      Wa alaykum salaam wr!

Alhamdulillah rabbil 'al ameen, I'm doing well. How are you doing? It's great to hear from You! Yeah...the days of frequent shiachatting are over, lol. But I do enjoy checking in every so often. How are the days of Rajab going for you?

Please Eltemase Du'aa! Thank you for checking in. :bye:

  3. Hm, but what about political participation? It could be argued that, Muslim youth in the west are politically active, however, are all political campaigns, and initiatives that are promoted in the west (which the youth are easily lured into) representative of Islamic values? Many times, it's not that the youth are not engaged or active in political realms., but the issues lies in the lack of political wisdom (baseerah) and the need to build a power of analysis to understand the present global trends and circumstances, so that we are taking meaningful actions that contribute to the values that are in like with the revolutionary ideals of Shi'i Islam.
  4. "We don't want complicated icons. People do not like to think. If one thinks, one must reach conclusions, "Hellen Keller pointed out. "Conclusions are not always pleasant". Most of us automatically shy away from conflict, and understandably so. We particularly seek to avoid conflict in the classroom. One reason is habit: we are so accustomed to blandness that the textbook or teacher who brought real intellectual controversy into the classroom would strike us as a violation of polite rhetoric, of classroom norms. We are supposed to speak well of the deceased, after all." - Lies My Teacher Told Me, P. 25

  6. Wa alaykum salaam, It would be good to target your audience towards the youth of this 21st century. Perhaps focusing on the concept of misplaced leadership, and the ignorance of humanity and human values.

  8. "Anything you do out of love, this obedience is different than that of what you do out of fear or organizational instruction. You obey because you love, and you seek opportunities to do something..." -Sheikh Mohammad Ali Shomali (picture attached: Beloved Shrine of Amiral Momineen, the pinnacle of Muhhabah (love).
  9. It is disgusting! I was in Karbala for the Arba'een (Alhamdulillah) and I saw this disco right outside the Harram (like before you step into the gates). I was shocked!!! Mainly from Iranians, and they were just there hanging about, some jumping up and down in unison, others smoking etc. It was a very very saddening thing to see! And now this??? I never saw it within the actual Harram vicinity. Sad...
  10. Salaam Alaykum, thank you very much! Alhamdulillah!
  11. Salaam, Any farsi speaker available/willing to translate this old-timer?
  12. Alhamdulillah, glad you thought so as well. It was very impacting!
