Salaam. Can someone please help me figure out if this is an authentic saying of Imam Ali (AS) please? "The words of Allah are the medicine of the heart." I've seen it multiple times online but wanted to confirm that it's an authentic Hadith/saying. Thanks in advance.

SalamAlaykum Brothers and sister I'm currently creating a simplified Tafsir which is very easy to read and the format is not boring, but coming across this ayat it has put it to a pause lol وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً ۙ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيمَانًا ۙ وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۙ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْبَشَرِ {31} [Shakir 74:31] And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals. Let me put those parts I'm interested the most in bullet points ...and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt... According to the Tafsir, the number 19 which in this Chapter is about the angels, is also mentioned in the TORAH Here is the Question Can a knowledgeable brother or sister please tell me where in the TORAH and the Gospels it mentions anything to do with 19 Angels that Guard the Hell. Jazakallah Khairyan

O Ibn Shabib, cry upon Hussain
For The Love of The Emir posted a topic in General Islamic Discussion
Imam Reza AS said, “O Son of Shabib! If you wish to cry for anything or anyone, cry for al-Hussain Ibn Ali AS for he was slaughtered like a sheep. Eighteen members from his family who were unparalleled on earth were also killed along with him. Certainly, the seven heavens and earths cried because of the murder of al-Hussain AS. Four thousand Angels descended on earth to aid him, but (when they were allowed to reach there) they found him martyred. So they remained at his grave, disheveled and dusty, and will remain there until the rising of al-Qa’im (Imam al-Mahdi AS), whereupon they will aid him. Their slogan will be, ‘Vengeance for the blood of al-Husain.’ O Son of Shabib! My father related to me from his father, who related from his grandfather that when my grandfather Imam al-Husain AS was martyred, the sky rained blood and red sands. O Son of Shabib! When you weep over the afflictions of al-Husain AS so that tears flow from your eyes onto your cheeks, Allah will forgive all your sins, big or small, few or numerous. O Son of Shabib! If you wish to meet Allah, the mighty and the majestic, free of sin, then perform the Ziyarat of al-Hussain AS. O Son of Shabib! If it pleases you to abide in the palaces of Paradise in company of the Prophet SAWA and his family, then invoke Allah’s curse upon the murderers of Imam al-Hussain AS. O Son of Shabib! If you wish to earn the reward of those who were martyred with al-Hussain AS, then whenever you remember him, say, ‘If only I had been with them so that I would have attained the great felicity.’ O Son of Shabib! If you desire to be with us in the highest degree of Paradise, then grieve in our sorrows and rejoice in our happiness. Remain attached to our love, for even if a person loves a stone, Allah shall resurrect him with it on the Day of Judgment. -
Salam Alaikum, I was wondering if anyone knows of an equivalent hadith about death on certain days of the week in Shia of Ahlulbayt sources? Also is this hadith (and other similar ones) considered strong/ weak in chain of narration etc.? I would be most grateful for an answer / direction... This is the hadith : Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “there is no Muslim who dies on the day of Friday or the night of Friday, but Allaah will protect him from the trial (fitnah) of the grave.” Narrated by Ahmad, 6546; al-Tirmidhi, 1074 Thanks

i have a few questions and hope some knowledgeable brother can answer these. 1. can you explain the shia usul e hadith? in brief for now. especially how you guys check the sanad and matn and reject whatever goes against the quran. 2. how do you know the quran that we have today is the same quran that was revealed to the prophet pbuh? is it just a belief, like christians believe the bible is the true word of god that jesus preached or whatever. or do you have proof that the quran today is the same quran 1438 years ago. and jbtw, this has nothing to do with tahreef, in case anyone goes there. i am coming from a different point of view. just these two for now. a lot more to follow inshaAllah.

@Sindbad05, @haidermpr Hey guys, if you're interested in continuing the discussion I created a new thread. I'll start with reiterating points: I'm not 100% certain, (not assert what is and what isn't) that the Prophet SAW knew of his Prophethood prior to him receiving revelation, which in a sense extends to he having all knowledge of Qu'ran and Allah SWT prior to. I used 18:110 and 2:285 to support this idea. Upon which Sindbad05 responds with 2:253. Haidermpr brings up a point why certain prophets received imamate, and name mentioning over others. He also asked about my view concerning how does one pray if Hadith are troublesome for me to accept. Did I leave anything out?

