  1. It's 100% a scam. Better to just block the scammer and get it over with
  2. Just like a lot of people here blindly believe in Hamas propaganda
  3. The point I'm making is that Hamas, PLO and the whole palestinian movement, supports the killing and oppression of other muslims. The palestinian side is just as bad as the Israeli side
  4. It's the "Resistance Axis" that is responsible for the deaths and suffering of millions of muslims. It's a corrupt movement that cynically uses the name of Islam just to steal power and wealth from poor and common people
  5. The palestinian movement and it's leaders support the oppression and killing of other muslims in Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria and China. They are just as bad and corrupt as their israeli counterparts. It's a shame that many muslims, sunni and shia alike, deliberately close their eyes to this fact and calls it "CIA propaganda"
  6. You're trying to make it seem like this was an isolated incident with a few bad apples. It wasn't. It's not just that instance. In a number of palestine demonstrations all over the world, they praised Hitler and wished Hitler had finished the job with the Holocaust. They regularly praise Hitler in Hamas-run Gaza television programs They kept shouting slogans about how they wanna repeat the Khaybar on jews This is nazi-levels of antisemitism. Hamas and the Palestinian movement supports the killing and oppression of other muslims in Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria and China,
  7. There are palestinian demonstrations where they literally say they're going to rape jews and their daughters. I could show you, but you'll just claim that they're "CIA propaganda" But, the palestinian side are "innocent angels" who can do no wrong and Hamas are noble freedom fighters. I mean, mothers in Gaza are literally celebrating when their children gets killed, celebrating that their children became martyrs. Hamas is a death-cult that you guys claim to be noble freedom fighters Whenever a suicide bomber blows up a mosque during Jum'a prayer, it's "zionist propaganda". Whenever iranian people demonstrates for their freedom and rights, it's a "CIA operation". Whenever Iraqis are protesting against government corruption and iranian colonial influence, it's "CIA propaganda" The palestinian demonstrations the world over, during the battle between Hamas and Israel, displayed levels of racism and anti-semitism that hasn't been seen since WW2. Support them all you want, but please don't put a 'halal' label on the palestinian movement. The palestinian movement supports the oppression of other muslims. So it's impossible for me to get behind it
  8. Exactly. You can support liberalism, socialism or capitalism all you want. But somehow trying to say that they're 'islamic' is kinda cringe-inducing. Islam has elements from most western political ideologies
  9. I kinda have a similar feeling. I'm born shia and I will always be shia. It's an integral part of my beliefs and identity. But these days, I feel that there's too much fluff and emphasis on hadiths, fatwas and tafsirs, both in Sunni and Shia. Especially ever since my well, girlfriend if I can say that, is sunni. We kinda realized along the way that the differences between sunni and shia is mostly based on politics and history. Just, superficial differences based on petty stuff. At the same time, I do feel a strong attachment to the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام). But as for my future kids, I just want my future kids to be muslims, neither sunni or shia. But IMHO, I think we muslims, sunni and shia, needs to go back to the core message of the Quran and the Quran should stand above hadiths. Sadly, many muslims obeys hadiths more than they obey the Quran, and in many cases, muslims put the hadiths ABOVE the Quran
  10. Socialism also calls for concentrating power and resources in the hands of a few elites. Socialism and communism is not different from feudal serfdom system of the middle ages
  11. They are not exactly separate issues. The BDS movement often comes out with statements saying that the Uyghur genocide is CIA propaganda. And the palestinian government has voiced their support for the concentration camps. The pro-palestinian movement actively supports the killing and oppression of other muslims, not just in China, but also in Yemen and Iraq. And so how am I, as a muslim, supposed to support a movement that supports the oppression of other muslims? Not to mention that this "resistance axis" that people glorify so much, are responsible for countless deaths and suffering of muslims in Iraq, Yemen and Syria Islam says that all humans are created equal. But fans of the "resistance" elevate palestinians to be holy saints that can do no wrong. And Hamas are "noble freedom fighters". This hatred of Israel overrides everything else. People neglect Islam's message of peace and love toward fellow man, in favour of hating Israel and in many cases, jews as well. That's exactly what I'm doing brother. I'm looking at the conflict objectively and I see that both Israel and the Palestinian side does really bad things. It's not as clear-cut black-and-white as many people say it is. For example, the Israeli settlements are very bad and serves no purpose other than to add fuel to the fire. On the other hand, during the battle between Hamas and Israel, there were palestinian demonstrations where they said outright that they will 'rape the jews and their daughters' and where they expressed admiration for Hitler and the Holocaust and how they're going to drive out all the jews. I think we should take the words of Imam Ali (عليه السلام) to heart and look at this conflict objectively, instead of drinking the kool-aid propaganda of the salafi Muslim Brotherhood
  12. I can post pretty normally, and I can edit my post once. But after that, I can't edit my posts anymore. Is that something deliberate?
