    I hope I have a brother or sister with a good heart. I have an English assignment, which I have to hand-in about like 6 hours from now. It is a quite important essay, therefore, I need someone to look at my grammar etc. (I am not English myself).

    First of all, I want to direct this message to the mods/admins. Please do not, I repeat, do not lock/delete this thread. Last time I posted a similar issue, and my thread was placed on "trash pit". That was quite weird. I hope this will not repeat itself. We need to discuss this. 

    The chatroom, which many brothers and sisters use, is quite problematic, according to our scholars. Let me explain. I was told by a scholar, whom I asked, about joking etc., with the opposite gender (a non-mahram), which was not allowed according to Sayed al-Sistani. If you look at the chatroom, various discussions, talks etc., takes place. However, non-Islamic things do also take place, such as joking/telling funny stories etc., with the opposite gender. I have myself been quite aware of this, and I, which I think we all do, fear to commit haram. I listened to Sayed Sábah al-Shubbar (a famous fïqh scholar), who discussed this (according to Sistani and other scholars), and he speaks about this issue too. 

    Personally, we all want to know what is halal and haram. To eat non-halal food is haram. To use bad language against one's parents is haram and so on and so forth. I naturally want to open this discussion, so that we might discuss how we should chat etc., and look into what our scholars say. 

    What do you say? Is the chatroom perhaps filled with some types of communication, which are not allowed or is it perhaps halal?

    I am still learning - I want to know the rulings. I am not bashing anyone, because I use the chatroom myself. And no, I really do not want the admin (like he did last time) to just lock the thread. The answer is not as simple as such. I was messaged by a brother, who showed me discussions with a scholar he had, which clearly mentioned that it was haram to joke etc.. On the other hand, some might argue that it might be halal.

    Let's get into this inshallah.

    1. It is mustahab to say "kadhalikallahu rabi" OR "khadhalikallahu rabbuna" once or three times BUT THIS IS ONLY AFTER SURAT AT-TAWHEED!
    - This is ONLY mustahab to recite for the person who recites surat al-tawheed. This means that those who follow the Imam must not recite this. This is from the hâdith. 
    2. It is indedd mustahab to recite "Astaghfirallaha rabbi wa atubu ilayh" between the two sâjdah (when you are sitting after the first sâjdah). 
    3. Regarding A'udu billahi min ashaytan arajeem, it is mustahab precaution that it should be said with a low voice. 
    4. After tasbih az-zahra it is mustahab to say "la ilaha illah".
    5. It is also mustahab to recite surat tâwhid at least in one of your prayers. 
    6. It is mustahab between adhan or iqama that you move a step forward.
    7. It is also mustahab not to recite surat tawheed in one breath, but to stop at each verse.
    8. In tasbihat al arabah it is mustahab to recite it three times. It is not KNOWN if two is mustahab. If a person wants to recite MORE than three times he CAN but with the intention of "the rememberane of Allah (dhikr'ilAllah). 
    9. It is also mustahab to recite surat inna anzala (Qadr) in the prayers. 

    Allahuma sali ala Muhammad wa Ahle Muhammad!

    Same reason why I could not comprehend how the less knowledgeable can determine who is the most, I do not think we can discuss this at our level of knowledge.

    I tend to appreciate scholars according to their level of courage, be it against enemies of Islam or against corrupt elites amongst politicians or institutions.

    Amongst contemporaries of Sayid Al Khoei, I would prefer Sayid al Khomeini, Sayid Fadlallah, Sayid Mohamad Sadiq  al Sadr. Allah bless them, all.

    Sayed Fadlallah - from what I know - is not considered a mârja by some big scholars.

    If a non-sâyid woman marries a sâyid man their children become sâyed/sâyeda. 

    However, if a non-sâyed man marries a sâyeda their children don't become sâyed/sâyeda. 

    What is the reason for this? 

    And I ask Allah to protect you all.
