  1. Why did not they demolish the Kabaa after the death of the Prophet? Why did not they stop praying at all? Why did not they utterly destroy Islam as they could because they were in authority? No proof of any financial or moral corruption against Omar and Abu Bakr during their reign has ever been brought up.
  2. It is obvious. How can anger and venomous cursing be a part of religion? The very notion that cursing and anger against the companions and wives of Muhammad connects one with the grand scheme of the cosmos is silly. The religion which stands on some feeble narratives of the ancient Arabian desert and wants its followers to get angry over the unseen events is irrational. The peak and disclosure of this irrationality is that someone is asking that on whom one should get angry on and how should he be cursing around.
  3. I am a part of the Islamic tradition and its culture. The 12 Imams , like so many other people and things , are a part of the Islamic tradition so it shall be great to know about them. Though , this knowledge has no theological implications for me.
  4. ^ I have read many credible shia sources which attest to the fact that the Shia Imams used to be Sunnis in public. Their general perception was that they were Sunnis. It is this particular behavior of the Imams and the confusion among their companions on the real status of the Imam that Shias try to cover up by saying "This narration is based on Taqiyyah". Here is a sketch of the Shia Imams , mostly taken from Shias sources , by some Sunni and one can easily see how differently , simplistically and realistically they have been portrayed. http://www.al-huda.com/B%2012%202.htm
  5. You should believe in anything that is allegedly hidden and claim benefits.
  6. Meanwhile , i have started believing in the beneficial Flying spaghetti monster. Anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits must start believing in him first.
  7. Are you serious? Do you really think that he can benefit anyone after his own alleged escape due to the fear of death at the hands of Abbasid kings?
  8. Can anyone tell in non-mythical language how Mahdi is guiding people in this age and of what practical relevance is he in this age?
  9. Ibn Khaldun has written in his Muqadamaah that shias believe that their 12 Imam is in a cave. We have the book revealed to Muhammad and the Islaamic tradition which suffice for being a guide as i have said that Imam stands for book as well. Be sane and tell me how a man who is in absolutely no contact with the world since the last 1200 years be the Imam? How is he guiding you?
  10. Though i think Imam means "book" in that verse but provided that it means guide then i shall raise with Prophet Muhammad ofcourse as he is my guide in this world or for the rest who took Imams other than him then they shall raise with them. Raising with the alleged Mehdi makes no sense whatsoever. I have no relation with a man sitting in a cave since the last 1200 years so that i should raise with him. I am sure that such a person does not exist but even if otherwise , i he is in a splendid irrelevance to me or the affairs of the world and it is sheer nonsense to say that such a person is the Imam of our time.
  11. ^ Ok fine , lets say Imam means that. How does it prove the Shia doctrine of Imamah?
  12. I think you were not asked to show the word "Imam" in Quran so that you can randomly pick a verse with the word Imam and fit it with mythical gymnastics on what you believe to be Imam. Rather , you have to show a clear verse indicating the arrival of individuals which shall have all the properties which shia assign to their Imams from Quraan. "Imam" in the specific verse which you have used (abused) means book. Consider the following verse. Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear book. Then you can see the word "Imam" used in a castigating way in the sense of Path. And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. So We inflicted retribution on them, and they are both, indeed, on an open road (still) pursued. And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; Then , the word "Imam" is not limited for humans rather it has been used for any source of guidance as well. In the following verse , book has been referred to as Imam. And before it the Book of Musa was a guide and a mercy: and this is a Book verifying (it) in the Arabic language that it may warn those who are unjust and as good news for the doers of good. Then , again the word Imam used in a negative sense for path. But man desires to persist in his evil ways. You can pick all these verse and through your extrapolations you can fit them on the people whom you believe to be the Imams. But no person with a rational mind shall fall for your mythical lies and nor shall you be ever able to show that these verses reveal the kind and properties of "Imams" you believe in.
  13. Quraan does not need to define Oul-il-Amr as it is a common phrase of Arabic. You are again invoking mythology. And when there comes to them news of security or fear they spread it abroad; and if they had referred it to the Apostle and to those in authority among them, those among them who can search out the knowledge of it would have known it, and were it not for the grace of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have certainly followed the Shaitan save a few. This verse is speaking about the same administrative post of oul-il-Amr. Some people were appointed as authorities by the Prophet and they were the oul-il-amr which the general public had to follow in their specific discipline so that no chaos surfaces as it took place in the case of Uhad battle when some companions moved away from a post after hearing the rumors instead of consulting the Oul-il-amr appointed at the post. The Prophet used to appoint various people incharge of various posts so there were many aul-il-Amr at the time of the prophet. As far as your mythology of "seas of knowledge" is concerned , then get out of it. You are typing on a non-muslim invented computer and you are floating in a sea of internet which is not even remotely related to the mythical knowledge you are talking about it. By the way , do you believe that the messengers of the alleged Mehdi and Khomeini were Oul-il-Amr?
  14. I read the first one and such a long gibberish it was that it is pointless to read the rest.