Salamu Alaykum. Does anyone know if this Hadith is Authentic or weak? Our master Imam al-Askari (peace be upon him) has also been reported to have said to Abu Hashim al-Ja’fari: “O Abu Hashim! There will come a time where people’s faces are laughing and joyous [while] their hearts are dark and indeterminate. The Sunnah amongst them is innovation and the innovation is Sunnah. The believer amongst them is demeaned and the evil one venerated. Their rulers are oppressive and their scholars through the doors of darkness proceed.Their wealthy pillage the provision of their poor. Their young precede their old, and every ignorant to them is an authority, and every assignee to them is poor. They do not differentiate between the sincere and the doubtful, nor do they know the sheep from wolves. Their scholars are the most evil of God’s creation on the face of earth, because they incline towards Philosophy and Sufism. By Allah! They are of the enemies and people of distortion. They exaggerate in their love for our opponents and they misguide our Shi’a and Followers.” (Safinatul Bihar, By al-Muhadith al-Qummi, vol. 2, p. 58)

(Bismillah) Salam, I want to know how much authentic the hadith collection of Muhammad al-Bukhari is. In my opinion, all the hadiths in this collection might not be right and might not be wrong either. I am particularly interested in those ahadith which raise questions and subjected to criticism because of their contradiction to Quran, or contradiction to another authentic hadith or because of the chain of narrator etc. I would be much obliged if you please give an answer. And in that case, I am sure, your answer will be comprised with both Sunni and Shia references. I would also like to know what is the view of modern scholars, both from Sunni and Shia school, regarding this issue. Thank You. Abdullah.

Salam to every body, I am a student from East Asian country, before i traveled to Iran and visited Zurkhaneh, I am very impressed by this, so I want to know more about it. I read that Imam Ali also practiced Zurkhaneh, but I think this is only from Shia records? Because Imam Ali is first converted muslim and in his time he was fighting against other pagans. Since Zurkhaneh was originally from ancient Persia and contained other ancient beliefs inside, how could he practice it? Is there any record or hadith narrating this history ? I am very grateful for any reply, Mamnun to all ~

Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters! I have made some research but couldn't be able to find any Shia Sahih narration on the moon split. I'm not looking for the Quran verses or scientific discoveries... For me it's ok as long as our prophet and imams claimed this. Only shias reply please!

Bismillah, Allahumma salli ali Muhammad wa aali Muhammad. Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah. Fakhr Razi, a well known ash'ari muhadeeth writes in his "Asas Taqdees": (I do not speak english good enough to present you a decent translation so please someone correct it!) And the schoolars due to the naivety of their hearts have not rejected them but accepeted them. And what munkar is worse than reports destroying rububiya of Allah and His uluhiya? So that we must call these reports fabricated! As for Bukhari and Qusheiri (muslim) - they didn't posses the knowledge of unseen... ...And these muhadeethes reject hadeeth due to weakest reasons such as "ones loves Ali so he's rafidhi and his reports aren't accepted" or "Magad bin Juhani is a Qadaree so his hadeeth are not to be accepted". So why there was none with 'Aql among them to say that "the narrator narrates what destroys Rububiya and Uluhiya so this is not accepted"? This is really wierd!" (Asas Taqdees, 218-219)

So i came across this rather peculiar hadith when i was reading the famous shi'i hadith book by ibn Qulawayh you all know about, called Kamil al-Ziyarat, the hadith goes like the following: "Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: One day Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.s.) was in Fatima’s house with Husain (a.s.) on his lap. Suddenly, the Prophet began to cry and went into prostration. Then he said: O Fatima, O daughter of Muhammad! Just now Allah the Most High and Exalted just appeared to me here in the most beautiful form and asked me, “O Muhammad! Do you love Husain (a.s.)?” I replied, “Yes, he is the light of my eyes, fruit of my heart, fragrant flower and the skin between my eyes.” Allah said: O Muhammad! – and placing His Hand on Husain’s head2 – Blessed is this newborn upon whom I have sent prosperity, blessings, mercy and pleasure. My curse, wrath, chastisement, disgrace and punishment are upon one who kills him, is inimical to him or rises up against him. Indeed, he is the Chief of Martyrs from the first to the last, in this life and Hereafter." hmm... i am really confused now, is this hadith reliable, is it not? Does this hadith have a particular meaning? Is it metaphorical? Lets assume this hadith is fabricated and has no origin, then we would have to admit that Kamil Al-Ziyarat is not completely reliable... But what if it is reliable, but the likes of Allah "putting His (AWJ) hand" on Hussain or Allah (AWJ) coming to the Holy Prophet (SAWS) in a beautiful form is nothing more than a metaphor. What is your take on this? Jazakum Allah khair jaza'

Asalaam Alaikum wr wb brothers and sisters, Have you come across this narration from Prophet Muhammad sawas? "The Messenger of Allah Õáì Çááå Úáíå æÂáå æÓáã said: Hijaz will be ruled by a man who has the name of an animal (i.e King Fahd (leopard). If you looked at him you will see that he is cross-eyed from far and if you came close to him, you will not see anything wrong with his eyes. A brother called Abdullah will succeed him. Woe unto the Shia from him, he repeated it three times, give me the glad tidings of his death, I will give you the glad tidings of the appearance of the Hujjah" - 250 Signs p.122 Muhammad Ali Tabatabai
