  2. One Must Fear the Acceptance of His Prayers If a prayer is not accepted it should be feared that (maybe) it is because of our sins. And if it is granted, it may be that one is so disliked by Allah (S.w.T.) that He could not stand his invocation again and again and has thus accepted his prayers immediately. Delay in the Acceptance of Prayers Causes Nearness to Allah (S.w.T.) Prayers May Not Be Accepted Due to Sins Sometimes the sins of a person come in the way of the acceptance of his prayers. At other times Allah (S.w.T.) may delay the acceptance due to some hidden wisdom. This would compel the person to repeat his prayers and thus he would be entitled for additional Tawāb. The opportunity to invocate is itself a blessing of Allah (S.w.T.). Another possibility is that Allah (S.w.T.) wishes to hear the entreaties of His creature many times before He fulfills his wishes.
  3. I was just reading this book called The major sins volume 1 by ayatullah daste ghaib , interestingly it starts with the word piety The Reality of Taqwa The word ‘Taqwa’ is derived from the root ‘waqaya’which means ‘to safeguard’or ‘to abstain’. In the Islamic terminology it is defined as the actionof restraining oneself from disobeying the commands of Allah(S.w.T.). When Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) was asked to elaborate on themeaning of the word, ‘Taqwa’ he replied, “Submit to the command {ofAllah (S.w.T.)} and do not go near the prohibited.” It means that oneshould endeavor to fulfill all the commands of Allah and abstain fromthe prohibited things. On the basis of this, Taqwa is classified into twotypes:The first type of Taqwa consists of compulsory obedience to Allah(S.w.T.) in fulfilling the compulsory duties(Wajibat) and not leaving evena single duty unperformed. The obligatory commands (Wajibat) are thosewhich, if not carried out, invite the wrath of Allah (S.w.T.). Also, as far aspossible one should try not to forgo the recommended acts(Mustahabbat). The recommended acts are those, which if performed earn blessings butif not carried out do not make one liable for punishment.7

  6. (i m not talking about turban) I don't think wearing hat is wajib?(any one can correct me on that ) secondly I don't think i look good in it , nor any one comments i look good in it nor i think some one looks good in it , why would Allah want to see me in some thing that's not good looking ,when he made such beautiful things like rose or he him self calls him al-jalil or al-majid or al jalal ,this being said , i don't mind any one wearing it ,if he thinks that symbol of piety .
  7. I think you have to understand tabiya and fitra first , see this lecture by kalil jaffer ,inshallah it will help.
  8. Abu Bakr Muḥammad ibn al-Ṭayyib al-Bāqillānī ! I am not sure but i think he has written the most on defending sunni madhab !
  9. I THINK THIS FITS IN THIS TOPIC ! In his sermon entitled "Qase'a" Ali mentions the attention paid to him by the prophet and says: "Do you know, that due to my relationship and on account of my worth and merit, what were my relations with the prophet. [*] The correct position is this that Abu Talib and the members of his family or the ways and manners of the time or the environments had no influences on the prophethood of Muhammad or the Imamate of Ali. These things were related with divine inspiration and neither Abu Talib nor the members of this family shared the secrets of prophethood and Imamate. (42) From the very beginning of my life he loved me and I loved him. He took me in his lap when I was a baby and thence I was always with him, he often kept me embraced to his heart, he used to make me sleep next to him; we used to be so close to each other that I felt the warmth of his body and smelled the fragrance of his breath. When I was a baby, he fed me with his hands often chewing hard bits for me. He never found me lying nor weak and wavering. From the time of his babyhood God had appointed the Holy Ghost to be always with him and this archangel was leading him towards exemplary qualities and high moral values and I followed the prophet step by step as a baby camel follows its mother. Daily he used to place before me a fresh standard of efficiency and used to order me to follow it. Every year he used to stay in a grotto of the Hira Mountains for sometime, and nobody used to be with him but I. None could then see or hear him or be near him but I. During those days Islam was the religion of only the prophet and his wife Khadijah, I was the third of the trio (the prophet, Khadijah and Ali himself). Nobody else in this world had accepted Islam I even then used to see the divine light of revelation and prophethood and smell the heavenly fragrance of prophethood. When the prophet received the first revelation Satan lamented loudly. I asked the prophet "Who is lamenting and why". He replied, "It is Satan who had given up hopes of acquiring complete sway over human mind. In this disappointment he is lamenting over the chance lost. Verily, Ali, you also hear whatever is revealed to me and you also see whatever is being shown to me. With this difference that you are not entrusted with prophethood, but you will be my successor, helper and vi zier, and you will always uphold truth and justice".
  10. I wonder at the man who searches for his lost things but doesn't care to recover his lost self. " IMAM ALI ! I will be patient, till even patience tires of my patience - Imam Ali AS "your remedy is within you, but you do not sense it. your sickness is from you, but you do not perceive it. you presume you're a small entity, but within you is enfolded the entire universe. You are indeed the evident book, by whose alphabet the hidden becomes manifest. Therefore, you have no need to look beyond yourself. What you seek is within you, if only you reflect." imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (a.s) Do not talk about knowledge with the foolish so that they deny you, nor with the ignorant so that they find you oppressive, but talk about it with those of its people whom you meet who will accept it and understand it. Imam Ali a.s Blessed is the man who always kept the life after death in his view, who remembered the Day of Judgment through all his deeds, who led a contented life and who was happy with the lot that Allah had destined for him. Saying From Imam Ali (a.s) "Do not take someone's silence as his pride, perhaps he is busy fighting himself." - Imam Ali (as) (((you rule my heart ya ali) “The learned man understands the ignorant for he was once ignorant himself. The ignorant man does not understand the learned for he has never been learned himself.” -Imam ALi !
