Awaiting_for_the12th got a reaction from zafa in Are Syeds Really Special?
syeds are not really that important unless you really live up to that title. I mentioned this in another thread too. Being Syed means that you actually have extra responsibilities on you from personal to societal levels. Reach a local sheikh and discuss with him what those are. Being a syed means that you are from the family of Ahlul Bayt(as) so do know that every sin you do is actually worse penalty for it, since you are from the pure lineage. Claiming to be syed is easy, but none of us who call ourselves syeds, deserve that title.
Discuss with your family if you are performing the tasks of Syed. Being born in a shia family doesnt make one shia but there is a specific guidelines one has to follow to be consider shia, similarly being born in a Syed family doesnt make one syed unless he earns that title.

my purpose was to post the video... Sunnikid the point was not that the youth beat zakir naik ... did you actually listen to the points Ali Raza raised coz you are blindly in love with the guy and defending him when so many shia/sunni people have tried to contact him and he doesnt reply back... the guy doesnt know QURAN his skill is that he got a really good memory thats all... when ppl start defending likes of zakir over Imam Hussain(as) then you know their faith level is so low that they cannot differentiate between haq and batil...

so while we are at it is 33% jinn 34% human and 33% plant possible?
My aunt knew a man, who knew a woman, whose uncle said that there was a lady in her village who never came out at night. One day village people decided to figure out why and they went to her house at night and saw that she was sleeping on solar panels. Everyone was shocked, and figured out she was a plant all along and couldnt store light energy because she was more human, so thats why she needed solar panels. Does this make sense? well you be the judge lol

really this is how you view Azadari?
Shaheed Mutahaari (ra) was wrong then and Ammar is right.
Replicant i am going to keep ignoring the Quran verse since neither you or me are an expert in this field. Quoting in random Verse of Quran just because it seems to make sense to you. I can find a Quran verse from a random chapter and use that against you (what most sunnis do against shias) but that would be disrespecting the Book.
If i drive a BMW. I drive through the whole neighborhood and if people see me sitting in it, is it wrong to call me Mr. BMW? I am not even bringing up the topic of his extravagant lifestyle, the main topic was what he said. So you see why sunnis have hard time admitting Umar, Abu Bakr were wrong no matter what you present them with due to their blind love which clouds all reasonable proofs.
Stop taking it so personally. No one called him deviant or whatever your Nafs is making you think. I asked that he should be condemned and apologize. As you can see scholars will be doing that because its not just a slip of tongue most scholars will ignore and even in this small sample of SC look how many thinks that its ok to demand whatever.

calm down. Seems like you are a little too much emotionally attached to him. Anyways i thought its a known fact that the guy loves wearing Gucci watches (my bad i should have called him Mr. Gucci) and also that he charges 1000-2000 a lecture. Not to add other accommodations he "asks" for which includes car, a decent hotel to stay. These are not hidden things about him they are out open. You might like him for what ever reasons or you might have him on your speed dial but that doesnt change the fact that what he said is wrong.
    Good luck defending him:

Dont miss the quote at 5:20: Shaheed Mutahhari (r.a) says: Those who demand money for delivering lectures, they are dipping their food in the blood of Sayyed ush Shuhada Imam Hussain (a.s) and eating it.

Awaiting_for_the12th got a reaction from Ali Sherazi in Can I Pet A Dog?
Dog is an amazing animal, and probably the most loyal animal to humans. Allah has given it amazing senses which benefits humans, and Allah has never (from what i have read) curse a dog. But at same time dog is a nijas animal, which doesnt mean that Allah has punished it or anything, but rather there is something in a dog that is not favorable to humans. So keeping a dog, petting, playing with it is not allowed, which again Does Not mean its a bad animal but rather it was not design to be used the way people are using dogs now.
I am not a dog person at all, infact, as soon as i see a dog (even the smallest one) coming my way i start panicking because i am afraid it will touch my clothes and make them nijas, but at the same time i am amazed at such an animal. Truly a marvelous creation.

most of you have completely missed the point and thats why i thought twice to post this here:
"these speakers are the disease" you must have some hearing disorder if you missed that part. I have many maulanas in my family (who have actually spent years in Hawza Qum studying) and none of them ask for a fixed price. I posted a video of a respected Sheikh who clearly opposed the view of Ammar. So what Ammar implied is any maulana (MOST OF THEM) who dont fix the price for lecture is a disease. You guys must be crazy if you dont see anything wrong with this. When you are defending Ammar, do realize who you are opposing.

