    zainabia got a reaction from Zavon in 12 Facts About Fabricated Fast Of Ashura
    Bani Umayyah (Umayad) forced people to celebrate the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram) as a blessed day, and encouraged people to buy and store their annual food on that day and to fast that day as Sunnah, by fabricating traditions in this regard which were solely designed to overshadow and to cover up the great catastrophe of the slaughtering the household of Prophet
    (PBUH&HF).

    To make people believe that Ashura is a blessed day, day fabricated that it was in that day when Allah saved Bani Israel from Pharaoh. this is while Moses (as) and his companions were saved and passed the Nile river in the month of Rabiul-Awwal.

    They also invented that the repentance of Adam was accepted on that day, while it was accepted in the month of Zil-Hajjah. They say that it was the day that Jonah (Yunos) was saved from the body of fish and the ark of Noah was settled on earth while it was on the 18th of Zil-Hajjah. All those traditions were fabricated By Bani Umayyah to cover their crimes.

    But scientific research caught their different lies. Shukar al-Hamdolillah.

    Let us first read this fabricated tradition:

    First Version:
    Sahih Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 202:
    Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."
    Second Version:
    Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 31:
    Narrated Aisha: During the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance the Quraish used to observe fasting on the day of 'Ashura',  and the Prophet himself used to observe fasting on it (ashura) too. But when he came to Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered the Muslims to fast on it. When (the order of compulsory fasting in ) Ramadan was revealed, fasting in Ramadan became an obligation, and fasting on 'Ashura' was given up, and whoever wished to fast (on it) did so, and whoever did not wish to fast on it, did not fast.
    Post Mortem of this Fabricated TraditionIt is very difficult to tell a perfect lie. There are always “Contradictions” when you tell a lie. Same happened in this case where one paid fool of Bani Umayyah fabricated that Prophet (saw) started it due to Bani Israel, while other fool linked it to the Period of ignorance.
      We all know why we celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (day of sacrifice of Hadhrat Ismael), why we celebrate Ramadhan (Quran tells (Verse 2:185) that the month of Ramazan is that in which the Quran was revealed).
    But why then ‘Aisha was so much ignorant about the incident of Bani Israel & Moses?
    The tradition claims that Prophet & Sahaba were constantly observing the fast of ‘Ashura during full 10 years of Prophet’s life in Madina, so there is absolutely no logical reason as to why ‘Aisha was ignorant of this.
      Moreover, why was Prophet following the Custom of days of Ignorance?
      There was NO Islamic Calendar during Prophet (saw) era. But there was Arabic Calendar. It was the Era of Umar Ibn Khattab, where proposal came about Islamic Calendar. Ali Ibn Abi Talib recommended to start Islamic Calendar with the 1st of Muharram of the year when Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina.
      But on 1st of Muharram of Islamic Calendar, Prophet Muhammad (saw) was still in Mecca. All agree that Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina long after it in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. (After Muharram comes the month of “Saffar” and then the month of “Rabi-ul-Awwal”).
    (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 245: …. (when Prophet reached Madina) So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah's Apostle on the summit of Harra. The Prophet turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani 'Amr bin 'Auf, and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal.)
    Therefore, it was impossible that Prophet (saw) had seen Jews fasting on Ashura at his arrival to Madina. This proves this story to be totally fabricated one.
      Moreover, the modern scientific study of Jewish Scriptures also reveals that people who fabricated this tradition were telling a blatant lie.
    Do the Jews fast on the day when Bani Israel were saved by Allah? No, it is a blatant lie. Jews don’t have absolutely any Fasting day for this event.
    Here is the List of days when Jews Fast.
    http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Fast_Days/fast_days.html
      The next lame excuse by Modern Apologists of this fabricated tradition is to claim that it refers to jewish “Yom Kippur” which happened on 10th of Tishri month of Jews.
    Once again, this claim is without any proof and totally wrong.
    First contradiction is this that the 10th of Tishri has nothing to do with saving of Bani Israel from Pharoah, but it  is the day the children of Israel paid atonement for worshipping the calf when Prophet Moses and some companions went to Mount Sinai. As a result of this incident, the Jews fast on the 10t of Tishri.
    Secondly, scientific research shows that 10th Tishri was months away from 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year.
    Here are two Scientific Tools for you to calculate it yourself.
    Gregorian-Hijri Dates Converter (Online Link)
    Hebrew Date Converter (Online Link)
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (+ One day Error) [link]
    * 10th of Tishri, 4383 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 23 September 622 C.E. (+10 days error) [link]
    As you can see both of them months away with each other and there is no chance that they correspond to each other in that year.
      The Apologists of this fabricated Tradition further make a lame excuse that perhaps Prophet (saw) didn’t see Jews in the first year of his arrival, but in later coming years.
    But this excuse is also contradicting the facts.
    Fact is this that Fast of Ramadhan became obligatory in 2nd year after migration (See Tafsir of Verse 2:185 where all Muffasirrin of Quran agree upon it that this verse about Ramadhan fasting was revealed in year 2 A.H.).
    But the only time the 10th of Tishri corresponded to the 10th of Muharram was in the 29th year after Hijra (i.e. not even in life Time of Prophet Muhammad (saw)).
      Another problem with 10th Tishri assumption is this that the  month in which God delivered the Israelites from Pharaoh was month of Abib (i.e. modern Nissan), as the Bible clearly says: "Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night." (Deut., 16:1).
    And it is also impossible that month of Abib corresponded with Month of Muharram of 1st or 2nd Year of Islamic Hijri Calendar.
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (1 day error) [link]
    * 10th of Abib, 4382 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 30 March 622 C.E. (10 days error) [link]
    You can see that there is the difference of months between them and in whole remaining life of Prophet (saw) in Madina, they never corresponded with each other.
    Note:
    Moreover, 10th of Abib (Nissan) is not even the day when Bani Israel departed from Egypt. Rather, the savior of the children of Israel occurred on the 15th of Nissan in the Jewish calendar and the 15th of Nissan in the 1st year of Hijra corresponded to the 23rd of Ramadan.
      Lame Excuse: The Jewish Calendar could have been “distorted” (Tehrif) after the death of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and thus Jewish Calendar is not reliable.
    Answer:
    No doubt that there were distortions in the “normal” Jewish scriptures.
    But as far as specifically the “Jewish Calendar” & the “Custom of Fasting” is concerned, then NO distortion has taken place in them after the advent of Islam, but both the Jewish Calendar & the Custom of Fasting stayed the same since advent of Islam.
    Actually they stayed same “centuries” before Islam. Here one Link about Jewish Calendar and another Link about short history of “Custom of Fasting”, while as far as Jewish Calendar is concerned, then there is absolutely no doubt that Jews were using this same Calendar centuries before Prophet Muhammad (saw). Therefore, if anyone claims that the “Jewish Calendar” and the “Custom of Fasting” have been distorted after 1st Hijri of Islamic Calendar, then such person is a plain stupid.
      The Truth: 10th of Muharram is a day of “sorrow” and “great calamities” for Jews too
    Subhan Allah! The truth is this that 10th of Muharram of 1st Hijri was not the day of “joy” for the Jews.
    But a big Surprise, that was the day of great calamities and sorrow for Jews too.
    “Tisha B'Av” is also a fasting day of Jews on 9th of the Jewish month Av.
    Strange thing is this that this Tisha B'Av corresponded perfectly to the 10th of Muharram of 1st & 2nd Hijri of Islamic Calendar.
    1. 10th muharram of muslim is equivalent to Sunday 25 July 622 C.E. (+1 day error according to Islamic Software maker). (Link).
    2.  9th of Av, 4382 of jewish Calendar is equivalent to Sunday 25 July 622 C.E (Link).

