    In the book of Usool Al-Kafi, Part 2, chapter 17 (TAQLEED), there are 3 traditions that completely disprove the marjas.     Tell me... Why do we (most Shias) cling to our current priests as our leaders even though Allah has pro-longed our twelve Imam's life by over a 1000 years??? Why do we give our allegiance (taqleed) to fallible men even though our infallible leader is among our midst???     Maybe you are right that we should rely on fallible men who can't even agree on the basic issues like chess, smoking, music, etc! Eventhough our traditions have set a clear line on those issues, these marjas can't agree on many simple things. As far I know, I have read a tradition where it states that if an issue is not answered in a tradition, then we should stay away from it as a precaution until our Imam Mehdi (as) returns. Anyways, how often does those sophisticated issues come up??? Rarely!

    Nevertheless, only 1 sect among all these Islamic sects will be victorious and the rest shall fall. So if Jaffari (Twelver) Shia Islam is correct, then ONLY 1 of these 3 sects will enter paradise while the other 2 will go to the fires of hell regardless of their deeds. Yes, it is a great discision to make, so be careful in which path you choose.     1) Many traditions show that a person should increase his aql (intelligence) for his reward will depend on its degree. 2) A number of traditions show that a person must take the traditions literally without adding any opinions (rai), istenmbaat (deducing), etc. because only the infallibles know the true meaning behind them.
