Asalamu Alaikum, I am hoping to get some feedback from the community regarding relocating alone to another state in the US or maybe even to the Middle East. I have a Masters in History I’ve done community work and research I’d love to earn enough as an Community College Faculty member or instructor (positions here are limited and they’ve changed hiring methods to hiring part timers on the cheap). I can teach at an Islamic school (some don’t require a credential if you have a Masters). I’d love to start community programs with Mosques and Islamic Schools but you often won’t find a paid position, I’ve been bad at networking here, and there may be road blocks. I am unmarried, in my 30s and would like to set some roots down somewhere. Anyone living in Detroit or any heavily populated Muslims areas stateside (CA is way too expensive)? Anyone have any experience in these fields to share? Ive usually planned things and done them, this time though I’d like to think long term. Feel home somewhere. Jazakum Allah Khayr

It is clear that having sufficient knowledge is necessary to have an Ideal life. On the other hand, when a man is born, he/she does not know anything and needs to be educated. Hence, one of the most important persons in a society is the teacher. A teacher teaches required things to the student and guides him/her to the right way. Teacher is able to instruct the customs of life to his/her student and ensure his/her future. And also teacher can prevent his/her student from slip and mistake. Due to this high position of a teacher, the sacred religion of Islam gives directives about the place and rights of teacher. In fact, the high position of a teacher is because of the high position of science and learning in Islam. As it is stated in the Glorious Qur’an: “Say: Are those who know equal to the ones who do not know? (39:9) And also, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) has said: “The good of the world and the Hereafter is in learning and the evil of the world and the Hereafter is in ignorance.” (Bihār al-Anwār/volume79/page170)

Hope everyone here is fine My sister is an Arabic teacher for almost 8 years, now she wants to find a job somewhere else, I mean in some other country, may be Iran..... Anyone here can help me? I googled for a teaching jobs in Iran but those websites don't give any information.

Asalaamu alaikum, I just wanted to pass along something useful for anyone out there who might be involved in teaching courses or teaching in a Sunday school madressa or running one. Right now there is a free open online course for learning how to teach with Moodle. Moodle is a free (as in root beer) online content management system for learning, also known as a learning management system, or LMS for short. https://moodle.org/ It's an open source online pla tform for delivering online courses, or as an online companion platform for a classroom course. You can do stuff like post readings, have text instruction pages, images, embedded videos, embedded audio, quizzes, discussion forums, poll questions, wikis, links to external sites, all kinds of stuff, with logins and accounts for each student and tracking of quizzes and marks, etc. The platform delivers through the browser, so it works across a range of OS platforms, both desktop and mobile. The screen presentation is even adaptive to the type of device, rearranging the layout, so courses can be viewed on desktop, tablet, smartphone. It's used by some universities and secondary schools, so it's possible some of you have already experienced it from the learner end. Really cool tool, very easy to use from what I've seen so far. It's designed with teachers in mind, making it easy for them to go online. The online course is good, and is delivered through the Moodle platform, so you can kind of see how it works as you go. The course is four weeks, and the second week is already in progress, so you'd want to hurry if you're interested. The first week was all introduction and basics, so you haven't missed any assignments or group activities yet.
