Shabbar-E-Shabbir got a reaction from Ashvazdanghe in why do we need the hadith?
S.a - You see, Prophets came without a book, but no book came without a Prophet, highlighting the need that the book needs to be interpreted by the Prophet and be taught, preached etc..
So all we have under the line of the Prophet is the Ahlul Bayt (A.S) whom the Prophet recommended to follow (Through his hadeeth), basically, we need both - The Qu'ran & the Hadeeth to understand fully what the Prophet tried to bring to us. Hope I've made it clear.

God gave men Prophethood but gave all women Motherhood.
As a famous quote says, women are the mothers and educators of society. Man and Woman have been given their due status

I find that social media can sometimes make some one feel more 'lonely'.
One measure of success for any human being is having valuable relationships and having them in a meaningful way. I always feel one's family is always the first port of call. Sometimes you can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely. This is one of the biggest barriers to break, if one is able to mingle well with their family and build on their relationships, that is a sure way to improve one's well being and lifestyle.

Very true. It doesn't matter how much we give to your faith, we are inevitably going to feel lonely, feel sad and even feel angry with Allah (swt) and we shouldn't feel bad about that because its in our nature. One thing I've learnt is that our whole lives are journeys to Allah (swt) and it isn't always just a straight road, sometimes you can get lost along the way.

Du'a is a calling out to God. If I can be forgiven for saying this, reciting it in any other language than the one you understand and can connect with is almost futile.

I think our centres are evolving from being "culture" centres to becoming "Islamic" centres. However, in this process, I don't see any conflict in preserving our languages and ceremonies.

@ Katyushka, I read this at the right time haha! Just when I was thinking of getting into the 'i'll do it tomorrow' train of thought. I really like the analogy. Thanks so much!

    Salaam alaykum,

The state of one's heart is always in constant change. It is sometimes inspired and firm and sometimes weak and frail. In times like these, do you 'talk about your problems' to your friends and family or do you somehow find peace in conversing with God?

Is it perhaps, that your friends and the people around you that you find comfort it are a medium that God uses?

Would like to hear people's thoughts on this.

Shabbar-E-Shabbir got a reaction from notme in Is Our Destiny Only In God's Hand?
Life is a mixture of Destiny and Freewill. You are in control of making certain choices in your life i.e. what you want to study/where you want to live etc. Choices such as which family you are born into is destiny.

Sometimes things are out of our control and that means we have to bear the situation with patience. Perhaps there is something better waiting for us. We may like certain things that are not good for us and dislike certain things that are good for us:

    2:216
But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.

The main thing to take from that verse is that Allah knows, and in his infinite knowledge He has blessed us all in equal ways. Therefore sometimes we mistake something for a weakness, whereas the only thing we have to do is accept it. Move on and then turn it into a strength. Also that there will always be something better in store for us all inshaAllah. In need of your Du'as. I hope things work out for you

^Point justified. We should always try and think outside the box whenever saying anything on here in regards to what we are saying and whom is reading it :)
-- InshAllah she'll change her opinion and perhaps edit her post when her angers cooled down- but since the Sunni person reading this saw your reply to it, therefore s/he would not be put off entirely

Keep the inter-flaming to a minimum lol, if she wishes to call them ignorant, simply tell her that it may not be right to judge them under that circumstance or whatever, and if she is obstinate like she clearly pointed out - you leave the issue. You have done your job of trying to promote the good, and if you still want to do it - do it a manner that in your first reply she changes her prespective :)
** I dont need to go to a judge first to restore justice :P
