "When praying upon the enemy of Allah say, "O'Allah, Verily we do not know anything from him except enmity towards You and towards Your Prophet. O'Allah, Fill his grave with fire and fill this abdomen with fire and make him move quickly towards the fire. Because he befriended your enemies and had enmity with your friends and had hatred with the AhlulBait (as) of Your Prophet (saww). O'Allah, Narrow down his grave upon him." Then when you stand up say, "O'Allah do not raise him and do not cleanse him" [source: Al-Kafi, Vol.3, Pg. 189, Hadees. 4]Narration is Hasan as per the chain of narrators. See Mirat al-Uqool by Allama Majlisi, Vol. 14, Pg. Ali bin Ibraheem, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umair, from Hammad bin Usman, from al-Halabi, from Abi Abdillah (as): "When Abdullah bin Ubay bin salool died, the Prophet (saww) came to his funeral. Umar said to the Prophet (saww), "O' Prophet of Allah, Has not Allah prohibited you to stand at his (abdullah bin Ubay's) grave? The Prophet (saww) kept quiet. Umar said again, "O Prophet of Allah, has not Allah prohibited you to stand at his grave (abdullah bin Ubay's) grave? Prophet (saww) said to Umar, "Woe to you, and what do you understand what I said. Verily I said, "O' Allah, Fill his abdomen with fire and fill his grave with fire and put him in fire." [source: Al-Kafi, Vol.3, Pg. 188, Hadees. 1]Narration is Hasan as per the chain of narrators. Tell me, why is it that your grandfather Ali - the Commander of the Faithful (s) became the one to divide up Paradise and Hell. What is meant by this? I have thought a lot about this." Then Al-Reza (s) told him, Has it not been narrated by your father, on the authority of your forefathers, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abbas to have said that he had heard God’s Prophet (s) say, "Liking Ali is the same as faith, and despising him is the same as Kufr (disbelief)." Al-Mamun said, "Yes." Then Al-Reza (s) added, “Therefore, he is the one who divides up Paradise and Hell as it is loving him which equals faith, and despising him which equals atheism.” Then Al-Ma’mun said, "O Abal Hassan (Al-Reza)! May God not let me live after you! I testify that you are the inheritor of the knowledge of God’s Prophet (s)." Abi Salt (al-Harawi) added, "When Al-Reza (s) returned home, I went to see him (s) and said, “O son of God’s Prophet! How nice did you respond to al-Mamun's question!" Al-Reza (s) said, "O Aba Salt! I answered him using the same way that he was reasoning. I heard my father (s) narrate on the authority of his forefathers (s), on the authority of Ali (s) that Gods Prophet (s) told him, "O Ali! You are the one to divide up Paradise and Fire on the Resurrection Day. You will tell the fire, this is for Me (leave it) and this is for You (take it)." [source: Uyun al-Akhbar Al-Reza, Chapter. 32, Hadees. 30] This narration is a great piece of show of Hikmat by Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Reza (as). Such narration can come only from a true successor of Prophet Muhammad (sa). What should I say?” Imam (a.s) replied, “You should repeat three times, “Peace be upon You, Abu Abdillah (as). Indeed salutations reached Imam Husain (a.s) from near and far.” Indeed when Imam Husain (a.s) passed away, the seven heavens, the seven earths, everything within them, everything between them, everyone who moves in Paradise and in Hell from among the creation of our Lord and everything which can be seen and everything which cannot be seen, cried over Abi Abdilah (a.s) except for three things. I asked, “May I be sacrificed on You, what are those three things?” Imam (a.s) replied, “Basra, Damascus and the family of Uthman. Curse of Allah be upon them all” I asked, “May I be sacrificed on You, I want to go to the Ziyarat of Imam Husain (as). How should I perform the Ziyarat and what should I recite?” Imam (a.s) said, “When you go to the Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s), perform a Ghusl on the banks of Euphrates and wear your most purified clothes. Then walk barefoot because you are walking in one of the sanctuaries of Allah (swt) and his Messenger (saww). You should recite Takbir and Tahlil and Tasbeeh and Tahmeed exceedingly and glorify and sanctify Allah (swt) more. Invoke blessings on Muhammad (saww) and his Family (a.s) until you arrive at the door of the Holy Shrine. Then recite the following: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ حُجَّتِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلَائِكَةَ اللَّهِ وَ زُوَّارَ قَبْرِ ابْنِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ “Peace be upon You, O Proof of Allah and son of His Proof. Is it permitted or not that he prostrates upon/on the grave? And is it permitted that when praying near the graves of some of the Imam's (as) that he stands behind the grave and makes the grave (in the direction of) Qibla? Or stands near the head of the grave or near the leg of the grave? And is it permitted or not