Once you delve into philosophy, you may even start doubting your own existence and start realising the existence of the Real.

If all fails maybe look into Pascal’s Wager (which was actually an argument used by Imam as Sadiq (عليه السلام)) :
After death, a man is mixed with the dust and all these things are mere assumptions. Imam ((عليه السلام)) said, "Even if it is assumed that you are right, there is no fear for us after death and if your belief is wrong there is no scope for your salvation, while we are risk-free in both the cases. If you want clarity, then you have to make changes on the outside to gain understanding. You already know what to do...stop chocolate binging and the other thing. Challenge yourself for a month and when you succeed, you will have more control over your thoughts.
