  2. Nawaz Sharif's religion is money. Being a basically uneducated man, he knows the only way to iget to power and make more and more money is to ingratiate himself with the uneducated religious people of the country. They are not exactly wahhabis or even deobandis, just simple minded religious people who can easily be roused to fanaticism. Nawaz Sharif, Jama'at Islami, Jamiat Ulama Islam, Jamiat Ulama Pakistan, Sunni Tehreek, Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth, as well as many other similar "political parties" all do the same thing - exploit people in the name of religion.
  3. No fallible human can be right in everything all the time. Learn to live with this fact Coming to Zia ul Haq, if this illegitimate ruler of Pakistan had not ousted the rightful elected government, and then sold of the country's sovereignty to the US for a song, the Taliban would not have come about anyway. Pakistan's ills all through the lates seventies till now are due to the illegitimate rule of Zia ul Haq. Zia ul Haq was a traitor of Pakistan, a betrayer of its people.
  4. ^ Shows that you have never been introduced to the truly great and unique Ulama Pakistan has produced.
  5. Money, by the way, has always been a consideratioion in 99 percent of marriages, temporary or permanent. Mahr is most often money, immediate or deffered, and it is the sole discretion of the woman to accept or reject what is offered, and to waive what she accepted if wants to waive it.

  17. Whether it is true or not is anybody's guess but all men consider the neighbour's wife more modest, more desirable, more with it, than their own, depending on their perspectives. When it comes to the neighbour's wife, the edict about lowering the ghaze is most often forgotten.
  18. (salam) I need some good, aunthentic books on Shia Marriage, Ethics of Shia Marriage, Parenting etc. I am especially keen about a book authored by a Canadian husband and wife team, in which the wife's name was either Shirin Merali or Shaheen Merali. They were involved with a community organization called Islamic Humanitarian Services. All help, links etc. will be appreciated. With thanks.

  21. One very often hears that marirages are made in heaven. Seeing the sorry state of so many marriages one COULD say that someone is making a hash of a lot many by shoddy workmanship. On a personal note, I like to think it is three things that keep a marriage afloat 1. Respect for each other 2. Willingness to ungrudgingly compromise 3. Ability to withstand outside interferences. That's my two cents.
  22. Why do not we undersatnd that ALL people will not think like us, act like us, see things like us. To Akbar007 What is the non-Taliban way of enforcing hijab?
  23. ^ Yes. Striving and actions MUST accompany all d'uaas.
