  1. Why did Ali (as) allow Shura when he was divinely appointed by Allah (swt) ? Also some Sunnis calim Shia killed him ie the Khawaarij ? Surely this cannot be true ? If so, an infallible cannot make a mistake right ?
  2. If the infallibles are so important (as) why didnt Allah tell us to follow them and give names. He gave Abu Jahl by name so why not Ali, Hassan, Hussain, or Fatima (as). Why 'code names' such as Kauthar ???
  3. Maybe that was his feeling ? Seeing as he called Ali (as) the prince of the believers, it is unlikely he is a nasibi.
  4. Whats this student [Edited Out] about ?!
  5. Seeign as the teacher of Ibn Kathir is Tamiyah...... now answer how the hadith makes him a nasibi. Oh and sister, becasue i challenge some Shia i am suddenly a nasibi ? I love Ahlel bayt (as).
  6. Brother i have said this before and i will say this again. I only wanted to counter your saying that Ibn Tamiyah is 'foolish'. In another thread it is said he is 'nasibi' ; when clearly i provided proofs he loved ahlel bayt. Also say he is a kaffer right ? Cant a kaffer love Ahlel Bayt ?! Simple counter i posted : you took this too far. I was talking to mansab... lol.
  7. W/salam Mansab, brother i do not know why you made another topic for such as simple query i made. You called Ibn Tamiyah a nasibi and i provided quotes of his love for Ahlel Bayt.
  8. Im not discussing what the Sunni scholars said or am i playing games. It isnt realted to the subject but yo one of your posts that Ibn Tamiyah is 'foolish'.
  9. ''According to this hadith, one day a woman brought a gift of a roasted bird to the Prophet. Before eating it, the Prophet, raising his hands, invoked Allah thus: "O Allah! Of your whole creation, send the person who is the dearest to you and to me, so that he may partake of this roasted bird with me." Ali then came in and ate the roasted bird with the Holy Prophet. '' And this proves HOW ? That Ibn Tamiyah is a nasibi ?
  10. Your slander of Ibn Tamiyah is flawed. Please anser me this ; why would Ibn Tamiyah say the folllowing if he is a 'nasibi' ? Ibn Taymiyyah was so aggrieved by the death of Husayn at Kerbala, that he said the following: “May Allah curse his killers, and whoever was glad with his murder!” (Ibn Taymiyyah, Majmoo al-Fatawa, Vol.4, pp.403-404) “They (the believers) accept what has been reported continuously from the Prince of the Believers Ali Ibn Abi Talib…” (Ibn Taymiyyah, Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah, Chapter 4) (Ibn Taymiyyah, Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah, Chapter 4) In regards to the Prophetic Household, Ibn Taymiyyah said: “The Ahlus Sunnah should love the Prophet’s family, give them support, and honor the Prophet’s will in regards to them, as he said at Ghadir Khumm: ‘I ask you by Allah to take care of my family; I ask you by Allah to take care of my family.’” (Ibn Taymiyyah, Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah, Chapter 4)
  11. Such baseless slander. Ofcourse he didnt hate ahlel bayt. Open your eyes people; dont be 'typical Shia' : They (the believers) accept what has been reported continuously from the Prince of the Believers Ali Ibn Abi Talib (Ibn Taymiyyah, Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah, Chapter 4) In regards to the Prophetic Household, Ibn Taymiyyah said: The Ahlus Sunnah should love the Prophets family, give them support, and honor the Prophets will in regards to them, as he said at Ghadir Khumm: I ask you by Allah to take care of my family; I ask you by Allah to take care of my family. (Ibn Taymiyyah, Al-Aqeedah Al-Wasitiyyah, Chapter 4) Ibn Taymiyyah was so aggrieved by the death of Husayn at Kerbala, that he said the following: May Allah curse his killers, and whoever was glad with his murder! (Ibn Taymiyyah, Majmoo al-Fatawa, Vol.4, pp.403-404)
  12. Didnt Musa (as) make a mistake in killing somebody ? What about the story with Khidr (as) in which he makes multiple mistakes in patience and understanding ?