    Tisha B'Av: The “Saddest day in Jewish History”
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tisha_B%27Av
    The fast commemorates the destruction of both the First Temple and Second Temple in Jerusalem, which occurred about 655 years apart, but on the same Hebrew calendar date. Although primarily meant to commemorate the destruction of the Temples, it is also considered appropriate to commemorate other Jewish tragedies that occurred on this day, most notably the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, one of the concluding events of the Iberian Reconquista. Accordingly, the day has been called the "saddest day in Jewish history".....

    Note:
    Another very strange thing is this that Jeremiah (see Jer. 52:12–13) dates the destruction of the First Temple to the tenth of Av (52:12ff.), while there is, however, no biblical witness for the ninth.

    Subhan Allah!
    Allah is the greatest.
    [Quran 3:54] But they (the unbelievers) contrived a plot, and God did the like; and God's plan is the best.
      Was Prophet sad upon killing of Hussain or happy like Bani Umayyah & Present day Nasibies?
    O Muslims!
    Do you remember what your Prophet (saw) advised you about his family (Ahl al-Bayt)? Following tradition of Sahih Muslim is telling that Prophet (saw) advised the Ummah "3 Times" to look how they behave with his Ahl al-Bayt after him.

    Sahih Muslim, Kitab fada'il al-Sahabah:
    O people, I am only a human being and I am about to respond to the messenger of my Lord [i.e. the call of death]. I am leaving behind Two Precious Things (Thaqalayn) among you. The first of the two is the Book of Allah. In it is guidance and light. So get hold of the Book of Allah and adhere to it." (The narrator, Zayd ibn al-Arqam said: Then he urged and motivated (us) regarding the Book of Allah . Then he said), "And my Ahl al-Bayt (family). I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt. I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt. I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt.

    But O Muslims! Just tell even after this advice of "3 times" still what happened to the beloved grandson Hussain of Prophet?

    Sunnan Ibn Majah, Kitab-ul-Fitn (Online Link for Original Arabic Version):
    Narrated by Alqamah from Abdullah bin Masood:
    One day we were sitting with Holy Prophet(s) when some children from the house of Bani Hashim came there. When the Holy Prophet(s) saw them, tears welled up in his eyes and he became pale. Ibn Masood said that he told the Holy Prophet(s) "Your face reflects anxiety".The Holy Prophet(s) stated:"Exalted God has granted us,the Ahlulbait, Hereafter instead of worldly pleasure. After me, soon my Ahlulbait will face calamity, hardship and misery till people having black flags will rise from East and seek justice,which will be denied them.They will wage war,they will be supported and will be given what they were demanding.They will not accept until it is handed over to one from our Ahlulbait (i.e. Mahdi) .He will fill the earth with justice as it was filled with injustice. Whoever amongst you is alive at that period, should try to reach them even if he has to tread on ince in that pursuit."
    (al-Sanadi wrote in commentary of Ibn Majah that this same tradition has also been recorded in Mustadrak of al-Hakim through another chain of Umar bin Qais -- Hakam --I braheem)

    Saudi Mufti, Al-Albaani records a ‘Sahih’ Hadith:

    Gabriel came to me and informed me that my Ummah will kill my son Hussain. I asked: ‘This Hussian?’. He (s) replied: ‘Yes’ he then brought me some of its soil that was red. Narrated by Umm al-Fadhal bint al-Harith that she went to the Holy Prophet (s) and said: ‘O Prophet (s), I have seen an unclear dream tonight’. He (s) asked: ‘What is it?’ She replied: ‘I saw that as if a part of your body was cut off from you and was placed upon my chest’. He (s) said: ‘You have seen something good. Inshallah Fatimah will bear a baby boy and he will be upon your chest.’ So Fatima gave birth to Hussain and he was on my chest as the Prophet (s) had notified me. On one day I went to the Holy Prophet (s) and put Hussain on his chest then he turned his face to the side and I witnessed his (s) eyes flowing with tears. I asked: “Prophet of Allah (s), may parents be sacrificed for you, what is wrong?” he (s) then mentioned it (the above hadith).
    Silsilah Al-Ahadith Al-Sahiyah, Volume 2 page 462 Hadith 821

    Witness of Ibn Abbas about mourning of Prophet for Hussain:

    Translation: “Abdullah bin Abbas narrates that he saw holy prophet (saw) while sleeping in afternoon, his hair were scattered, and full of dust, and he had a bottle filled with blood; I asked him: My parents be sacrificed for you, what is this? He replied: this is the blood of Hussain and his companions, I have been collecting it since day time. Narrator said that when we calculated, it was the day Hussain embraced martyrdom”.

    AUTHENTICATION OF THE NARRATION:
    - Sheikh Ahmad Shakir says:- chain is Sahih [musnad ahmad, researched by sheikh Ahmad Shakir, vol 4, page 26, narration 2165]
    - Imam Hakim says:- Sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim, though he did not write. Imam Dhahabi says:- Sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim [Mustadarak, with Talkhes of Dhahabi, vol 4, page 312, narration 8368, printed by qadeemi kutb khana, pakistan]

    Ali Ibn Abi Talib mourning for Hussain
    Masnad Imam Ahmad, 2/60:
    Abdullah Bin Naji narrates from his father who said : that he went with Ali  who was pure. When he passed Ninawa on his way to Siffin Ali called: Be patient Aba Abdillah,  be patient Aba Abdillah by ,the Euphrates river ,then I said: and why did you say? he said : Allah’s Prophet (saw) came to me some day and his eyes were overflowed with tears, I said: O Prophet of Allah did someone make you angry why are your eyes overflowing? He said: Jibraeel left me after he told me that Al Hussein asws will be killed by the Euphrates river. He said: do you want to smell some of his soil? I said: yes. He took some of the soil in his hand and gave it to and gave it to me then I could not hold back my tears and my eyes overflowed.
    Sheikh Ahmad Shakir says: Sanad Sahih
    This hadeeth has been authenticated by other scholars as well; like albani, haithmi etc

    Weeping of Skies and Jins upon killing of Hussain:
    Ummul Momineen Um Salma (ra) has also narrated as recorded by Imam Abi Bakar al-Haythami:

    عن أم سلمة قالت‏:‏ سمعت الجن تنوح على الحسين بن علي‏.‏ رواه الطبراني ورجاله رجال الصحيح‏.‏

    ”I heard the jinns mourning for Husayn ibn Ali’.

