  1. Talk about a fitnah thread! Do moderators or admins still run this site? This thread's intended purpose is to reinforce old sterotypes and perpetrate division. Iraq and Iran will always have an unbreakable bond due to their love of the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام).
  2. اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
  3. http://nasimco.org/donate-Canada/ May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) purify and forgive us.
  4. How can we verify the authenticity of this story.
  5. Because you can take that fajr prayer to the grave with you to be eternally witnessed. Fajr prayers are especially witnessed by angels of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). And, who knows how any bounties of his Mercy Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) would have opened for you.
  6. اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ May our salawat reach the highest of highs.
  7. That one missed fajr prayer is worth more than all the wealth in the universe put together.
  8. I believe this is correct. As far as I am aware, surah ihklas must always be recited in the 1st rakat after al-fatiha. You can recite any other surah in the 2nd rakat after al-fatiha. Wa alaykum al salam sister, Perhaps we can consult a hawza teacher or local Sayed to confirm this? These little details make a huge difference in saving time and energy for people who owe 5-20 years of missed prayers.
  9. That makes sense, but can you confirm this from Sistani's website? Why wouldn't this be noted?
  10. Bisim Allah Al Rahman Al Raheem Asalamu Alaylum, According to Ayatullah Sayed Ali Sistani (رضي الله عنه), here is a short method of praying qaza. Take advantage of this method if you owe many prayers. The simple prayer without Mustahabat is: 1- Intention2- Takbiratul Ehram “Allahu Akbar” once3- Qiraat “sorat Al-Fatiha + short Sura such as Al-Kawthar”4- Qunut “Subhanallah” is sufficient5- Tasbeeh (In the third and fourth Rak'ats) “Subhanallahi wal hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illal lahu wallahu Akbar” once is sufficient6- Ruku “Subhana Rabbiyal Adhimi wa bi hamdih” once or “Subhanallah” three times 7- Sujood “Subhana Rabbiyal 'A'la wa bi hamdhi” once or “Subahanallah” three times8- Tashahhud “Ash hadu an la ilaha illal lahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan 'Abduhu wa Rasuluh, Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad”9- Salaam “Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh” is sufficientReciting Takbir before going to Sajdah and after having stood up from Ruku ..etc is recommended and not obligatory. Therefore if you perform the prayer in that way then it is sufficient Source: http://Najaf.org/english/?art_ld=79
  11. Thank you brother, Diaz. That answers all my questions.
  12. بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ Asalamu Alaykum all, From my understanding, the zakat before eid is obligatory on every believing family. The amount to be paid is 3 kg each person. How much is that in USD or CDN? How exactly is it determined? Thank you.
  13. Salam alaykum, The app is wonderful. JazakumAllah khayr. There are many great Shia apps emerging, but they all lack one important feature that is really important to my reading experience: tracking the verses. I want to click any verse and be able to listen to that verse. It seems like I can't do that and have to find out where the audio last left off. Only Qur'an.com has this feature but it's online based, cuts up a lot, and with respect to our Sunni brothers, it's translations are unreliable.
  14. I love his arguments and logic to support evidence for a God, but when it comes to his knowledge of the Qur'an, he is completely ignorant. The Shia Muslim community should try to reach out to him to educate him on his (lack of) understanding of revelation. Please watch:
