  1. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/234998269-unspoken-attraction/ Today, an extremely tragic movement happened. This spectacular and humorous thread disappeared and now we have been denied access to it. Hence, I have no choice but to open this thread in commemoration of that beloved thread. Our right to view such a topic has been vetoed. This is an earnest and polite request to the Admin to restore our right of viewing it. There have been plenty of other threads that have been alot worse in content [masturbation topics and ferocious cuss battles, for instance] that we haven't been denied access to, yet such topics online receive a 'lock'. Why are you being inconsistent in this matter, then? Surely, the thread isn't bad to that extremity. The ones who stirred the commotion are the ones who corrupted this otherwise innocent thread. The thread should be open for everyone but 'locked'. I need a petition, please. A lot of members worked hard giving advice and it's quite different from other threads which makes it rather refreshing. Please heed my calls, Ya Admins. You should be using your authority in a democratic manner, power to the people, not in a fascist or authoritarian fashion. It's only fair. Ok, LebanesePrincess, you can take the mic now.
  2. Imam Hussein (as) have definitly planted the seed of REAL LOVE in Karbala, producing what we see today from the love of Ahlulbayt (as). Is there a beloved in this world whose lover walks long days just to reach him and see the dome to say; "peace, mercy and blessings be upon you"? Hussein (as) is the real love, the only one that exists! Watch this youtube clip and imagine if you would hope to see a situation like it. Who's the beloved that the lovers is crawling to? This old man is walking to his lover Hussein (as), and the love of Hussein (as) has definitly overtaken his life and world. He left his bed, home, family, comfort and the dearest things behind him and started to walk towards death just to meet his beloved Imam. Labayka YA HUSSEIN!

  4. What are the chances of a second shia revival happening. I wish I had lived through the one that was by Imam Khomeini and my parents who were in Pakistan at that time told me about how they were able to have pride in who they are. I am growing up in the United States where Muslim pride constitutes a minority and shia pride is Non-existent. As a shia, i have trouble coping with my identity. Ya imam e zamana (ajj)
  5. Salam 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh I cannot stress how much benefit you will get from reading this book: http://www.al-islam.org/elixiroflove/ I beg you all to read it, you will not regret it. It will change your life. May Allah s.w.t Bless Shaykh Rajab Ali Khayyat and grant him his love inshallah. I have seen someone else post this book in another thread to do with asceticism, This book doesn't teach you asceticism, it teaches you love. It helps you understand what you have to do to gain the Love of your Creator Allah s.w.t There are many examples I will post a few so you see how amazing this book is; Visiting the Malakut (the Celestial Kingdom)! . Visiting the Malakut of the heavens and the earth with the eye of the heart is a prologue to attaining the high status of intuition of certitude. . (So also We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude.) (Al An'am: 75) . The Holy Prophet (s) is quoted as saying: . "If it were not that devils are dominant over the hearts of human beings, they would be witnessing the Malakut." All those who have been delivered from the snares of nafs and Satan, by tearing apart the heart's veils, are able to observe the Malakut of the heavens and the earth, and to bear witness to the Oneness of the Sacred Essence of God. . (There is no God but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endowed with knowledge...) (Ale Imran: 18) . One of the Shaykh's disciples related: 'I asked the late Haj Muqaddas whether the following hadith attributed to the Holy Prophet (s) is correct: . ."If it were not that devils are dominant over the hearts of human beings, they would be witnessing the Malakut." He answered: 'Yes.' . I asked: 'Do you see the Malakut of the heavens and the earth? . 'No, but Shaykh Rajab Ali Khayyat does!' He replied. . Here is another amazing part from the book; . What have you done for God's Sake? . One of the Shaykh's children related the following account: 'One day my father and I went to Bibi Shahrbano. . On the way we ran into an ascetic, and my father asked him: . "What has been the outcome of your (ascetic) self-discipline?" . The ascetic bowed down and picked up a stone from the ground. The stone turned into a pear and he offered it to my father, saying: 'Here you are, help yourself! . My father cast a glance at him and said: . "You did this for me, let me know what you have done for God?!" Hearing this, the ascetic burst into tears!; .. Once again I will say I cannot stress the importance of reading this book, it will change your lives, If you cannot be bothered to read it just read a few pages, it is not like an ordinary chapter book where you sit reading for hours, it is just many different bits of advice and examples that happened in real life that will help you leave the love of the Dunya and love nothing save Allah s.w.t . I really hope you decide to read the book and inshallah it benefits you.
  6. In His Name, the Most High Salam My blog has gone through a slight transformation and is now titled "The Spiritual Path of Ehsan" with the new "Journal" category as its main section of updates. As lovers of Ahl al-Bait(A) and seekers of the divine presence we come across many ideas, thoughts and inspiring literature in our journey. The idea with the journal is to collect all of these thought provoking gems in (mostly) short and simple to read posts as a point of reference for myself as well as others who might find it interesting. It could be a quote I stumble upon and wish to write down, or a thought which I'm reflecting upon, or something I've listened to etc etc. Basically a spiritual journal. The first post has already been made and I will inshaAllah put up new posts in this thread as they are published. The need of a spiritual master http://www.ehsan.me/...iritual-master/ Please feel free to comment and discuss the posts as well as share your thoughts and give feedback. Salam Ehsan