    zainabia got a reaction from Ron_Burgundy in Tarawih is actually BID'A.
    Dilwalla,
    Even if Matam is Biddah, but still this will not change the status of TARAWIH from Innovation of Dhalalah into Sunnah.
    Brother Syed, one of biggest reason of Tarawih being Innovation is the fact that:
    - They reffer Tarawih towards Rasool Allah (saw) that it is a Sunnah and Rasool offered it 3 Nights.
    While this is a white lie upon Rasool Allah (saw), as it is Absolutely not a Sunnah, as Rasool (saw) prayed TAHAJJUD Salat ( and not any Salah after Isha Prayer)
    - Secondly, Allah made it very clear in Quran to Rasool Allah (saw) that TAHAJJUD prayer is OBLIGATORY upon you, and this extra duty is only for you and not upon Ummah.
    Therefore, when Rasool Allah (saw) offered Tahajjud, it was with NIYYAH of "WAJIB QURBATAN ILIL Allah". And when Sahaba joined before him, they would have followed the same NIYYAH. And I believe, only therefore Rasool (saw) told them that he fears that Tahajjud may become obligatory upon them too.
    The Fatwas of 4 Imams about Jama'at for Tarawih
    - Thirdly, see the Bidah of Sunni Imams about Tarawih
    Hanafi fiq'h:
    According to Hanafi Fiq'h, it is Sunnat-e-Kafaya i.e. if some people offer it by Jama'at then the Jama'at does not remain compulsory for all.

    They are declaring such a thing to be Sunnat-e-Kafayat, which is not even a SIMPLE Sunnah of Rasool (saw) (i.e. Rasool (saw) never prayed any 20 or 8 Rakah Salah after Isha Prayer).

    Shafai and Hambali Fiq'h:
    They declare the Jama'at an Obligatory Sunnah for all.
    My Comments: They have also declared it Sunnat-e-Muwakkidah, only and only due to disease of Sahaba Worship.
    Maliki Fiq'h:
    They consider the Jama'at as Mustahab i.e. better but not an obligatory Sunnah.
    So brother Syed, you can see for yourself that these Sunni Imams are not entitiled to declare any thing to be SUNNAT -e- Muwakkidah, or Kifayyah etc. in ISLAMIC SHARIA.
    Hope this helps.

    I have read the Sermon 163 from Nehjul Balagha at www.al-islam.org, but the above mentioned things are not there.
    Here is the link;

    =====================
    Anyhow, lets see about what is reffered to Mawla Ali (as) on Wasila

    Shia do believe these things to be Wasila
    It is very strange that Nasibies quoting it against Shias in order to prove their point.
    Indeed Shias already do believe all these acts to be becoming our Waseela of salvation. Wahabies could have made such statement if we had ever denied these things to be our Wasila of Salvation.

    Result: Shias do not deny these things to be our WASILA. (and we strive hard to get these Wasilas).
    But We also believe the following thing to be Wasila too (while Wahabies deny them and making Halal Blessing of Allah to be Haram, which is Biddah of Misguidance):
    - Dua/Shafaat/Tabarukkat of Rasool Allah (saw) in our Favour is also best kind of Wasila, which increases the chance of acceptance of Duas to Allah.

    Allah says in Qur'an:
    وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذ ظَّلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ جَآؤُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ اللّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُواْ اللّهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا
    [Yusuf Ali 4:64] ...... If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.
    You see, indeed the Shafaat of Rasool Allah (saw) is also a Waseela for getting near Allah.
    Quran Mentioned One More Wasila, which Wahabies Deny
    Allah (swt) tells us that Angels and Prophets of lower Status are seeking the Wasila of those prophets and Angels who are heigher than them in Rank.
    أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَى رَبِّهِمُ الْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَهُ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورًا {57}
    [shakir 17:57] Those whom they call upon (i.e. Jesus, Marry, Angels etc.), themselves seek the means of access to their Lord-- whoever of them is nearest-- and they hope for His mercy and fear His chastisement;

    - Firstly, see that it is Quran which is confirming that these Prophets and Angels of heigher Rank are also Wasila of getting nearness to Allah.
    - Secondly, see that these both types of prophets (i.e. lower rank and heigher rank prophets) both have already passed away from this world. This means that alive or dead makes no difference.
    Note: Wahabies have tried their best to distort the translation of this verse. One Shia brother did comprehensive discussion on this verse and proved the Wahabi translation to be completely false.
    I have reproduced his arguments about this verse at:
    http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?sh...ic=49081&st=75#
    This is a challange to Wahabies to prove that their translation to be correct in light of these arguments.
    ================================

    Quran Confirms that Angels are also our Wasila, while they intercede us by the permission of Allah
    This again a type of Waseela, which Wahabies deny on the bases of their self made Tauheed.
    While Quran is very clear on this subject:
    وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيَرْضَى {26}
    [shakir 53:26] And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession does not avail at all except after Allah has given permission to whom He pleases and chooses.
    =================================
    Tabarukkat of Rasool Allah (saw) is also our Waseela in fullfilling our needs
    Again contrary to Shias, Wahabies again deny it to be Waseela.
    There are tens of Ahadith on this issue.
    I will post them tomorrow (and also answer to remaining allegations). Insha Allah. And then we ask Wahabies how dare they to not to include tabarrukat of Rasool Allah (saw) for not being included into Waseela.
    At moment I have to urgently need for my bed as I am not even able to type correctly at moment and 90% sleeping. :)

    Salam Alaikum
    If you could provide the Sanad then well and good.
    The formula 'Prayer is better than Sleep' in the Fajr Adhan was added not by Umar but by Bilal, *in the time of the Prophet,* as stated by Zuhri in Ibn Majahs Sunan and Said ibn Musayyab in Ahmads Musnad, and narrated with sound chains from Bilal by Ibn Majah and from Abdullah ibn Zayd by Ahmad, and Abu Madhara in Sunan Nasai.
    Zuhri in Ibn Majahs
    Under the name of Zuhri, you haven't given any hadith from Ibn Majah, but only the one from Sunan Al-Darim, as uder:
    It is also in Sunan Al Darimi:
    ‏ ‏أخبرنا ‏ ‏عثمان بن عمر بن فارس ‏ ‏حدثنا ‏ ‏يونس ‏ ‏عن ‏ ‏الزهري ‏ ‏عن ‏ ‏حفص بن عمر بن سعد المؤذن ‏ ‏أن ‏ ‏سعدا ‏ ‏كان يؤذن في ‏ ‏مسجد رسول الله ‏ ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏قال ‏ ‏حفص ‏ ‏حدثني ‏ ‏أهلي ‏
    ‏أن ‏ ‏بلالا ‏ ‏أتى رسول الله ‏ ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏يؤذنه لصلاة الفجر فقالوا إنه نائم فنادى ‏ ‏بلال ‏ ‏بأعلى صوته ‏ ‏الصلاة خير من النوم فأقرت في أذان صلاة الفجر ‏
    ‏قال ‏ ‏أبو محمد ‏ ‏يقال ‏ ‏سعد القرظ
    We will come back to Zuhri (and other narrators) soon that how relaiable they are.
    How can he say that Baihaqi has authenticated it (or how can Baihaqi authenticate it?
    Haven't you seen what Tirmidhi has to write about this particular hadith:

    Need I to say any more on the Standard of authentication by Bayhaqi? Off course, all these are Sunni Traditions and they can make any thing authentic or unauthentic. But Ahadith of Ahle Bait (as) confirm that it was Umar Ibn Khattab who started this practice.
    ===========
    We are not concerned about Shafi or Malik or Ahmad or Majority of Scholars (/Where has the claim of Ijma gone???), but Aima of Ahle Bait (as) confirming it to be a lie upon Rasool Allah (saw) and it was initiated only by Umar Ibn Khattab.
    ======================
    Had you seen in above pages correctly, you would have seen what has been written about this "Abi Mahdhora" by Ibn Hajar and Dhahabi, i.e. his Ahadith are Mahjhool and not able to take any Daleel from them.
    Again...... where has gone the Ijma???
    For me opinion of Aima of Ahle Bait (as) has much greater value against opinion of Malik or Ahmad ... etc.
    1) The author has not shown any deception. He presented the hadith of by Imam Tirmidhi.
    2) And it is Imam Tirmidhi who is making this so called Deception that Ibn Umar left mosque saying it Bidah.
    3) The saying of Zuhr and Asr prayer is against "AQL" (Dirayat). What was the reason of saying "Salat is better than SLEEP" in Zuhr and Asr? It clearly shows this hadith has been forged in order to give justification of actions of Ibn Umar.

    Well, I have to discuss a lot of more material about Umar Ibn Khattab, but not before getting any answer of above innovation.

    Our Salafi/Ahle Sunnah brothers cannot keep on neglecting this innovation of Umar (if they are True and really don't put Umar Ibn Khattab above the Sharia of Islam).

    zainabia got a reaction from Rightly Guided Benefactor in www.islamicweb.com on Mutta / Slave Woman
    Bismillah
    Salam Alaikum
    Introduction: www.islamicweb.com is an anti-Shia website. It has a very misleading article on Mutah and Nasibies quote this whole article everywhere.
    So, I thought it to be useful to give a proper answer to this article, and save it somewhere, so that whenever Nasibies quote this article, we have a "Readymade" answer to this.
    MODERATORS: I will also give this suggestion in "Suggestion" section, that we should be having a small "Article Section", where we add precise answers to these Nasibi articles.
    I hope and pray that this would be beneficial for Shia Nation, in order to defend the honour of Ahle-Bait (as). Amin.
    ========================
    This whole article on Mutah can be found at http://www.islamicweb.com/beliefs/cults/mutah_book.htm
    All of these allegations have already been answered in detail at:
    http://www.answering-ansar.org/answers/mutah/en/index.php
    But still, one part of their accusation has not been addressed in above mentioned article of AA. It is due to the reason that this part is concerned with "Status of Slave-Woman" in Shia Fiqh, but Nasibi Scholar has decieved the people by introducing it into Mutah Article,
    I am not going to answer full article here, as my Shia Brothers and Sisters know about reality of Mutta better than I. But I will touch only upon above mentioned part about "Status of Slave Woman".
    The Nasibi author presented following 3 traditions, in order to prove that Shia Fiqh doesn't have any respect for woman (and consider them only sex objects. Naudobillah).
    Nasibi Author writes:
    ANSWER
    Taken from www.answering-ansar.org
    Furuj:
    This is the disease of Literalism in Wahabies and filth in thier minds.
    I question if "Vigena" and "Chastity" are 2 different things (when reffered to women?)
    For example what does it mean if one says: "She lost her chastity"
    Need I to explain what it means? Both Chastity and Vigena are reffering to the same thing/action, but Chastity is a "Formal" way of describing this action/thing.
    This title of this chapter (which is given by Shia Ulama (i.e. not by Aima (as))) is "Aratul Furuj". The minds of Wahabies with filth in them compell them to go to "vigina", while spiritual meaning of this is how one woman can have contact with a man keeping her chastity and modesty.
    Note: "Furuj" doesn't mean "Vigena", but the exact translation is "Private Parts". So the Wahabi translation of "Loaning of Vigena" is only filth of thier mind.
    Aysha using the term "Furuj" openly in front of Men
    Allah (swt) says that Hiya is a very good thing but in matter of Deen one have to talk about things openly in order to make things clear.
    That'S why this word "Furuj" has been used extensively by Aisha in her Ahadith which she narrated to Men.
    See Sahih al Bukhari Volume 1, Book 5, Number 286

    Shooting stars appeared from the "Furuj" of Imam Shaafi's mother
    We are quoting this reference from the following three esteemed works of Ahl'ul Sunnah.
    1) Tareekh Baghdad Volume 2 page 59 Dhikr Muhammad bin Shaafi
    2) Seerath al Halabeeya Volume 1 page 92 Dhikr Muhammad 'ur Rasulullah
    3) Isma al Rijjal - Dhikr Imam Shaafi page 41

