  2. Very well said... exactly my thoughts... Mashallah Regarding marriage ....i mean in a way it is predestined... but of course with choices... meaning that the person we end up chosing to marry and live our life together is the person Allah swt chose and predestined for us.... so in a way you are predestined to marry, love, and live with someone... but you have to make that choice in this life and put all your faith in Allah to help and guide you to make that choice.... so prayers help... but lets say you want to marry someone and you pray to Allah to help you but you end up marrying someone els

  4. Salaam, I also think its half-half. I read in some Islamic books (can't think of it right now), but both destiny and choice always work together. Although we have choices, Allah swt always knows what we will choose in the end. This doesn't mean we are predestined or our destiny is fixed. It just means for every choice we make there are infinite more choices out there for us, but those infinite choices/options are already predestined, meaning Allah swt already made those choices and then Allah just sets us free to see what we choose and do... I don't know if this makes sense...its like every
  5. Salaam I am just learning the shia way to pray. but I was wondering is my salat invalid if I continue to pray like sunni way? I ask that because didn't the prophet make his prayers different ways? And, if so, could I then pray like sunnis when i am with them and pray the shia way other times? What does shia source say on this? Many thanks in advance.
  6. Salaam Thanks for the information. I was looking for this...
  7. INFJ - The "Confidant" INFJs, making up an estimated 1% of all people, are the most rare type (males even more so). They are introspective, caring, sensitive, gentle and complex people that strive for peace and derive satisfaction from helping others. INFJs are highly intuitive, empathetic and dedicated listeners. These traits tend to act as a "tell me what's wrong" sign on their forehead, hence the nicknames Confidant, Counselor or Empath. INFJs are intensely private and deeply committed to their beliefs. salaam WHOAH! That's a scary test! portrait, typelogic, and the relationship sections a

  9. Salaam sister, I dont know what your situation is but I pray that you are able to resolve and/or find solution soon, inshaAllah. Sometimes it helps to talk about it and share it with people. In addition to praying, perhaps we can all help you find solutions? I hope all goes well...God Willing. You are in my prayers.
  10. Salaam :) Thank you sister. I will start on this... appreciate it..
  11. Salaam, :) I'm new here and have been reading up on Shia Islam. Could someone tell me how to make salat in Shia way? What are the main differences in prayer methods between Shia and Sunni Islam? All help is appreciated and many thanks in advance. m'salam
  12. My Interiority I wonder today if I know Him who speaks in my words, Who moves in my movement, Whose art is in my paintings, Whose music rings out in my songs In pleasure and sorrow and happiness Day after day in the varied space of my heart. I thought he was bound to me. All the laughter and tears of this heart Have bound him to all my work and my play. I thought this I was my own. It will flow down my life to end at my death. Why do I remember then in inexpressible delight At the touch and sight of my love, On the further shore of an unfathomable sea of happiness