that he stands in front of the grave and prays and the grave if behind him?" And he recited the letter [reply from the Imam (atfs)] from his copy: [Answer]: "As for prostration upon the grave it is not permissible in naafilah prayers, obligatory prayers, and in ziyaarah. And upon him is the act that he puts his right cheek on the grave. And as for the Prayers, keep the grave of the Imam in front and stand behind it. Its not permissible to pray in front of the grave because for the Imam (as) should not be advanced and (do not)*pray on the left or right side of the grave." Ali bin Mohammad (as) replied, "Read." So I read the hadith for him and he corrected some of my mistakes. Then I said, "O my master, we are refrained from travelling on most of these days. Can you teach me how to prevent the evil if I do have to travel on one of these days?" Ali bin Mohammad (as) replied: "Our Wilayat Protects our Shia even if they are caught in the waves of the sea or in the darkness of the desert or if they are surrounded by lions, wolves and the enemies from amongst the men and the jinn. Our Shia will be safe with our Wilayat. So entrust Allah and be loyal in your Wilayat of your pure Imams (as), and travel whenever you want and whereever you want." Every morning recite this Dua three times: O Allah! I start my day by taking refuge in your invincible protection, that cannot be postponed nor changed, from the evil of every oppressor, disaster, and anyone You have created or anything that is created from Your creations that speaks or is quiet. I start my day protected from anything that is feared because I believe in the Wilayat of the family of the Prophet (saww). I start my day protected from anyone who intends to harm me with the invincible wall that has been created around me for my loyalty and my asknowledgement of the rights of the family of the Prophet (saww) and for holding on to their rope. O Allah! I am certain that Haqq is for them, it is with them, it is in them, and it is to them. I befriend their friends and I stay away from those whom they abandon. O Allah! Send Your blessings to Mohammad and the family of Mohammad, and protect me from the evil of that which I fear through the the family of the Prophet (saww). O Mighty! Keep the enemies away from me! O Creator of the heavens and the earth! "We have set a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them and covered them over so that they do not see" [36:9] Imam Ali bin Mohammad (as) continued: Recite this Dua three times in the evening also and you will be protected from whatever you fear and you will be safe from danger. If you have to travel on one of the warned days, do the following before you travel: Say, "Praise is to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds." Then recite Sura Al-Falaq, Al-Nas, Ayatol Kursi, Al-Qadr and the last verse from Aal-e-Imran. Then say, O Allah! Those who seek purification find it with You and receive their strength from Your mighty power. There is no strength except that which is from You and there is no power except that which is from You. I ask you through Your chosen creation and the best of the creation, Mohammad (saww), Your Prophet and his family, to send Your blessings on them and to protect me from any evil or harm on this day, and to sustain me with blessings, a good ending and the granting of my desires. O Allah! Protect me from the evil of the deviating oppressors and anyone else with power who might want to harm me. O Allah! Protect me from any evil or disaster. Change my fear to safety and change my difficulties to ease. O Allah! Protect me from the harm of Your slaves so they do not prevent me from achieving my goals. Verily You have power over all things and all affairs return to You. You are the Lord and there is nothing whatsoever like You. You are All-Hearing, All-Seeing. Conversation between Imam Ali (as) and Abu Bakr after Abu Bakr refused to return Fadak to Fatema Zehra (sa) Imam Ali(as): O' Abu Bakr. Have you read the book of Allahسبحانه وتعالى? Abu Bakr(la): Yes. Imam Ali(as): The verse " God desires to keep only the uncleanness away from you O'People of the Family and purifies you a thorough purification" has been send down in our praise or in the praise of others? Abu Bakr(la): Yes, in Your praise. Imam Ali(as): If a witness, witnesses against Janabe Fatima(sa) regarding a bad thing, what will you do in that case? Abu Bakr(la): I will apply the Islamic Had on her(sa) just like its done for other muslim women. Imam Ali(as): In that case you will be among the Kaafir in the sight of Allahسبحانه وتعالى. Abu Bakr(la): No. Imam Ali(as): Because in this case you rejected the declaration of Allah(swt) regarding the Purity of Janabe Fatima(sa) , accepting the declaration of the common people which is like rejecting the order of Allah (swt) and order of Messenger of Allah (saww). 