  1. The non-permanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed. - Bhagavad Gita 2.14
  2. Mother of believers doesn't mean that a mother of a believer cannot be an apostate.
  3. Imam Yahya bin Saeed Al Qattan (died 198 AH) said: “Don’t look at the narration, but look to the Isnaad (chain), if the chain is authentic(then it’s fine), If the chain is not sound, then don’t be deceived. ” (Al jaamiul akhlaaq al-raavi wa Adaab al-saama, chain :sahih )
  4. plagiarized from tashayyu Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following.:”The holy Prophet (s.a.), “Over every truth there is a reality and above every valid issue there is light. Whatever agrees with the holy Quran you must follow it and whatever does not agree disregard it.”(Al kafi H 197, Ch. 22, h 1).
  5. Forget their preference of repugnant corpus over Quran rather just contemplate over following Fatwa and see how far they have gone in violating the Law of Allah and Prophetic (saw) sunnah. Their heads must be in shame ad infinitum if they have any conscience. Imam Abul Hassan Al-Karkhi: Principle: Every verse that opposes the statement (ruling) of our scholars, it will be said this verse of the Holy Qur'aan has been abrogated. Principle: And if we receive a Hadeeth of the Prophet (saw) that opposes the statement (ruling) of our scholars, it will be dealt with as abrogated.
  6. There are many ahadith present in their corpus which contradict Quran but even then render them as sahih and feels no hesitation in accepting them. Just an example Narrated Ibn 'Umar from his father: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The deceased is tortured in his grave for the wailing done over him." Narrated Shu'ba: The deceased is tortured for the wailing of the living ones over him. Sahih al-Bukhari 1292, Vol. 2, Book 23, Hadith 379 Contradicts Qur'an: أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ [Shakir 53:38] That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- and also 35:18, 6:164, 39:

  9. “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”(Luke 6:37)
  10. “When Sanatana Gosvami asked Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu about the svarupa of every living being, the Lord replied that the svarupa or constitutional position of the living being is the rendering of service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. If we analyze this statement of Lord Caitanya’s, we can easily see that every living being is constantly engaged in rendering service to another living being. A living being serves other living beings in two capacities. By doing so, the living entity enjoys life. The lower animals serve human beings as servants serve their master. A serves B master, B serv
  11. I am unable to fathom why people read Quran or any other religious corpus like an engineer who reads road map for the construction of road. Things are not always have to be taken literally for example when we use the terms like sunset and sunrise then do we literally mean sun rises and sun sets? No. Quran uses the same pattern . It is generally saying that we have created you in Pairs . Let me make it more incisive with one more example let us say you are to address a gathering , so what will you say in general ? you will say " Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen " will it mean there is no other gen

  14. “Beyond meditation practice, there is attitude. A beginner must learn to cultivate what is called, “the poise of a dying man”. What is this poise? It is the poise of knowing what is important and what is not, and of being accepting and forgiving. Anyone who has ever been at the bedside of a dying man will understand this poise. What would the dying man do if someone were to insult him? Nothing. What would the dying man do if someone were to strike him? Nothing. As he lay there, would he scheme to become famous or wealthy? No. If someone who had once offended him were to ask him for his forgive
  15. Aslam-O-Alaykum . Usually I am not skeptical about Ahadith but this time I am not being able to accept reports existing in both Sunni and Shia corpus regarding the occurrence of Earthquakes. There is a viral hadith from Ayesha that earthquakes occur when there is too much fornication and obscenity . I was curious about the stance of shia corpus germane to this matter. Eventually I was able to locate following hadith on this matter : Ja‟far ibn Ali ibn al-Hassan al-Kufy - may God be pleased with him - narrated that his grandfather ibn Ali ibn Abdullah ibn al-Muqayrih al-Kufy narrated that
  16. There is no good reason to be befuddled regarding it . There are different systems of governance like Plutocracy, Theocracy , Democracy , Autocracy etc . Secularism is one of them that is composed of two points aforementioned above. In Pakistan there is a great debate regarding the system of governance i.e. whether it should be Theocratic , Autocratic or Secular . I believe secularism is idoneous in case of Pakistan .
  17. Good question though off topic . Well different people envisage secularism in different ways with their various definitions of it. However , I don't understand and define secularism the way it is conventionally done . In my opinion , secularism is not tantamount to absence of religion rather it is composed of following two points 1- Religion is one's private matter and state ( or anyone) should not intervene into the religious matters of people. 2- Willing to respect opinions different from one's own.
  18. How on earth can you say that it is my viewpoint ? Don't put your words in my mouth
  19. Aslam-o-Alaykum . Hope everyone will be hale and hearty with the grace of Allah Almighty . For the past few days I have been looking into the arguments that are most often adduced by atheists against theists. Among them , as per my findings , the most difficult to rebut was their stance on Eid Ul Azha . They opine that it is an event of sheer atrocity and brutality . If God is so merciful then why He wants people to slit the throats of animals in His way and label that a sacrifice. The recent incident of Dhaka's streets flooded with blood reinforces their reasoning . So isn't it crystal clear
  20. I hear from many Muslims that: * Hindus can't build houses of worship. * Christians and Jews must either pay jizya, convert, or get killed. * Muslims who convert out are to be killed. Etc... Aren't these stuff we criticize ISIS for?
  21. It can be answered in sundry ways . I think his argument is flawed . Even if we accept that he is right for the sake of argument then it does not make Umar automatically a good person because at times Allah Almighty may even support His religion by a unchaste and wicked person ( Fajir ) http://sunnah.com/bukhari/64/243 Secondly the point is he is talking in numbers then maximum numbers have been converted in last ten years of this era so would that mean it is the best era ? something to contempplate over . 23. which further reveals how much brother is ignoramus about shias and tashayuu Amiral-Muminin(a.s): واختار لنا شيعة ، ينصروننا و يفرحون لفرحنا ويحزنون لحزننا الخصال ص 635 حديث أربعمائة Imam Al-Sadiq(a.s): قال : رحم الله دمعتك ، أما انك من الذين يعدون من أهل الجزع لنا والذين يفرحون لفرحنا ويحزنون لحزننا كامل الزيارات ص 204 باب 32
  24. salam brother al hashmi , brother we cannot cherry pick ahadith germane to this issue i.e. take the some which support our view and leave the rest which don't . In order to have a clear image of the event we have to consider all the ahadith . We can either take all the ahadith or reject all of them . so now kindly elaborate how this event supports sunni position ? also for your information a famous sufu sunni shiekh abdul qadir gillani has rejected this event and he said that this event besmirches the image of umar bin khattab
