I believe Allah's Mercy is greater than any of my sins, and I believe that nobody can answer my dua except Allah. The Quran is clear about it. No dua in the Quran was ever sent to other than Allah, and no sin makes you too distant from Allah's Mercy in answering dua, since Allah even answered Shaytan's request. This whole concept of calling on intermediaries instead of Allah is against monotheism.
