yam_110 got a reaction from Warilla in lesson from treaty b/w imam Hassan and Muawiya
The treaty between Imam Hassan (as) and Muwaiya (la) is an eye opener to people from every generation on how to differentiate between falsehood and the truth.
In Muwaiya's (la) case, he signed a treaty and did not follow the same. So anyone who follows a liar like Muwaiya or praises him is destined to go where Muwaiya is going i.e hell.

    Brother,
Forget about best friend for a second. As the popular saying goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed.
Can someone provide any authentic narrations about Abu Bakr helping the Holy Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) while he was in the Shi'b Abu Talib? When the Holy Prophet and his clan (Banu Hashim) were under siege for 3 years, there is no evidence of Abu Bakr's attempt to relieve the distress of the beleaguered clan but there is evidence that several unbelievers brought essential supplies to it. Is that a deed of a friend?
Treatment of Prophet's family post his death by Abu Bakr is another barometer to judge if really was a friend.

Lol. He tried his best to avoid answering the question asked but ultimately he had to confess that there is no verse which proves the Sunni Caliphate. On the contrary it was an innovation in religion that the ummah elected their own leaders.

yam_110 got a reaction from Hyderabadi shia in Sunni/Shia How do you know your sect is on Haqq?
Please stop your deceitful attempts. You know by yourself who the Ahlulbayt are. Going by your logic, it wouldn't be a surprise when people like you will start including Abu Lahab in the Ahlulbayt and add r.a after his name. The select few Ahlulbayt are those who have been mentioned it he Quran and Hadise Kisa. You are trying to deceive people purposefully.
It doesn't matter what you believe because the history tells us that the rights of Ahlulbayt were taken by man-made Muslim Caliphs.

Instructions of the Prophet (pbuh)? Please tell me you are joking. You have no proof to support your baseless claim about Abu Bakr.'s fabrication
Regarding the Khutba, it is strange that you call a khutba with Quranic verses as a fabrication but even after so many years you and your likes have not been able to refute the Quranic verses presented by Bibi Fatima (s). If you want to give it a try then why not give us one Quranic verse which proves the absurd claim made by Abu Bakr? Infact, Abu Bakr did not have a verse to support his fabrication. I am interested if you can go one step further than your master and bring us a verse to prove your point. If you can't then you know that you are supporting an usurper. We all know what has Allah swt promised for usurpers.

The answer is in your post itself. The hadith you have quoted from the Holy Prophet pbuh is from the chapter dealing with virtues of knowledge. If one wants to learn about the inheritance then they should check the chapter dealing with inheritance.
The narrations quoted above are about knowledge and not about materialistic wealth. So it would be wrong to take these narrations out of context.

yam_110 reacted to Muslim2010 in EId ul Fitr in light of Sayings of Imams AS
EID UL FITR -1st Shawwal    (Eid – According to Ma’sumeen a.s.)
On the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, Imam Ali (as) delivered a sermon in which he said:"O people! Verily this day of yours is the day when the righteous are awarded and the wretched are losers. It is a day which is similar to the one on which you shall be standing (before your Lord).  Therefore, when you come out of your homes to go to places of your prayer, remind yourselves about the day when you (your souls) shall come out of your bodies to go to your Lord.  When you stand on places of your prayer, remind yourselves of your standing in the presence of your Lord (on the day of Judgment).  And when you return to your homes (after prayer), remind yourselves about your returning to your homes in Paradise.  O Servants of Allah! Verily the minimum reward for those men and women who fasted (during Ramadan), is an Angel, who calls out to them on the last day of the month of Ramadan (saying): ‘O SERVANTS OF Allah! REJOICE THE GLAD TIDING THAT ALL YOUR PREVIOUS SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN.’

Imam Ali (as) has defined Eid as: 'Any day that is free of rebellion (or disobedience) against Allah swt.'
He is quoted  as saying:"'Eid is for those whose fasts have been accepted and whose salaat are worthy of reckoning and every day when one does not commit a sin it is Eid" (Nahjul Balaghah, Maxim no. 428)
Imam Ali (as) gave one further formula for us to use always:"Remember Allah and He will remember you."
The Imam (as) explained that one who adheres to the commandments of Allah swt is protected by Him.
Imam Al-Ridha (as) said:“Eid is a day of unity. Hence, it is a day to give thanks and reaffirm faith in His favours and praise Him. Eid day is the first day when eating and drinking is once again permitted during daylight hours. So, for the seekers of Truth, Eid Al Fitr is the first day of the year”.
In the Qu’noot of the Salaatul Eid, Imam Al-Baqir (as), beseeches Allah (swt): here he sought that which Allah swt's goodly souls wished to acquire from him, as well as protection from those matters that the goodly souls wished to be protected from.
Imam Al-Baqir (as) also reminded us of the sadness that accompanies the day of Eid, the sadness of the usurpation of the rights of the Ahlul Bayt (as) and the violation of human rights.