    "When our Imam Shaafi's mother was carrying him (in pregnancy) she saw a dream in which shooting stars were coming out of her Furuj, one fell in Egypt and then light encompassed all other cities. An interpreter of dreams told her and said 'Lady Khaleeda you shall give birth to a son whose knowledge shall reach Egypt in the first instance and then travel to all cities".
    Moreover, Nasibi Scholar wrote:
    Nasibies must look into their own fiqh/hadith books and they will find these same rulings in them too for the slave girl i.e.
    1) According to Wahabi Fiqh one can sell his slave girl even after having sexual pleasure with her.
    This hadith can be found many folds in Sahah Satta.
    Wahabies must open their eyes and think about the status of slave woman in their fiqh before claiming Mutta to be Zina.
    So according to Nasibi Scholar, one may have sex with a slave girl and then sell her to new master. i.e.
    1) Neither this slave girl has the permission to stop her master to do Sex with her
    2) Nor she has the right to stop her master to sell her to next master who can also have sexual pleasure with her.
    And still Nasibi issue this Fatwa is that it's better than Mutta, in which only after the will of woman, one can marry her.
    The people whose hearts don't have seals can judge the situation themselves and can decide the who is mad here.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Analysing these 3 traditions one by one
    If anyone read the traditions with open mind, then he would have reached to this conclusion that
    1) All of these traditions are talking ONLY about the slave woman.
    (Please read the whole article and you will see that Nasibi Scholar has written it in such decieving way that people think that this also belongs to Mutah)
    2) And all these rulings are also present in Sunni Fiqh.
    Let's see these traditions one by one.
    1st Traditon:
    So, it's better for Nasibies to check their own fiqh if it allows giving of your slave girls to your one of your brothers or not. It's better for you before slandering the others.
    2nd Tradition:
    Please take it as a challange to show us the Fatwa of any of your Wahabi Imam who has declared it haram. Otherwise I will show you from your Fiqh books the truth about slave women.
    3rd Tradition:
    Again it's a challange for Wahabies to bring us any Fatwa of your Wahabi Imam who says that such a person is a fornicator and must be stoned to death etc.
    Some Ahadith on Status of Slave Woman in Wahabi Fiqh
    Strange, Nasibies have objections upon the Status of Muttah Wife, and want to make it Halal of Allah by making this lame excuse. But they are unable to see status of slave-girl in their own Nasibi Fiqh.
    In order that they open their eyes, let me quote some of Ahadith:
    Next time I try to collect Fatawas from Sunni Fiqh books for those who want to learn (not for those who are enemies of Allah and start barking when Truth is shown to them).
    Was Salam.
    PS:
    ==
    Nasibies often try to abuse Mutta by claiming that it lowers the status of woman. The best way to counter this tactic is to show Nasibies the Status of slave-girl in their own Fiqh.
    Belive me that is the best answer for Nasibies, which bring them to keep their mouths shut. And till the time this counter attack is not made, it is impossible to stop them from propagating lies against us.
    zainabia got a reaction from Muslim2010 in 12 Facts About Fabricated Fast Of Ashura
    PART 2: SHIA TRADITIONS ABOUT FAST OF 'ASHURA
    Opponents quote 8 Shia Traditions about Fast of Ashura from this link. But once again this is a useless practice by them. Let us begin with Allah's help. Insha-Allah.
    1. None of the traditions above even  deal with  fast of Ashura due to "Passover" of Bani Israel (as has been mentioned in Sunni Traditions and which they believe) except for only ONE  Tradition (i.e. the tradition No. 5 in the link that posted above) which talks about fasting due to the "Passover" of Bani Israel.
    Traditions 1, 6 and 8 give absolutely no reason for the Fasting.
    Tradition 2 and 3 say it was due to "Atonement" and has nothing to do with with "happiness of Passover of Bani Israel". Same is the case with tradition 4 which is about fast of wild beasts.
    2. While the 7th Tradition is about fast on Ashura due to the sorrow of Hussain and Imam Abu `Abdillah  weeping for him. Here is the tradition:
    – Muhammad b. al-Hasan in al-Misbah from `Abdullah b. Sinan said: I entered upon Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام on the day of `Ashura [and I met him melancholic in color, sorrowful in appearance – in the masdar] and his tears were dropping upon his eyes like dripping pearls.  So I said: What is your crying from?  So he said: Are you in (a state of) heedlessness?  Do you not know that al-Husayn عليه السلام was afflicted in the like of this day?  So I said: What is your saying in regards to its fast?  So he said to me: Fast it without tabyeet (?), and break it without tashmeet (rejoicing at an enemies misfortune?), and do not make it a complete day of fasting, and your iftar is to be after the salat of `asr by an hour upon a drink of water, for verily in the like of that time from that day did the battle appear from the family of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم [- to the rest of the hadith]
    4. And lastly, the Scientific Fact about Fast of Ashura is undeniable. No Sunni or Shia tradition could deny it while it is like a "Universal Truth" that Bani Israel never fasted for "Passover" and this day of passover never  corresponded to 10th of Muharram in whole Madani life of Prophet (saw), but it was months away to 10th of Muharram in the 1st or 2nd Hijra year.
    The last nail in Nasibi CoffinThe 5th Tradition (which is the ONLY tradition which suits the opponents claim of passover of Bani Israel) is itself a weak tradition:
    عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ الْأَحْمَرِ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ لَزِقَتِ السَّفِينَةُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ فَأَمَرَ نُوحٌ ع مَنْ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ أَنْ يَصُومُوا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ وَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع أَ تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا الْيَوْمُ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي تَابَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِيهِ عَلَى آدَمَ وَ حَوَّاءَ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ الْبَحْرَ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَأَغْرَقَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَ مَنْ مَعَهُ وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي غَلَبَ فِيهِ مُوسَى ع فِرْعَوْنَ وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي وُلِدَ فِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي تَابَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ عَلَى قَوْمِ يُونُسَ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي وُلِدَ فِيهِ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي يَقُومُ فِيهِ الْقَائِمُ ع
    – And by his isnad from `Ali b. al-Hasan from Muhammad b. `Abdullah b. Zurara from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr from Aban b. `Uthman al-Ahmar from Kathir an-Nawa from Abu Ja`far عليه السلام.  He said: The ark adhere to al-Judi on the day of `Ashura, so Nuh عليه السلام commanded whoever was with him from the jinn and man to fast on that day.  Abu Ja`far عليه السلام said: Do you know what this day is?  This is the day in which Allah عز وجل forgave Adam and Hawa.  And this is the day in which the sea was split for the Children of Israel and Fir`awn and whoever was with him drowned.  And this is the day in which Musa عليه السلامdefeated Fir`awn.  And this is the day in which Ibrahim عليه السلام was born.  And this is the day in which Allah forgave the people of Yunus.  And this is the day in which `Isa b.     Grading:
    al-Majlisi said this hadeeth is Da`eef (Weak)
    --> Milaadh al-Akhyaar, vol. 7, pg. 116
    Reason for the weakening of this is one narrator Katheer al-Nawaa':
    كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ= Katheer al-Nawwaa', he is a Koofee and he is either an `Aami (Sunni) (per al-Bariq’s Rijāl) or a Zaydi Batriyya (per al-Ṭūsī’s Rijāl & al-Kashi’s Rijāl)
    Katheer has been heavily condemned. There is a SaHeeH hadeeth in al-Kashi's Rijaal, where Imaam al-Saadiq  does a du'aa and says he does "bara'a" from him in "this world and the next" (See: al-Kashi, al-Rijaal,pg. 242, hadeeth # 441).There is another hadeeth where Imaam al-Baaqir   says that Katheer al-Nawwaa' is "heavily astrayed" (See: al-Kashi's Rijaal, pg. 240, hadeeth # 439).
