one more thing which i found wrong with that post is "stay up for forty nights every night praying"
the Quran says that night is for rest and the day is for staying awake
even the prophet slept at night, see this is why we need the Imams, to clarify these misconceptions that have entered into our religion
to correct that as the Quran says one third of the night is to be spent in ibadaat, so lets say you go to sleep at night at 8 ocloc, then you wake up at 2-3 am and you do salatul layl and other dua etc
the Imams have recommended we sleep 6 hours, so you still have a great portion to do what you need to do
also another thing, work is ibadaat as the imams have said in hadeeth, so for a prson who is working during the day(especially in the west) he can still wake up for the last 2-3 hours of the night, or maybe a little more to spend time with God
anyway to stay awake all night , and then to sleep all day is the trait of a lazy person, so it is not what is supposed to be done, also it is unrealistic in todays world, and almost impossible if the person had to work during the day, he would fail within three days
and one more thing, quality not quantity the arifs of our time and prior have said many times, dont do everything in the book, rather do one thing consistently and with passion
just like bruce lee said "i am more afraid of the person who has practised the one kick 10,000 times, as compared to the person who has practised 10,000 different kicks once each"
bottom line is do what the Imams have said, they said do saltul layl, they said do some dhikr before fajr,(not the whole night), and they said do the 52 recommended prayers every day etc and so many hadeeths of their recommendations, our problem is that we dont do what they say, and we seek something other then what they said, something "special" to achieve truth, when in reality they gave us the best program
one more thing, isolating yourself from people is not the answer to the problem, rather go amongst them, dont be afraid of them doing the wrong before you, but be afraid that when they do wrong you dont do or say anything(whitn reason), i dont mean argue with them on every issue, but for example lets ssay your around non muslims(and i wish this was always and the only case) and they started to backbite, you would interrupt them and protect the person as if he were your brother/sister, even if that person is wrong, or if you cant convionce them, then you show your protest by walking away, and eventually they wont backbite around you anymore, if they dont stop or if they are inisting on it, then you need better friends, or if they are inavoidable, then be prepared to do jihad with them for however long God wants to test you with this
the point is not to run away, but to be not scared of their judgements or of social differences, or fear that you might be left out or non-confirming or anti social, who cares what others think, you do what Imam Ali did and as in dua nudba it says about imam Ali "He was not afraid of any blamers"
musa in a hadeeth was asked who was his teacher in manners(after he displayed a beautiful manner before some people) and he responded i learnt manners from the vile and rude people by being around them and seeing how much i dont want to be like that
so the point is not to run away because you cannot "enjoin good and forbid evil" due to fear of social status or what others might do or reach to you
anyway all of thi within reason, im not saying you should go looking for the vile, but i am saying dont be afraid to stand up to truth, and i know how hard it an be sometimes, but you have to sometimes humiliate yourself and "..not care for any blamers" this will show to God how much you only care about him, and God will reciprocate what you did, and trust me he will not dishonor you but he will raise your status amongst people in such a way that you yourself couldn't do it in a million years

it is true a person would purify themselves in doing such a practise as mentioned in that link, but before he/she moves forward he/she would have to get that idea of doing it for other then God out of his/her head
actually what usually happens, is that the person who embarks on such a path would come with the intention of "experimenting" and for the reason of seeing all these things that were described in that post you posted, he/she she would embark on this journey, however after 2 weeks he /she would find no results of "visions" and would however see how far he/she has come, and the feeling that it rectifies to the individual whom is practising it would become like a drug)its addictive to have that beauty in prayer and worship and remembrance of God) and eventually the persons would naturally change their intention and he/she would not care about "seeing" anything, and would continue their journey towards God for God alone, because God gives them a drink from his cup of love, and the person feels that love from god which drives them crazy and they want to experience it again and again(its the best pleasure), but if the person continues down this path, and passes the tests to come, then eventually the person enters a stage known as khulus, or better said witnesses khulus
however there is forty stages of forty days (40x40) to "enter and become one with khulus and it requires consistent work and continues effort and the passing of the forty stages of forty days before God gives the person permanent belief, however like anything, God can take it away any time
we in reality have nothing and can on our own selves do nothing