The Imam of our Time, Imam Al-Asr (atfs), has captured this sadness in the Du'a Nudbah (Supplication of Lamentation), which has been recommended to recite on Eid.
The message of Eid Ul-Fitr is that no Muslim remains hungry on this day. It is a day that the rich and the poor enjoy happiness of the day, as the well-off give Fitrah to the less well off. The Fitrah ensures acceptance of the fast’
Imam Al-Sadiq (as) has explained:“Fasts remain suspended between the earth and the heavens until Fitrah is executed”.
The emphasis on Fitrah is so much that a family capable of giving just one person's Fitrah can rotate that  self-same Fitrah among every member of that family and fulfil this obligation. Indeed, a poor man receiving charity too should pay Fitrah from the Sadaqat he receives.  Thus, the rejoicing on the day of Eid is to obey Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى and serve humanity, the twin purpose of Al-Islam that The Prophet (saw) defined for humanity.

Some of the sentences from an invocation by Imam Zainul-Abedeen. He says:-
"O Lord, Thou hast ordained Ramadhan to be one of the most chosen
.. .. ; and Thou hast distinguished it from all other months, and chosen it out of all other seasons and periods; and given it preference to all the times of the year, by having sent the Qur'an and the light of guidance in it, and by having increased the faith, and by having enjoined the observance of fast in it, and by encouraging us to stand up for prayer at night, and by placing in it the glorious 'Night of Qadr' which is better than a thousand months.
"Therefore, in accordance with Thy command, we kept fast in its days, and with Thy help, we stood up for prayers in its nights; presenting ourselves, by means of its fasts and prayers, for Thy Mercy which Thou dist offer to us.
"And, verily, this month of Ramadhan stayed amongst us a welcome stay; and gave us a righteous company; bestowing upon us the most excellent benefits in the universe. Now, it departs from us at the completion of its time.
"Therefore, we bid it farewell as we did good-bye to one whose departure is hard upon us and makes us sad; and whose parting away makes us feel lonely."
Then he turns towards the month of Ramadhan, speaking in an endearing tone:-
"How much did we long for thee yesterday; and how intense will be our eagerness for thee tomorrow. Peace be on thee and thy excellence of which we have been deprived, and thy blessings which will no longer be with us."
These few words are the mirror which show the true Islamic feeling towards the month of Ramadhan and its blessings and spiritual benefits.
Eid-ul -Fitr is related to such a month of blessings, because it is on this day that the strict restrictions of the preceding month are lifted.

"O" Allah! Bless us in the day of our Eid and our fast breaking and let it be the best day that has passed over us. Imam Ali Zainul Abedeen (PBUH) - Sahifa Al-Sajjadiyya
Eid-ul-Fitr can be interpreted as a three-fold blessing:
First it provides one more occasion for the Muslims to thank God and remember His blessings.
Secondly, it affords an opportunity of spiritual stock-taking, after the month of Ramadhan. A Muslim can now ponder over the strength (or weakness) of his will power; he can see, in the mirror of Ramadhan, what were the strong (or weak) points of his character, because under the stress of fasting, the hidden qualities (or evils) of human character come to surface in such clear way which is, perhaps, not possible otherwise.
Thus a man gets a chance of self-diagnosis of the traits of his character, which probably no one else may ever detect.
Thirdly, it enjoins the well-to -do persons to share a portion of what they have with their poor brethren. On the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, a Muslim is obliged to give to the needy food-stuff at the rate of a prescribed weight, on behalf of himself and of every member of his family, including servants and guests who were sheltered under his roof on that night. It would certainly be pleasing to God if we did not forget these lessons after Eid-ul-Fitr.
In conclusion we should pray together to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى to accept our deeds done during this Holy Month (Ramzan) and to make us continue the good work and practices attained in this blessed month. Ameen.

Salam. Saffron is a spice that is edible and has medicinal qualities, such as B vitamins and minerals. During the time of the Imams AS, it was common to write a Qur'an ayah or a dua on a small piece of paper using saffron as an "ink." The paper was then soaked in a cup of water and when the "Qur'anic or dua saffron" was absorbed into the water, the person would drink the water. Another method was to write on a dish (plate) and carefully rinse the "Qur'anic saffron" into the cup in order to drink it. Saffron is said to help the memory, but since it is medicinal you have to be careful not to eat or drink in excess, because it could be toxic at high levels.
The narrations about saffron (used by the Imams AS) are very old and they are advice (suggestions) that are respected by many people. If you don't believe in saffron writing then you can ignore it. Characterizing it as "some sort of magic" is not respectful of those who believe in it.

