labaikYaZahra got a reaction from AfricanShia in Power Of Aqiq
salaam
I just read this and thought i'd share it because i found it very interesting! i didn't know aqiq was so powerful!
From Islamic knowlege we know this about Aqeeq…
The benefit of Aqeeq is that it creates joy in the heart, is good for eyesight and it helps illuminate sadness and anger. It is also revered in other religious and has been in use from the time of Hazrat Adam ( a.s.). It absorbs the rays of the sun and passes these onto the body and is good for health. Black Aqeeq protects children from envious eyes. Hazrat Imam Jaffer as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that a namaz with Aqeeq is 40 times better than one without it. It is also great thawaab to use tasbeeh of aqeeq as said by Hazrat Imam Musa e Kazim ( a.s.)
Modern knowledge adds to that some more practical benefits of aqeeq in everyday life…
Among the New Age community, believers revere Carnelian’s mental grounding power and believe this is the source of its greatest mental effects. They say it teaches one to focus on the present for the moments in life when all one’s mental powers are necessary for success at a single, important task and is a source of confidence, eloquence and inspiration. For instances when you need a boost to creativity for problem-solving, Carnelian can assist in getting the mind out of mental ruts and back on track for success. In the long-term, it bolsters ambition and drive and reminds the wearer of the future’s goals, hence becoming a powerful tool in major decision-making. Overall, many hold Carnelian dear as a stone with the ability to protect the individual, bolster confidence and generally enhance and expand the experiences of life.
Medical benefits
Agate deeply nourishes your physical body with earthtone color rays while fostering cooperation among all of your body’s parts. By opening lines of communication within your body, Agate’s earthtones help coordinate your body’s myriad functions. Agate also alerts your body’s innate intelligence to your current state of health so that your body can rally its own resources to resolve any disharmonies. By flooding you with life-giving earthtones, Agate helps you forge a stronger connection with the Earth and feel more grounded and comfortable living in the physical world.
More about its effects
Carnelian stimulates, sharpens, and enhances mental functions. It improves mental clarity, memory, and the ability to see things from a higher viewpoint. When you first wear Carnelian, it stirs up the clouds that inhibit mental clarity. Consequently, you may notice that your clarity seems to decrease, and your sinuses and lymph glands may become somewhat clogged. This effect won’t last long. Carnelian teaches the body to metabolize these clouds. As more and more clouds are metabolized and eliminated, your clarity will increase and surpass what you experienced before putting on the Carnelian. You will also gain the strength to help you accept the many changes this increased mental clarity will initiate in your life.

The focus of the book is on activities and stories for children that encourage them to consider philosophical concepts. Parents can work with their kids on these activities without the kids actually ever having to worry about the heavy-duty concepts underpinning the fun stuff.

I'm 99% sure this is all fake, anti -Shia propaganda. So wouldn't worry about it
She says she takes 300 BP for dowry, first of all that is laughable. That's about $200 USD per month
(sorry about $125 since she is supposedly waiting 3 months, longer than the iddah for mutah, so pious, MashahAllah)
for the 'arrangement'. For a prostitute, they would laugh at that, because most make more than that in one night.
They would not take that money and then wait. Even if they did, what guy in his right mind would 'take her word for it'
Second, iddah for mutah is two months (two monthly cycles), not three.
You would think someone who does this sort of arrangement for a living (haha) would know that. Loooool
Another amoung many instances of fabrications by anti-shia propagandists.