  13. And this is what really makes the Palestinian movement even more hypocritical. Claiming to be oppressed, and then turn around the next second and justify China's concentration camps where China commits all manners of atrocities against Uyghur muslims. Palestinians joined ISIS as well, heading over to Iraq and indiscriminately killing Iraqis, sunni as well as shia Again, I'm not taking Israel's side here. But Israel being bad, doesn't justify supporting a death cult like Hamas or portraying the palestinian side as if they're innocent angels.
  14. That's the thing though. The iranian regime is an oppressive regime responsible for countless deaths in the muslim world. But, just because the iranian regime says some sweet words, you support a thug regime that goes against all tenets and teachings of Islam
  15. I mean, in socialism, all property belongs to the state, to the proletarian dictatorship. Any muslim who also believes in socialism, goes against Islam
  16. Yeah, sadly shias have become willing puppets of Ikhwanis and the Iranian regime. This goes against everything that Islam stands for
  17. Maybe we shias should stop being puppets of the Iranian regime
  18. Recently, I'm seeing a lot of muslims going woke, and saying ridiculous things like "Islam is compatible with Marxism" just because Islam has zakat. Everything that's about helping people, they associate with socialism. But it seems that these woke muslims only has a superficial understanding of marxist theory. At it's core, socialism hates religion and morality. Solzhenitsyn said it best But, what do you think? Do you think Islam is compatible with socialism?
  19. Yeah, this blatant double standard and supporting an atheist genocidal dictatorship, while at the same time glorifying a sunni death cult, is frankly pathetic. I can understand if it's salafists and pan-arabists having these standards and opinions. But shias? Any shia who worships Hamas and glorifies the palestinian movement, should rethink if he/she truly is a shia, a follower of the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام)
  20. As expected, the posters here regard any truth about Hamas as CIA or Saudi misinformation. And in their eyes, Hamas are "noble freedom fighters" and the Palestinians are" innocent angels". In Gaza television, they are openly praising Hitler and they openly wish Hitler had finished the job, and say that the Holocause was a good thing They're just twisting sullying the religion of Islam. Islam is about peace and love for your fellow man. But women in Gaza celebrate when their sons and daughters die. Hamas is a death cult in the same vein as ISIS. I see many people calling themselves Shias, who grovel at the feet of Hamas and other sunni death cults. And then have the audacity to call themselves followers of the Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام) What is so funny is that many of the same people crying about Palestine, will turn around the next second and justify China's genocide of Uyghur muslims
  21. There is plenty of proof that Hamas deliberately store their weapons and missiles in areas with large concentration of civilians. But blind supporters of Palestinians just think it's all CIA propaganda. Anything that casts palestinians in a negative light is "CIA propaganda" in their eyes and any fake news from Palestine is undisputed truth. There's no objectivity here And meanwhile, the leaders of Hamas lives in abundant luxury in Qatar. Again, I'm not defending Israel. But the way people here talk about the Palestinians as if they're innocent angels is kinda cringe and dishonest
  22. You guys are looking at Hamas through rose-tinted glasses. Hamas is using human shields, they're deliberately putting weapons and missiles inside schools, hospitals and kindergartens. Hamas is also digging their tunnels through areas with large concentration of civilians. Hamas is deliberately making Israel kill palestinian civilians. Of course, anything bad that Hamas does, you guys will say it's CIA propaganda. Again, I'm not defending Israel and Israel is not some angel themselves. But the way that completely look away from the crimes that Hamas does, is dishonest and ignorant The way I see it in this conflict, both sides have done very bad things and stupid mistakes. This conflict isn't as black-and-white as people wants to describe it
  23. A lot of people are blaming Israel for what's going on. Israel is bad, but currently, the biggest obstacle to peace is Hamas and Mahmoud Abbas. Until Palestinians get rid of Hamas and Mahmoud Abbas, they will never attain statehood. Sadly, many of my fellow shias just blindly supports Hamas and Abbas just because Khamenei does
  24. Well, I've been thinking about this a little bit. Shia-Sunni relations aren't the best right now, but on the other hand, Shia-Sunni marriages aren't uncommon either in places like Iraq and Lebanon. I've been talking to a sunni girl and we're really getting along well together, to the point of seriously discussing marriage. But one topic I haven't been willing to discuss a lot is the issue of how to raise the children, which I feel is a bit touchy subject. Considering I'm shia and she's sunni, I don't feel comfortable raising the children completely either way. Ideally, I'd like for my children to experience and learn both sunni and shia, and then let them decide themselves. But, what have your experiences been? How does shia-sunni couples in Iraq and Lebanon raise their children?
  25. Assalamu aleykum wa rahmatullah barakat In sunni islam, there are sunni hadiths out there saying things like, if you say 'subhan allah wa bihamdi' 100 times, your sins will be cleansed. Generally speaking, a lot of sunnis think that if you do some dua a couple of hundred times and give some money to zakat, your sins will go away, even if you've raped or killed someone, regardless of how grave your sins have been. What's the view of atonement in Shia? If someone has murdered or raped, how does that offender repent? Would be grateful if someone could enlighten me
