  1. Along with the Qur’an and Ahlulbayt as ayaats of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), which arguments for God convince you (your heart, your mind) the most? Is it The Kalām Cosmological argument Argument from Dependency / Avicenna’s necessary existence argument Design Argument and Fine Tuning of the universe Argument from Consciousness Argument from Being The implications of atheism (e.g. morality?, no value, meaning, purpose) The fitrah (innate disposition) of the human being Other (please detail)?
  2. Assalamualaikum, I did my under-grad in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and a week ago I started my MBA in Aviation Business Management. I also recently got back into religion, and I am SUPER INTERESTED to serve the Ahlulbayt and the community somehow. Right now I've chosen MBA in Aviation (and I do not know how this will help me serve the Ahlulbayt or to do any good for the people) but to my luck, I have an option of Dual-Specialization. So I can choose either of these : 1. MBA (Aviation + International Business Management) 2. MBA (Aviation + Finance) 3. MBA (Aviation + Marketing) The problem is I really do not know which one of these will help me serve the community or to serve the Ahlulbayt. I would not even mind working for NGO's like WhoIsHussain. I am very interested to work for them. Can you please guide me ? Waasalmunalaikum Wa Rahmatullah
  3. Will prevail when Imam Mahdi ((عليه السلام)) and Prophet Jesus ((عليه السلام)) returns. For the most part, the Palestinians have been brain washed by the salafi’s to the extent that a large percentage of Isis fighters when they were caught were from Palestine and then Chechnya then Tunisia and then Saudi Arabia. I think you and the other guy that I’ve heard of are the only Palestinian Shia’s that exists. The rest are either “Sunni” or “Christian” in short yous are rare gem.
  4. As salamu alaykum I hope everyone is in the best of health Insha’Allah during these crazy times. I’m a 18 year old Palestinian and Egyptian born Muslim and a new “revert” from ahlul Sunnah to the Ahlul Bayt school of thought. I was wondering if anyone had any good book recommendations about Islamic history and good source books. Growing up Islamic history wasn’t emphasised so I’m kinda a newbie to in depth context and sources sourrounding the context of when surahs/ ayas were revealed, I.e Surah al Tawbah, or hadiths/ history surrounding the martyrdom of Hussain as. I don’t know if this is related but also if anyone has any recommendations for mosques in London and also mosques that possibly offer lessons that would be great too. Jazak’Allah everyone.
  5. I created this post because this is literally what we follow, Ahlulbayt or Sunnah. So by proving that 'Kitab Allah and Sunnah' is unauthentic than it proves that 50% is based off following an unauthentic hadith. If you can prove me wrong and that Kitab Allah and Ahlulbayt is unauthentic the 50% of the religion of Shia Muslims is false.
  6. Assalaam Malaikum brothers and sisters! It's been a little time since I last posted. I've had another dream that I'd like to share and wonder if anyone would like to offer insight into what it may mean, insha'Allah? I just had it this morning and I can only share with you what I vividly remember and it was towards the end of the dream. I am a man by the way, in case that matters. In the dream I found myself in a house not familiar to myself and it was very messy, not taken care of properly. I found myself standing before a sink (almost like a long kitchen sink that can be found in restaurants that hold a lot of dishware at once) and behind me standing was a woman I recognized as knowing (but in real life I know no one with her facial characteristics) and she was in pain, in pleading for me to help her, guide her. She indicated her eyes, and while I knew she could physically see, it seemed her eyesight was failing her. She was becoming blind and I worried for her mental health. I found compassion for her and told her "Please close your eyes." as I felt having them open (even though blind) was causing her pain (emotional/mental). I then saw her left hand - or rather her left palm which had a hole in it, but no blood. I took a piece of cloth and wrapped her left hand and then I had her embrace me from behind (her right arm over my right shoulder/neck and her left arm under my left arm and upper ribcage to clasp together in front of my chest) I then slowly guided her in her own home calling upon Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) to invoke the blessings of the Ahlulbait(عليه السلام). I never prayed in a dream before and mentioning the Family of the Prophet (عليه السلام) and their blessings upon this woman whom I was guiding is something new to me. I woke up soon after. Thank you for reading Alhamdulilah
