  1. 99 0UT OF 100 WILL GO TO HELL. There this Haidth which say out of every 100 muslims 99 will go to hell.-Sahih Bukhari 8: 76: 536. Further it is said: In end of times there will be war upon war. 99 out 100 will die. The one who got killed and one who will be killing the innocent will not know the reason of his action. Both are going to go in Hell. Now I have question regarding this Haidth 1. Is this hadith is only for end of times or for whole UMMAH since its birth? 2. Whom this hadith refereeing to? Muslims, Non-Muslims or Both? 3. Most Important qu
  2. I know there is a difference of opinion about this one. Was Pharaoh's profession of faith in the last moments of his life accepted or rejected? وَجَاوَزۡنَا بِبَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ الۡبَحۡرَ فَاَتۡبـَعَهُمۡ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَجُنُوۡدُهٗ بَغۡيًا وَّعَدۡوًا ؕ حَتّٰۤى اِذَاۤ اَدۡرَكَهُ الۡغَرَقُ قَالَ اٰمَنۡتُ اَنَّهٗ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا الَّذِىۡۤ اٰمَنَتۡ بِهٖ بَنُوۡۤا اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ وَ اَنَا مِنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ‏ "And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said: 'I believe that the
  3. Why is there no zakaat or khums on gold jewellery when it is actually like a savings for most people which can be converted into money? Especially in the sub continent that's a way of savings. While in the Sunni school of thought, they have scary stories of what will happen to those ladies who don’t pay zakaat on the gold jewellery they have. Did I miss something?
  4. Salam alaikum, could you please explain how jannah will be like for people that will go jannat and how will jahanam be for people that will go jahanam.... with quranic references or hadiths. Jazakallah
  5. I’ve always been religious and started praying at a young age by myself. It was just me and Allah- like Allah was my only friend. One day I watched a video on YouTube and it said that how Allah is so far away. I felt like Allah was really faraway. Slowly it started becoming is Allah really there? I know it says that Allah’s closer to our jugular vein but I just I don’t know. My Imaan is so weak that the belief in Allah is going up and down. One minute it’s there an the next minute it’s not. It’s like my heart doesn’t want to accept like I feel a tightening in my chest. I want to have that conn
  6. There are verses where Quran clearly states how Allah is going to punish wrongdoers, hypocrites and those who didn't believe in Allah and his Messengers. But can we be certain about that Allah is surely going to put non-Muslim and wrongdoers in Hell? Can we say such things absolutely or do we have to leave this on Allah? There are 2 purpose I am asking this question, kindly give answer according to that prescriptive. 1. When I tell someone, non-muslim will not go to heaven, I feel little hesitated (I don't know why), I just want to confirm isn't it part of our believe to be clear that Al
  7. I need help I sinned very bad. My sin is scaring me I fell like I'm going to go to hell when I was 14 years old I got tricked by the people I called friends they made me smoke weed I messed up very badly my dad is dead and I want to meet him again will I meet him will I go to hell or heaven please help me
  8. So now, from my understanding no one knows what their end game is, in the sense of heaven and hell. In islam at least. But this keeps getting challenged. For instance, I was reading an obituary from a gentleman of christian faith the other day and came across a line that I always seem to come across that goes a little like "Mr ____ was a very loved father, grandfather, and husband who is now in heaven". Every obituary I read is just like BOOM insta-heavan. This is not limited to Christianity, even in my own family, I've seen it. I recently had a family member pass away and her mother was sayin
  9. How can God justify giving eternal punishment to anyone? Our life is very short, and we can only commit a finite amount of sins, so how can god give eternity in hell for a finite number of sins? Even if someone spent a million years sinning how can god justify eternity, a million years of punishment at most, but eternity?
