  1. Is it just me or has anyone else feeling this way as well? - Marriage has become really hard for me, and Zina has become really easy. I've looked around for marriages, spent money, told parents, done everything, found potential mutah but in the end its probably all a failure, on the other hand, I asked a girl out and it was extremely easy and she said yes, but I called it off later so we are just friends (thank god). - At gatherings, the only subjects that's are interesting to most people there are back biting, or laughing at other people. try asking a serious question and you seem like a
  2. Hi I have an exam in a few days for my law degree and I am looking to answer an essay on separation of powers, the theory, its practicality and reality in the UK government but feel free to talk about the US aswell because i need to mention them too. So tell me what you know about the theory of separation of powers and the UK system of law and government.
  3. Salams, Has anyone ever been to Alton Towers?, I rarely go to such places, I am wondering whether it's worth going there or not as I recently got two free passes :D (you're welcome to along if you want :P). Thanks!
  4. David Cameron has promised an in or out EU referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union if the Tories win the 2015 election. I want to know what your vote would be, and why? A majority seem to be willing to exit completely, but I'm unsure whether or not their arguments hold validity. The political party UKIP are trending public opinion on this issue, and it appears Eurosceptics outnumber Europhiles. Would it be economically unwise to exit completely, or is there a way to find a middle ground? Opinions, please.

  9. Salaam Alaikum Apologies if this topic has been discussed before but I would be most grateful if fellow members could please advise me on the following: 1. Correct names, addresses and contact methods for the Khoja Shia Musafir-khanas in Tehran, Mashad and Qum. 2. Current prices if anyone has recently stayed at one or more. 3. Some details of the quality of the accommodation and facilities available within. 4. WC/shower facilities - en suite? English toilets? 5. Any rodent problems? 6. Any security issues? 7. Proximity to the Holy Shrines? 8. Meals available? Insha'Allah I am travelling in Oct

  11. Salam Brothers and Sisters, I was wondering if any of you have been on this short vacation course offered by the Imam Al - Asr organization. I've already registered and have completed all the necessary requirements for this program. I was wondering if someone would let me know how their process went and if you went from Canada that would be beneficial as well. Also if you could explain what else do you do there after the shrine visits? and weather or not if it is hard for Canadian or UK or American citizens to come into this program? and overall how much would you recommend other people to go
  12. (salam) So I did some digging and I found the commonest birth names for males and females in England and Wales. Here is the website for 2011 birth names from the Office of National Statistics UK http://www.ons.gov.u...2011/index.html In England: 1) Harry - 7,256 2) Oliver - 6,635 3) Jack - 6,513 . . . 18) Mohammed - 3,013 . . 21) Muhammad - 2,822 . . 62) Mohammad - 1,019 So basically if all Mohammeds were spelt the same, then the total number of children born in England with the name of our Prophet (saw) would be = 6,854. That would make the name of the Last Messenger of Allah (swt) the 2nd

  16. Argentina calls on firms to halt imports of UK products Argentina’s Industry Minister Debora Giorgi Wed Feb 29, 2012 9:51AM GMT Amid an ongoing dispute over the Malvinas Islands between Argentina and Britain, the Argentinean industry minister has called on the country’s top companies to stop importing British products, Press TV reports. Argentina’s Industry Minister Debora Giorgi on Tuesday called the bosses of at least 20 top firms to urge them to import goods produced elsewhere instead of Britain. The move comes in the hope that it would press Britain to negotiate over the future of the Mal
  17. ' The British government has launched a misleading campaign, claiming to destroy stockpiles of chemical weapons while itself had sold chemical components required for their production. During the four decades that Muammar Gaddafi was in power, the Western powers have filled their pockets with money gained from selling arms to the oil-rich country. Despite the UN Security Council's Resolution 748, which had imposed an arms embargo on Libya in 1992, Muammar Gaddafi spent nearly USD 30bn on weapons, making a rich stockpile of weapons of mass destruction. The British government that claims to be

  20. British Prime Minister David Cameron has declared “an all-out war” against protesters who have been holding anti-government rallies in the United Kingdom. On Monday, Cameron described the unrest in the UK as a “wake-up call” for the country and called for “an all-out war” against what he referred to as “gangs.” The unrest in Britain began on August 6 in the north London suburb of Tottenham, after a few hundred people gathered outside a police station to protest against the fatal shooting and killing of a black man, Mark Duggan, by the police. Cameron also unveiled new tough measures to tackle
  21. Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has strongly condemned the violent treatment of British protesters by police forces in the United Kingdom. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, President Ahmadinejad referred to British protesters as “opposition” and condemned the killing of demonstrators by the British police, IRNA reported. The true opposition in Britain is the people that are pushed to the ground and beaten on London streets and slain and yet "no one hears their voice," he added. He stated that the main issues facing the world today include discrimination, wars and the type of management
  22. British Prime Minister, David Cameron, has authorised the use of rubber bullets and water cannon by the Metropolitan Police to suppress the widespread protests. As the fourth night of angry protests shook the northwestern cities of Manchester and Liverpool, as well as Nottingham, Birmingham, West Bromwich, and Wolverhapton, Cameron announced “a fight back is under way” and “phoney” human rights issues cannot prevent the British government from silencing the angry protesters. Cameron lectured the Chinese authorities, in November 2010, on the importance of human rights and claimed that the Brit
  23. British Home Secretary Theresa May has threatened the use water cannons and even military force to quell widespread protests in London against power abuse by police. As the British capital witnessed the third night of spreading violence and the evident loss of police control over several parts of London, May said that officers would be allowed to use water cannons. The decision was soon backed by Former London mayor Ken Livingstone, who believes that police must be allowed to use 'the weapon' to disperse protesters. Livingstone said, “The issue of water cannon would be very useful given the l
