  1. What do you guys think of Mir Hussein Mousavi? Do you think that ahmedinijad stole the elections which resulted in the Tehran protests? Please give your thoughts since this has been boggling my mind about Iran.
  2. A sunni friend of mine had told me on sunniforum that Jafar as Sadiq never said he was a Shia. Now does this imply that he never said that he was an Imam?
  3. I am sorry for writing the post regarding shias being non-muslims. Now I don't think that's true since you believe in Allah and his prophet(S.A.W). I was frustrated because I was confused. Shias were telling me something and sunnis were telling me another thing and I took my anger out on you guys. So Please forgive me. I just want to clarify: 1. Can you pray to Allah directly or do you need a medium, like Imam Rida? 2. If so, doesn't this resemble catholicism and the kufr?
  4. Please guys. This is really insulting to me. I am just a person who is asking serious questions concerning Shia Islam. I really need you guys to help me with these questions so I can get a better picture of this path of islam. Please answer my question concerning shia muslims need to use an intercessor to pray.
  5. I have heard from a sunni brother that he said about the shias that you cannot pray directly because you are not pure, or unclean or something. And Apparently, you need to have an intercessor with Imam Al Rida and then he speaks to Allah on your behalf? Is this true? Isn't this like in catholicism? Isn't this deviant from what we know in Islam?
  6. This is but one of the miracles of the Quran. But, the bible apparently has a code in it as well. I am just wondering if the Shias believe that there are some scientfic miracles in the Quran?
  7. One very influential scholar from the iran says: Mulla Muhammad Baqir al-Majlisi (died 1111 AH), the most prominent and influential Shi‘i scholar of the Safawid empire. He writes in his monumental Bihar al-Anwar vol. 26 p. 83: "On the whole, after admission of the fact that the Imams are not prophets, we are bound to acknowledge the fact that they are superior to all Prophets and Awsiya (legatees) except our Prophet (salutations and peace upon him and his family). To our knowledge there is no reason not to describe the Imams as Prophets except consideration to the status of the Final Prophet.
  8. Brother Orion, how about this question. As far as the Quran is concerned, I am hearing this from a lot of my sunni brothers that: 1. The Quran that the shias have is not the real Quran ) Not Completed. 2.) Has 17,000 Aayats. 4.) Abu Bakr's opposed the text of the Quraan. 5.) Original Quraan with 12th Imaam Mahdi. 6.) Do not produce Haafiz. 8.) Quraan will be read/ learnt when 12th Imaam brings it. 9.) Ali (R.A) showd original Quraan to Sahabah(R.A) who rejected it. 10.) Passages mentioning virtures of Ali(R.A) has been purposefully deleted from the Quraan. 11.) There are 2,000 shiah traditions
  9. Are there any scientific facts from the Shia tafsir of the Quran?
  10. Can anyone please clarify these claims made by sunnis to shias. Because of these claims, sunni muslims don't consider shias to be muslims.
  11. There are numerous Shi'a sources which describe Fatima's anger with Ali. A few from the famous Shi'a scholar Muhammad Baqir Majlisi (among others) state: * 'Fatimah (R.A.) described Ali (R.A.) thus: "You are hiding like a malformed foetus in a womb; you have ran home like those who are guilty of being untrustworthy and after having destroyed the strongest men on earth you have been overcome by these wimps." (Jilalul Uyoon by Muhammad Baqir Majlisi: 203) * After hearing some women talking about Ali (R.A.) Fatimah (R.A.) complained about her husband's features: "He is a man with a big st
  12. Allah 1.) He has the Quality of 'Badaa'. 2.) This means he forgets. 3.) He makes mistakes. 4.) He plans but this does not take effect. 5.) He does not know who to appoint as the next message conveyor, the next Imaam. 6.) "We (shias) do not worship such a god who gives authority to rascals like Yazid, Mu'awiyyah and Uthmaan." 7.) They say "Ali says.....I am the first and I am the last. I am the manifest and I am the hidden and I am the heir of earth." 8.) Shias say that the Imaams are the face of Allaah, 9.) The eyes of Allaah among his creation. 10.) The tongue of Allaah among his creation. Re
  13. ABDALLAH IBN SABA http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/vi...d=189&letter=A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIrAG...layer_embedded Sahih Muslim Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. (Book #041, Hadith #7034) Sahih Bukhari Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "You (i.e. Muslims) will fight wi the Jews till some of them will hide behind stones. The stones will (betray them) saying, 'O 'Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill
  14. What if the game has background music? Is it then haram? I don't listen to the background music, but I am glad its there. It makes the experience of playing games a lot less boring. So if it has background music then is it haram?
  15. but I have 2 questions: 1. How come sunnis are so strict on this issue? 2. If I play video games with the background music on, is that haram?