  7. “O lions, seize them!” Reading Time: < 1 minute Sayyid Hashim Bahrani, author of Tafseer Burhan narrates that Mansur Dawaniqi summoned seventy natives of Kabul and told them: “You are experts in magic and Ja’far bin Muhammad is also [God forbid] a sorcerer like you. If you can perform a magic trick, which defeats him, I will give you a lot of money.” They began to work upon this and first of all prepared seventy pictures of lions in the court of Mansur. Each of the sorcerers sat near the picture he had sketched. Mansur also sat upon his throne wearing his crown and ordered his men to present Imam Ja’far bin Muhammad ((عليه السلام).), the sixth Divine Proof. When the Imam entered, his eyes fell upon those present there like it is mentioned in the Ziyarat: The seeing eyes of Allah. Then he raised his hands towards the heavens and mentioned some words; some of them softly and some aloud. Then he said: “Woe be on you! I would render your magic and sorcery ineffective.” http://anecdotesofahlulbayt.com/ Then he issued a command and said: “O lions, seize them!” It is mentioned in another report that he said: “O images, each of you, seize your companion!” So, each of the images turned into a ferocious lion and seized its companion. Mansur fell down from his throne unconscious. When he regained senses, he sought the forgiveness of the Imam and said: “My lord and master, tell these lions to return those fellows.” Imam ((عليه السلام).) said: “If the staff of Musa ((عليه السلام).) had returned what it swallowed, they would have also done the same.” That is since the staff of Musa ((عليه السلام).) did not restore those serpents, these would also not do that (Madinatul Maajiz, 363 & 364) Reference : Isbaatul Wilayah (Part One) – Ayatullah AliNamazi Shahroodi ((رضي الله عنه).)

Are you going to argue the people of this verse whomever were meant, never felt grief, and God kept it away from them? please explain.
  9. بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم If Imam Ali(AS) is the true successor of the holly prophet Muhammad(SA), why his name hasn't mentioned in Quran? This question is asked very much, but it is needed to say the idea behind this question was untrue from its very basic, but Shia and Sunni scholars mentioned one verse that contains Imam Ali(AS)'s name. The question is what is this verse? Surah Maryam verse 50: وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِیًّا And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor.(عَلِیًّا(ALi) translated to High while it is a name) Here is the story of this verse: Prophet Abraham(AS) asked Allah for a لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ (a reputation of honor) which is mentioned in Surah Ash-shu'ara verse 84: وَ اجْعَلْ لِی لِسانَ صِدْقٍ فِی الْآخِرِینَ And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations. And its aistajabat(response) mentioned in 50th verse of Surah Maryam. It's aistajabat is not only for Abraham(AS) but for Issac(AS) and Jacob(as) and as it seems for all of the prophets. But there r plenty hadeeth for this field,14 in Shia sources and 1 in Sunni sources and one or two in Zaydie sources can be seen. The firm Hadeeth by sheikh Sadoq in Kamal Al-din(in arabic): حدثنی أبی و محمدُ بن الحسن (رضی الله عنهما) قالا: حدثنا سعدُ بن عبد الله، عن یعقوبَ بن یزید، عن محمدِ بن أبی عُمَیر، عن هِشام بن سالم، عن أبی بصیر، عن أبی عبد الله (علیه السلام)، قال: ... ثم غاب إبراهیم علیه السلام الغیبة الثانیة حین نفاه الطاغوت عن مصر فقال: (وأعتزلکم وما تدعون من دون الله وأدعوا ربی عسى ألّا أکون بدعاء ربی شقیا) فقال الله تقدس ذکره بعد ذلک - (فلما اعتزلهم وما یعبدون من دون الله وهبنا له إسحق ویعقوب وکلا جعلنا نبیا ووهبنا لهم من رحمتنا وجعلنا لهم لسان صدق علیا[مریم/49و50]) یعنی به علی ابن أبی طالب علیه السلام لأن إبراهیم علیه السلام کان قد دعا الله عز وجل أن یجعل له (لسان صدق فی الآخرین[الشعراء/84]) فجعل الله عز وجل له ولإسحاق ویعقوب (لسان صدق علیا) یعنی به علیا علیه السلام. translation:After the second time that Abraham(AS) steped out of Egypt and became abscent. said: "And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allah and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy."