Hameedeh got a reaction from habib e najjaar in Checkpoint - 2003 Film
    (bismillah)
    (salam)
Last July, Press TV showed an 80 minute documentary called Checkpoint, in three parts, on three consecutive days. I looked for the film at youtube, but it wasn't there. Tonight I searched again and it is there now. Documentary filmmaker Yoav Shamir filmed the Israel Defense Forces who stop people at the checkpoints in Palestine. Dozens of checkpoints are located in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, at the entrance to all Palestinian cities and in between every village. This documentary is about those checkpoints and how the people are treated by the IDF who operate the checkpoints. This is heartbreaking and it is only Part 1.
If you go to youtube and type the words Yoav Checkpoint in the search box, you will find more episodes. Some are in French and other languages.

You prostrate on dust, preferably the dust of Karbala.

You pray 51 rik'as of prayers a day.

You wear a ring on your right hand (i.e dhur al najaf, feiruz, ruby or emerald etc).

You say Bism'illah Al Rahman Al Raheem before any act.

You perform Ziarat Al Arba'een of Aba Abdillah عليه السلام.

You know why we say Aliyon (as) Wali Allah s.w.t.

You know why Imam Hassan Ibn Ali Al Mujtaba (as) signed a peace treaty with Mu'awiyah (l.a) and gave him the caliphate under conditions.

You know that yazeed (l.a) was in the wrong at Karbala.

You know why Hussein Ibn Ali - Sayed Al Shuhada2 (as) said to yazeed's army: "We Reject Humiliation!".

You know of the rights within Risalat Al Huquq by: Ali Ibn Hussein Al Sajjad (as).

You know why Mohammed Ibn Ali (as) said to the disbelievers: "Show me when God wasn't about and i'll show you when he came".

You know why it is important for us to become students of the school of Ja'far Ibn Mohammed Al Saddiq (as)

You know why we say: "There are no years like yours Oh Musa Ibn Ja'far Al Kadhim (as)".

You know why we call Ali Ibn Musa Al Ridha (as): "Ghareeb Al Ghuraba2", and you remember that he said: "I am one of the conditions of La Illaha Il Allah".

You know why a sunni said to Mohammed Ibn Ali Al Jawad (as): "I have now joined the school of the Ahlul Bayt (a)".

You know why Ali Ibn Mohammed Al Hadi (as) was not attacked when he sat in a cage with several lions.

You remember that Al Hassan Ibn Ali Al Askari (as) while he was in prison ate and drank two loaves of bread and cold water every day for two years straight.

You Recognise that Al Hujjat Ibn Al Hassan (a.t.f.s) is waiting for us and we are not waiting for him.

Haha, my bad, I did think that was the case but I wasn't too sure :squeez:
I think you've praised me a little to highly there and I do hope that Inshallah I can become the sort of person you have described! I think at certain points I may have came across as sounding somewhat arrogant (which I do regret) hence why little knowledge can be so harmful! :!!!: I am though, trying to correct my ways and be a better example of the followers of the Ahlullbayt (Inshallah) and speak more humbly and realise that not everyone may see things the way I do. Sadly, its only after when you reflect on these things that you realise things could be said in a better way.
I don't know why I'm explaining this (neither do you I suppose), but I just felt like I was being admired for something that I didn't do which made me feel a tad guilty.. But I will be trying my best!!
And I agree with you I think we should set good examples so people will be attracted to the path of the Ahlullbayt and that we should teach them about it (nicely!) if they want to be taught. ^_^

Ah, you misunderstood my post! I meant to say that I knew the answers of those and so used those links to back up points, not that I needed the links  (I just needed to know if the encyclopedia was a good book to rely on) I explained as I didn't want people to misunderstand that I was getting my myself into a Shia vs Sunni or Imam Ali vs Calipheh type of debate, rather, I was just explaining basic things which I was asked.
The all above, however, only applies if your post was put together for me :squeez:

It wastes a lot of your time. It can become an addiction where a person cannot go anywhere or do anything because they are on facebook all the time. I don't have time to devote to facebook, so I never go there. When I cannot log into ShiaChat, I go to the ShiaChat facebook page, but if the mods or admins don't post anything on the wall there, we don't know why ShiaChat is down or when it will be back up, etc. One time last December there was a message that ShiaChat was under maintenance and that they were working on it.

A gift to my momin brothers and sisters.

    (41) وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِنْ مَكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ

[Shakir 50:41] And listen on the day when the crier shall cry from a near place
[Pickthal 50:41] And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,
[Yusufali 50:41] And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quiet near,-

Now some people may claim that this is about the "cry of Israfeel (a.s)" but Quran clears in the very next verse.

