    Agha Shahi remarks:
“Ayatollah Behjat is constantly stressing the importance of controlling one’s tongue and maintaining silence. He would say, “We must control our speech. We should spend 23 hours of the day in contemplation and thought, and only one hour in speech; in fact, often even that is too much."

AlAbd AlThaleel got a reaction from Pius_Raj in What Does "wilayat Of Imam Ali (as)” Mean?
    (bismillah)
    (salam)
    Taken from Greater Sins:
There is not an iota of doubt that the one who possesses the Wilayat of Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.) would be deserving of salvation. In fact, he shall be with the Prophets (S) and the Pure Imams (a.s.). Imam Rida (a.s.) said:
“Allah shall collect our Shias on the Day of Judgement in such a condition that their faces shall be aglow with (radiance). His arguments would be lighted (manifest) and his proof shall be obvious before Allah. It is upon Allah to collect our Shias with the Prophets, the martyrs and the truthful ones on the Day of Judgement. These personalities are the best of the loyalists.”
    (Bihar al-Anwar)
    The Meaning of Wilayat
It is written in the book Majmaul Bahraen regarding the meaning of the word ‘Wilayat’: “Wilayat is the love for Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.), the natural consequence of which is to follow them in religious matters, to fulfil the obligations laid down on us and to abstain from the things prohibited. Wilayat is to walk in the footsteps of the Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.) following their ways in deeds, behaviour and manner of speech.”
Wilayat therefore means love and obedience. This idea is supported by a tradition from Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.) wherein the Holy Imam (a.s.) has related love with obedience.
Wilayat of ‘Ali (a.s.) is a Strong Fort of Allah (S.w.T.)
The tradition explaining this concept is to be found in the tradition of Silsilatuz Zahab. It is related by Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) from Imam Riďa (a.s.). It is as follows:
“Allah says, “The Wilayat of ‘Ali Ibn Abi Talib is My fort. Then one who enters My Fort is safe from My wrath (Ghazab).”
    (Uyun al-Akhbar ar-Rida).
There is no doubt that entering the Wilayat of the purified Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.) implies taking refuge with the Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.), to abstain from all unlawful acts and to remain aloof from their enemies. The word “Tahassum” denotes ‘taking refuge in an established fort’ and it also suggests that the refuge is not only physical in nature but of a moral form (in spirit) as well. It is therefore imperative to take refuge with these exalted personalities and to follow their superior examples in all aspects of speech and behaviour. In short one who follows them has actually taken refuge in their fort.
Verbal Claim Unaccompanied by Actions is Insufficient
    After describing the qualities of the Shias, Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) observed;
“O Jabir, is it enough for one, to say that ‘I love ‘Ali (a.s.) and I have achieved his Wilayat,’ whereas he does not act upon it?”
“If someone says, “Surely, I love the Holy Prophet (S) because he was superior to ‘Ali (a.s.) and I am Shia al-Muhammad.” Inspite of this claim he does not follow the Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.) whom the Holy Prophet (S) had ordered to follow. It is surprising that even after claiming to love the Prophet they do not follow his Purified Progeny (Ahl ul-Bayt a.s.). Mere claim of love is not sufficient.”

It is a name often mentioned in duas by the Ahlul Bayt (as) used to describe one's self. It basically means the worthless slave.
    For example:
O Master, so what about me?! For I am Your weak, lowly, ... slave.

    A good read:
    Question:
There is a story that says that Imam Ali (a.s) put two men on fire because they said he was God. Is this true?
    Answer:
The story of the burning of some criminals by Imam Ali (a.s.) is one of the Sunni fabrications against Imam Ali (a.s.). It is mentioned in Sahih Bukhari. Also Ibn Abil-Hadid (another Sunni historian) has mentioned the story. In our jurisprudence there is no punishment that involves the live burning of a criminal. This is rather a Jewish punishment as mentioned in the Old Testament, thus, narrations that relate it to Imam Ali (a.s.) are Israelites and fabricated.

How can we know that the following ahadith are fabricated? I have a discussion with a Sunni. And we both want to “find the truth”. How can I know for sure, that this hadith is ridiculous. And how can I convince, that this hadith is a hadith we should not trust in? By the way, do you know books about this?
    - Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 52 :: Hadith 260
    Narrated Ikrima:
Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn ‘Abbas, who said, “Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet said, ‘Don’t punish (anybody) with Allah’s Punishment.’ No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, ‘If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.’ ”
    - Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 84 :: Hadith 57
    Narrated ‘Ikrima:
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to ‘Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, ‘Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.’” [07/22/2012 11:56:35 È.Ù] adraa.diya.ayoub

It has been mentioned in the book, Balad al-Amin and the Misbah of Kafa`mi that Imam `Ali ibn al-Husain Sayyid as-Sajjidin (prayers be upon him) related from his father from his grandfather the Prophet of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) that this supplication was taught by the Angel Jibra'il (prayers be upon him) to the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) during one of the battles. It was in one of the wars that the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) had taken part in which he had a very heavy and expensive coat of armor on to protect himself. It is related that the coat was so heavy that it was hurting the body of the Prophet (prayers of Allah be upon him and his family). In this state, the Angel Jibra'il (prayers be upon him) came to the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) and said: "O' Muhammad! Your Lord conveys his salutations to you and has said to take this coat of armor (Jawshan) and to recite it as this is a protection for you and your Ummah."

    17 And He fulfils my need!
24 All praise be to Allah alone Who has sought my friendship while He can dispense with me.
    60 I call upon You, O my Chief, with a tongue silenced by its sins!
    61 My Lord! I confide in You with a heart debased by its offenses!
    62 I pray to You, O my Lord, with fear and desire, hopeful and fearful!
    63 Whenever I think of my sins, O my Master, I am fearful,
    64 But when I think of Your generosity, I am desirous (of Your pardon).
65 Therefore, if You forgive, then You are the best of those who show mercy,
66 And if You punish, then You have not been unjust.
    87 In fact, had anyone other than You known of my sin, I would not have committed it,
    88 And had I feared the hastening of the punishment, I would have avoided it,
89 Not because You are the least important of those who see me,
90 Or the most insignificant of those who know me,
91 Rather, it is because You, O my Lord, are the best of those who cover up (one’s sins),
92 And the wisest of those who judge,
93 And the most generous of the generous,
    94 The concealer of defects,
    95 The Forgiver of sins,
    96 The Knower of the unseen!
    97 You conceal sins through Your Liberality,
    98 And defer punishment through Your Forbearance!

AlAbd AlThaleel got a reaction from Hassan15Jum'ah in Verses Of The Quran Related To Imam Mahdi (ajtf)
    (bismillah)
[17:80] And say, "My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority."
[17:81] And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart."
Brothers and sisters, I have even heard of stories of people who read this ayat 100 times each night for 40 nights, and were blessed with seeing our Holy Imam (AJTFS).
May we all be blessed by Allah (SWT) to be our Imam's warriors and companions.
