Yes, I have heard that some of the Prophets (as) when sent, helped humans to progress. Nabi Nuh (as) was the first to build a ship, Nabi Dawud (as) the first to melt Iron, Nabi Idrees (as) the first to write (and read aswell I think), there are more examples. I have heard that before Imam (atfs) reappears, humanity will have reached progressed and reached its maximum potential of 8 out of 27 or 28, so around 8%-ish. When Imam al-Mahdi (atfs) reappears he will complete the progression of humanity and make it 100% by the permission and grace of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
He will establish contact with other planets, bringing back people from the dead (with the permission of Allah (swt)) will be something normal etc. so yes technology and science and overall progression of humanity will be way higher than the maximum it is before his return.

The reason I like this part isn't really to do with what is being said, it's more the sound of it which I love

You can contribute bro!!! Listen to it in Arabic and read it in English, or read the transliteration and read the English too so you understand what is being said - This is easier with slower reciters I guess. Or just recite it in English if that is how you prefer :D

on top of that I have heard that dhul qarnayn (ra) made a massive wall trapping the tribes of gog and magog and that every night the tribes start making a hole in the wall and they make a tiny hole then it becomes night time and they go 2 sleep and the next day when they return the hole has been rebuilt again and they do this every single day until Allah (swt) allows it to occur to their minds to say inshaAllah 2moro we will break out and upon waking up they will see the small hole has not been filled again and they will break out and at this time the people with imam mahdi (atfs) and prophet isa (as) will be going towards the mountain (i cant remember which mountain i think sinai) to get away from the tribes. Then the tribes will run loose and kill people and will say we have conquered the land not to conquer the heavens and they will shoot arrows into the sky which will come down with blood on them and then the people with imam mahdi (atfs) will all make dua that the tribes get killed so Allah (swt) will send maggots to eat their flesh and huge birds with camel like necks to take their bodies.
However the place I heard this was not really reliable and also it was a sunni source so I doubt its true but yh thats what Ive heard about them.

Although I am a brother, I was given this advice by a sister in regards to someone I know wanting to get married, the advice was for the brother to get more involved in the Community, in the Ahlul Bayt Societies (if you can) - I think the reason was because you will then be more known in the community, and therefore it would be more likely, also you would know more sisters and it would make it easier in that way too.
Another thing you could do is perhaps ask any friends that you have who have sister(s) or who are married, because they could ask around and see if they know anyone who is looking to get married.

    (salam)
How much do we actually know about our 10th Imam [as]?
I don't know about anyone else, but personally I do not know much about him. Hardly about him.
The reason why I made this thread is, I want us to find facts about Imam al-Hadi [as] and post them here so that we may get to know him better and become closer to him. Maybe other people could make threads for the other Imams [as] too, or every few days I will make a new thread for a different Imam [as] so we go through a gradual learning process.
Please avoid large copy and pastes, I believe we will learn more if people post small things and we read each post one by one.
I will start off with his epithets.

    His Epithets

His epithets expressed the high qualities he possessed. His epithets are as follows:
An-Nasih (loyal); he was called so because he was the sincerest advisor to the nation.
Al-Mutawakkil (reliant on Allah); he disliked this epithet and ordered his companions not to call him with it. I think he hated this epithet because it was the epithet of the Abbasid caliph Ja’far al-Mutawakkil who held a bitter grudge and enmity, and was spiteful, towards the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.).
At-Taqiy (pious, devout); he was called so because he feared Allah and turned to Him. Al-Mutawakkil, the tyrant Abbasid caliph, tried his best to attract Imam al-Hadi (a.s.) to the fields of amusement and debauchery but he failed.
Al-Murtadha (being pleased with Allah); it was his most famous epithet.
Al-Faqeeh (jurisprudent); he was the most informed person of his age in jurisprudence, and was the authority that jurisprudents and scholars turned to.
Al-Aalim (knowledgeable); he was the most knowledgeable one among the people of his time, not only in the Islamic laws, but all branches of knowledge and sciences.
Al-Ameen (trustee on religion and life)
    At-Tayyib (generous, kind-hearted, good-natured…)
Al-Askari (military); he was called so because he resided in Surra Men Ra’a (Samarra’) which was called al-Askar.
Al-Muwadhih (explainer of the verdicts of the Holy Book and the Sunnah)
Ar-Rasheed (wise, prudent); he was called so because he was the wisest and most prudent of his time.
Ash-Shaheed (the martyr) because he was martyred at the hands of the enemies of Allah.
Al-Wafiy (loyal); he was the most loyal of his people, and loyalty was a key element of his personality.
Al-Khalis (pure from every defect and bad)