  10. Assalamualaikum everyone, This is my first post on Shiachat so lets see how it goes. Today I spoke to two friends about Islam again. They are both agnostic, one used to be a practising Christian, the other a Buddhist. We talked about religions and Islam and none of us seem to see eye to eye about most of it. What I got stuck on during our discussion is: How are non-believers/kafirs treated in Islam, particularly on Judgement Day? My knowledge is limited but I would like to learn more too about this, as its quite a relevant topic for non-muslims. Personally, I would like to beli
  11. (bismillah) (salam) I hope you are all in the best of health and Imaan. As we all know belief is one of the fundamental requirements for success in the afterlife: "By time! Verily, man is at loss, except for those who believe and perform goods and exhort one another to the truth and to endurance." - Surah Asr While these verses and numerous others in the Qur'an constantly remind us of the importance of belief, I have wondered if many of us born Muslims really fulfil the requirements as they were meant to be met. Most converts - from any religion to any other religion, whet
  12. Salam fellows: As it is now known that paradise or hell is not above the sky, as previously believed. Please consider following points: 1) Paradise and Hell is created before the creation of this universe (as it was first residence of father Adam (sa) and mother Eve (sa)), so they exists right now. 2) People will be raised from their graves, graves are on this earth, and there would be a bridge, which each would have to cross, below that bridge there would be hell and on the other side of that bridge there would be Paradise, it seems that either earth would be connected to hell and parad
  13. Unfortunately there are people in this world who are in poverty. People without homes and without clothes, without food and water etc. How are these people expected to prayer to God. I understand that this is a very small minority of the world's population but how is someone living in a poor country in Africa expected to prayer when they don't even have water to perform wuduh. Or a woman/man expected to cover their bodies when they don't have clothes? I don't know maybe these people are let off because of their situation, I'm not suggesting God forces us to do things we can't, but I was wonder
  14. As salam alaikum, For some background: My mother is Hindu but more spiritual, doesnt believe in rituals etc., dad neutral about religions and a lot more spiritual, and brother is a downright atheist - I'm Muslim lol..and all of us live together so some of our discussions can be..well..interesting and disturbing.. Based on these discussions, I have a question: What is the purpose of creation and afterlife, as per Islam? I understand the purpose of our temporary earthly life is as a test to ensure jannah in the hereafter, through the worship of our creator....but then what? We enter jannah,
  15. This is a sensitive question. After a non-Muslim converts to Islam and his/her relatives end up not converting before their deaths, what follows according to Islamic teachings? Will his/her parents go to Hell for not being Muslim, while he/she goes to Paradise (if he/she would turn out to be a good Muslim, of course)? Or, will his/her relatives be saved from Hell thanks to him/her choosing for Islam (I remember someone telling me something like this)? It's such a horrible thought that the parents of a converted Muslim cannot join their child in the afterlife.
  16. ASA everyone. Now, most muslims will generally say that humans have free will but that Allah(swt) knows what will happen before it will happen and that he can alter things as he so pleases. However, when reading the Quran it is not that simple. It seems to me that two points are made simultaneously, the first being that humans control whether or not they will accept faith and guidance and the other being that it is not up to an individual but all up to Allah(swt). If it is up to Allah(swt), then doesn't it seem unfair that he will misguide some people and guide others? This is really bothering
  17. In this report aired on Fadak TV certain Shias in the UK are celebrating the day of Aisha's death: http://www.memri.org.../0/0/0/6625.htm My questions are: 1 - Are all persons who went to war against Imam Ali in Hell? 2 - Does that include Aisha as well?
  18. I'm trying to gather some information on hell-fire, I'd like to know of any non-literalist views on what the fire may be/ representing. Any info, personal view or from a particular source would be great Thanks

  20. Salam ! Question :I heard that its not good to keep the plants belong to Cactus family in the house. I tried to find the reasons: 1) its called the plant of hell 2) this plant is expensive family of plants\ Is there anything said Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and/or Imams (as) Wasalam
  21. (Note to moderators, i couldn't think of the *best* place to put this thread. If you see a better place, please do move it to there, i have no objection to such a thing.) I'll start this off with a little introduction, sorry to lengthen it but i feel it is important to the post. Please do read on, i'm sure you'll find it interesting. Lets begin. I was going for my evening run, as i usually do but tonight i heard something that wasn't usual. I heard a man screaming, a woman screaming and i saw the man throwing around things. My first instinct of course would of been to call the police but i was
  22. Im sure you will all know that Sayyids are the AhlulBayt of today, i am proud to say i am a Sayyid. But i have a very frustrating topic. It is said that the hell fire is ha'ram for Shia'as, and instead they get the wrath of ice. I am not too sure that this, however, is true? We all know how easy it is to create a rumour nowadays! Just wanted your thoughts on this topic and if anyone can elaborate on it? Thanks :donno: :shifty:
  23. If you were asked: 'Is a man who knowingly tortures an innocent person to death just because another tells him to evil and worthy of hell?', what would you reply? I would reply 'Probably, yes'. Yet the Milgram experiments show that most people would torture another innocent person do death just because an authority figure told them to. Does that make most people evil and worthy of hell?
