  1. Is it true the only place that must be pak is where you put your forehead for sujood? and of course ourselves and our clothes? :)
  2. Thank's bro, but why do so many translators also put stars Q. 37: 6 in place of planets? Shakir Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, and then do it again in verse 67:5 Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. i.e is there one Arabic word being translated here as lamps/planets/stars or two for lamps/planets/stars?
  3. wa alkkum salam fine akhi you? :)

  4. JazakAllah Khayr Akhi :) I don't have problem in believing in the esoteric and or the Ghaybah between our world and the worlds of the Jinn and other creations of Allah (swt) and FWIW I was very interested for a number of years before becoming a Muslim in Satanism, the left hand path, heathenism, Chaos Magik, Crowley and Masonry among other Occult "sciences" though I never took part in any summoning rituals Alhamdulillah What I have a problem with is the implications of these verses as I understood them i.e stars or meteors are somehow chasing jinn through the sky. But like you said I seem to have misunderstood or the translation is not correct? Anyhow I would be interested as you have a command of Arabic as to how you would translate the verse's in question to make them closer to the meaning and the Arabic language. Barack Allah :) P.S Though you mention "lamp" being some sort of unseen light but in the translation of Sur'a 67:5 it talks about the lamps that adorn the lowest heaven i.e ours so it's sounds like it means stars no?
  5. Bro we are not living in the 7th century the idea of stars or missles being thrown at jinnis seems rather "primitive" an explanation for their purpose.
  6. Asalam Alikum, Anyone of you guys have a an explanation for these sur'as? the tafsirs I have found all seem to have taken them at a literal face value meaning i.e that shooting stars or meteors are used to pelt Jinns :( To be honest these sur'as are weakining my iman so anybody who can explain them to me or give me a reasonable answer I would be VERY grateful. Q. 72: 8/9 “And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors. And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him" Q. 37: 6/10 ”We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars, (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. Q. 67: 5 “And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.” Barack Allah Feek,
  7. How do the Akhbaris deduce rulings if it has no precedent in hadith? :)
  8. lol sorry yes Qadha does that mean it's valid till upto Magrib then?
  9. Asalam Alikum, When does Zhur become Khadar? I like to combine it with asr and was wondering when is the latest time I can do this? :) Barack Allah Feek.
  10. Assalam Alikum, Does anyone know what the position is to her as regards Shi'a sources? i.e did she convert to Islam and if not why not? :)
  11. Is it permissible to ask intercession of Angels like we do with the ammimah (as) also what is the correct way to ask for intercession without it being shirk i.e do we ask Allah (swt) directly for the sake of say Ali (as) or do we ask Ali (as) directly? :)
  12. Please list what books you found useful or relevant or convinced you as to the proof and truth of Islam. :)
  13. "If islam turned out not be true it would still be true?" That's a bit esoteric ;) care to elaborate a little? "Of course remember though, faith is a gift from God. It is something He bestows to whom He wants to." Sounds like Calvanism and the idea of predestination after all where is the free will if it is all by his decree? :)
