  1. I have seen a clip of that video, it's going around on social media. The maulana is from the mosque that I frequently go to. He is quite learned, I'm not sure where he got that information from. I had missed the event he gave that lecture in.
  2. We refill our 5 gallon bottles from a filtered water vending machine. The tap water tastes bit weird.
  3. Salam Is it permissible to read namaz with your shoes on? Assuming that they are clean of dirt and any najasat. I have seen many sunni people read namaz with their shoes on at my work. It's a clean, carpeted room with enough room to take off the shoes and leave them to the side next you with no problem and there are prayer mats available in the room. They use the prayer mats but stand just below it with the shoes on and read the namaz. My first thought is that it is not permissible but if you can read namaz while wearing your socks or gloves or a hat then why not shoes? They are also just another layer of protection for your feet.
  4. We sometimes have sunni guys come to our mosque to pray Maghreb during Ramadan. They leave after praying Maghreb while we proceed with Isha after that. No issues or problems with it.
  5. Salam I agree with this. Also the marriages had reasoning and wisdom behind them as well. Muslims are allowed to marry 4 wives, they are not commanded to marry 4 wives so I don't think that should be a part of the definition of Islam. The law of the land determines this like in the US you can only marry one person at a time even if you are muslim. I am not aware if Christianity commands you to only marry one woman. If a Christian goes to a country where polygamy is allowed, he may be able to marry more than one woman. Also, you can explain the actual rules and conditions of having more than one wife in Islam. It is not that easy to maintain from what I understand.
  6. Salam I think the visiting that brothel may be considered masturbation. I'm not sure how you would consider a robotic doctor to be male. If there is a male human controlling it then it would be the same as visiting a male human doctor. If it is completely AI then I don't think there would be an issue with either gender.
  7. Salam That cost difference is quite big. Generally the benefit you have with physically going to college would be networking opportunists and interactions with the professor and the students. You will be able to build professional, long lasting friendships that may help you to get more job opportunities in the future within your field of study. I think employers give preference to work experience first but if you don't have that then they may look at where you went to school.
  8. Salam Ammar Nakshawani has a lecture in detail about this. I have added it below.