    Since this ḥadīth can be seen in Sunni books, and Katheer al-Nawwaa’ is said to be either Sunni or Zaydi, him being either of those two would probably be the reason why you see this type of narration coming from him.
    Even Sunnies consider themselves this tradition (which is found in their books) about Adam & Hawa & Arch & Ibrahim & Younus to be week.
    And lastly, as stated above, no Sunni or Shia tradition could deny the Scientific Proof that Jews never fasted on "passover" and this day never corresponded to 10th of Muharram during whole Madinian life of Prophet Muhammad (saw).
    Eid day of Ashura: The Conspiracy of Bani Umayyah and their supportersNajabah ibn Al Harith Al attar said I once asked Abu Jafar(as) about fasting on the day of ashura. He(the imam) said It is a discarded fast after the coming of Shahr Ramadan and what is discarded and abandoned is Heresy, Najabah then asked Abu Abdullah(as) after his father about it and he answered just like his father and then said “ it is a fast about which there is  not anything in the book or the established sunnah except the sunnah of the family of Ziyad for their murdering Al-Husayn Ibn Ali(as)Source- Al kafi(book of fasting part 2) chapter 14 hadith number 4
    Ayatollah Khui:
    1756. It is abominable to fast on Ashura (10th of Moharrum). It is also abominable to fast an the day about which it is not sure as to whether it is the day of Arafaa or Eidul qurban.
    Let us end this article with this tradition of Imam Abu Abddillah:
    – Muhammad b. al-Hasan in al-Misbah from `Abdullah b. Sinan said: I entered upon Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام on the day of `Ashura [and I met him melancholic in color, sorrowful in appearance – in the masdar] and his tears were dropping upon his eyes like dripping pearls.  So I said: What is your crying from?  So he said: Are you in (a state of) heedlessness?  Do you not know that al-Husayn عليه السلام was afflicted in the like of this day?  So I said: What is your saying in regards to its fast?  So he said to me: Fast it without tabyeet (?), and break it without tashmeet (rejoicing at an enemies misfortune?), and do not make it a complete day of fasting, and your iftar is to be after the salat of `asr by an hour upon a drink of water, for verily in the like of that time from that day did the battle appear from the family of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم [- to the rest of the hadith].
    Allahuma Sallay Allah Muhammad wa Aale Muhammad.
    Conclusion:1. Bani Umayyah were successful in bringing fabricated Traditions in Sunni Ahadith books, even their most Sahih books like of Bukhari & Muslim.
    2. And in Shia hatred, their opponents followed these fabricated traditions with blind eyes.
    3. In name of these fabricated traditions, they started denying/neglecting the Sunnah of Prophet (saw) i.e. his sorrow and his mourning the calamities of Hussain.
    4. In name of these Umayyad's fabricated traditions, they deny the sorrow of Ashura and want to replace it with Joy and Happiness and declare it Eid.
    5. Even if there was any fast of Atonemnet, still it is not contrary to showing sorrow of Hussain on 'Ashura (especially after it has been established that it was Sunnah of Prophet too). But Nasibies try to declare this sorrow Haram in name of this fabricated traditions by Umayyads and declare it a day of Joy and Happiness.
    1 – Ali bin al-Hassan bin Fadhal,  from Harun b. Muslim from Mas`ada b. Sadaqa from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام from his father that `Ali عليه السلامsaid: Fast on `Ashura, the ninth and the tenth, for verily it atones for the sins of a year.
    There is no Tawthiq for Mas`ada, unless you consider all the narrators of Tafsir al-Qummi Mawthuqin, and this not the famous opinion in the Madhab, thus countless scholars rule him as Majhul.
    But even if you go with al-Khoei and rule Mas`ada Thiqah, then the path of at-Tusi to Ali b. al-Hassan b. Fadhal is weak.
    محمد بن الحسن بإسناده عن علي بن الحسن بن فضال ، عن يعقوب بن يزيد ، عن أبي همام ، عن أبي الحسن ( عليه السلام ) قال : صام رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) يوم عاشوراء
    Again, the chain of at-Tusi to Ali b. al-Hassan b. Fadhal is weak.
    zainabia got a reaction from Muslim2010 in 12 Facts About Fabricated Fast Of Ashura
    Bani Umayyah (Umayad) forced people to celebrate the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram) as a blessed day, and encouraged people to buy and store their annual food on that day and to fast that day as Sunnah, by fabricating traditions in this regard which were solely designed to overshadow and to cover up the great catastrophe of the slaughtering the household of Prophet
    (PBUH&HF).
    To make people believe that Ashura is a blessed day, day fabricated that it was in that day when Allah saved Bani Israel from Pharaoh. this is while Moses (as) and his companions were saved and passed the Nile river in the month of Rabiul-Awwal.
    They also invented that the repentance of Adam was accepted on that day, while it was accepted in the month of Zil-Hajjah. They say that it was the day that Jonah (Yunos) was saved from the body of fish and the ark of Noah was settled on earth while it was on the 18th of Zil-Hajjah. All those traditions were fabricated By Bani Umayyah to cover their crimes.
    But scientific research caught their different lies. Shukar al-Hamdolillah.
    Let us first read this fabricated tradition:
    First Version:
    Sahih Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 202:
    Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."
    Second Version:
    Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 31:
    Narrated Aisha: During the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance the Quraish used to observe fasting on the day of 'Ashura',  and the Prophet himself used to observe fasting on it (ashura) too. But when he came to Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered the Muslims to fast on it. When (the order of compulsory fasting in ) Ramadan was revealed, fasting in Ramadan became an obligation, and fasting on 'Ashura' was given up, and whoever wished to fast (on it) did so, and whoever did not wish to fast on it, did not fast.
    Post Mortem of this Fabricated TraditionIt is very difficult to tell a perfect lie. There are always “Contradictions” when you tell a lie. Same happened in this case where one paid fool of Bani Umayyah fabricated that Prophet (saw) started it due to Bani Israel, while other fool linked it to the Period of ignorance.
      We all know why we celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (day of sacrifice of Hadhrat Ismael), why we celebrate Ramadhan (Quran tells (Verse 2:185) that the month of Ramazan is that in which the Quran was revealed).
    But why then ‘Aisha was so much ignorant about the incident of Bani Israel & Moses?
    The tradition claims that Prophet & Sahaba were constantly observing the fast of ‘Ashura during full 10 years of Prophet’s life in Madina, so there is absolutely no logical reason as to why ‘Aisha was ignorant of this.
      Moreover, why was Prophet following the Custom of days of Ignorance?
      There was NO Islamic Calendar during Prophet (saw) era. But there was Arabic Calendar. It was the Era of Umar Ibn Khattab, where proposal came about Islamic Calendar. Ali Ibn Abi Talib recommended to start Islamic Calendar with the 1st of Muharram of the year when Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina.
      But on 1st of Muharram of Islamic Calendar, Prophet Muhammad (saw) was still in Mecca. All agree that Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina long after it in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. (After Muharram comes the month of “Saffar” and then the month of “Rabi-ul-Awwal”).
    (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 245: …. (when Prophet reached Madina) So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah's Apostle on the summit of Harra. The Prophet turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani 'Amr bin 'Auf, and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal.)
    Therefore, it was impossible that Prophet (saw) had seen Jews fasting on Ashura at his arrival to Madina. This proves this story to be totally fabricated one.
      Moreover, the modern scientific study of Jewish Scriptures also reveals that people who fabricated this tradition were telling a blatant lie.
    Do the Jews fast on the day when Bani Israel were saved by Allah? No, it is a blatant lie. Jews don’t have absolutely any Fasting day for this event.