So you must beware and request for Allaah (عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) salvation, and know that Allaah (عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) is angry with the people and He delays in command for (a matter) what he wants them. Strive and remain watchful so that Allaah(عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) will see you do the opposite of what they do…”

First: The emergence of Imam Mahd iأرواحنا فداهق, in which humanity is a fast path to perfection.
Second, the return to the world, with the advent of the advent and revelation of the Imams (peace be upon him) to the world, will be activated and fulfilled at all stages of the talent of the people who did not reach the stage at that time.
Third: The Resurrection which has brought about the evolution of the two former periods, and the loss of life and the ascension of the glory of the Holy Prophet, and the endowment of Hwyat and personal to the emergence of truth in the realms.
These three stages are on one another and will not be the first until the first, and the second will not be realized, the third will not be realized.
There are a lot of news about the signs of emanation and signs of retreat and resurrection, and the elders have recorded in books, although they are not sure about all of them, and there are so many news in them. However, the sum of them is briefly used, each of these three stages of appearance, return and resurrection, has its own characteristics and attributes.
In addition, some of them have proper documents and are acceptable from the point of view of the rules, whether they are narrated from the Prophet or from the Imams of Ahlul Bayt, peace be upon him.
Salman's hadith about the signs of the resurrection.
For example, Ali ibn Ibrahim Qomi, who lived more than a thousand years ago, and his interpretation of the texts of Shi'i literature, cites a narration from Salman Farsi from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH & HP), which is in Hajj al-Wadaa , The Prophet of Allah, in the mosque of Al-Haram, while proclaiming the circles in the Ka'bah.
This narrative is such that its content does not have any chance of harming it. Because it states something about the end of the time, which at that time did not have any effect, and even there was no ground for such events, in order to be possible later to arise and to forgive such a hadith.
Therefore, this narration and the like can be found in the authentic books of hadith and commentary, and they can be counted from the traditions of Dehl on the emergence and signs of the resurrection.
This narrative has been mentioned in the following verse of the evidence of al-Sha'a.
Extension is a condition of the word meaning sign, and the narrative is this: Ali bin Ibrahim says:
The hadith for my dad (Ibrahim bin Hashem) of Suleiman b. Moslem Khoshab from Abdullah bin Jirih Maki from'Ata bin Aibi Ria'ah of Abdullah ibn Abbas, which he said: "We are with the Prophet (s) Allah (peace be upon him and his family) in the pilgrimage to pilgrimage to Hajj We overlooked
The messenger of Allah took the circle in the house of God and brought us into contact with the blessed form.
     فقال: ألا أخبركم بأشراط الساعة?
And Kan أدني الناس منه يومئذ سلمان رضا الله عنه, فقال: Yes, or Messenger of Allah!
"And said: Do you want to tell me about signs and signs of resurrection?
And at that time, the closest to Salman was to the Messenger of Allah, and said: O Messenger of Allah! Yes we want to tell us! "
The Holy Quran has said: "I am the leader of the people, the people of Allah, and the people of Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and Allah, and His Messengers. I am not afraid of any kind.
"After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:" It is true that the signs of the resurrection are that people worship prayer, and follow the lusts, and their tendency towards the sensual, magnify the property, and They sell the religion to the world.
And in such conditions, as salt dissolves in water, the believer and the inward will be watered and solved, because he sees the vicegerent before his eyes, and does not have the power to change and correct them. "
Salman's carpet: and إن هذا لكعان or رسول الله? Prophet Muhammad (PBUH & HP) Almighty Allah!
Salman said: "These are the things that must come to pass?" The Prophet (peace be upon him), peace be upon him, said: "Yes, I swear to the one whose soul is in his hand!"
Or Salman! إن عندها يليهم أمرآا جورة, و وزرآس فسقة, و عرفع عذرة, و أمنآا خونة.
"O Salman! At that time, the people who rule and rule over them and govern them are rulers, all of them wicked and ruthless, and ministers who are evil, and rulers and governors and governors who are all oppressed They are the ones who are betrayed by all. "
Qal'al Salman: And the ın hzta lakan or the messenger of Allah? Prophet Muhammad (PBUH & HP) Almighty Allah!
Salman said: And these are some of the things that will be found? The Prophet (peace be upon him), peace be upon him and his lord, said: "I swear to God, my soul is in his hand!"
     Or Salman! Ehndn al-Asenah was one of the most well-known people; Al-Mu'ar-o-Mukra, and'Atman al-Kha'en; and Yehoun al-Ma'in, and'Idash al-al-Za'zb; and'Azbek al-Saydq.
"O Salman! In that situation, bad deeds among people are treated as deserving and decent acts; and good and good deeds appear to be delusional and unpleasant. And the people of treason will be trusted and trusted, and be betrayed to honest and honest people. And to affirm the man of the liar, and to prove his truths to the lies of him; and the true and true man is a liar, and to say the same.....

