  1. Salam Alaikum bro. Sometimes it may be hard to comprehend. But Allah (swt) truly knows what best for us. I think the reason Allah (swt) may not answer some of your prayers is simply because HE (swt) knows that that particular wish may not be suitable for us. Remember bro that if Allah (swt) doesn't give you what you want in this dunya HE (SWT) will save it for your akhiraat. Don't lose your faith brother. The power of Allah (swt) is stronger than we can EVER COMPREHEND. Remember that this life is short. We're not always going to get everything we want. Pretty soon we will have to stand before Allah (swt) to answer for our life. Have faith my brother. Continue to perform namaz every single day and practice Islam. Insha'Allah Allah (swt) answer your dua. And there's another thing bro that I heard a sheikh say in a speech once. He said there was a brother who REALLY REALLY DESPERATELY wanted to get married. He made Dua 24/7, ziarat etc. But there was always a sin he performed. As soon as he gave up that sin Allah (swt) answered his dua. And also they say that if a person uses foul language Allah (swt) WILL NOT answer his dua. Insha'Allah I hope this helps my dear brother in Islam. Salaamun Alaikum.
  2. Bismillah!!! Salam alaikum brothers and sisters. Hoping your having a blessed fast during this beautiful Ramadan. Check out my video Inshallah !!! Islam and science! Enjoy !!! tell me what u think Inshallah!
  3. I love all Ayatollahs in the Shia world. But some of my favorite are Ayatollah Sayed Ali Sistani www.sistani.org and Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Hussain Fadhlallah http://english.bayynat.org.lb/ (May Allah swt bless him). Oh and I do taqleed of Ayatollah Sistani =) www.sistani.org www.najaf.org
  4. Assalam Alaikum my dear brother in Islam. First let me wish you a blessed Ramadan Insha'Allah. May Allah (swt) accept your fasting and prayers Insha'Allah. The fact that your pondering about these issues is a sign of what Allah (swt) commands us to do. HE (swt) wants us to ponder about life. Brother our religion of Islam has an answer to every question that you may have. And Insha'Allah I will do my best to answer you. First you must understand the MERCIFUL nature of Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì. God Almighty is GREATER than anything in this universe. HIS mercy and compassion far exceeds any entity in this universe. Hell is prepared for the disbelievers and for the TRULY wicked who have committed horrendous crimes. Islam tries to give the human being a REASON to wanna change. Backbiting, swearing, not praying are things that are condemned in the Holy Qur'an. You MUST put your trust in God ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì. His system of justice is perfect and we as human beings who are fallible can't see the logic of it. Don't lose your faith in Islam brother. There's a reason Islam is the FASTEST growing religion in the world. People these days are starving for knowledge. Searching for God and Islam gives them soo much. You've probably heard this a million times but I MUST repeat it. Don't judge Islam by the Muslims judge it by the religion. Judge it by the Holy Qur'an. Look deep within your heart. Remember that Allah (swt) has a purpose for everyone. HE loves you and if your TRULY seeking guidance just ask Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì. SINCERELY beg Allah (Swt) for the answers. I PROMISE HE won't leave you alone. I hope I was of help my dear brother. Salam alaikum.
  5. Salam brother, the whole point I was trying to make with the videos is that we as MUSLIMS weather shia or sunni know that the name of Allah (swt) MUST be invoked before eating permissible meat. That video just proves the benefits of them. I mean the proof is right there. The invoking of Allah swt's name over meat is in the Holy Qur'an. Here's the evidence from our Holy Qur'an. 1- Chapter: 6 , Verse: 145 say: i do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your lord is forgiving, merciful 3- Chapter: 16 , Verse: 115 he has only forbidden you what dies of itself and blood and flesh of swine and that over which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely Allah is forgiving, merciful 5- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 3 forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and the strangled (animal) and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that killed by being smitten with the horn, and that which wild beasts have eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up (for idols) and that you divide by the arrows; that is a transgression. this day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear me. this day have i perfected for you your religion and completed my favor on you and chosen for you islam as a religion; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is forgiving, merciful. 8- Chapter: 6 , Verse: 118 therefore eat of that on which Allah's name has been mentioned if you are believers in his communications Allah (swt) knows whats best for us human beings. Invoking the name of Allah (swt) has wisdom. If you think the video is inaccurate that is your choice brother. I was just trying to encourage MYSELF and my fellow brothers and sisters to START EATING healthy beginning with what our Holy Religion of Islam requires. Ameen and Ramadan Mubarak!
  6. Bismillah !!! Alhamdulilah !!!! This video proves it bros and sisters. Reciting "Bismillahi Allahu Akbar" over meat to make it Zabiha Halal ACTUALLY RESULTS IN the loss of germs in the animal's body. MASHALLAH !!!! Allah (swt) knows whats best for us. NO MORE IN AND OUT BURGER FOR ME !!!!!!! =) WATCH part 1 first

  10. Source: iecoc.org Bismillahir RahmanirRaheem' The Islamic Educational Center would like to congratulate our Muslim community on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadhan. According to the testimony of reliable witnesses, the new moon has been sighted on Sunday night, July 31st, in South Africa, South America, and with the help of binoculars in southern California. Therefore, the beginning of the month of Ramadhan is Monday, August 1, 2011. We take this opportunity to ask our community to unite with one another and to observe solidarity and cooperation with their Muslim brothers and sisters worldwide. This holy month is a time for us all to focus on self-restraint and self-control, and to turn away from the physical constraints of the body to the spiritual freedom of worship and dedication. It is a time for us to remember our permanent abode in the Here After and to take some time to reflect on our actions and deeds, and enhance our commitment to and relationship with our Lord and to our fellow human brothers and sisters. We invite our brothers, sisters, and friends in southern California to attend the IECOC nightly programs which begin on Monday, August 1, and last until the end of the holy month, inshaAllah. The IECOC is also pleased to announce its month-long program beginning on Monday, August 1, 2011. 12. Asnna jan I'm an Afghan living in the US too. I was proudly born in Kabul, Afghanistan. But U.S. citizenship has MANY benefits. We can leave the country anytime we please. We can bring our relatives from back home. We can vote and have the power to make changes. Insha'Allah I'm trying to get my green card now and I've lived in the states for 22 years. US citizenship would be a real benefit for me. But we still have that AFGHAN citizenship to fall back on lol. Allah (Swt) bless you bro.
  13. Bismillah! Salaam alaikum guys! I'm new in this neck of the woods and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 25 year old Afghan American Shia Muslim. 14. Bismillah. Salam Alaikum. I just wanted to ask something as well Inshallah. I started praying in 2006 during the Holy month of Ramadan. Before that I was ignorant and not well aware of the rules of Islam. Alhamdulilah I was born a Shia Muslim but NOBODY ever taught me about my religion. I had to learn the prayers myself as well as all the aqeedah and other amaal all by myself. So my question is if I only started praying 5 years ago and always made up the qaza prayers that I know of do I still haveto pray from the time I was ignorant of prayers? does that make sense? I was always Muslim but many years ago NOBODY ever told me about the importance of Salaat. Nobody ever taught me. So how was I supposed to know? I never intentionally missed these prayers I just didn't know much about Islam. So is it right to say I reverted back to Islam when I started praying and truly understood the Shahahdah? for as we know your past sins are forgiven if you accept Shahada. And how would I make up so many prayers if its wajib on me? Please give me a good answer Insha'Allah !!!!