(Maryam 48) So after Abraham's dua, Allah said:"So when he had left them and those they worshipped other than Allah , We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet."(Maryam 49) And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor.(Ash-shu'ara 84) [After "(and we made for them a reputation of high honor)وجعلنا لهم لسان صدق علیّاً" Imam Sadeq(AS) said:"It means to Ali(AS)] And this sentence means that Allah meant Ali(AS) by using علیا, because Abraham(AS) asked Allah to put in his line a reputation of high(Ali) honor so Allah put for him and Issac and Jacob a reputation of high(Ali) honor who is Ali(as). ALi bin Abraham's firm Hadeeth in Tafsir Qomi: Ali bin Abraham mentions a hadeeth from Imam Hassan Al-Askari(AS):"وَ جَعَلْنا لَهُمْ لِسانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِیًّا means Amir Al-mo'minin (AS)" In sunni sources: Hakem Haskani one of the sunnis famous interpreters mentions a hadeeth in his book "Shavahid al-tanzil leqava'id al-tafzil"(شواهد التنزیل لقواعد التفضیل) the it somehow the description of Verse 84 of Ash-shu'ara surah: Prophet(SA) said: On the night that they took me to Mi'raj, Gabriel was carrying me on his right wing, I was asked:"Whom you made your sucessor for the residents of earth?" I answered:"The best of them Ali ibn Abi Talib my brother my friend my son in law and uncle's son.I was told:"O Muhammad(SA) Do u love him?"I said:"Yes o creator of all" I was told:"Love him and order your umat(nation) to love him, certainly I am the Highest Ali(علی اعلی) and i gave him his name by derivating -one of-my names and named him Ali(AS), So Gabriel descended and said:"Allah says salam to you and tells you:"Read". I said "What do i Read?" He said:"وَ وَهَبْنا لَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِنا، وَ جَعَلْنا لَهُمْ لِسانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِیًّا":And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor who is Ali(AS). There was many other Haidths in the original text but i think these would suffice for those who have eyes to see. If there is any mistake in translation forgive me for my bad English. source(it is a persian site):http://masaf.ir/View/Contents/22360/%DA%86%D8%B1%D8%A7-%D9%86%D8%A7%D9%85-%D8%B9%D9%84%DB%8C-(%D8%B9%D9%84%DB%8C%D9%87-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85)-%D8%AF%D8%B1-%D9%82%D8%B1%D8%A2%D9%86-%D9%86%DB%8C%D8%A7%D9%85%D8%AF%D9%87-%D8%A7%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%9F
  10. Salam alaykum sisters and brothers and Ramadan Kareem! Yesterday I found out methods of Istikhara and how to perform it by doing tasbeeh (counting beads with a rosary). I performed the same night the same method given out by imam Al Mahdi (A.S) and the first time I got an answer telling me to do it (what is on my mind). I performed again (the same method) after and it instead said to not do it. I then a few minutes after performed another method given out by another imam (A.S) which I forgot whom it was and my answer came out to be to do it. And now a day later i performed istikhara a few times with the different methods by different imams and some of the answers were to not do it while others were to do it. I then performed the istikhara given out by prophet Muhammad (A.S) which you get an answer from by opening the Quran after following some other steps and then seeing which sentence you get. I don’t remember which sentence/verse I got but if I would translate it to an answer I would say the answer were to not do it or like to not do something without Allah allowing it. I’m now very confused, shall I do the thing in my mind or not. I don’t remember if I got “do it” most or “do not do it” most. But I think I got “do it” maybe one or two times more than to not do it. Please if anyone knows what you shall do (based on knowledges) can you please advise me? And please brothers and sisters avoiding telling me to not do it only to be on the safe zone because I really want to make my decision but of course seek Allah the almighty’s knowledge and permission first. Jazakhum Allah Khayr o3alaykum alsalam o rahmat Allah o barakato! Here is the link to where all the methods that I performed are: http://www.duas.org/istikhara.htm