Fitra should be taken out on the eve of Eid and not before that. However if you want to give it to the needy before Eid prayers then you will have to give it to them as a loan and change the Niyah on the day of Eid to make it a fitra.
    Hope this helps.

yam_110 got a reaction from Ashvazdanghe in Reality of Cursing the Sahaba
Usurping of Fadak was indeed an oppression towards  the daughter of the holy Prophet (pbuh) as she was in control of that piece of land when her workers were chased away. So the onus should have been on the one making the claim to prove that it was a property belonging to the state. But unfortunately, the person making the claim not only took control of it, asked the owners of Fadak to present witnesses but also presided as a judge on this case. Logic defied from every angle.
Regarding the wives, they escaped the oppression because the target was the daughter of the Prophet (pbuh).
The fact that Prophet's wives continued living in their houses proves that the below narration quoted in defense of Abu Bakr is a concocted one:
"Our property is not inherited, but whatever we leave is to be given in charity.'
If everything left behind by Prophet was really for charity then the wives would have also been kicked out of their respective homes. The fact that they weren’t is a proof till the end of this world that the daughter of the Prophet had her property which rightfully belonged to her usurped from her.
If only people use a little bit of common sense, the whole issue would be crystal clear. It is a very unfortunate truth that people in their blind love do not look at things logically.

Brother, I know you are trying to play the Devli's advocate here but I am sure you can see the flaw in their logic.
    1. Did the Prophet kill those people who refused to pay him the Zakat?
    2. People like Malik Ibn Nuwayra (ra) were killed for not paying zakat yet he was a Sahabi, so how does this fit the adala of Sahabah?
    3. Muwaiyah (la) did not have the right to ask for justice of Uthman's blood as Uthman's sons were alive, did they go to the Caliph of their time?
    4. Even if we ignore point 3, how many killers of Uthman did Muwaiya (la) punish after he became the caliph?
    5. What becomes of a Muslim who breaks a treaty/agreement?

The list can go on but I don't want to derail the thread. Their replies doesn't absolve Muwaiya (la) of his guilt.

Brother, the problem here is that in trying to prove that Shias are doing things wrong, you are cherry picking on the text which is presented to you.
Please re-read what I had mentioned in one of my replies to you:

I clearly said saying Ya Ali Madad is one of the ways of doing Tawassul. When did I say that it is the only way?
So if you had read my reply completely, you would have gathered that there are different ways of doing Tawassul; instead of highlighting different ways of doing Tawassul and attributing each way to an individual, you should have tried to understand what Tawassul is.
Brother Shiaman already presented the reply by Ayatullah Sistani (ra) on the acceptability of saying Ya Ali Madad. Is there any reason to debate further on this? When one of the highest living authority amongst Ulema says it is allowed, I was expecting you to accept this simple fact and move on. It is sad to see that you are constantly trying to prove that you are right and everyone is wrong in this regard.
Anyways, Lakum deenukum waliya deen. Take care.

If they criticize one Sahaba, then they are opening up a floodgate to criticize many more. There lies the danger of their concocted fairy tales being shred to pieces and the very foundation of Adalat-e-Sahaba being punctured.
So for them instead, it is better to alter history, distort facts, forget Quranic verses and praise everyone who fought against the Ahlulbayt. All because they can call those individuals stars and add (ra) at the end of their name. Remember, Muwaiyah (la) only used to write letters for the Prophet (pbuh) and they changed the historical facts to make him a scribe of the wahi. He also became Khalul Momineen while the brother of the alleged favourite wife of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) did not get to enjoy that title for obvious reasons. Anyone who fights the First caliph is labeled an apostate but anyone who fights their Fourth Caliph was doing it with good intentions and hence both the parties will get 1 reward. Muwaiya broke the peace treaty but still he is Amir Muwaiya to them. Oooh... their fictional history books are so much fun.
