Men just want to live their lives in peace and get along, women on the other hand...

shiasoldier786 got a reaction from Mightyservant in Do you think hijab should be forced upon women
Where do you draw the line? First they'll come for hijab. Next, they will say women should be allowed mini skirts, than bikinis, than maybe they will ask for nude beaches.
Im glad the Ulema in Iran are steadfast in this matter and have ensured that Iran maintains its dignity and islamic image, and doesnt end up like western countries where women are simply looked at as objects.

shiasoldier786 got a reaction from Northwest in Hazaras Prefer Nato Over The Taliban?
Hazaras should arm themselves and look for ways to protect themselves rather than begging the NATO to stay.

shiasoldier786 got a reaction from Northwest in Muslim Brotherhood Betrayed?
I'm not fan of The Brotherhood, but their biggest mistake was to share power with the army, fully knowing that the generals were much powerful than them. During the height of initial protests, they should't have just called for the end of mubarak, but also the mubarak appointed generals, ministries and judiciary. Most of the secular crowd would have supported them to rid Egypt completely of the old regime. The Army would start defecting and the generals would eventually have to flee. But the Brotherhood were too cowardly, so they made a deal with the generals. Its a lose-lose situation for Egypt anyways. The Brotherhood and the Army are both as bad as the other.

Do you think clothes should be forced upon people like in the west (why do people get arrested for not wearing any clothes in the west?)

Dumbest thing I ever believed as a child, was that one day, maybe just one day, Liverpool would win the premier league.

shiasoldier786 got a reaction from AmirioTheMuzzy in Obama's Iranophobia
“the threat of Iran is real and is great. And my goal as president will be to eliminate it. Ending the war in Iraq will be, I believe, an important step towards achieving that goal, because it will give us increased flexibility in our dealings with Iran and increased legitimacy in the region.”
havent they been trying to do so for the last 30 years?
does the dumbass know that the shiite dominated government in iraq is mainly made of iranian exiles?

First they'll ask that Iranians stop saying 'marg bar amerika'. Than they ll say Iran should stop developing its missiles. Than they ll ask Iran to stop helping the oppressed in the world. So where exactly do you draw the line?
You think if Iranians stop the slogan the media will change its portrayal of Iran as the enemy. They will simply move on the next thing. 'Why are Iranians deveoping ICBM's'? 'Why are they supporting Hezbollah'? We can never please these people, and we all know it.

Here is the thing. When Imam Ali defeated Ayesha in the battle of Jamal, what did he do? He had the chance to chop off her head, but did he do that?
What Iran are doing right now is simply following the path of Imam Ali when it comes to shia-sunni unity and looking at the wider picture. I am just as furious as you are about the injustices that the ahlul bayt faced, but Imam Ali showed us the path to follow. If we consider him our leader, surely we should be following the same path
When it comes to intra-shia unity, most of the abuse has been coming from the side opposed to Iran. Have you heard what Mujtaba Shirazi, Yasir Habib & Tawhidi are saying about the leadership? On the other hand, Sadeq Shirazi is even allowed to preach in Iran. So which side is really pro unity?

This part of Ammars speech I was truely dissapointed in.
Lets not forget, the British/US govts toppled musadeqs elected govt, re-installed the Shah, stole Iranian wealth, funded Saddams war- causing millions of death, imposed unjust sanctions, and the list of injustices goes on. And you wonder why they chant this slogan? They are absolutely well justified to- irrsepective of what anyone in the world thinks. Let them criticize the injustice the west has brough upon Iran over the past century first, before questioning the slogan.

Agree with most of this video, but cummon, you just cant compare Ammar with the rest of these lunatics.
Maybe out of emotions, Ammar has said more than he should about the first 3 calips in public, like the example given above. He's otherwise pro-unity for most part, but at the same time, doesnt mean that we dont discuss history at all or not scrutinize the actions of the caliphs or Ayesha.

shiasoldier786 got a reaction from Ralvi in Iranian Government Stocking Up On Food
The 'mullahs' are in power, because 95% of the population voted for an Islamic State when they had a referendum after the Revolution. The 'liberty vs security' comparison is more applicable in countries like US, which exaggerates the 'terror threat' and than gets away with taking peoples liberty more and more, under the guise of national security.

shiasoldier786 got a reaction from Mohammed-Mehdi in What do think about demonstrations in Iran
To put things into perspective, over 100k people marched through the streets of London on Saturday against the Govts Brexit plan... yet this hasnt made as much international headlines as Iran, nor is there talk of regime change in Britain as a result of this. Why? Why obsession with a few hundred protestors in Iran?
