  1. Sorry, I meant to say the New Moon. and the U.S Naval Observatory confirms this: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/MoonPhase.php#y2008 Please forgive my typo
  2. There are a number of conditions that must be met before a person can be stoned, beheaded, fingers cut off, etc. However, if these conditions are met, I have no problem with lashing someone if it will lower the amount of fornication in the land. Why? Because fornication does far more damage to society than lashing. Fornication destroys trust and tears families apart, so what happens when you destroy the household? Look at the social situation in America. etc etc Salam
  3. If you live in America, Eid is on Tuesday. Just look outside and view the new moon in all it's splendor.
  4. IF the Prophet(peace be upon him and his family) did sin, all his sins are likely forgiven, so there's no point in bringing up such a discussion. If a person is shown to be forgiven of a crime, we are not allowed to keep mentioning that crime. Peace be upon you all
  5. What is the best way to achieve unity amongst the Muslims? A good start is to stop fueling sects by saying that you are "Sunni" or "Shia" or "Salafi" or "Sufi", etc etc 3:103 in the Quran clearly says to not be divided. 6:159 in the Quran clearly says that anyone who creates division in Islam has nothing to do with Allah. Making sects in Islam is clearly haraam And being a part of such sects helps fuel them and may even be considered haraam, depending on how far you take it That's like being a brewer, despite alcohol is haraam. What do you all think of this topic? Please don't think I am a mem