    tabatabai said a wonderful thing
he said all that is on the outside is manifested on the inside and all that is inside is manifested on the outside
Isa said, as well as Imam Ali said "seeing they see not, hearing they hear not"
yes you are correct everything has stages even belief, just like fitness for example
you might train and be strong, but this is only relative to others, for example we have no belief when compared to the imaams ,just like we have no strength when compared to a bull, or rhino
however when compared to an ant we have infinite strength etc
God created this world in such a way that wherever you look you can see God, but you must lift the veils of your heart to see it, which means you must have faith, and you do have faith we all have faith, even an atheist has faith
because he believes when he goes to sleep that he will wake up tommorow, or he believes in his security or he believes that if he works he will have money to buy food and hence he will eat and hence he will survive,
and he also believes that one day he will physicaly die
belief is a wonderfull thing, and when we achieve belief, we see the truth in everything, we eventually see God in everything and this is what you called yaqeen(to a certain degree in the material world)
the main and pathway to truth is to follow Islam and the Imams, all the instructions they gave us is because they knew what we dont, and they seee what we dont
and we if we dont go forward, we get stuck in this vicious cycle which leads to nothing and has no instructions, so God then sends troubles and hardhsips to us to remind us of him and to remind us where we have to go and to whom we have to call out
but in a nutshell yes we all have certain degrees of faith, and all that separates us is the difference between sin and good, and also following our carnal appetites which cause us to move away from faith and God

Iblis does have yaqeen, however he didnt purify himself completely and pride was left in his heart
there are verses in the Quran where iblis is quoted as saying to us after he has caused a person to become a disbeliever "i am clear of you, i believe in Allah the almighty all wise" and so on and so forth
purity of self is something divine,
and what you are asking for yaqeen, is purity of self, because it is not Allah which makes us blind to him, but us that make ourselves blind to Allah by commiting sin, till the heart becomes hard and blind
also any of those traits such as anger, pride, hate, lower self, all of this accounts to veils of veils of disbelief
that is why i recommended you read dua Adeelah which is read to a dying person, hence you must be in that state where you die from yourself here in this world while physically alive, ande the veils will be lifted and you will have yaqeen
however keep two things in mind
firstly these gifts of yaqeen and true imaan is a gift, a veryu special gift from Allah that was given to prophets after much trials and tribulations, so dont think its something which is free, i think if you prayed to God for this world and yaqeen, it would be easier to be given this world before yaqeen, for t requires utmostt patience and utmost endurance in tribulations to achieve, and when it is given, it does not coem freely,. expect hardship after hardship, and only then if you pass, and Allah decides to have such mercy, will you achieve this, hence why i sugested you read dua adeelah, because this is the first step iof many may steps before you can achieve any of these gems of infinity in God, also yqeen doesnt come alone4, with it it brings ccourage, tawfeeq, answered prayers, and many many more gifts, so you can never receive it alone, because these degrees of special levels are not easy to achieve and receive
point number two, even if you achieve it after much much difficulties, it is so easy to lose it, and so easy to not inly lose it, but lose everything else you have with it, such as any faith you might have already established within yourself, and any habit(good) which you might have, so again, getting it is not the end of the line, it is the beginning of new tests and difficulties, only now if you fail(which is even easier then when you didnt have it) forgiveness and to return back to even your old stage, becomes extremely difficult and you can easily fall of the path and head into so perdition from which there is no coming back, and God will testt you that is for certain, there is no escaping it
therfore my conclusion in all this, maybe the reason you dont have it right now is because God doesnt think your ready to have it and endure its hardships, because dont forget this life is a test, and the closer you get to God, the harder and harder it becomes
imam sadiq said the more faith you have the harder life gets
so perhaps right now is not the time for you to get it, and God is not giving you it because in his mercy he knows you might fail
however that doesnt mean you sto striving, it means you needs tto work on those wekaness which cause this ffailure, you might have some hidden disbelief or hypocracy in your heart that has become your habit and hence causing all these problems of disbelief to arise so you are lookin for its solutions
the best thing i can advice is to return back to principals, and speend time on those basicc principals which we sometimes forget and let slip, and then eventually we ignore out of bad habit, and eventually when you are ready to move up in faith, God will call you to him
one more thing, yaqeen is like God giving you a country in this world, now imagine if you were suddenly handed a whole economy, a whole social culture, a whole nation, a whole government, a whole military etc to manage, of course without the right experience your mistakes would cost the lives and so much more of others, and eventually that country will be run down and fail
this is what you are asking for right now, but unfortunately you doint have the management skills to cope with it or the experience to manage it correctly
until you master the basic principals(imagine our shariah and basics islam don't steal, dont lie, dont backbite etc) its like you have not yet learned to walk, but you want to fly kapish?
one more thing, if you get yaqeen, God would give you cities upon cities upon cities upon infinite rewards in the next world for you to enjoy, and God doesnt give these things away so easily, we have to earn it just like how we earn money in this world, we have to start at the bottom and build our banks accounts up
good luck, and we need to learn to take our religion more seriously justt like we take everything else in life seriously, except in reality the life is childs play as compared to what is to come

