  1. Aslamalaykum, If you notice in the narrations, the beggar made several pleas but none responded including Imam Ali a.s but when he said the following (bolded part) Hazrat Abu Zar Ghaffari (ra) says that one day he was praying with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) when a beggar came to the Prophet's mosque (Masjid-e-Nabavi) in Madina and began to ask for alms. No one responded to his pleas. The beggar raised his hands towards heavens and said, "Allah! Be a witness that I came to Thy Prophet's mosque and no one gave me anything." When a Prophet or an Imam prays, their attention/foc

Mathew 7:13-14 13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

  5. the scholars have said that there are two kinds of 'Will of God' one which is for Ahkaam and issues like that, that AllahÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì wants to change and send them whenever needed which is called Irada Al-Tashri'i, and the other is that kind of 'Will' which is eternal,Irada Al-Takwini, the eternal Will means Allah always wanted that, and since whatever He wills it will be done, so when AllahÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì created the Prophet(saw) and his Household he purified them and took away every impurity from them. and that was even before AllahÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì has created Adam(a.s), otherwise it would mean
  6. Sister the greatest gift God has given us is our ability to bear without breaking and this ability comes with hope . Vicissitudes make me depressed most of the times as well . Whenever I feel like this , I just open Bhagvad-geeta and its soothing verses fill my heart and mind with patience and calmness . Let me share some of them The non-permanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them
  7. Studies/ grades alone doesn't determine whether a person is intelligent or not : ) . Philosophical people are very intelligent and sagacious , not being able to screen out unnecessary stimuli, over analyzing and over thinking everything, being able to see through fake and shallow people surely take toll.
  8. “Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know.”~Ernest Hemingway
  9. No. the verse says 'If you disagree'. It doesn't say anything about 'if those vested in authority dispute with each other'. That answers all the objections above. As for the verse regarding the Quran the Shias have their own interpretation. The other issue here is that assuming that those vested in authority should be obeyed or followed we come to know that the so called 'Rightly guided Caliphs' and adhering to their ways is not compatible with the Sunni ideology. For example let us look at the following statement from the renowned scholar Ibn Qayyim; 'The violations of Umar against
  10. ok so what is the problem then ? It is the character of person that matters most. Lineage doesn't matter but unfortunately sunni understands this much better than shias these days
  11. That is very astute of you august brother but as per the prevailing hamartia ; humans have been wearing a mask for so long that they have forgotten who they were beneath it .

  15. It is beyond my imagination how the tiny creatures like bees and ants are still protected from their takfeer
  16. both do takfeer of each other . Imam Aba Bakr Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Khuzaima said: ‘Whoever does not admit that Allah is sitting on a throne above the seventh sky, is a Kafir and his blood must be shed. He must be made to repent. Otherwise his neck must be struck and thrown into the garbage.’ Maj
  17. What is the big deal if there are mickle of Sunni Huffaz? Everyone is cognizant of how brutally children are treated in their seminaries. They are beaten , lashed and rebuked for committing minor mistakes and asking questions. They are forced to rote learn the verses of Quran .These seminaries are the hatcheries of suicide bombers and mass murderers .I have a firsthand knowledge of this prevailing hamartia. If someone considers it to be an achievement of monumental value then I pity such rotten intellect
  18. Your husband needs to understand that not everyone is like professor Charles Xavier. Anyhow, prerequisite of stability in any relationship is "Mutual-cooperation". Keeping expectations from one side and not playing your own role is utterly asinine . Furthermore , no one is impeccable . One has to accept each other with one's imperfections. This is what that makes any relation beautiful. I am unable to fathom why some people have trouble deciphering this though we are sentient beings.
  19. Federer ! For heavens sake ! Beat that Spaniard this time or else you will owe me a TV ! Remember it is not clay !
  20. As this universe in its totality has emerged from the Divine Essence as a manifestation of the Divine Attributes, it is necessary to recognize that what we term ‘evil’ is actually the misappropriation of ‘good’. Even the most beautiful of attributes or deeds can become wretched when applied in the wrong place – as patience can become cowardice or laziness when action is required, a ‘wājib’ prayer is rendered ‘harām’ when performed on stolen property, lawful capital punishment misapplied becomes murder, and envy is ‘tabarra’ aimed at the wrong target. Saa’dī exemplifies this notion in the verse
  21. With uttermost deference, say, we are no one to decide what is truth and what is false . Every one has its own truth and own false . Truth comes with plethora of intricate layers . Penetration to these layers depends upon person's aptitude , reasoning , thinking and intrinsic inclination . Diversity and hierarchy are the very foundation of this world and they are of monumental significance . One must not try to enforce uniform view upon people under the pretext of "Truth and False " .