my information is from google lol but i have heard that Feyrouz is mustahab to wear during prayer and will bring you wealth
i just found this too, not sure if it is true though
It is sunnat to have a silver ring. Wearing an iron, steel or brass ring is makrooh for both men & women. Therefore, according to Imam Ja'far Sadiq (as), the Prophet(pbuh) wore a silver ring. According to another tradition, the Prophet(pbuh) asked men not to wear an iron ring while praying & strictly prohibited the wearing of brass ring.
`Abul Mu'min al-Ansaaree reports that: " I heard Abu `Abdillah (Imam Ja`far as-Sadiq (as)) saying:
'The hands that wears Firoza will not see poverty.' "
Reference: Shaykh al-Tabrasee, Makarimul Akhlaaq, Teheran, 1972, pp. 87-89.
Imam Muhammad Taqi (as) stated that aqiq takes away the poverty & dissolves
differences in one's heart.
Imam Ja'far Sadiq (as) stated that aqiq brings safety while traveling.
According Imam Muhammad Taqi(as), wearing the ring of yakoot (ruby), stops worries.
ccording Imam Ali Reza(as), yakoot eases difficulties
Imam Ali Reza (as) stated that the ring of zaberjad (jade) eases difficulties. He also stated that the emerald ring turns poor into rich, and that whosoever wears a ring set with a yellow ruby will never become poor.
Imam Ja'far Sadiq (as) stated that those who wear a firoza (turquoise) ring, will never
become dependent.
Imam Reza (as) stated that the Imam Ali(as) once noticed the Prophet (pbuh) came out of
his house with a ring of jaze yamani, while on their way to attend the Jamaat
prayers. After the prayers, the Prophet(pbuh) gave the ring to Imam Ali(as), and asked
him to have it on his right hand while he prayed, as a prayer with jaze yamani
is equal to 70 prayers without it. The stone is always praying & reciting
'La Illaha Illalah' & 'Subhanallah', and its rewards reaches the one who
wears it.
Someone had married but no children were conceived. The person went to Imam Muhammad Taqi (as) to obtain his advice. The Imam(as) told him to wear a ring with firoza set in it with the following inscription:
'O My Lord! Leave me not alone (without an issue) though Thou are the best of
heirs.' (21:89)
Before the year ended, they were blessed with a son from the same wife.
The Prophet (pbuh) stated that Allah finds it difficult not to listen to the prayers of those who have aqiq & firoza rings on their fingers, and feels hurt to negate their prayers.
Imam Ja'far Sadiq (as) stated on durre Najaf, that all the Momineen & Mominaat feel happy when they sight this stone, and the pain of their eyes is relived.
Imam Ali(as) stated that he wants every momin to have 5 rings:
1.Yakoot is the best.
2.Aqiq as it is a stone which has affection for Allah & the Ahle Bayt(as).
3.Firoza gives strength to the eyes, expands the breast & strengthens the heart. Whenever a momin goes for some work with firoza ring on his finger, his work is done.
4.Hadeed Cheeni should also be worn but not always. Only when one is afraid of some mischief then he should visit that environment with this ring, as it keeps the devil away.
5.Durre Najaf, which is found only in Najaf. When a person wears a ring of durre Najaf, at his every glance towards it, Allah gives him the reward of Ziyarat, Hajj & Umrah, which are kept in his record of action. The reward is equal to the rewards of the Prophets & the pious.

My little sister made something delicious- in Germany, we call them "Nussecken", translated into English it would be probably: nut slices or nut triangles. Though, we didn't have any hazel-nuts, so she used almonds - it tasted better than the ones you can buy from the backery :D

labaikYaZahra reacted to Khalilallah in If Parents Forbid Something That Is Halal?
We are to listen to parents at all times and we should not do something in secret which would displease them if they knew.
So all together the act which your parent disagrees with is bad, whether they know you are doing it or not, also it is not a matter of parents knowing, its a matter of us listening to our parents because of the respect we should have for them for raising us and sacrificing their life for us.
So even if your parents don't know, God knows, and would God be pleased with you acting in secret against the will of your parents?
If you were to please your parents but in secret do things against their will then isn't this what a Munafiq does? (I am not calling you a Munafiq, just saying that backstabbing is what makes a Munafiq).

Salam Aleikum
I dont care about that whether my husband has medical issue or ability.
Really on this earth nobody is perfect. I admire strong woman and man who
marry someone with medical issue or disability but because of special character.
In this life we all have to go through all lessons and obstacles. Everything in this life
is like light or heavy examination which we have to try to pass.
Allah swt. test how much we give effort with our good action.
I am disabled too and my husband know my disability but he dont care about my disability
and loves me so as I am. It is very important for him that he can share with me the same faith
to Allah swt.! That is why he wanted to marry me. My husband and I understand each other very good.
He never let me feel I am disabled. I am precious for him. He loves to be my husband forever.
He is proud to have me as his muslima wife.
Really no matter before or after. It is always in this marriage that his partner get disablity or heavy serious
sickness. Or of heavy disabled kid and so further! Or the husband got serious accident where his face is defaced forever.
Alot of partner went away therefore and cant manage such obstacles. That is never love! That is why asking isnt before marriage!
Marriage is the serious meaning for good and bad time so and sickness! Marriage isnt like only sunrise! Alot of obstacles will
come through all marriage between man and woman! Before man and woman want to get wed they shall consider thorough
whether they will manage big serious obstacles or not!
That is the same issue before and after marriage! Honesty and trust so as the love together are the most important condition
for marriage between man and woman!
Just in paradise we all will be perfect without errors and issues! Allah swt. will reward us if we give much effort to do the best
for our lives in this earth!
Subhana-illah!