Also one more important fact. Allah tested each soul before Allah ordained its fate. Then again it does not mean that the soul is defected, Allahu Alim, only Allah knows why he did what he did, its knowledge is with Allah alone. Also People with such positions are promised paradise. And if we knew the tests which await us in Barzakh for those of us 'sane' we would have choosen that over the horrors of the grave anyday. Here is one example:
Imam Ali said "O servant of Allah! The state in the grave of a person whose sins are not forgiven
is more horrifying than death itself.Fear its (the grave's) narrowness, its squeezing, its imprisonment
and its loneliness. Verily the grave calls out daily: 'I am the house of loneliness, the house of terror and worms.'
The grave is like a garden of Paradise for a good-doer, while it is like a dungeon of hell for the evil-doer. Allah tells
His enemies He will send ninety nine serpents in their graves that will tear their flesh and smash their bones, and this punishment
will continue till the Day of Judgement. If one such serpent exhales towards this earth, all the plants and trees will be destroyed.
O servent of Allah! Your souls are tender, and your bodies delicate; you cannot confront any oridnary serpent of this world,
how then will you face them?"

brother i humbly suggest to you something to consider
why do you want to get married? just to satisfy this desire for sex?
    think about it
your going to put a whole new person in your life, who has a background, a soul, family, love, hate, bias, chronology etc under the pretext of only satisfying for a few measly seconds that lower self?
your whole life is going to need change, your going to need to earn money, perhaps stop studying, move away from your dear parents, and in the end just for a few minutes and seconds of release?
in reality you will look for a women who appeases you on the physical level, so in the initial stage you will only look to marry a "sexual object" and later on you might discover the real her, and maybe hate her or like her, because in reality you are desperate, and Islam is not very flexible on time and getting to know the woman, when finding a bride, especially with parents and all their prejudice gets involved, and the overprotective father(due to society) and maybe jealous or anxiety filled mother(due to her attachment with her child) you will be falling into nothing more then tons and tons of new problems for only a few seconds of release
maybe you might "love" this girl for 2,3, 5 years, but eventually you will get "used" to her, however your urges will have become stronger, and you have taken on a new habit of sex as a base need, so now even if you dont get along with this girl and divorvce her and go through all the hardship leading up to it and after it(especially if children are involved), or you get along with her just fine, but your body is now used to sex, suddenly you become curious for other flavours(just like when your hungry at first milk was enough, but then eventually you need italian or some complex dish because your desire is bored now and needs new excitement) so the nafs is s stronger, your busy with life and all the new hardships and problems you face, the new demands your wife and you have, the boredom or tastes you acquire or conjure due to all the experiences you created, and your spirituality has been crucified and forgotten, your always tired and you dont have to sleep , not to mention pray the basics just like the hadeeth from imam ali about this life been similar to sea water which the more you drink the thirstier you become until eventually you die
think about all this, this is all and far more then this to be considered
or there is the other option, overcome and destroy your nafs(the lifestyle of the prophets and imams) and let God guide you and match you up in life, so that if God decides to marry you off, so be it, it will be a perfect smooth marriage without any problems which will bless you and not curse your life into perdition due to following the lusts if you choose the first option, or perhaps u stay a bachelor your whole life, but that wont atter when you wont have the desires which you long destroyed and moved towards God
the choice is yours, and the reality is true and spoken, just look around you if you need to see the truth of it more