15. Chapter: 3Verse: 42 وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ "Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations." With the previous chanin of narrators: Ahmed bin Ziyad bin Jaafar Al-Hamdani, from Ali bin Ibrahim bin Hashim. from Jaafar bin Salmah. from Ibrahim bin Mohammad Al-Thaqafi. from Ibrahim bin Musa. from Abu Qotadah Al-Harrani. from Abdul Rahman bin Ala Al.Hazrami. from Saeed bin Musayeb. from Ibnh Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allaht (saww) was with Ali, Fatema, Hasan, and Husain (as) one day when he said: O Allah! You know that they are my family and they are the most honourable people in my eyes. O Allah! Love those who love them, and hate those who hate them. Befriend their friends, antagonize those who antagonize them, and support those who support them. O Allah! Purify them from any uncleanliness; make them infallible and support them with the Holy Spirit. Then the Prophet (saww): said: O Ali! You are the Imam of my nation, you are my caliph on my nation after me, and you will lead the believers to Paradise. It is as if l can see my daughter, Fatema, on the Day of Judgement. She will be brought on a platform made of light. There will be seventy thousand angels to her right, seventy thousand angels to her left, seventy thousand angels in front of her, and seventy thousand angels behind her, and she will be leading the (female) believers of my nation to Paradise. Every woman who prays five times a day, fasts in the month of Ramadhan, goes to Elajj, pays Zakaat, obeys her husband, and accepts the Wilayat of Ali after me will enter Paradise with the intercession of my daughter. Fatema is the Master of All of the Worlds' Women. People asked, "Is she the master of the women of her time?" The Prophet (saww) replied replied: "Maryam was the master of the women of her time. My daughter, fatema, is the Master of All of the World's Women from the first to the last. Every time she stands in her mihrab for prayers, seventy thousand high-ranked angels come and say Salaam to her. The angels call out to her, 'O Fatema! "Verily, Allah has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above all the women of the worlds" (3:42), which is the same way the angels used to call Maryam. Then the Prophet (saww) looked at Ali and said: O Ali! Fatema is a piece of my flesh, she is the light of my eyes, and she is the apple of my heart. That which saddens her saddens me, and that which pleases her pleases me. She is the first one (from my family) who will join me, so treat her with kindness after me. As for Hasan and Husain, they are my sons and my flowers. They are the Masters of the Youth of Paradise, so treat them like you would treat your eyes and ears. Then the Prophetes raised his hands toward the sky and said: O Allah! I testify that I love those who love them. I hate those who hate them. I am at peace with those who are at peace with them. I fight those who fight them. I am the enemy of their enemies, and I am the friend of their friends.' Have started a page of 'Tafseer' on my website. http://www.marefatea...ait.com/tafseer The Purpose of this page is to highlight the status & authority of the AhlulBait (as) from the verses of the Holy Quran and Tafsir from the narrations of the Imam's (as). Narrated to me (Sheikh Sadooq) Muhammad bin Husain Al-Saffar, from Abbas bin Ma'roof, from Safwaan bin Yahya, from Aba Abdillah (as): I (narrator) asked about "Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem". Imam (as) said, 'BA' is for glory of Allah, 'SEEN' is for splendor of Allah, 'MEEM' is for Kingdom of Allah. I (narrator) asked what is meant by "Allah". Imam (as) said: 'Alif' stands for the Blessing (Nemat) of our Wilayat on Gods creations. 'Laam' stands for the obligation of our Wilayat on Gods creations. And 'Hey' stands for disgrace for those who oppose Muhammad (saww) and the progeny of Muhammad (as).” [source: At-Tauheed, Sheikh Sadooq, Pg. 230] http://www.marefatea...ait.com/tafseer I will continue to post on this thread as I keep on adding on to my website for the benefit of those who are on shiachat.com Wassalam

May Allah’s blessings be perpetually upon them whenever night and day succeed each other. O Allah: I thus beg You in the name of them; and I implore You with the imploration of a sinful one who confesses of his guilt, and who has done evil to himself, due to his violations—the past and the present. He thus beseeches You for protection from You up to the place of his grave. O Allah: (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Offspring, and include us with his group (on the Resurrection Day)and allow us to dwell in the House of Honor with him, and in the abode of residence. O Allah: as You have conferred upon us with the honor of our recognition of him, (please) confer upon us with the honor of being near to him, and bestow upon us with the bliss of accompanying him and enjoying a close rank to him,and include us with those who submit to him totally, and those who pray (You) for sending blessings upon him whenever they mention him,and