  1. Salam. Important article, which refutes the deceptions of Ahmad al-Hassan. Read here: http://shia-rafidah.com/articles/94-bible-ahmad-al-hassan.html#.VJgRCF4AAA
  2. Salam. As you all know, there are five daily prayers in (shia, sunni, sufi, etc.) Islam which according to the shiite islamic school of thought can be offered in three times. The prayers are Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. Noting that Dhuhr and Asr have common times; also Maghrib and Isha have common times. (You can and please study prayers in Islam here: http://www.al-islam.org/commentary-prayer-professor-muhsin-qaraati and how to pray here: http://praytime.info/tutor.html ) And, reding some Biblical verses, we thought how Islam is the fulfilment of the religion, both in the aspects of theology and practice.. Ok, here you go: ''As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.'' Psalm 55:16-17 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+55%3A16-17&version=KJV One day, I hope to see the Christian brethren, especially Christian brethren here praying to God in congregation with us, inshaAllah. :) ma salam
  3. Salam Alaykum brothers and sisters, my name is Ali, and I've recently been reflecting a lot on my name. Why is it that in english the name علي is spelled with an A, when it should be spelled in an E, since the name علي can be traced back to the Eli that is in the book of Samuel. The name that is in that book has the same exact same meaning as the Arabic name علي. So I think Ali (in regards to the Arabic meaning) should instead be spelled as Eli in english. What do you think? Here's some links that helped me analyze this issue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eli_(Bible) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_(name)
  4. Salaam alaykum. Please keep in mind that I am merely studying Islam, so I am neither Shi'a or Sunni and I hold no biases about either. I'm friends with a Shi'a Muslim who has quoted the bible as a reference to the coming of the 12 Imams. I will ask him when I see him next but I'm interested in getting feedback from your fantastic community in the meantime! This aforementioned reference is where it says: "Twelve princes shall [ishmael] beget, and I shall make him a great nation." [Gen. 17:20] But later on, The Bible actually names these twelve men and says they are the twelve sons of Ishmael: "And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth: and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah; [Gen. 25:13-15] And right after that they make reference to the twelve princes again: "These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; these are the twelve princes according to their nations." [Gen. 25:16] Am I missing something deeper that he understands? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you so much for reading and I look forward to hearing your responses. - Alizée
  5. Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters, I have come across some interesting information from a Christian brother of mine. He does not have much love for the Church, but not an unhealthy hatred either. Regardless, I am looking for second opinions on this supposed prophesy from other Christians and Muslims alike. First my friend presented me with this background information about Pope Francis I. http://www.globalresearch.ca/washingtons-pope-who-is-francis-i-cardinal-jorge-mario-bergoglio-and-argentinas-dirty-war/5326675 TL;DR : Pope Francis I played a role in the Dirty War in Argentina and is partly responsible for aiding it, with US blessing. I was then presented with the following prophesy (by St. Malachy in the 12th Century) in regard to him and the Church. http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/malachy.htm Thoughts? I believe it is incredibly important to listen to the beliefs of our brothers in other religions and their prophesies. We have ours, they have theirs, and I enjoy seeing where and how they intersect, if at all.