    Here is the List of days when Jews Fast.
    http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Fast_Days/fast_days.html
      The next lame excuse by Modern Apologists of this fabricated tradition is to claim that it refers to jewish “Yom Kippur” which happened on 10th of Tishri month of Jews.
    Once again, this claim is without any proof and totally wrong.
    First contradiction is this that the 10th of Tishri has nothing to do with saving of Bani Israel from Pharoah, but it  is the day the children of Israel paid atonement for worshipping the calf when Prophet Moses and some companions went to Mount Sinai. As a result of this incident, the Jews fast on the 10t of Tishri.
    Secondly, scientific research shows that 10th Tishri was months away from 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year.
    Here are two Scientific Tools for you to calculate it yourself.
    As you can see both of them months away with each other and there is no chance that they correspond to each other in that year.
      The Apologists of this fabricated Tradition further make a lame excuse that perhaps Prophet (saw) didn’t see Jews in the first year of his arrival, but in later coming years.
    But this excuse is also contradicting the facts.
    Fact is this that Fast of Ramadhan became obligatory in 2nd year after migration (See Tafsir of Verse 2:185 where all Muffasirrin of Quran agree upon it that this verse about Ramadhan fasting was revealed in year 2 A.H.).
    But the only time the 10th of Tishri corresponded to the 10th of Muharram was in the 29th year after Hijra (i.e. not even in life Time of Prophet Muhammad (saw)).
      Another problem with 10th Tishri assumption is this that the  month in which God delivered the Israelites from Pharaoh was month of Abib (i.e. modern Nissan), as the Bible clearly says: "Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night." (Deut., 16:1).
    And it is also impossible that month of Abib corresponded with Month of Muharram of 1st or 2nd Year of Islamic Hijri Calendar.
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (1 day error) [link]
    * 10th of Abib, 4382 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 30 March 622 C.E. (10 days error) [link]
    You can see that there is the difference of months between them and in whole remaining life of Prophet (saw) in Madina, they never corresponded with each other.
    Note:
    Moreover, 10th of Abib (Nissan) is not even the day when Bani Israel departed from Egypt. Rather, the savior of the children of Israel occurred on the 15th of Nissan in the Jewish calendar and the 15th of Nissan in the 1st year of Hijra corresponded to the 23rd of Ramadan.
      Lame Excuse: The Jewish Calendar could have been “distorted” (Tehrif) after the death of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and thus Jewish Calendar is not reliable.
    Answer:
    No doubt that there were distortions in the “normal” Jewish scriptures.
    But as far as specifically the “Jewish Calendar” & the “Custom of Fasting” is concerned, then NO distortion has taken place in them after the advent of Islam, but both the Jewish Calendar & the Custom of Fasting stayed the same since advent of Islam.
    Actually they stayed same “centuries” before Islam. Here one Link about Jewish Calendar and another Link about short history of “Custom of Fasting”, while as far as Jewish Calendar is concerned, then there is absolutely no doubt that Jews were using this same Calendar centuries before Prophet Muhammad (saw). Therefore, if anyone claims that the “Jewish Calendar” and the “Custom of Fasting” have been distorted after 1st Hijri of Islamic Calendar, then such person is a plain stupid.
      The Truth: 10th of Muharram is a day of “sorrow” and “great calamities” for Jews too
    Subhan Allah! The truth is this that 10th of Muharram of 1st Hijri was not the day of “joy” for the Jews.
    But a big Surprise, that was the day of great calamities and sorrow for Jews too.
    “Tisha B'Av” is also a fasting day of Jews on 9th of the Jewish month Av.
    Strange thing is this that this Tisha B'Av corresponded perfectly to the 10th of Muharram of 1st & 2nd Hijri of Islamic Calendar.
    1. 10th muharram of muslim is equivalent to Sunday 25 July 622 C.E. (+1 day error according to Islamic Software maker). (Link).
    2.  9th of Av, 4382 of jewish Calendar is equivalent to Sunday 25 July 622 C.E (Link).
    Tisha B'Av: The “Saddest day in Jewish History”
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tisha_B%27Av
    The fast commemorates the destruction of both the First Temple and Second Temple in Jerusalem, which occurred about 655 years apart, but on the same Hebrew calendar date. Although primarily meant to commemorate the destruction of the Temples, it is also considered appropriate to commemorate other Jewish tragedies that occurred on this day, most notably the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, one of the concluding events of the Iberian Reconquista. Accordingly, the day has been called the "saddest day in Jewish history".....
    Note:
    Another very strange thing is this that Jeremiah (see Jer. 52:12–13) dates the destruction of the First Temple to the tenth of Av (52:12ff.), while there is, however, no biblical witness for the ninth.
    Subhan Allah!
      Was Prophet sad upon killing of Hussain or happy like Bani Umayyah & Present day Nasibies?
    O Muslims!
    Do you remember what your Prophet (saw) advised you about his family (Ahl al-Bayt)? Following tradition of Sahih Muslim is telling that Prophet (saw) advised the Ummah "3 Times" to look how they behave with his Ahl al-Bayt after him.
    Sahih Muslim, Kitab fada'il al-Sahabah:
    O people, I am only a human being and I am about to respond to the messenger of my Lord [i.e. the call of death]. I am leaving behind Two Precious Things (Thaqalayn) among you. The first of the two is the Book of Allah. In it is guidance and light. So get hold of the Book of Allah and adhere to it." (The narrator, Zayd ibn al-Arqam said: Then he urged and motivated (us) regarding the Book of Allah . Then he said), "And my Ahl al-Bayt (family). I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt. I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt. I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt.
    But O Muslims! Just tell even after this advice of "3 times" still what happened to the beloved grandson Hussain of Prophet?
    Sunnan Ibn Majah, Kitab-ul-Fitn (Online Link for Original Arabic Version):
    Narrated by Alqamah from Abdullah bin Masood:
    One day we were sitting with Holy Prophet(s) when some children from the house of Bani Hashim came there. When the Holy Prophet(s) saw them, tears welled up in his eyes and he became pale. Ibn Masood said that he told the Holy Prophet(s) "Your face reflects anxiety".The Holy Prophet(s) stated:"Exalted God has granted us,the Ahlulbait, Hereafter instead of worldly pleasure. After me, soon my Ahlulbait will face calamity, hardship and misery till people having black flags will rise from East and seek justice,which will be denied them.They will wage war,they will be supported and will be given what they were demanding.They will not accept until it is handed over to one from our Ahlulbait (i.e. Mahdi) .He will fill the earth with justice as it was filled with injustice. Whoever amongst you is alive at that period, should try to reach them even if he has to tread on ince in that pursuit."
    (al-Sanadi wrote in commentary of Ibn Majah that this same tradition has also been recorded in Mustadrak of al-Hakim through another chain of Umar bin Qais -- Hakam --I braheem)
    Saudi Mufti, Al-Albaani records a ‘Sahih’ Hadith:
    Gabriel came to me and informed me that my Ummah will kill my son Hussain. I asked: ‘This Hussian?’. He (s) replied: ‘Yes’ he then brought me some of its soil that was red. Narrated by Umm al-Fadhal bint al-Harith that she went to the Holy Prophet (s) and said: ‘O Prophet (s), I have seen an unclear dream tonight’. He (s) asked: ‘What is it?’ She replied: ‘I saw that as if a part of your body was cut off from you and was placed upon my chest’. He (s) said: ‘You have seen something good. Inshallah Fatimah will bear a baby boy and he will be upon your chest.’ So Fatima gave birth to Hussain and he was on my chest as the Prophet (s) had notified me. On one day I went to the Holy Prophet (s) and put Hussain on his chest then he turned his face to the side and I witnessed his (s) eyes flowing with tears. I asked: “Prophet of Allah (s), may parents be sacrificed for you, what is wrong?” he (s) then mentioned it (the above hadith).
