Oh Allah! I desire to marry, so arrange for me a woman from those who willingly abstain from what is unlawful and who safeguards her soul for my sake and because of her, not only my means of sustenance will increase, but also make there be in it abundance and also make it sure that she will give me a virtuous son, who will be a noble successor in my life and after my death.
Ya Rabb, help me in finding a good wife in the same boat as me, who also understands and accepts me as I am. May she find peace and be filled with joy wherever she goes. May she have the strength and courage to find me, love me and live with me. May she find and be filled with much wisdom and clarity in her words and from her experiences. May she in her kindness, share these experiences with me and help us grow together. Verily with hardship comes ease. (إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا - 94:6)
Ya Rabb, You alone know what is truly in my heart. You alone know my struggles and pain, Al-Wadud. I feel unbearably lonely and do not wish to incur Your displeasure by remaining unmarried, Al-'Aziz!

Hameedeh reacted to AbdusSibtayn in Did Prophet Musa (عليه السلام) have leprosy??
Wa alaikis salam,
One of the pillars of our (ie Twelver Shi'a) faith is that the Prophets (ams) and the Imams (ams) are free from all physical and moral defects.
Musa (عليه السلام) was both a prophet and an Imam as per our belief.
Thus the question of his having leprosy does not arise.

Wasalam,
1. Can wait I suppose if not going to Makkah directly. Staying more days in Madinah.
2. She can perform tawaf outside Maqam e Ibrahim (عليه السلام) but not sure they'll allow someone with crutches down there if wheel chairs are not allowed. If in luck, when no rush, sometimes they'll allow wheel chairs downstairs in regular tawaf area, depends on time/rush.

3. She can perform tawaf on the mezzanine floor on wheel chair because she is injured and they won't allow her downstairs. Similar issue had come up when they had built the temporary circular bridge around Ka'abah.

Hameedeh reacted to Haji 2003 in Wife needs Umra guidance
Background
A month ago, in Egypt, she fell into a balloon. It's better than falling out of one, I suppose. So she has a sprained ankle.
If anyone is wondering why she can't just delay the Umra, these Middle Eastern trips are for my employer, and it's super convenient for her and the family to come with me.
Here's her message
Salam please answer with the guidance of Ayatollah Sistani's fatwa
I am planning to go on umra but due to my sprained ankle it might be difficult for me to do tawaf as normal
now as far as I know according to ayatollah sistani's fatwa tawaf has to be done between the maqam e Ibrahim and kaaba and obviously on the ground floor.
These days wheelchair facilities are only available on the mezzanine floors.
What options are permissible for me
1 wait until I am fully recovered and perform umra then
2 do it on the ground floor but outside of maqam e Ibrahim to avoid being pushed around and easily go at a slow pace with a crutch
3 do it on the wheelchair on the mezzanine floor because it is allowed when you are injured
Please guide me if there is another option or which one of these options are permissible jazakallah

Hameedeh reacted to Abu Hadi in Kamala Harris
The only difference is in style, not substance. In fact, you're right that after they get into office, the policies will be almost identical. That's why most Americans don't vote and don't trust politicians. Seen it too many times.
Third party candidates, like Jill Stein, only serve to take votes away from one side or another. Because she is liberal, she will take votes away from Harris, making it more likely that Trump will win. That's why people in the US generally don't support third party candidates even if they agree with what they are saying. But like I said before, it doesn't matter whether Trump or Harris wins, the policies won't change
The only way policies would actually change is if there was a strong third party candidate that was polling in the double digits in National Polls, which has never happened so far. The other two ways is if there was actually a revolution and a new system came in OR so few people voted that they couldn't not cover up the fact. Now, what they do when they look at number of voters is percentage of 'likely voters', i.e. voters who have voted in the past. That is where you get that 70% or more voting rate. This is not eligible voters, i.e. all the people in the country who are eligible to vote but don't. That number is much less than 50% and these kinds of polls are rarely even talked about because it would show that we don't actually live in a democracy (majority rule) because the majority of the people don't vote

Linkedin
I think for many people, LinkedIn is what they use when they are looking for a job, but I think building up a profile is what should be done while you have a contract/job and can write about learnings and experiences, etc.
I know the app gets a bad rap in some quarters. But I think it's underused. I've certainly been finding it quite helpful as a means of keeping in touch with people even if it is just them liking my posts (usually about what I have been up to professionally) or me reposting something an associate has written.
I make sure I tag people in my posts when I've done something successfully, and they have been involved.
Even personal stuff can be quite a good way of getting traction. Instead of posting the story for Sakina's next birthday card on Shiachat (the Stories for Sakina blog) I did so on Linkedin and it got likes/impressions way higher than I usually get on that app.

Agree with this. However, it probably won't happen if she is too scared by her father's threat to divorce her mother.
I am not more closer to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) or Ahlul Bayt AS than anyone, but you are definitely in my duas.

Hameedeh got a reaction from Ashvazdanghe in Donald J. Trump [OFFICIAL THREAD]
This could be true.
After Mr. Trump was shot, he squatted down behind the podium. Somehow he lost his shoes. After the secret service confirmed that the "shooter is down" they wanted to stand him up and get him out of there. When he got his shoes on and stood up is when he put his fist in the air and started chanting "Fight, fight, fight" but it is not audible because the audio of the podium was shut off after the shoe thing. Why would he say "Fight, fight, fight"?

Hameedeh reacted to JannahLM in Do you like your job?
It's not my dream job and currently I'm overqualified, but it's not a terrible job. It's just very boring. However, it's a great group of people I work with and I don't have to deal with the public at all so those aspects alone make it mostly worth it.