also upon all his Successors and Selected Ones, whom are defined by You as twelve persons, being the luminous stars, and the Arguments against all humankind. O Allah: and (please) grant us on this day the best of grants, and make all our prayers on this day responded, in the same way as You gifted al-Husayn to Muhammad: his grandfather, and in the same way as the angels Futrus sought refuge with his (i.e. al-Husayn) cradle we are thus seeking refuge with his tomb after him (i.e. his martyrdom) as we are witnessing the soil of him and expecting his return. Imam abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) has said, ‘Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, created us and He made our creation the best. He formed us and made our the best. When God created Adam, God placed this light in his loins and transferred it through him from one generation to the next generation until it reached the loins of Abdul Mutalib. Then God took it out of Abdul Mutalib's loin; divided it into two parts; placed one part in Abdullah's loins; and placed the other part in Abi Talib’s loins. A man stood up and said “O’ Master of Believers, [how is it that] you are in this [lofty] position that God chose for you, while your father is burning in the inferno?”. The Imam replied: Quiet! My father is in hell, while his son is the divider of heaven and hell?! By the One who sent Mohammad as a truthful messenger, the light of Abu Taleb outshines the light of all other creatures except for five; the light of Mohammad, Fatima, Hassan, Hussein, and the light of his children; the Imams. "I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (as) say, ‘Allah has created us from the light of His greatness. Thereafter He shaped our form from a preserved and hidden clay under the Throne. Then He made that light to reside in that clay. We were then a Nooraani (light) creature of the human being species. He has not placed anything as a share from that which we were created in anyone else. He has created the spirits of our Shi‘a from our clay and their bodies from a preserved and hidden clay from below that clay. 19. Narrated from Yazid bin Qaa’nab, who said: I was sitting with Abbas Ibn Abdul Muttallib and a group from Abdul-Ozza by the Kaaba when we saw Fatema bint Asad (sa), mother of the Commander of the Believers (as) came close to the Kaaba. She was nine months pregnant with him and she was in labour. Fatema bint Asad (sa) said: O Allah! I believe in You. I believe in what You sent to Your messengers. I believe in Your books. I believe in the message of my grandfather, Ibrahim Al-Khaleel, and the one who build Your house. I ask You through the right of one who build this house and through the right of the baby that I am carrying to make my labour easy. Then we saw the wall of the Kaaba open from the rear. Fatema bint Asad (sa) entered the Kaaba and she disappeared with the wall closing behind her. We tried to open the door of the Kaaba but failed. We understood that this was a miracle. After four days she came out of the Kaaba with the Commander of the Believers (as) in her arms and said: I have higher status than all off the women before me because Asiya bint Mozahem worshipped Allah secretly in a place that was not recommended to worship Allah except when necessary. Maryam bint Imran shook a dry palm tree and ate from its ripe dates, but I entered the Holy house of Allah and I ate from the food of Paradise. When I wanted to come out, a caller called me and said, “O Fatema! Name him Ali because he is Ali (High) and Allah is Ali Al-A’la (the highest). Allah tells you, ‘I derived his name from My name, I educate him with My manners and I taught him My most obscure knowledge. He (as) said, “On the surface it seems that this is because it has been taken from the five daily prayers. However, there is another reason for that. Indeed the Honorable the Exalted God has made it incumbent upon His servants to perform five obligatory deeds: praying, paying the alms-tax, fasting, going on the Hajj pilgrimage, and accepting the Mastery (Wilayah). Therefore, He has established saying God is the Greatest once for each of the obligatory deeds. If he has accepted the Wilayah, then it should be said five times. However, if he has not accepted it, the phrase God is the Greatest should be said only four times. That is why when one of you (the Shiites) die, the phrase is said five times. However, when one who disagrees with you (i.e. is not one of the Shiites) dies, the phrase is said only four times. 