    (42) ‏يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ

[Shakir 50:42] The day when they shall hear the cry in truth; that is the day of coming forth.

[Pickthal 50:42] The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth

    (from the graves).
[Yusufali 50:42] The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.

It is quite obvious that the translation by Yusufali is not compatible with arabic text as there is word of "kharooj" not "Qiyamat" (Resurrection).

Dreams shaped on violence and oppression,
Hopes crushed through military might; and

Houses built on the echoing rubble of homes,
Policies shaped on abuse and bigotry.
Forgetting the recompense awaiting you in the eternal abode,
    You keep on, proud of your perceived victories;
    For every funeral you caused,
    Every bride you widowed,
    Every child you crippled,
    Every son you orphaned,
Every mother you caused to mourn,
    Every father you left helpless,
Every orphan you left in pangs of hunger,
    Every family you left desolate,
    Every home you tore apart,
    brick by brick,
    Every existence you threatened,
Every planted grove you ripped from the earth,
Every protected camp you shelled with bombs and gas,
Every oppressed voice you stifled; and
    Every breath you suffocated.
Surprised and enraged by our resilient existence,
You forget your motto keeps us going:
From God we are, and to Him we must surely return!
Firm in the defence of our homeland,
The land of saints and prophets,
The land blessed by Isa (as), Muhammad (saw) and Mahdi (atf)
Quds - the land of the free.
Where death from your hands is anticipated; and
    Victory from God assured!
May Allah free all the lands from oppression and occupation, and hasten our victory through the reappearance of our awaited master and saviour, Imam al Asr waz-Zamaan.

Even though it hurts me inside when the names of the 3 Caliphs are mentioned, I maintain my respect towards them for the sake that I do not offend a fellow Muslim. We are living in a time where enemies have taking advantage of this Shia-Sunni split and are destroying Islam from within, They divide and conquer, I ask the Muslim ummah to be united and stand against these Zionist plots by maintaing links with our Sunni brothers, for the awaited one (of both schools of thought) will arrive soon inshAllah and only he can portray Islam in the way it is meant to be portrayed.

Seek your positive light in the suffering and toil of this world. In the unending struggle of the good against the tyranny of of the bad. This is a world where the wrong sits on the throne and the true virtuous men are made to suffer. Put no hope in this world.

One of the rules of good ikhlaq is to avoid hurting others feelings, even the non-Muslims' feelings should not be unnecessarily hurt.
But Shia Muslims shouldn't compromise the truth. We need to be more sophisticated and word our arguments in a better manner. Also, arguments all have their time and place, you can't randomly attack them. Rather our behaviour, language and morals should be such that impress them and make them want to be students of the school of Imam Jafar (a.s.) as well.
    Like the Quran says:-
[Shakir 29:46] And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our Allah and your Allah is One, and to Him do we submit.
I see no need to curse the Sahaba they love in front of them. It's not a pillar of faith to insult the Sahaba IN FRONT of the Sunnis, it would be ethically better not to do that when unnecessary.
And who knows, maybe by means of your good ikhlaq, a Sunni might become such a Shia that he himself/she herself would want to curse them.
We should also keep in mind that the psychology of revenge insults is also in the Quran:-
[Shakir 6:108] And do not abuse those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return, so He will inform them of what they did.
If you insult the pagan gods, it could cause their worshippers to insult Allah. If you insult the Sahaba of the Sunnis, it could cause the Sunnis to insult Abu Talib (a.s.) etc.

Maybe it's not the best comparison, but....you know.

Out of respect for my Sunnis Brothers and Sisters, I try to not curse any of the Sahaba, or those loved by Ahlul Sunnah (no matter how much they deserve it). Hopefully, this respect will rub off on all Shi'is.
Anyway, I think both Sunnis and Shi'is CAN coexist if they do not, in any way, disgrace those whom are loved from 1 side. For instance, some Sunnis disgraces Shi'i belief by calling Abu Talib kafir, disgracing Imam al-Mehdi, etc. On the other hand, some Shi'is curse the first 3 Caliphs. This is what is separating Islam!
If you feel that a person like Umar or Muawiya does not deserve any kind of respect, then keep it in your head!! Refutes, debates, and fitnah have all started because of the disagreement between these Sahaba!
So I ask you, is it really difficult to NOT disgrace someone? Is it really difficult to keep emotions bottled? Don't use "they did it too" as an excuse. If they do it, correct them. If they don't listen, or you know they won't listen, just know in your heart that they said something wrong. You don't need to start a fight.
