Salam. You didn't steal the coin from him. His saying someone stole it was not correct, because he lost it.
If you said, Here is your coin, you would be admitting that you stole it when you did not, you found it. Others would think you are a thief.
The fact that you gave the coin in sadaqa was good, because it showed that you wanted the coin to be used for a good thing. You are not a thief.

I can understand that people don't realize that Ayatullah Khamenei was the president of Iran for many years before he became the Leader (Rahbar). He wasn't self-appointed because he was selected by the Ulema of the country. In fact, he originally disagreed with becoming the Leader but the members of the committee convinced him he was the best person for the position.

Allah made food an obligation for us in order to eat it and stay alive, but you can decide what and how much you will buy or cook.
Mahr is wajib but it is a gift. You and your spouse can decide what the mahr is and when it needs to be given/received.