21. Here is a great narration of the knowledge of the Imam's (as) and reason behind the actions of Imam Ali (as), Imam Hasan (as) and Imam Husain (as) against the oppressors (curse be upon them) of their times. What is important to note here is the tone that Imam Baqir (as) uses. "What an strange case is the case with a group of followers! They acknowledge us as the Divine authority over themselves, accept us as their Imam and say that obedience to us is obligatory just as is the case with the Messenger of Allah. They then destroy the veracity of their belief as such and dispute against their own selves due to weakness of their hearts. They then diminish our right and blame those whom Allah has granted evidence to know us as it should be and the (ability) to submit themselves to our Divine authority. Do you not consider that how would Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, make it obligatory to obey those who possess Divine authority over his servants and then hide from them (people who possess Divine authority) `the new of the heaves and the earth? How would He cut them off of the sources of knowledge that might come to them to maintain their religion?" Humran then said to the Imam (as), "May Allah, take my soul in service for your cause, how would you explain the case of the uprising of Ali ibn abu Talib, al-Hassan and al-Husayn (as)? They came out and rose up for the cause of Allah, Whose name is so Majestic. How much they suffered and how mercilessly were they murdered at the hands of the rebels? They were defeated, murdered and over powered." Abu Ja‘far (as) then said, "O Humran, Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, had determined it on them. He had decreed, approved and made it unavoidable though the voluntary manner. He then allowed to take place. It, thus, happened with a pre-existing knowledge that had come to them from the Messenger of Allah. Ali, al-Hassan and al-Husayn (as) rose up for the cause of Allah with full knowledge of the consequences and remained silent from us those who remained silent. Had they, O Humran, when facing what Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, made them to face and suffer defeat at the hands of the rebels (apparent), asked Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, to remove their suffering and would implore Him to destroy the government and kingdom of the rebels He would have answered their prayers and would grant them relief. In such case the destruction of the governments of the rebels and the ending of their time would take place quicker than the dispersal under a great pressure, of beads threaded together. The suffering, O Humran, that befell them, was not because of the sins that they might have committed or the punishment for their opposition to Allah. It was because of the high marvellous position that Allah had prepared and wanted them to reach. Do not let people’s opinions take you away from the right path." "Once I went to see Abu Ja‘far (as) and asked him, "Are you the heirs of the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes, we are his heirs." I then asked, "Was the Messenger of Allah the heir of the prophets and knew all that they knew?" He said to me, "Yes, it is true." I then asked, "Do you have the power to bring the dead back to life and cure the lepers, and the blind?" He said, "Yes, we do have such powers by the permission of Allah." Then he said to me, "Come closer to me, O Abu Muhammad." I went closer to him and he rubbed my face and my eyes and I saw the sun, the skies, the earth, the houses and all things in the town. Then he said to me, "Do you like to live this way and will have what others have and be responsible for whatever they will be held responsible on the Day of Judgment or like to live as before and will have paradise purely?" I said, "I would like to live as I lived before." He rubbed my eyes and I found myself as before." The narrator has said that he told it to ibn abu ‘Umayr who said, "I testify that this is true just as the day is true." He went close to her and asked, "What has caused you to weep O slave of Allah?" She said, "O servant of Allah, we have orphan children. Our cow that was the means for our living has died and we are left without any means of living." He said, "Will you be happy if I will bring your cow back to life?" She was just inspired to say, "Yes, O servant of Allah I will be very happy." He stepped aside and said two Rak‘at prayers. He then raised his hands and gently moved his lips. He then stood up and called the cow to get up. He pushed the cow with his foot or a staff and she was up straight and standing. When the woman looked at the cow she cried and said, "Jesus, son of Mary, I swear by the Lord of the Ka‘ba (he is Jesus)." Many people gathered around and he disappeared among them and went." I (saww) said, "O Lord, Who are these?" Allah (swt) said, "These are the Imam's (as) and this is Al-Qaim (atfs) who will establish my halaal as halaal and my haraam as haraam. And by Him (atfs) I will take revenge from my enemies. He (atfs) is the source of rest for my friends. He (atfs) is the one who will heal the hearts of the Shia's from the oppressors, deniers and disbelievers. He (atfs) will remove 'Laat' and 'Uzza' (referring to Abu bakr and Umar) and burn both of them. The Fitna/Affliction of that day will be more severe than the fitna/affliction of calf and samarri.