  11. Asalam Alaykum everyone, It may be a childish question but please answer I'm very curious. In heaven, what do you do exactly? I know there is gardens and beautiful luxurious houses etc., but can you do things like fly, teleport, super speed, etc.? What age do you enter in? I heard we all enter in as adults, so babies like Imam Hussain's (a) son will enter heaven as an adult, and so will Mohsen ibn Ali (a) I heard we will all enter in the form of Nabi Adam (a), and the females in the form of Hawaa (eve). Is this true? If so how will we recognize prophet from prophet or imam from imam, or loved one from loved one? Also, when you go to heaven; do you still have relations with your family members? (mom, dad, children, etc.) And when you are in heaven, I know there are 7 levels/stages of heaven, does this mean if you are in any level other than 7, you cannot meet or see a prophet or imam, or holy personality? I hope this isn't the case, I really hope it isn't. That would be so terrible for me. Can you meet or request to see someone on a higher or lower level than you? SubhanAllah...
  12. I’m a 22 year old Shia female who would like to know more.. I feel lost, I feel like I know about Shia because I was raised as one although I don’t think I know the facts.. I want to know so much more, I want to truly understand why Shia people are the right path and how to prove to sunni wrong?? What can we ask sunni people to help them actually see that the people they worship have done wrong.. is all this in the Quran? I’m sorry I don’t know much.. im looking into learning more about my religion as I do not have anyone to teach me and online wasn’t something I liked to refer to. Thank you
  13. Asalaamualaikum brothers and sisters, I have recently been reading about the amazing Islamic figure, Imam Zayd Ibn Ali (RA). I have to say this is one of the greatest people I have ever read about! I had a few questions to my Shia brothers and sisters. Apart from his uprising against the oppressive and corrupt ummayads and his beautiful character, one of the things that caught my attention about Imam Zayd (RA) is his respect for some for the sahaba. For example Imam Zayd refused to speak ill of Umar ibn Khattab (RA) and Abu Bakr Siddique (RA): The people of Kufah were now called upon to honour their oaths and fulfill their pledges .They did gather around Zayd ibn ‘Ali but not to protect him, rather to question him about his beliefs (after inciting him to accept their oaths and rise up against the rulers): They asked: “What is your view, may the mercy of Allah be upon you, regarding Abu Bakr and ‘Umar?” Zayd ibn ‘Ali answered, “May Allah forgive them. I did not hear anyone of the Ahl al-Bayt dissociating from them and I only speak good of them… They ruled and displayed justice and enforced and practiced upon the Qur’an and Sunnah.” (Narrated by Tabari and others) ALLAHUAKBAR, So a serious question I want to ask to the twelver shia is: Are'nt these people that deserted Zayd ibn Ali (RA) the same ones that deserted Imam Husayn (RA)? and isn't this proof (among many more proofs) that we should curse abu bakr and Umar?
  14. Salam Alaikum all, I'm not sure if this the right place to post this, but I wanted to spread awareness about this. There is a group of volunteers who are subtitling Shia lectures and the YouTube link is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEgIPLYOKQgvDHCbIFWr_-Q This is useful accessibility for those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. To be updated when a new lecture is subtitled, follow their social media accounts: - Instagram, Twitter and Facebook: ShiaAccess Please share this message to raise awareness for those in need, Wsalams.
