  1. There are many things in Islam that would contradict the morality of many non-Muslims, especially westerners. For example, equality, freedom of speech, and homosexuals are all viewed as very negative in Islam, while many westerners have view them positively. If I wanted to convert some to Islam, could I hide all the hadith that contradict their morality, and just say Islam agrees with freedom of speech, equality...etc..? If I don't, and tell them the truth, then they wouldn't even think of converting. So which one would be the better choice?
  2. What do you mean by the 'most questioning'? Is there something wrong with asking questions? There are authentic hadith where our Imams say it is obligatory to kill male apostates, how can you get around that??? How can 'Motahiri' argue against that???
  3. The only apostates that are allowed to be given time are the ones who weren't born a Muslim. I suggest you disassociate yourself from these 4 apostates, otherwise you would be going against Islam.
  4. Apostasy is 100% punishable under Islam. Males are to be killed, females are to be imprisoned for life. It doesn't contradict the Qur'an at all.
  5. The existence of Fibonacci numbers aren't solid proof of god. The reason they appear everywhere is because of how nature and maths work.
  6. I have yet to see any Shia hadith mentioning 72 virgins, and it these '72 virgins' probably don't exist in the Shia hadith. I think that martyrs will get much more than 72.
  7. You are saying that 9:5 refers to a historic event, well, 5:32 also refers to a historic event. Notice how Allah (swt) says: "We ordained for the Children of Israel"
  8. What if I were to quote sura 9, verse 5, which says 'slay them wherever you find them', and say that this verse is for the past, present, future? Would you agree with me?
  9. pureethics is right. The verse is talking about killing innocent people who don't attack you first, but remember, this verse is talking about the Children of Israel, not to us Muslims, so you can't use this verse as proof that Islam does not allow the killing of innocent people.
  10. What are their views regarding the abrogation of the Quranic verses? How many verses do they think have been abrogated?
  11. She was 7 when she got married, and the marriage got consummated when she was 10. Get over it.