Salam,
My younger brother had a unknown disability, he couldn't do anything, only move a little, so he needed 24/7 care,
Even though he couldn't talk in words, he still brought me closer to Allah SWT, SubhanAllah he understood everything and would respond in his own way,
In a few months it will be 2 years since my best friend died, and SubhanAllah I still reflect on this prison life every day when I think of him,
(The Fatiha please if ur reading this)
My point is that if someone brings u closer to Allah SWT, then nothing else matters,
The looks, money, health can be taken away from us at any time as a test from Allah SWT, but having Allah SWT in our lives is something priceless,

As long as the man is respectful man I wouldnt Mind his medical conditions simply because its not his choice so I cant blame him or judge him for the condition givin from Allah. I Would be happy to support him and be his roc and I wouldnt treat him differently then any other human Being. Everybody comes with a package, so a medical condition is not the worse package a man can have in My opinion. A healthy man who is disrespectful and lacks a good character is the worse kind. Of course One has to be ready that it can be challenging and you need to be a really strong woman to stand behind the man and not let it get the best out of you. I have family members that I cherish who suffered Severe illness like multi strokes so I understand how difficult and frustrating it can be but at the same time we gained so much out of it, not did it only bring us closer to each other since I always have to take care of the person so we did everything together but Also it made us better human beings, more appraciative and Also it put life in perspective. We Know what really matters and what really is important in life. So it is about perspective, if you see the medical condition as an obstacle that is what it Will be.

labaikYaZahra reacted to dragonfly in Modesty Is Not A Virtue (Anymore)
I don't understand the trend in itself anyway. When I see a woman wearing leggings as pants it has never registered in my mind as 'attractive.' I've always just though it weird that there is not a dress or something over the leggings for fashion's sake because leggings weren't created to be worn alone. It looks so incomplete to me. I guess that goes to show how men's and women's tastes are so different. Or maybe men don't find it 'attractive' either, just lust-enducing.
The incident that first got me to realize that modesty as a value is not as commonplace as I thought was when I was with a group of Non Muslim girls and they asked me why I wear hijab. I said for modesty and then they were like 'Hmmm modesty... I never thought about that before..." and I'm thinking "Hmmm, I've never NOT thought of that before..." I guess I took being raised in that mindset for granted.

labaikYaZahra reacted to notme in Another Possible Potential.
Sister, don't come across as desperate.
I started looking for someone after I got divorced from my second husband, at the age of 40. I looked online because I've got kids and don't have time to waste meeting people in person. I met my now-husband through a secular online site, but narrowed my search to only Muslims and only within a certain distance from where I lived. I on-site communicated with a few people on that site, but never gave out my phone number or email address or met in person with anyone who I had any doubts about whatsoever. I'm not stunningly beautiful, average at best, I've got no money, three kids, two are teenagers and one of those teenagers has a developmental delay, and I'm way too independent (out of necessity) to be attractive to all but the most confident of men, and I found someone who is darn near perfect. If I can find someone, surely you can too. Just be patient and keep up your prayers, keep looking, and everything will fall into place.
Being married to the wrong person is far worse than being alone. Trust me - I've been both.