  15. AssalamOalaikum, I have been locating the grave of the maternal grand-father of Imam Ali (a.s), Hazrat Assad Ibn Hashim. I got mixed reviews from the people, some says he was buried in Al-Baqi, and some says, he was buried in Mecca, nobody has a proper answer. If any of you in this forum knows about this, please share with me. Jazaak Allah!
  16. InshAllah you will all benefit by these sources: Intercession in The Holy Quran: "No intercessor can plead with Him except after His permission."-Qur'an 10:3 Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission?-Quran 2:255 On that Day, no intercession shall avail, except the one from whom Allah the Most Gracious has given permission and whose word is acceptable to Him-Qur'an 20:109 And they cannot intercede, except for him with whom He is pleased-Qur'an 21:28 None shall have the power of intercession except such a one as has received permission or a promise from Allah the Most Gracious.-Qur'an 19:87 Intercession with Him profits not except for he whom He permits-Qur'an 34:23 We sent no messenger but to be obeyed by the leave of Allah. If they who have been unjust to themselves had come to you (Prophet Muhammad) and begged Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had begged forgiveness for them - indeed, they would have found Allah All-Forgiving, Most Merciful-Qur'an 4:64 (The brothers of Yusuf) said, 'O our father! Ask forgiveness from Allah for our sins. Indeed, we have been sinners.' He said, 'I will ask my Lord for forgiveness for you. Verily, He, only He, is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful-Qur'an 12:97-98 Intercession of Prophet Mohammad (Sawa) In this Hadith the Prophet(saws) intercedes for this blind man: A blind man came to the Prophet and said: "Invoke Allah for me that he help me." He replied: If you wish I will delay this, and it would be better for you, and if you wish I will invoke Allah the Exalted (for you)." He said:"Then invoke him." The Prophet said to him: idhhab fa tawadda', wa salli rak`atayn thumma qul -- "Go and make an ablution, pray two rak`at, then say: "O Allah, I am asking you (as'aluka) and turning to you (atawajjahu ilayka) with your Prophet Muhammad (bi nabiyyika Muhammad), the Prophet of mercy; O Muhammad (ya Muhammad), I am turning with you to my Lord regarding my present need / I am asking my Lord with your intercession concerning the return of my sight (inni atawajjahu bika ila rabbi fi hajati hadhih -- another version has: inni astashfi`u bika `ala rabbi fi raddi basari) so that He will fulfill my need; O Allah, allow him to intercede (with you) for me (allahumma shaffi`hu fiyya)." I turn to you by your Prophet, the Prophet of Mercy (Allahumma, inni atawajjahu ilayka bi nabiyyika nabi al-rahma...)." Then it says: "O Muhammad! I turn to Allah by you to solve my difficulties." Ibn Majah; al-Nisa'i; Tirmidhi; al-Husn al-Hasin, ibn al-Juzri Umar Invoking Intercession: Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 17, Number 123: Narrated Anas: Whenever drought threatened them, ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab, used to ask Al-Abbas bin ‘Abdul Muttalib to invoke Allah for rain. He used to say, “O Allah ! We used to ask our Prophet to invoke You for rain, and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O Allah ! Bless us with rain.” And so it would rain. Intercession Done by The Son of Umar: It is narrated that the feet of 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar al-Khattab became disabled and would no longer carry him. After being told to call upon the closest people to his heart, he said: "Wa Muhammada!" His feet were cured and worked properly again. Shifa' al-Asqam, al-Samhudi Intercession of Sahabi Umar