Well for the time being prayer times are near the end of the morning, for example today prayer started at 6:22 am and ended at 8:05am, if your prayer doesnt take that long (although its recommended to pray closer to the time it starts) then you can get up at around 7:45ish to pray, I am sure you must get up this early to go to college/secondary school anyway?
As bro Endless stated, Allah (swt) has given us many blessings, [There is a narration that states that if all the creatures that Allah (swt) created were to come together and count the blessings that has been bestowed upon them by Allah (swt) up until the day of judgement they still would not be able to count the amount of blessings] Also prayer itself is a blessing, the amount of reward you get from praying fajr (morning prayer) is extremely high, even though you may not see the reward you are getting, be sure that Allah (swt) will reward you.
I also live in London, and it is hard to look away from people in the street, especially in summer time where just by walking and looking infront of you, you see tons of people dressed immodestly with body parts exposed, however there is wisdom behind things being haraam and halaal, whether we are used to it or not Allah (swt) has made it haraam because he knows that it will have effects on us, and for this reason you should abstain from it even though you may think that it does not effect you. In fact there is a narration that says on the day of judgement 3 types of people will have the worst ordeal
    1) Those who drank Alcohol
    2) Those who were bad to their parents (I think)
    3) Those who kept glancing at na-mahrams
It's good that you have given up this act, it was most likely with the help of Allah (swt) that you were able to overcome it, as you said that you didn't think you could but somehow you did. As to your question about the reproductive system, I have no idea bro sorry :donno:
Hajj is compulsory, however there are certain conditions before it becomes compulsory, for example you must have the money to go for it, and that is after paying your expenses such as food, bills etc. I have never been however Endless said that Umra (which is kinda like a mini hajj) felt very good spiritually, I bet Hajj will feel even better :)
I would recommend you read through these

It will help you with the rules of things such as prayer, wudhu, fasting, etc. You will most likely come across certain stuff which you did not know were even part of the religion, which is what happened to me, and slowly you will learn and start to implement all of the teachings in your life

This advice may be wrong, i'm not a scholar, nor have i studied islam, but i too have had ocd, i too have had random thoughts popping up, i too have doubted the existence of Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì.

Make firm your faith in what you believe in through gaining knowledge on the topics, and proving through rational, that which can be proven through rational (Some things can be proven rationally such as the existence of God, some things cant be proven rationally such as why fajr is 2 rakats, but once you rationally come to the conclusion that Islam is right, then you would naturally accept fajr being 2 rakats, because you reached the naql (text/tradition) through the aql (intellect), and the naql tells you its 2 rakats for fajr salah)
e.g. If you doubt the existence of God, go to the scholars who can teach you the proofs for the existence of God, such as Burhan an-Nidham amongst many other proofs.
I think it would be good to start with the principles and go through them in order i.e. Tawheed, Adala, Nubuwwa, Imamah, Ma'ad. Also avoid sinning, this is something which i believe can take someone down the road of doubts. I'm not saying anyone who has substantial doubts definitely falls into sin, but perhaps it is a possibility that its because of their sins.

As for the images popping up into your head, ignore, ignore ignore.
Also seek help from Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì.

Once again, im not a scholar, im a young person who has gone through those stages before, and this was my own way of overcoming these issues, and i believe alhamdulillah my faith became stronger after those doubts entered and answers were sought, but that doesnt mean it will definitely be the same for other people.
