  1. (salam) Should start it again (wasalam)
  2. (salam) There's loads of websites / facebook pages with "Islamic Pick Up Lines". They're hilarious. I remember that lecture, it was quite good. Personally, I feel he says the same thing every year though not that it takes away from the lecture. (wasalam)
  3. (salam) The admins use IP Board software therefore they can't add any functions they think would be a good improvement. They are only able to enable / disable functions provided by the software. If I'm not mistake, to date the ability to have private conversations between members has not yet been added by IP. (wasalam)

  6. اللّهُمّ الْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

  7. (salam) A breathtaking piece. The simplicity works perfectly and the last line works well as the ending. It's almost like I want more, but at the same time, it doesn't need more at all. Also the contrast between the mercy and the pain (sharp knives, bullets etc) adds to the drama of it all. One thing I would say is "more sharper" is grammatically incorrect and takes away from the beauty of the poem. But that is the only bad word I have against it. Well done. (wasalam)
  8. (salam) Everyone loves a challenge! Aside from me, no idea how I'm going to do this one. AG15: Watching a young girl trying to sell small flowers for a living on the streets. I feel like it comes across as pretty fake which takes a lot away from it. In response to your challenge: What about you? The way his words flowed out like a potion Had my whole world moving in slow motion Never felt any darkness when he was my light Held me in his virtual arms every single night The way he always chose the perfect moment For the 'I love you' he typed and sent Every call, his voice made my heart melt Nothing could ever beat the way I felt It was the kiss at the end of every text Anticipating which perfect line he'd give next And it was the softness in his warm laugh All alone we were but each other's half Seven years on he broke my heart Mercilessly ripped my whole life apart He stole my capability to ever love I swear I thought he was sent from above I swear I thought he was my knight in shining armor But today he's spouting bull[Edited Out] about his father's honor So now I'll have to ask what about you? Doesn't your honor matter to you? It seems now you're done playing with me, a toy And you call yourself a man? Haha, little boy. You go, get married, go somewhere far away.. But my heart, with you will always stay. MDM: Feelings of a Muslim father [relatively strict] finding out his son has had a relationship before marriage.. (wasalam)
  9. I haven't seen you in FOREVER!

  10. (salam) You can minimize the birthday thing btw. (wasalam)
  11. (salam) AG15 : Your opinion on the UK government's reaction to the riots. (wasalam)
  12. (salam) Yeah, took a few hours for me but was fine then. (wasalam)
  13. (salam) The Gates Thinking back a small two months ago when I was engulfed in nothing but sorrow wondering how I could ever survive knowing there was never hope I could revive. Thought ahead to this period of time thinking fasting with another self-crime and letting that feed my desire to fulfil what is required. Time has passed and now I’m here and to my surprise I can feel this atmosphere and I remember what I had forgotten that in this month, open are the gates to heaven. So I stand with a stomach that’s empty and I walk with a heart that isn’t heavy and I realise that I am actually blessed and in my next life I will invest. (wasalam)
  14. (salam) Idk if it's to do with the update but whenever I try changing my profile pic, it uses the old one I had. (wasalam)
  15. (salam) Apparently Westfield wasn't touched? The amount of trouble caused by this is just bad, more attacks planned for tonight.. Birmingham, Liverpool and Bristol also had disturbances and riots. BBM's circulating are calling for a riot on Friday in Southampton town centre. (wasalam)
  16. (salam) Is there no way to get comment approval back? (wasalam)
  17. (salam) I check in to the chatroom as often as you guys and it's really not that bad... ;s (wasalam)
  18. (salam) Never stop. For example, you're sinning so it's as if you've taken a few sips of wine from a bottle. But does that mean you should drink the whole bottle and stop fasting and praying? If you really believe in this religion, then keep doing it.. just letting it bother you shows that it will get better and you are on your way back. Don't give up. (wasalam)
  19. (salam) Spotted a bug. The option to change the font size says 8 is the smallest but in actuality it still works on the old numbering system where 8 is actually rather large and 1 is tiny. (wasalam)
  20. I don't like the default font size.
  21. (salam) It's not working due to a problem with the update. (wasalam)
  22. (salam) With all due respect, yes. Education and qualifications aren't easy? Nor are they cheap. If a man has a family and needs to work to put food on the table, what do you think he can swan off and leave his family to starve for x amount of years? Working every day doesn't buy enough money for privileges. Sometimes, it buys enough for basic food at best. So that, is an absurd request. We all take our lives for granted. These people have to work their fingers to the bone day and night without even being able to afford some decent clothes. (wasalam)

    Insomnia

(salam) Well, I'm also an insomniac, and my doctor has told me to stop consuming any form of caffeine at 6pm (regardless of when you plan on sleeping) and to stop using anything with a bright light source (laptop, tv etc) after midnight because the bright light inhibits the secretion of melatonin which induces sleep. (wasalam)
