Ya aba abdillah i wish i was with you. Peace and blessing of Allah be upon you, your family your friends and all the lives which were lost on this sad day! May the curse be upon Yazeed and those who joined his ranks.
  2. Bit rude? I don't post on here much thus i thought i'd give you a bit of an insight in relation to my background brother/sister :) That is all. To the rest of you who have left wonderful replies, i appreciate your time and efforts. This is much clearer in a sense of political shias of the time and Imami Shias with solid belief in the Ahl ul Bayt(as). If anyone else has an import or more knowledge on this matter hadiths/lectures etc please do share as i'm keen on knowing more about this era in time. Wish i still had it.. This was a while back.. Cannot remember the source i got it from.. But it stuck with me and could never really find the answer :) Thought i'd ask more knowledgable brothers and sisters Jazakallah
  3. (bismillah) (salam) Good evening from Australia brothers and sisters! I haven't really replied or put a topic on prior to this. Alhamdulillah i was born and raised a muslim fortunately from a family that consist both of Sunni and Shias. So i have been raised in a very accepting of both sects kind of environment. I feel for those who haven't, as it is hard to perceive what it would be like for one or the other in terms of understanding. Anyways, My father is a Sunni and mother from a Siyyed family. Growing up i've realised my attraction to Islam has been through the teachings of our beloved Prophet(saws) and his Ahul ul Bayt(as) ever since i was 16, i've been a follower of the Ahl ul Bayt(as) and i've never been happier. My question is, i was once watching a sunni shiehk talking about the event of Karbala in relation to certain figures (Shimr(la)) to be particular. He mentioned that Shimr(la) was a Shia of Ali(as) during the battle of Seffin. Now i've tried to search for evidence on this topic for so so so long and i am unable to find any proof to his comments. I was wondering if someone with a bit more knowledge then me would be able to assist further or enlighten me on this issue/topic. (salam)
  4. The path has always been preplanned to attack HIzballah on a political level. To taint their image in front of the Lebanese and Islamic world. They will fail like they have failed previously. What they dont understand that The men they are fighting are the sons of Muhammad(Saws) Ali(as) Hassan(as) and Hussein(as) their faith is unmatched and their goals have no obstacles. They fear no confrontation on a political or physical front. They are the protectors of truthfulness and they forbid those who act unjustly. Hizballah from the time it arose till the day Imam Al Mahdi returns will be just and firm in their decisions.
  5. (salam) Is this how you speak about a Sayyid? In relation to the Iranians who consider themselves persians.. They are those who oppose the Islamic revolution. Even those who are Iranian muslims that oppose the Islamic Rule will deny their Days of being Persian are over. Also the Bahai's do not consider themselves anything but Persian. Those who whole heartly have accepted their deen and the laws of their deen are the ones who truely support the Islamic Rev.
  6. (salam) (bismillah) Brothers and sisters, Reason i have started this topic, I'm not to aware if there is a similar one somewhere within this Forum. Quick reason why i have started this topic. 1 I Alhamdulillah as i have stated in previous post. I came to this school of thought a little while ago. I got distracted for a while (the shaytan is a hard monster to fight) but im working on it. My question in this topic is. How do our Ayatullah attain such status? Also are Ayatullahs and Marja's similar or the same thing? Where do we stand in relation to following their religious advice? What if you are undecided about following one particular Marja? Also what is the equivalent to Ayatullah/Marja's that Ahl al Sunnah have in their belief structure? I would much appreciate it if some brothers or sisters may enlighten me on such a topic? :) :) :) Jazakallah kheir (wasalam)
  7. Akhi regardless of what print is on the clay tablet, is not important. Ahl al Sunnah will always find something to mislead their followers about. Then they will neglect their own souces. It is not fard for us to pray on mud from Karbala it is highly prefered that we do. I have been accused on many occassions of praying to a "rock" or this is Shia Bidah. Stughferallah. The truth is that we worship Allah alone by prostrating on the Turbah, not to it. We worship not Imam Hussain, Imam Ali, or the Prophet Muhammad (s) as they are all Allah’s servants. We worship only Allah, and it is in accordance with Allah's order that we perform prostration only on pure earth. No matter what the print on it is. This is the Sunnah of our Nabbi (pbuh) and we as his Shia and the Shia of his Ahl Ul Bayt Heres a couple more Sunni Hadiths on the matter of praying on an object from the earth: "The Prophet said to his wife Umme Salma, "Please fetch the 'Khamrah' (Sajdaghah) from the mosque." The word Khumrah means a small piece of chatai made from palmleaf on which only the head could be rested when prostrating. lbn-e-Aseer in his Jam'a-ul-Usool The Prophet declared that the best spot for prostration was the earth or a thing that grows from the earth. Kanz-ul-Ummal Part 4. p. 113
  8. (bismillah) (salam) Indeed it is a requirement of the followers of Ahl al Bayt to pray on a subject from this earth. This is a Sunnah of Nabbi al Akram( (pbuh). It is recorded in many Sunni hadiths in relation to Allahs messenger prostrating on mud/sand. These are very easy hadiths to get your hands on also. Here is a few examples brothers and sisters Reported from Umm Salamah: “O Aflah, put your face on Turbah (i.e. while in Sajda)”. This has been reported byAl-Nasa’i, Abu Dawood and Al-Hakim Ahmed Hambal has added: "Put your face on turbah, for the sake of Allah". In Sahih Al-Bukhari (vol. 1, pp.104), it is reported from Abu Saeed who said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, do Sajdah on mud and I saw the mark of dust on his forehead” Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: “I saw Allah's Apostle prostrating in mud and water and saw the mark of mud on his forehead“. [Al-Bukhari, Sahih (English translation), vol. 1, book 12, no. 798;Al-Bukhari, Sahih (English translation), vol. 3, book 33, no. 244]. Here are only a few examples where our brothers in Ahl al Sunnah, neglect. They even go as far to call this a Bidah of the Shias. Subhan Allah. Although what is not a fard, is the necessity to pray on turbah from Karbala. It is something prefered due to the importance it holds to ahl al bayt. Although anything earthly is acceptable. Try your hardest to get your hands on a turbah from the sacred land, Inshallah
  9. Jazakallah :) Yeah i follow the Marja of Fadlallah, hmmm i'll have to keep looking i guess. Although that Hadith i have come across in the past. I just wanted more of a clearification on a Marja's stance thats all :)
  10. Sorry it's quite late here my minds not all there. Exactly what i meant bandekhoda. Thank you for pointing that out :)
  11. (salam) (bismillah) Brothers.. Sisters alike.. I've wanted to ask this Q for a while. Alhamdulillah Allah has guided me to the right path... Although theres 1 or 2 questions i need answered as there isn't many shia where i am located. My main question is. Whilst in Salat when i am reciting a verse after the Fatiha. Must it be a complete surah or is it okay to recite a couple of ayet from a certain verse? I will ask the rest when this one has been sorted out
  12. Assalamu Alaikum I truely feel that this thread was dealt with in the wrong manner. On both ends. I specifically joined just because this threat truly upset me. I was a Suunni, and alhamdulillah Allah(swt) guides who he wills. This is not the way to enlighten our brothers from other schools of thought or religions. May Allah(swt) have Mercy on all our souls.
