  1. I love his arguments and logic to support evidence for a God, but when it comes to his knowledge of the Qur'an, he is completely ignorant. The Shia Muslim community should try to reach out to him to educate him on his (lack of) understanding of revelation. Please watch:
  2. Thank you for sharing sister.
  3. Thank you all for taking the time to answer the question and thank you Sayed for providing evidence from the Holy Qu'ran. Indeed, I agree sister @starlight Now that the purified text is very easy and accesible to us, I been using Qur'an.com for this very purpose of memorizing, studying and understanding every chapter. Reason I asked is because I feel very comfortable and productive when I am resting on my back and studying it. I just wanted to reassure myself this was not seen as disrespectful or not in accordance with Islamic ettiquette. InshAllah, all the mumin and muminat can strive in their lifetime to memorize the Qu'ran because there is no better gift thab that. Jaxakum Alkah khayr again.
  4. Salam Alaykum, What is the ruling on reciting verses of the Holy Qur'an from your mobile phone for study while lying down on your back or side. Thanks, Jazakum Allah khayr.
  5. Qur'an 24: 30 "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and to gaurd their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is aware of what they do."
  6. May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) ease the pain of the families struck by this barbaric attack. inna liilahyi wa innahu rajuoon "To Allah we belong and to him we return." Heartbreaking.
  7. Bump. 1st of Rajab 1440 brothers and sisters.
  8. So, what is your beef with the Shirazi clan? You posted that numerous times. Reading some of the posts in this thread gave me a headache. The topic started off good then got derailed by pride, ego and ignorance.
  9. Splendid. Brother @Qa'im, fantastic introduction. I was searching the site to learn more about "yaqeen" and came upon your post. If you have an opportunity to respond to my questions: 1) Doesn't yaqeen come before being a mumin? That is, knowledge of certainty. One who has that, then develops strong faith and is in awe of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), the most High, the most Merciful. 2) How can one achieve true yaqeen, that is, believing 100% in Allah's existence and message? Forgive me for my ignorance in advance.
  10. They asked the Imam (عليه السلام) when did Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) exist. The Imam replied: "Tell me when Allah didn't exist, so that I can tell you when he did!" All glory be to Allah, the most Wise, the most High. May Allah grant mercy on the believers and guide those who are struggling, but blind to the truth.
  11. Salam brother, Say alhamduAllah there is even a mosque or place of worship for Muslums in your area. I think we tend to get caught up too much in the Shia and Sunni talk and forget that everyone at the Mosque has come for the samething you have, which is to pray to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). Yes it may feel uncomfortable, but there are people living in areas where they don't even have an opportunuty to see many brothers of Islam. I was driving to a town a solid 30 min away with only Churches and no Mosque. Honestly, I didn't care, I told myself I am going to go into this church abd just ask for a room to pray. I ending up not going inside though because it was sunday and they had their mass prayers... But just saying, not all Sunni Muslims are negative towards Shia.
  12. If you have evidence of your father beating your mother then take it to your local police station. I don't how how the ruling system is in Pakistan, but you should seek the authorities. Your father should know better. I would send him a clear warning and ask him to repent "if" he truly beat her. Do you know for certain? No offense to women, but a lot of stories these days are so exaggerated, one must be careful not to make quick judgement. It is incumbent upon you, as the man of the family, to protect your mother if you feel she is being harmed. Do it truthfully though. Sit both your parents down and solve any problems.