Ibn Ibrahim Al-Khatib narrates in Tarikh Baghdad that the truthful (saduq) qadi al-Husayn ibn `Ali al-Saymari narrated to them, that the trustworthy (thiqa) Imam `Umar ibn Ibrahim [ibn Ahmad] al-Muqri told him, that the trustworthy Shaykh Makram ibn Ahmad told them, that `Umar ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim [status?] told them, that the trustworthy Shaykh `Ali ibn Maymun told them: ‘I heard al-Shafi`i say: “I swear I seek the blessing of Abu Hanifa (inni la’atabarraku bi-Abi Hanifa) and come to his grave every day"’ meaning as a visitor. “Whenever I have a certain need I pray two rak`as then I come to his grave and ask Allah Most High for my need at his grave, and little time passes until it is fulfilled.” Narrated by al-Khatib in Tarikh Baghdad (1:123)cf. al-Kawthari in his Maqalat (p. 453) and by Ibn Abi al-Wafa’ in Tabaqat al-Hanafiyya (p. 519) through al-Ghaznawi. Imam al-Haytami cites it in the thirty-fifth chapter of his book on Imam Abu Hanifa entitled al-Khayrat al- Hisan. Fatwas on the Permissibility of Intercession By Ahlus-Sunnah Scholars: All jurists including Imami, Shafi'i, Maliki, and later-day Hanafi scholars as well as others such as the Hanbalis, are unanimous on the permissibility of this way of supplication, whether it was in the lifetime of the Prophet (s), or whether it is after his passing away. 1. Sharh al-Mawahib, vol. 8, p. 304; 2. al-Majmu', vol. 8, p. 274; 3. Ibn 'Abidin, vol. 5, p.254; 4. al-Fatawa al-Hindiyyah, vol. 1, p. 266 and vol. 5, 318; 5. Fath al-Qadir, vol. 8, p. 297, 298 6. al-Futuhat al-Rabbaniyyah 'ala al-Azkar al-Nabawiyyah, vol. 5, p. 36 Imam Malik urged an Abbaside Khalifa to seek the tawassal of Rasulullah (s) The Abbasid caliph, Mansur al-Dawaniqi, once asked Imam Malik ibn Anas whether he should turn towards the grave of the Prophet (s) or face the Qiblah for supplication? Malik answered him: Why do you want to turn away from the Prophet (s) when he (Prophet Muhammad (s)) is the wasilah (means) for you and for your father Adam, towards Allah on the Day of Resurrection. Turn to him (the Prophet) and seek his intercession (shafa'at). -Al-Mughni ma' al-Sharh, vol. 3, p. 588; -al-Sharh al-Kabir ma' al-Mughni, vol. 3, p. 494; -al-Qadi `Iyad in al-Shifa (2:92-93) Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal advocated making tawassal through Rasulullah (s) The correct position of the [Hanbali] madhhab is that it is permissible in one's supplication (du`a) to use as means a pious person, and it is said that it is desirable (mustahabb). Imam Ahmad said to Abu Bakr al-Marwazi:yatawassalu bi al-nabi fi du`a'ih -- "Let him use the Prophet as a means in his supplication to Allah -al-Insaf fi ma`rifat al-rajih min al-khilaf `ala madhhab al-Imam al-mubajjal Ahmad ibn Hanbal (3:456): Imam Shaafi would make tawassal through the Ahlul bayt (as) - Ibn Hajr Haytami - al-Sawa`iq al-muhriqa li ahl al-dalal wa al-zandaqa (eg page 180) and al-Khayrat al-hisan (p. 69) Imam Shafi`i made tawassul through the Family of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt) when he said Al al-nabi dhari`ati wa hum ilayhi wasilati arju bihim u`ta ghadan bi yadi al-yamini sahifati The Family of the Prophet are my means and my intermediary to him. Through them I hope to be given my record with the right hand tomorrow. -Ibn Hajr Haytami, in Al-Sawa`iq al-muhriqa li ahl al-dalal wa al-zandaqa (eg page 180) -al-Khayrat al-hisan (p. 69) This has also been found in Diwan al-Shafi`i as edited by `Umar Faruq al-Dabbagh (Beirut: Dar al-arqam, n.d.) p. 50. The pilgrim should face the shrine of the Messenger of Allah (s), make him a means (tawassul) towards reaching God and seek his wasilah as intercession (shafa'at), in the same manner