  1. I think I have been protected all my life from experiencing this kind of things or people :). Al7amdulillah. But, yes, its so common... :(

  2. LOL you are really funny! :)

  3. btw, you seem very knowledgeable in this sort of matters... :)

  4. That makes me sad :(

But, you are right, we should not take those people back! Thanks for your suggestions :).

  5. It IS funny! It's funny because I had a dream last week in which this guy (who has written some letters for me recently supposedly from TX) was working out! He was in a place where I was watching him exercising from the second floor and in his room the tv and radio were on and books scattered around him. He did not have a bed but a mattress in his room. It appeared as if his radio and tv are kept on 24/7 and he is pretty obsessed with his health and fitness routines. Anyhow, in the same dream, next thing I know my mother and I are at their place among many people and our mothers are plotting o
  6. Stop rambling.... It was GLOBAL and there are archaelogical (i.e., anthropological), geological, paleontological and not to mention theological and historical records! :)
  7. Salaam He should be more concerned of her past not the past of her father! Also, is the past of his own family and extended family members spotless? Perhaps she should also do some investigation on his family to make sure his ancestors don't have any past scars!
  8. I thought it was global but not sure... would like to know...
  9. I think I didn't understand the above link. Why does it appear that the above article attacks the researcher, Afriki, but doesn't actually provide sources to disprove Afriki's claim? The article mentions, "We will show you that Afriki tried to confuse people when he was trying to make them sign that dirty little loan. We spat out the mere idea of accepting this loan, and shall show you the devilish small print Afriki was hoping you wouldn't read." Does anybody know where they have "shown" whatever they are claiming here they will show? Could you please provide the link. Many thanks in advan
  10. I didn't know muta was a form of jihad or equivalent to jihad! I could've sworn I never saw any mention of it being a jihad in any scholarly shia religious literature I have consulted. I would like to learn more about this!! I may be wrong but it appears as though you are "blaming" the larger society for not promoting/accepting muta (a very Islamic practice)? If so, I wonder whether it would make sense to propagate muta once you have actually been able to change your society at the macro level, because otherwise it makes no sense to continue promoting it in an unchanged society (the world we
  11. (salam) There is a saying, you never know what you have until you lose it, and once you lose it, you can never get it back. However, I was wondering has anyone ever lost something (it can be person or thing or whatever you consider important in your life) in life and got it back? If you have lost something and it reappeared in your life, did you recognize that you were given a second chance? Did you recognize it as a blessing? If so, what did you do? Did you try to get it back or just let it go or repeat your past mistakes? And if you tried to get it back, have you gotten it back? I am

    Poison Tree

Poison Tree by William Blake I was angry with my friend: I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe; I told it not, my wrath did grow. And I water'd it in fears, Night & morning with my tears; And I sunned it with my smiles And with soft deceitful wiles. And it grew both day and night, Till it bore an apple bright; And my foe beheld it shine, And he knew that it was mine, And into my garden stole When the night had veil'd the pole: In the morning glad I see My foe outstretch'd beneath the tree.
  13. This thread is hilarious! I need a sex change so I can talk to myself! Because Friend (not frends) is a five letter word -- FIEND. :)
  14. I heard the other day from a man that some women are tri-polars! Good luck with your journey! :)
  15. Thanks. Liked yours as well. May I know what about my words made you emotional?

  16. salaam I find it amusing when Muslims take a Marxist and Weberian turn to religion (Islam)!
  17. Salaam Seeing Imam Ali (as) (and/or other imams and prophets) in a dream has its own separate meaning, and the context of the dream has another (and possibly) several other meanings, and the following is just one of the meanings. It means a country (i.e., possibly the country you live in) will establish some appropriate (i.e. just) laws and regulations and hold some people accountable for some injustices occurred in that country and punish them (which is why Imam Ali (as) did not help the man drowning and the thought of him doing the right or best thing passed through). Allahu 3alem. It wou
  18. I think that is not entirely true. What do you mean by "westernized?" A closer examination of "back home" people from South Asia to Middle East to Africa in anthropological and sociological (and those who study culture and people) writings demonstrates otherwise. peace
  19. Salaam You don't need to worry about these things when you are in love with GOD! :)