the Imams had said that "we ae the names of Allah"
and whenever a person asks Allah for help, he never directly asks God but asks in the "names" of God
    Bismillah-hi rahman iraheem
In the "name" of Allah Most Gracius Most Mercifull
Whatever you ask, for forgiveness, or whatever it may be, you ask in the names
and that is why if you are asking for forgiveness, it is good way to ask in the name of "Rahman Ir Raheem" as you would normally "Bismillahirahman ir raheem Astagfirullah"
or such names as Al afoo "the pardoner" etc
if your asking for increase in livelyhood you would ask in the appropriate name , however you can still ask in any of the names of Allah nevertheless
Even the Prophets of the past used to ask in the names of Ahlul Bayt
As you know with the Ahlul Bayt they are God's most loved people, so they are a monument to his mercy

    Tell me oh Shi'a...
Why is Imam Hassan (as) forgotten by many of us?
Out of the 5 Ahlul Kis'a members (as); he is the least remembered and mentioned.
Indeed it is shameful that in Muharram there is majalis left right and centre; whereas on his martyrdom anniversary there is barely any :(
Take a look at how many visitors Imam Hussein (as) has on a daily basis; and then take a look at how many Imam Hassan (as) has - why do we allow this to happen?
The wahabi guards don't let us come close enough to his grave; this I understand, but does this mean we shouldn't even visit him at the least or even on a regular basis?
We have a responsibility towards this saint and if we don't act upon it - by my Lord we will be held accountable.

there is a hadeeth about one of the Imams, i cant remember which exactly, but his son(the next imam) was in tears during the dying period i.e he mourned for his suffering, but the moment he died, he would stop crying, and they asked him why is this and he replied that he cried during the difficulty of pain of his father, but once he died he was in peace and there was no reason to cry because he entered Heaven and the domain of God and bliss
however with Imam Hussein it is a different story, Imam Zaynul Abideen cried whenever he saw somebody drinking water, and it is recommended to cry for Imam Hussein, but it is not crying because of the fact that he left this life, all the Imams wish for death because they wish to return to God and leave this low world, any seeker of God hates this life and wants to leave this life, he/she doesn not want to be away from God and connected to this low place, he/she wishes for death always
Imam Ali always wished to be killed for the sake of God and Islam, for the seekers of God it is joy to return back to God
for example for Ibn Arabi on his death anniversary the sufi's celebrate and call this day the marriage and return of the bride(the return back to God) , so in some ways it is something to be celebrated that they finally returned back to God and had their wish fulfilled , because if you ask them do they prefer to stay here and not die or return back to God, i am certain they would always answer to return back to God, unless they had some mission to fulfill here which was not fulfilled
the Imams and the true seekers of God, wish only to be reunited with god, what is there here for them in this low world? Pleasure? Children? what do they have to seek here in this life? happiness here? this ground is the sowing ground, but the plants grow in the heavens, and the true seekers of God cry to be here and are joyous and happy to leave here and go to truth and bliss, return back to truth away from this miserable place where evil rules and the seekers of dunya seek it out for their pathetic and low pleasures of greed and carnal desires and property , the Imams dont want to be here amongst them