as the Bedouin who visited the Prophet's shrine and standing beside it said: Peace unto you O Messenger of Allah, I have heard Allah has said: ...Had they, when they had wronged themselves, come to you and asked Allah's forgiveness and the Apostle had asked forgiveness for them, they would certainly have found Allah Most-Propitious, Most-Merciful. (Holy Qur'an 4: 64). Therefore, I have come to you for forgiveness of my sins and seeking your intercession with Allah. -Al-Majmu', vol. 8, p. 274; -Fayd al-Qadir, vol. 2, p. 134; -I'anah al-Talibiyyin, p. 315. Ibn Qudamah Hanbalis tawassal supplication before the tomb of Rasulullah (s):- Ibn Qudamah Hanbali, defining the manner of pilgrimage to the shrine of the Prophet (s), writes in the book al-Mughni Stand beside the tomb of the Prophet (s), and say: I have come to you for forgiveness of my sins and to seek your intercession with Allah. 1. Al-Mughni ma' al-Sharh, vol. 3, p. 588; 2. al-Sharh al-Kabir ma' al-Mughni, vol. 3, p. 494 Imam Ghazzali al Shaafiis tawassal supplication before the tombs of Rasulullah (s) and Ahlul bayt (as) Imam of Ahlul Sunnah Abdul Hamid Ghazzali allotted a special section in his book Ihya' 'Ulum al-Din concerning the manners of pilgrimage to the shrine of the Prophet (s) in order to repent and seek forgiveness from Allah. He stated: The Prophet should be made the means (wasilah) and the intercessor (shafi'), and with face turned towards the tomb, the pilgrim should implore Allah for the sake and position of the Prophet with the words: "O Allah, indeed You have said, Had they, who had wronged themselves, come to you and asked Allah's forgiveness and the Apostle had asked forgiveness for them, they would have certainly found Allah Most-Propitious, Most-Merciful (Holy Qur'an 4:64); Al-Ghazzali also added: It is recommended the pilgrim should go daily to the Baqi' Cemetery and after saluting the Prophet (s), make pilgrimage to the tombs of (Imam) Hasan ibn 'Ali, (Imam) 'Ali ibn al-Husayn, (Imam) Muhammad ibn 'Ali and (Imam) Ja'far ibn Muhammad (Allah be pleased with them), and also perform the Salat in the Mosque of Fatimah (Allah be pleased with her). -Ihya' 'Ulum al-Din, vol. 1, pp. 258-261
  17. Nahjul Balagha, Sermon 126 Ali says:“With regard to me, two categories of people will be ruined, namely he who loves me too much and the love takes him away from rightfulness, and he who hates me too much and the hatred takes him away from rightfulness. The best man with regard to me is he who is on the middle course. So be with him and be with the great majority of Muslims because Allah’s hand of protection is on keeping unity. You should beware of division because the one isolated from the group is a prey to Satan just as the one isolated from the flock of sheep is a prey to the wolf. Beware! Whoever calls to this course [of sectarianism], kill him, even though he may be under this headband of mine.” What will be the ruling on those shias in the interest of justice who used to insult ahlebayt on name of their love and? Also on those scholars/marjaas who encourage and support them?
  18. What were the final words or last will of ahlulbayt. From 1st Imam to 11th Imam? And of our beloved Prophet Muhammad saww? Any narrations?
  19. Wouldn't the Ahl-al-Bayt ruling over the Ummah be the same as reinforcing this idea of a dynastic ruling group present during the time of pre-Islamic Arabia? I personally believe Ali should've been Caliph before he did, but having only the progeny of Ali lead the Muslims, regardless if he's in the lineage of the Prophet (pbuh) can be dangerous. One's familial relationship to the Prophet shouldn't automatically make them a just and able ruler. Of course they should be respected either way.