  13. There you are wrong though... If we dont name our sons Uthman, UmAR, OR Abu Bakr ; why would Ali (as) ? Say your fathers name is Umar , would you name your son Umar ? Obviously not. ANSWER: Salaamun 'alaykum, Due to her actions against Imam Ali during the times of the Prophet and after his death (including the famous battle of the Camel), the followers of the ahl al-bayt are not encouraged to keep her name for their children. Wasallamu 'alaykum
  14. I do not want a third person view from the infallibles (as) but a quote from Ali (as) in which he claims he is infallible. Is there any Quranc verses which tell us to follow the infallibles ? Not ones with tafsir, something solid ; perhaps the names of the infallibles ; or a clear reference that they can intercede, not make mistakes, and are made of nur.
  15. "Narrated Muhammad, from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from Ali bin al-Hakam, from Abdul-Rahman al-'Azramy, from Abu Abdullah [as] said: Amirul-Mu'mineen (Ali) [as] said: There are servant (men) of Allah who carry in their loins uteruses like those of women. (Abu Abdullah) Said: He was asked: Then Why they don't get pregnant? He (Ali) said: Because it is (placed) upside down. They also have glands in their anuses like that of the camel, if erupted they erupt with it, and if it cooled down, they cool down with it." al-Kafi (fil Furoo'): al-Kulainy, Book of Nikaah, Chapter: Who Let Others Sexually Molest Him, vol.5, p.549, narration 3. Brother i do go to the masjid ; im being broad minded, through studying Sunni Islam's view i am inclining to some of their views unless somebody can prov me wrong on the matter. No one has yet proved me wrong on this topic. Ali (ra) never claimed Infalliblity, even though it is an english word there must be an arabic equivalent.
  16. Did Nabi Muhammad saw ever say the words Infallible through his lips ? If no, and you have no proof, you cannot help my cause sister. Still waiting for Ali to say he was infallible...
  17. Im a sunni becasue i questioned Shia Islam ?! I said no tasfir, i would liek an Ali quote where he says ' I do not make mistakes, and am infallible' If you cannot provide that proof, please refrain from posting.
  18. Seeing as all the Shai around me are ocnstantly telling me that the prophets are all infallible ; i think this is a lie. The most obvious example is that of Prophet Adam (Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã). We cannot fathom how the Shia factor in the story of Adam (Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã). Allah Almighty forbade Prophet Adam (Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã) from going near a tree in Paradise. But Shaytan convinced Prophet Adam (Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã) to sin and violate the Law of Allah. In Verse 20: 121-122 in the Quran, Allah Almighty says: Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray. Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness, and gave him guidance. (Quran, 20:121-122) Prophet Musa (Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã) also committed a mistake of killing an Egyptian man. In Verse 28:16 of the Quran, Allah Almighty says: He [Musa] said: ‘My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so forgive me.’ Then He [Allah] forgave him. Verily, He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. (Quran, 28:16)
  19. Seeing as we are not encouraged to keep names of the supposed Khalifah 'kaffer' why did Ali (as) name them with those names; even though they are after other peoples children ; a name is a name ? AlIslam.org : Salamun alaykum, The reply to the following question was kindly provided by Dr Liyakatali Takim. Regards Abbas Jaffer Moderator, 'Aalim Network =========================================================== QUESTION: as salaam alaikum - I have a brief question for you concerning the name A'isha. I am fairly new to Islam and me and my wife are expecting our first child. At any rate, I was wondering if such a name would be discouraged within the Shi'a Islamic community due to the association she had with rebelling against 'Ali etc. or if it is a common enough name so as to not have relevence in such matters. Your advice will be much appreciated. ANSWER: Salaamun 'alaykum, Due to her actions against Imam Ali during the times of the Prophet and after his death (including the famous battle of the Camel), the followers of the ahl al-bayt are not encouraged to keep her name for their children. Wasallamu 'alaykum
  20. Did Ali (as) ever claim infallibility ? If so could you post some Shia/Sunni references; and clear answers not ones that have a tafsir. Something like ''We Ahlel Bayt have been blessed with infalliblity'' Raised as a Shia, i mstarting to lose faith is Shia Islam (Twelver) ; Insha-Allah could somebody help with this query.
  21. Thanks brother :D Im new here . I tried this on a Sunni, but to my suprise he countered fairly quickly. He wrote me these hadith to search, and here they are. Abu Jafar said: “For the Imam there are 10 signs: He is born pure and circumcized….and if he farts the smell is of musk.” (Al-Kafi 1/319 Book of Hujja - Chapter on Birth of Imam)