labaikYaZahra reacted to Sheikh Voldemort in A Story Of A Couple
"Aunt Zainab and Hajj Hassan were life parents for the last seventy years. I can recollect the final 25 years of their lives nearly, in which they had all the reverence and respect for each other and I do not know any event that could indicate any mutual disrespect and disinclination in their lives. I asked their relatives about the rest of their life together and came to know that they were always like this. Aunt Zainab was both a wife an a nurse for Hajj Hassan who was older than her and who become ill in his last years. She held the old man in such respect, reverence, and kindness that it amazed and made th one who saw it praise her. In this part of their old age, sexual phenomenon did not mean anything to them, since they had surpassed it. But the love, honour and grand respect was overwhelming their relations even still. Whenever Hajj Hassan fell ill, the aunt would nurse and look after him with extreme kindness and respect.
Whenever I visited them, Hajj Hassan said: "This lady has looked after me so very well. If it was not for her, I would not have been able to pass my old age honorably. It is because of her kindness and nursing that I can go to the mosque and attend to my services and prayers and lead a honourable life. Her existence is a great boon and beneficence, which Allah has bestowed upon me. I always pray for her." I enjoyed seeing their sincere relations and felt sorry about many husbands and wives who have cold relations and have scornful and menacing conduct towards each other. I used to wish all spouses had been like aunt Zainab and Hajj Hassan. Hajj Hassan had grown very old and was nearly ninety years of age and could no longer stand or walk to perform his work. But Allah saved and spared his kind spouse for him. She used to look after and nurse her old husband with respect, love and self-sacrifice, never allowing him to face humiliation and misery.
The last time I visited Hajj Hassan to enquire after his health, he said: "Had Allah not given this spouse tome, I could no longer continue my life". The last days of Hajj Hassan's life approached and he was about to leave Zainab alone after a lovely joint life of seventy years. Aunt Zainab was nursing him with all her might, looking after him from all aspects, revolving around him like a butterfly around a candle. She served him to all possible extents. Hajj Hassan occasionally opened his eyes and looked at her. His looks reflected the sign of respect, reverence, thankfulness and gratitude for her. As if he was saying: "Oh y pure angel, you were my spouse and faithful friend. You spent your youth and life beside me. You put up with my deficiencies and lacking in our lives and did not complain to anyone. You secured my honour. You were the partner of my sorrows and joys and my companion amid the of odds of life. Now when, I am leaving this world, I am pleased with you. And I bear witness to Allah that you were a good wife. I am pleased with you. And I hope Allah may also be pleased with you. And I hope Allah may also be please with you, and grant you reward."
His lips sometimes moved and he prayed for her. Aunt Zainab's condition was nearly similar to her husband and she also uttered the same prayers for her old husband through her conduct, speech, condition, and looks. At last the delegate of Allah came to take his soul. as if the death delegate of Allah too thanked and praised her, since only a few hours before te angel's arrival she had bathed and cleaned him up and changed his clothes; as if she wanted to send a bridegroom toward his wedding chamber. Following the passing away of Hajj Hassan, I went to see the aunt. Her eyes were shedding tears. Her heart was grieved and heavy, but she had a feeling of pride and exaltation, since she felt she had performed the divine duties in connection with her husband."

labaikYaZahra reacted to Abu Hadi in David Cameron Letter To Muslim Leaders
Although I am not British, this letter really disturbed me. Here is the report from the BBC
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-30877447
My Question to Cameron would be, "When the IRA was attacking the UK on a sometimes weekly basis in the 80s and early 90s, how come you, or anyone in the British Parliment, didn't send a letter to Irish leaders or Catholic leaders asking them to 'explain themselves' and to tell people how the 'Irish' or 'Catholics' could be part of British society.
To send this letter to Muslim leaders after an attack that took place outside the UK, it seems to me and also many others that you are suggesting that muslims, 'are not' a part of British society and they must explain how they are.
In other words, they are not part of British society until a sufficient explaination (sufficient by your standards ?) can be given.
It should be enough for you that almost every single muslim leader within the UK and also outside of it (with the exception of the Salafi leadership and you big ally Saudi Arabia) has denounced these attacks.

labaikYaZahra reacted to Abu Hadi in Why I Love Prophet Muhammad(P.b.u.h)
Salam. I wish all muslims here would post on this thread and give a brief reason why you love Prophet Muhammad(p.b.u.h).
I will start.
Before he became a prophet, Prophet Muhammad(p.b.u.h) was from a prominent Meccan family and was trusted and respected, his wife was a wealthy business women, and he was very skilled in business. He could have had a very nice life, in a material sense, without a care in the world. Instead, he suffered tragedy after tragedy, from the being mocked and ridiculed, attempted assassination, being stoned by children at Taif, fighting battle after battle and losing many of his loved ones, and he did this for no material gain, only seeking nearness to Allah(s.w.a) so that us, today, have a chance today to receive guidance and not end up in hellfire. Only those who know him can love him, and only those who don't know him could not love him.
He was and is, the gift that keeps on giving, up till today. May Allah(s.w.a) bless him with the greatest and most profound blessings that never decrease and never end.