  22. Below mentioned some narrations show the love, care and respect Umar a.s had for ahlebait a.s. Same Umar a.s whom twelver shia regard as killer of Sayeda Fatima s.a. From Musannaf ibn abi Shaybah: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، قَالَ: ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، أَرَادَ أَنْ يَفْرِضَ لِلنَّاسِ، وَكَانَ رَأْيُهُ خَيْرًا مِنْ رَأْيِهِمْ، فَقَالُوا: ابْدَأْ بِنَفْسِكَ، فَقَالَ: «لَا، فَبَدَأَ بِالْأَقْرَبِ فَالْأَقْرَبِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،» فَفَرَضَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ ثُمَّ عَلِيٍّ حَتَّى وَالَى بَيْنَ خَمْسِ قَبَائِلَ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ [Zayd bin al-Hubab told us (Thiqah Imam), al-Qassim bin Ma`n told us (Thiqah Imam Kufi), from Ja`far (al-Sadiq), from his father, that when `Umar wanted to distribute among the people, and he was the best of them in opinion, they said: “Begin with yourself.” So he said: “No, I begin with those closest to the Prophet (saw).” So he distributed to al-`Abbas then to `Ali the Khums and continued to do so for every tribe until he ended with bani `Adi bin Ka`b. [Waki` told us (Thiqah Imam), Suffiyan told us (Thiqah Imam), from Ja`far, from his father, that he said: When `Umar was establishing the Diwans, he consulted the people. He asked: “With whom do I begin?” They said: “Begin with yourself?” He said: “No, but I shall begin with those closest to the Prophet (saw).” So he began with them.] [Muhammad bin `Abdullah al-Asadi told us, Hibban told us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha`bi, that they brought `Umar seven million from Jalula’, so he ordered their distribution and consulted. `Abdul-Rahman bin `Awf said: “Start with yourself, you have the most right.” He replied: “No, I shall begin with those closest to the Prophet (saw), those who witnessed Badr until I end with myself.” So he ordered that `Ali receive five thousand, then to bani Hashim, those of them that witnessed Badr, then to their servants, then allies, and he kept on going until his own turn.] From al-Amwal lil-Qassim bin Salam: قال : وحدثت عن عبد الوهاب بن عبد المجيد الثقفي ، عن جعفر بن محمد ، عن أبيه ، أن عمر ألحق الحسن والحسين بأبيهما ، وفرض لهما في خمسة آلاف وحدثني نعيم بن حماد ، عن عبد العزيز بن محمد ، عن جعفر بن محمد ، عن أبيه ، أن عمر فعل ذلك بالحسن والحسين [He said: And I was told from `Abd Wahb bin `Abdul-Majeed al-Thaqafi, from Ja`far bin Muhammad, from his father, that `Umar followed `Ali by his sons al-Hasan and al-Husayn giving each of them five thousand. And Nu`aym bin Hammad (Imam Saduq) told me, from `Abdul-`Aziz bin Muhammad al-Darawardi (Hasan al-Hadith) from Ja`far bin Muhammad, from his father, that `Umar indeed did so with al-Hasan and al-Husayn.]
  23. Assalumu alaykum. do you guys know if this ring is real( or fake) and will give the benefits of the aqeeq? http://www.shiashopping.com/shop/aqeeq-ring-challa/ Or Shall I let one I know buy from Mashad? hope you can help.
  24. Salam all, I hope these couple of questions can be answered by people from the 4 sheikh schools of thought, especially Hanafi: If a member of Ahlul Sunna stops following or believing in any of the first 3 caliphs, is that person still considered a muslim? Also, if a member of Ahlul Sunna stops following or believeing in Imam Ali or Sayeda Fatima, is that person still considered a muslim? I need to know the opinions of the general sunnis on these questions because the shia position is clear, however, I am lacking knowledge on the sunni opinion.
