This is just another way to for the TV industry to make a bunch of money, it's one of them shows about people in real life where the cameras follow them but at the same time it's like a drama.
Stuff like belly dancing is not in Islam its from culture.
This show is All Americans with their Middle Eastern Culture not All American Muslims. Sure they may be Muslims I am not saying they aren't but the show is more representing them being Cultural and American not Islamic and American in my opinion

As one of our imams (as) (I think imam sajjad (as)) once said; do not look at the size of the sin, look at who you are disobeying
Fact is shaking hands with a non mahram is haraam
Also there is a Hadith from the Prophet (pbuh) however I am not sure if it is from sunni sources or shia or both but it says something along the lines of; it would be better for 70(?) nails to be drilled through my head(?) rather than touching a non mahram (something like that, I probably got it a bit wrong though)
Also one of our imams (as) said (i think imam ali (as)); That sin which you percieve to be small is actually big (something like that)
This means that the sins which we believe are small (such as touching a non mahram for a few seconds) is most likely a big sin, we just perceive it to be small because we don't believe that there is any harm in doing it.
Allah (swt) has put his law into place for a reason, it's not about being 'holier than thou' infact being 'holier than thou' is a good thing, as long as u practice what you preach then what is wrong with trying to be as pious as possible, sure we arent the Aimmah (as) but doesn't mean we can't strive to be like them.
Sorry if this post came across as I was attacking any of you, I wasn't, I was just stating my views on the matter

Well the Prophet (pbuh) loved Allah (swt) the most and his family much more than he loved anyone else, and we follow the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s) .... tell me why are there so many proofs in sahih bukhari and sahih muslim that prove sunnism to be false, yet you still take it to be true?
The Prophet (pbuh) said I am leaving behind two weighty things and if you hold onto them you will not go astray; The Qur'an and my Ahlul Bayt (as). Why do you follow the Qur'an but no the Ahlul Bayt (a.s)?
The Prophet (pbuh) said whoever angers Fatima (s.a) angers me. Narrated from Aisha in Sahih Bukhari, Fatima (sa) was angry with Abu Bakr and remained that way till she died. Why do you love abu bakr more than Fatima (sa) and it's obvious you do because you make excuses for abu bakr even though you know he was in the wrong?
The Prophet (pbuh) said there will be 12 leaders after me and all of them will be from quraish. Where are your 12 leaders? Ours are the 12 imams.
The Prophet (pbuh) said one who dies not knowing his imam (leader) dies a kaafir. (sunni and shia both accept this hadith)
So in your case either Fatima (sa) died a kaafir astaghfirullah, which isnt possible because she is the leader of the women of paradise (according to sunni and shia)
Or abu bakr was a baatil leader.
The Prophet (pbuh) said Hussein (as) is from me and I am from Hussein (as), Allah (swt) loves the one who loves Hussein (as). So why is it that every 10th muharram you sit and talk about fasting on the 10th of muharram because the religion is superior to the jewish religion or w/e ... why don't you commemorate `Ashura? Just because you believe we commemorate it in a wrong way doesn't stop you from mourning in the way you think is right.
Why is it that umar said to abu hurairah stop attributing lies to the Prophet (pbuh) yet you still take all his narrations.
Why is it that Sahih Bukhari has contradictions yet you still take all the hadiths to be sahih?
Why is it that you do sujood on carpet when carpet wasn't introduced into the mosque of the Prophet (pbuh) 300 years after his death?
How can you believe the Prophet (pbuh) was gonna commit suicide 7 times astaghfirullah
Most Importantly ... HOW CAN YOU CLAIM YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH WHEN YOUR SECT IS WRONG AND YOUR OWN SOURCES (BUKHARI, MUSLIM, VARIOUS OTHERS) PROVE IT ???????

    - Go to Hajj
    - Own a Business
    - Get Married
    - Have Children
    - Pay off all debts whether they be religious (missed prayers/fasts etc.) or to people (money etc.)
Most of mine are basic things which most people will probably want to do in their lives, but I can't really think of any big out there things that would be kind of unique (or rare) to me, although there is one thing but I don't know if it will ever happen or if I will be able to do it, but insha'Allah it will work out

SD2 got a reaction from Khadim uz Zahra in Is Homeschooling Practical In This Age?
    (salam)
If you home school them then they are likely to grow up without interacting with others and it may make life difficult for them in the future, unless of course they have cousins their age whom they become good friends with and hang out with etc.
The danger of school is you don't know what your kid gets up to whilst he/she is there, they may go wearing a hijab and take it off or the boy might smoke without you knowing etc..
I personally have seen many good muslims turn to bad muslims due to socialising with the wrong kind of people, but if you treat your future kids like they are in prison then it may backfire on yourself.
I however am not that knowledgeable on this, I myself am only a teenager, better to take the advice of someone who has done both home schooling and sent their children to school to get a better idea of what is better. I personally went to school.