I am pretty sure most of you have seen this video by now, but here it is again. This person needs to be condemned and not allowed to sit on pulpit of Prophet and Ahlulbat (as) until he appologizes.

For the Ammar defenders make sure what stance you will be defending just because of your blind love for this man. Anyways here is the other video for Ammars blind defenders on how a scholar should be:

Then you should read about Hazrat Abbas, Mukhtar etc accounts you will forget Khalid. Hazrat Abbass mother, Umul Baneen, came from tribe of Bani Asad (from what i can recall) whose men were notorious for their bravery. They used to fight with lions.

you do realize getting "likes" has nothing to do with content in here. Most people like the comments of people they like (or have same ideology) even when the other is just bs'ing. Hence, its really easy to categorize everyone in here and kind of expect them to react similarly on same type of topics and liking the similar opinions. There are only few in here who actually follow Imams rulings over their own personal feelings.

Another reason why a couple should marry young, that way they can grow up together and understand where each other stand. For example: if a girl has reached age of 24-25, goodluck with that. She has already developed a way of thinking influenced by culture/media/movies etc and would be more harder to deal with on many issues and wont understand it the way u want to explain it.
But if both couples marry around 19-20, the bond is stronger, the thinking is similar, the aim is same.
For example: we are 3 brothers, we grew up together used to fight crazy on small issues, but as time went on and experience took us through hardships we made that connection on how to deal with things, and its amazing how 3 of us think alike. There are no surprises there, and we know how each of us will react in a given condition.
Similarly, if you marry young, you both can grow into each others comfort zone and dont have to deal with the "compromise" stage. Because both will have similar likes, dislikes, to the point that you both will start liking similar foods, hobbies etc. If you marry someone who already has passed that stage where she is molded in a certain way of thinking, then there will be arguments, fights on a lot of issues. This is the stage where the best a couple can say is "we agree to disagree" and try to end conflict that way.You can just look at threads here and see how some members are, and it really saddens me to think who will marry these girls unless they pretend to change to marry a pious guy. Other then that they will get their own reflections in marriage, or a sad bitter life.
Hopefully you understand what i was trying to explain. Its a difficult thing to comprehend but you should observe it around in your family or relatives. This means that husband needs to be sincere, loving and should know the aim of marriage. If he is pious, then the couple will be pious. If he is fasiq, then he is going to ruin two lives.

brother oral sex is allowed by all marjas, anal is makrooh by most, and haram by few. Just dont do anal, its not that hard to understand.
The points you listed were actually brought up by sunni friend and its their belief where you cant see your wife while doing it, and there needs to be clothes on etc. I was surprised at their jahalat and told him that they should make wife wear burka and he should wear Kurta and just make small openings and do it that way under the blanket with lights off in case if he sees any skin his Nikkah doesnt break.
You should read the book on marriage which i am sure all guys here have read it.

^Brother Muntaqim Force my reply regarding your question was it based on Fiqh proof or did i in any form encourage or explain you how a man should please his wife?
Some insignificant accused me of giving a "disgusting" explicit reply that was too shameful to post while she browsed on brothers section reading all these replys (kind of tells what kind we are dealing with).
I gave few replys, 2 of them were from source, the long one was an advice (from a SCHOLAR) regarding what to look for when marrying in order to avoid conflicts later in life. She accused me of encouraging brothers to marry younger girls, when i clearly stated "both couples" should be young and the man should be pious. She said i called women older than 24 "old geezers" which i not once implied or said but rather said they have formed a certain way of thinking.
I am pretty sure she is still reading this (because its her whose mind is disgusting to come to brothers section and read such a thread) and again i ask her that if she is truthful then come forward. Or else let the curse of Allah (swt) be on liars which is a Greater sin.

well first thing is you have to define what education is? If education means becoming a dr, engineer, etc then yes women have succeeded in that. But if you want to take the islamic version of education, then ilm is something that brings people closer to Allah (swt) thats the true form of education. And looking at that men have outperform women and its not even close.
Secondly, as a brother said earlier, its not worth it at the end. Work from 8-5 come home, eat with wife and kids and do the wajabats, occasional Dua Kumail and hit the bed. If thats what education gets you then might as well know that we are not the sahabi of Imam (as). We are just fooling ourselves. Even a christian does that work from 8-5, spend time with wife and kids, occasional trip to church.
The point being that is our education worth anything infront of the Imam (as), since the money we earn from working is pretty much being used so our life becomes more "convenient" while people in Somalia are dying of hunger.
