    Hi iraqi_shia
I agree blood sacrifice cannot remove sin. As you point out the New Testament agrees here, whereas the Old Testament prescribes animal sacrifices. Judaism and Christianity is not the same religion.

I am amazed to learn that Muslims believe all creatures can form sentences like humans can.

If you believe God wrote that ants can speak, of course this must be true to you. I understand this very well. But your problem is that you believe God said so. Ants cannot speak. Period. Why does the Quran say so? What was the point? Have you got a clue?

It is not surprising that this was credible 1.400 years ago, but it is very surprising that you can believe so in 2018. Like believing the world is flat.
According to the Bible, a snake spoke with Eve. You believe snakes can speak also?

There is no swedish law that forbids a person to dislike someone. If you by "rejection" mean that the father has no right to stop the marriage if the daughter wishes to be "disobedient", there is no problem. I am certain many Sharia laws from a Swedish view seem sensible, not all however. Lashing someone for adultery on Swedish soil is not allowed. Marrying 4 wives is not possible either. But everybody has freedom to have many partners if they wish.

The history of the Biblical books and the Quran has some similarities. Both are written on basis of oral memories. We do not know very much about the persons that documented them, but what they wrote is rather well preserved. Corruption is not an apropiate word on any of them.

No matter what we think our holy books say,  fact is that slavery has been accepted as something natural in both Christian and Islamic countries until not that long ago. Slavery still exists.

By corruption I mean a Book where the meaning has changed. Sanaa Quran has different orders of the Suras, this does not change the meaning of the content. Sentences are also not always similar. This does not necessarily change the meaning either  ( It can, if one like Trump "forgets" a negation). We read translations where sentences sound and look totally different, but the meaning still can be the same as in original Arabic. Muhammed himself could very well have used different wording when retelling the words if the Angel, which could have resulted in different versions.
In the same way the Books of the Bible have not been corrupted. There may be additions, like the obvious last chapter of Johns Gospel that imformes us that the preceeding chapters were written by the "beloved desciple" or the ending of Mark, that may have been lost. As long ad these variations do not alter the content of the Gospels, corruption is much to strong a word to use.

Of course I know that Muslim sects allowing female Imams are very seldom. But religion changes, and the great majority can become a minority. Right now Sunni Muslums are 80%. Nobody knows what it will be in 2118. My guess is that female Imam percentage will increase. At least in democratic nations.
I agree Boko Haram is a terrorist movement. However they regard themselves as the only genuine true Muslims. Fanatics, you know. Please dont give western powers all guilt for the mess in the Muslim world. Many muslims are also grown ups.

All fanatics believe only they know the will of God. Christian and Muslim fanatics alike. I may be wrong, but it is my impression that Lutherans and Catholics are more open to the thought that they sometimes may be wrong, than Sunnies and Shias are.

All religions change. Islam us no exception. Shias, Sunnies, Alawit, Boko Haram. Only one can be identical to the first. Most likely none of them is.

There is a lot more text in thr Bible to consider, but you better discuss this with someone that believe in the trinity.

I know, but I was speaking about the difference between the oldest Sanaa Quran, which text and also order of Surahs differs from Uthmans. If not original, this must be a copy of an unknown Quran version.
When it comes to text in brackets, I like the translations of the Quran without brackets better. The brackets do not always agree from one translaters to another, reflecting the translaters different interpretations.

The way I understand the Bible, there is no trinity.  Most Christians however believe in trinity, not all in the same way.  However there is no way to prove right or wrong, the question of the nature of divine beings is far above human understanding

    Hi Qa'im
Mongols are not the only ones destroing documents, Muslims, Christians and many other cultures did the same thing. Somerhing like 25 Gospels were known to have existed because they were mentioned in documents having survived, sometimes with quotes. Many of them were found in Egypt 70 years ago. This could also happen to early Islamic documents. In fact it does happen, old Qirans have been found, but what do we know about old "heretic" islamic works? The many erroneous Qurans that Uthman burned for example.

Claiming Muhammed also was called Ahmed us easy. It could be interesting to know how long after Muhammed death this claim was recorded.
Why would Muhsmmed say "Ahmed" if he meant "Muhammed" ?  It is indeed very misleading. A perfect book does not mislead.

We all know you think the Bible is corrupted, but this is not the topic. The topic is the headline question you find so difficult that you cant answer.
    Try to consider this:
Where does the Quran say Muhammed is a false prophet? The simple answer is that the Quran never say so.
Where does the Quran say the Bible is corrupted? The simple answer is that the Quran never say so.

It could be. It is not fair by modern ethics, that a woman whos wishes to remain a Virgin has being spoiled by a rapist, should suffer because of this.