SD2 got a reaction from Gotham in An Interview Between Mdm And.....
Thanks bro, it is an honour to be interviewed by you, and I'm sure your wisdom beats mine any day of the week, maybe not your akhlaaq though :P MashaAllah at me
Well to be honest it started off when I realised that if you end up eating something najis then you have eaten something haraam, and because the ahadeeth say that eating something haraam means your prayers and duas wont get accepted for 40 days I started to become very conscious about what was najis and what wasn't, then my worries about najasat grew from there and I started worrying about being najis when praying, because then my prayers won't get accepted :donno:
unfortunately I haven't been ziarat before  may Allah (swt) grant us all the oppurtunity to go insha'Allah
I wouldn't really be able to tell where I would be in 10 years time, for all I know by 10 years Imam Mahdi (atfs) could have come back (insha'Allah) and I could be living under his rule (even though I will never be worthy), I could be dead (insha'Allah I wont), I could be a lunatic whos gone mad because of his najasat problems looool
but the furthest I can see myself is 5 years and in 5 years time I see myself Graduating from ICAS, and where I will go from there (i.e. become a lecturer, study further, translate books) only Allah (swt) knows, I myself don't know what I want to do in the future, I also see myself running my own business in 5 years time insha'Allah, possibly something that could earn me a decent wage, but also help out people around the world who need our help, the oppressed, the poor etc..
Well I met Yasoob id deen, hawraa29 and koko313 last wednesday, it was fun :D .. I met them at a seminar about the Qur'an and tahreef, I didn't really see them for long, only for around 20 minutes, I baked a snickers cake and took it with me .. Hawraa and Koko love it but Yasoob said it didn't taste like snickers -.-
I also met Kamran-Syed, Ali H Syed, and Al-Hadi on friday, they came down to where I live to meet my mum and dad so when it comes to muharram my parents let me go masjid with them, we went chicken cottage twice B) We also went to an event about the Qur'an and if it can contain everything in it
At the event I saw sayed ammars brother :o .. but I didnt shake his hand :(
I also saw Mystery-* (Al-Hadi's sister) for a brief few seconds  .. and Last Chance was there but I didnt see her :donno:
It was a fun day, only bad thing was it was the wafat of Imam al Jawad (a.s) so it was inappropriate to be joking about all the time and stuff, alhamdulillah I enjoyed it and I'm gonna see them in a couple weeks time again, and I'm gonna see Mushu as well insha'Allah :D
I originally found shiachat to be an alright place, kinda boring, I used to come on here for a few months to get answers to questions, then once I had a question which I couldn't find on ShiaChat so I made an account and asked the question, I still found it a bit boring until I got 50 posts and went into the chatroom, the only reason I kept coming back was because of Al-Hadi, Kamran-Syed and Enlightened_x they all made me feel welcome, then gradually I got to know more people and now I'm addicted and Love ShiaChat
Unfortunately I haven't travelled much. The best place I have been would probably be takhte jamshid (throne of jamshid) in Iran. It's a historical place in Shiraz, if my memory is correct, it's like a massive place, there are statues, pillars, carvings in the walls etc., it was fun walking around seeing the different historical things, unfortunately I didnt get to go to the furthest part which I really wanted to, if I go again then insha'Allah I will
I used to play PS3 alot, but then when I started following Islam I found it to be quite a waste of time, now I would love to start playing again but I doubt about my controller being najis, and I dont have the money to buy a new controller and games so I guess I will just wait till I get money or not play anymore. My favourite game when I did play it alot was probably Black Ops, I used to play it hours everyday, I played online alottttt with my friends and also with people I didnt know, another one of my favourite games is probably Grand Theft Auto IV .. I loved playing it going around the city, shooting people, stealing cars, running people over :shaytan: .. I sometimes played online with that game too
Now though I don't like games that I would have to play on my own, I hate doing things on my own hence why I find ShiaChat fun because it's always interacting with others, so if I did start playing PS3 again then I would only buy games which I could play online with my friends .. so yeah I guess you could say I'm an online gamer
hmm .. I would be "Red Chilli" cos I have a short temper (some people might not believe me but trust me I do :/) "Pineapple" cos I'm sweet :P .. and Thin Crust with Cheese inside because I'm not fat but I'm not skinny either
My best friend is someone from my secondary school. The reason for this is he has always been good to me, he is Shi`a aswell and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be the kind of Muslim that I am today, thanks to him I learnt many rules, thanks to him I started getting more into religion and ultimately if it wasn't for him I would probably be on the wrong path right now. He is a funny guy, loves making jokes about sunnis and umar  ... always backed me up in school if there was any trouble, helps me to remember Allah (swt) and he is the safest person I have ever met :D
hmm .. I definitely learnt the majority of my deen on the internet, I learnt by listening to lectures mainly those by sayed ammar nakshawani, talking to my best friend, reading through ayatollah sistani's website, shiachat (the forum and chatroom)
How many wahabbis does it take to change a light bulb? None it's bid'ah

How many wahabbis does it take to send an online version of the Qur'an via email? None, using the internet is bid'ah, Online Qur'an is also Bid'ah
I'd just like to say sorry if my answers went on a bit much, or if I ended up writing about stuff that weren't related to the questions.
