  1. (bismillah) It is too bad that even the lovers of Ahlalbait do not know the full sermon and are content with what the greater part of the Ummah portrays as the Ghadir sermon. Do you really think that the Prophet (PBUH) would leave us in doubt like that? The full sermon can be found here: http://duas.org/NEW/ghadirkhutba.htm O Messenger! Convey what has (just) been revealed to you (with regard to 'Ali), and if you do not do so, you will not have conveyed His Message at all, and Allah shall Protect you from (evil) people; surely Allah will not guide the unbelieving people. (Qur'an, 5:67) (...) O people! I have not committed any shortcoming in conveying what Allah Almighty revealed to me, and I am now going to explain to you the reason behind the revelation of this verse: Three times did Gabriel command me on behalf of the Peace, my Lord, Who is the source of all peace, to thus make a stand in order to inform everyone, black and white, that: ' Ali ibn Abu Talib is my Brother, Wasi, and successor over my nation and the Imam after me, the one whose status to me is like that of Aaron to Moses except there will be no prophet after me, and he is your master next only to Allah and to His Messenger, and Allah has already revealed to me the same in one of the fixed verses1 of His Book saying, "Your Master is Allah and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay zakat even as they bow down" (Qur'an, 5:55), and, Ali ibn Abu Talib the one who keeps up prayers, who pays zakat even as he bows down, seeking to please Allah, the Sublime, the Almighty, on each and every occasion. (...)
  2. Based on the fact that Imam Ali (as) was the walking Qur'an and knew the Book of Allah and its secrets, it is doubtful to accept a hadith that debases the position of the first Imam (as). Moreover, the Ahlalbait told us to hold each hadith in the light of the Qur'an and if it's in accordance with it then we can accept it.
  3. Zaynab, Rukayya and Umm Kulthum Before Khadija married Muhammed Mustafa, there were three girls living in her house in Makka. Their names were Zaynab, Rukayya and Umm Kulthum. They were the daughters of her deceased sister. Their father had died earlier, and when their mother also died, Khadija brought them into her own house. After Khadija's marriage, all three girls stayed with her as her wards. They probably called Khadija their mother and they probably called Muhammed Mustafa their father. And according to Arab usage, they were known as his daughters because they lived in his house, and he was their legal guardian. Zaynab was the eldest of these three girls. She was married to a man called Abul-As ibn er-Rabi'. In 624 he came with the pagan army of Makka, and fought against Muhammed Mustafa in the battle of Badr. He was captured but he ransomed his freedom, and returned to Makka. Later, he accepted Islam (...) Source: Khadija tul Kubra - A Short Story of Her Life by Syed A.A Razwy - XKP
Ayatollah Bahjat when he was asked whether we could pray for the unbelievers and if this would be okay, he (may he rest in peace) replied: Prayer (Du'a = دعا) for the unbelievers will save them from remaining in the eternal fire of Hell forever. http://jamnews.ir/detail/news/227780
  5. (wasalam) Part of the discussion in Peshawar Nights: Well-Wisher (Shi'i Alim): You have not yet asked on what grounds I have made this statement, and therefore yousay it is without reason. The best proof for my statement is the Holy Qur'an, which, narrating the life ofthe Prophet Abraham, says that, after giving him three tests (of life, wealth, and sons), Allah intended tomake his rank more exalted. Since prophethood and the title of Khalil (Friend) did not apparentlywarrant a higher rank, the office of Imamate was the only office of a higher order to which even aProphet of Allah could be entrusted. The Holy Qur'an says: "And when his Lord tried Abraham withcertain words, he fulfilled them. He said: 'Surely I will make you an Imam of men.' Abraham said: 'Andof my offspring?' 'My covenant does not include the unjust,' He said." (2:124) This verse, whichindicates the position of the Imamate, also proves that the rank of the Imamate is superior to that ofprophethood, since the position of the Prophet Abraham was raised from prophethood to the Imamate. Hafiz: This means, according to your reasoning, that Ali's position was superior to that of the lastProphet. This is what the Ghalis believed, as you have yourself admitted. Well-Wisher: I do not mean what you have concluded. As you know, there is a great differencebetween general prophethood and special prophethood. The rank of the Imamate is higher than the rankof general prophethood, but lower than special prophethood. The last Prophet is the highest stage ofspecial prophethood. http://fatimiyya.net/v313/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Peshawar-Nights.pdf http://www.al-islam.org/peshawar-nights-sultan-al-waadhim-sayyid-muhammad-al-musawi-ash-shirazi

  9. Ask your marja. But if you need advice: if you can find a good Shi'a, then marry the Shi'a..we've already proven that we cannot live as one Muslim Ummah, so don't try to glue something that cannot be fixed anymore..for now.
  10. Thanks Realizm And Ali_Hussain, what she is showing is half of what you can do in Tehran. She's just showing some places where you can eat :S Where's the fun in that haha

  12. Just one comment. I think you will be finding more real Muslims in the West than you think and less real Muslims in Iran than you'd expect
  13. Just ignore their jokes. And I know it's tough when it comes from family, it happens to me as well. Also don't nod yes, but try to change the subject, or be the bigger adult and ask him why he doesn't respect your family's choice when he would kiss his neighbor's hands as a matter of example. Or why he thinks your choices are a joke and that you think it is immature. Kust be the bigger adult and he will feel ashamed
  14. if your husband is hitting you without ANY reason, even though every reason would be wrong of hitting, then you should divorce him if you can live independently