    Translation: “Abdullah bin Abbas narrates that he saw holy prophet (saw) while sleeping in afternoon, his hair were scattered, and full of dust, and he had a bottle filled with blood; I asked him: My parents be sacrificed for you, what is this? He said: Jibraeel left me after he told me that Al Hussein asws will be killed by the Euphrates river. He said: do you want to smell some of his soil? I said: yes.     zainabia got a reaction from insearchoflight in 12 Facts About Fabricated Fast Of Ashura
    Bani Umayyah (Umayad) forced people to celebrate the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram) as a blessed day, and encouraged people to buy and store their annual food on that day and to fast that day as Sunnah, by fabricating traditions in this regard which were solely designed to overshadow and to cover up the great catastrophe of the slaughtering the household of Prophet
    (PBUH&HF).
    To make people believe that Ashura is a blessed day, day fabricated that it was in that day when Allah saved Bani Israel from Pharaoh. this is while Moses (as) and his companions were saved and passed the Nile river in the month of Rabiul-Awwal.
    They also invented that the repentance of Adam was accepted on that day, while it was accepted in the month of Zil-Hajjah. They say that it was the day that Jonah (Yunos) was saved from the body of fish and the ark of Noah was settled on earth while it was on the 18th of Zil-Hajjah. All those traditions were fabricated By Bani Umayyah to cover their crimes.
    But scientific research caught their different lies. Shukar al-Hamdolillah.
    Let us first read this fabricated tradition:
    First Version:
    Sahih Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 202:
    Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."
    Second Version:
    Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 31:
    Narrated Aisha: During the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance the Quraish used to observe fasting on the day of 'Ashura',  and the Prophet himself used to observe fasting on it (ashura) too. But when he came to Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered the Muslims to fast on it. When (the order of compulsory fasting in ) Ramadan was revealed, fasting in Ramadan became an obligation, and fasting on 'Ashura' was given up, and whoever wished to fast (on it) did so, and whoever did not wish to fast on it, did not fast.
    Post Mortem of this Fabricated TraditionIt is very difficult to tell a perfect lie. There are always “Contradictions” when you tell a lie. Same happened in this case where one paid fool of Bani Umayyah fabricated that Prophet (saw) started it due to Bani Israel, while other fool linked it to the Period of ignorance.
      We all know why we celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (day of sacrifice of Hadhrat Ismael), why we celebrate Ramadhan (Quran tells (Verse 2:185) that the month of Ramazan is that in which the Quran was revealed).
    But why then ‘Aisha was so much ignorant about the incident of Bani Israel & Moses?
    The tradition claims that Prophet & Sahaba were constantly observing the fast of ‘Ashura during full 10 years of Prophet’s life in Madina, so there is absolutely no logical reason as to why ‘Aisha was ignorant of this.
      Moreover, why was Prophet following the Custom of days of Ignorance?
      There was NO Islamic Calendar during Prophet (saw) era. But there was Arabic Calendar. It was the Era of Umar Ibn Khattab, where proposal came about Islamic Calendar. Ali Ibn Abi Talib recommended to start Islamic Calendar with the 1st of Muharram of the year when Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina.
      But on 1st of Muharram of Islamic Calendar, Prophet Muhammad (saw) was still in Mecca. All agree that Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina long after it in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. (After Muharram comes the month of “Saffar” and then the month of “Rabi-ul-Awwal”).
    (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 245: …. (when Prophet reached Madina) So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah's Apostle on the summit of Harra. The Prophet turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani 'Amr bin 'Auf, and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal.)
    Therefore, it was impossible that Prophet (saw) had seen Jews fasting on Ashura at his arrival to Madina. This proves this story to be totally fabricated one.
      Moreover, the modern scientific study of Jewish Scriptures also reveals that people who fabricated this tradition were telling a blatant lie.
    Do the Jews fast on the day when Bani Israel were saved by Allah? No, it is a blatant lie. Jews don’t have absolutely any Fasting day for this event.
    Here is the List of days when Jews Fast.
    http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Fast_Days/fast_days.html
      The next lame excuse by Modern Apologists of this fabricated tradition is to claim that it refers to jewish “Yom Kippur” which happened on 10th of Tishri month of Jews.
    Once again, this claim is without any proof and totally wrong.
    First contradiction is this that the 10th of Tishri has nothing to do with saving of Bani Israel from Pharoah, but it  is the day the children of Israel paid atonement for worshipping the calf when Prophet Moses and some companions went to Mount Sinai. As a result of this incident, the Jews fast on the 10t of Tishri.
    Secondly, scientific research shows that 10th Tishri was months away from 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year.
    Here are two Scientific Tools for you to calculate it yourself.
    Gregorian-Hijri Dates Converter (Online Link)
    Hebrew Date Converter (Online Link)
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (+ One day Error) [link]
    * 10th of Tishri, 4383 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 23 September 622 C.E. (+10 days error) [link]
    As you can see both of them months away with each other and there is no chance that they correspond to each other in that year.
      The Apologists of this fabricated Tradition further make a lame excuse that perhaps Prophet (saw) didn’t see Jews in the first year of his arrival, but in later coming years.
    But this excuse is also contradicting the facts.
    Fact is this that Fast of Ramadhan became obligatory in 2nd year after migration (See Tafsir of Verse 2:185 where all Muffasirrin of Quran agree upon it that this verse about Ramadhan fasting was revealed in year 2 A.H.).
    But the only time the 10th of Tishri corresponded to the 10th of Muharram was in the 29th year after Hijra (i.e. not even in life Time of Prophet Muhammad (saw)).
      Another problem with 10th Tishri assumption is this that the  month in which God delivered the Israelites from Pharaoh was month of Abib (i.e. modern Nissan), as the Bible clearly says: "Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night." (Deut., 16:1).
    And it is also impossible that month of Abib corresponded with Month of Muharram of 1st or 2nd Year of Islamic Hijri Calendar.
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (1 day error) [link]
    * 10th of Abib, 4382 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 30 March 622 C.E. (10 days error) [link]
    You can see that there is the difference of months between them and in whole remaining life of Prophet (saw) in Madina, they never corresponded with each other.
    Note:
    Moreover, 10th of Abib (Nissan) is not even the day when Bani Israel departed from Egypt. Rather, the savior of the children of Israel occurred on the 15th of Nissan in the Jewish calendar and the 15th of Nissan in the 1st year of Hijra corresponded to the 23rd of Ramadan.
      Lame Excuse: The Jewish Calendar could have been “distorted” (Tehrif) after the death of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and thus Jewish Calendar is not reliable.
    Answer:
    No doubt that there were distortions in the “normal” Jewish scriptures.
    But a big Surprise, that was the day of great calamities and sorrow for Jews too.
    Strange thing is this that this Tisha B'Av corresponded perfectly to the 10th of Muharram of 1st & 2nd Hijri of Islamic Calendar.
    PART 2: SHIA TRADITIONS ABOUT FAST OF 'ASHURA
    Opponents quote 8 Shia Traditions about Fast of Ashura from this link. But once again this is a useless practice by them. Let us begin with Allah's help. Insha-Allah.
    1. None of the traditions above even  deal with  fast of Ashura due to "Passover" of Bani Israel (as has been mentioned in Sunni Traditions and which they believe) except for only ONE  Tradition (i.e. the tradition No. 5 in the link that posted above) which talks about fasting due to the "Passover" of Bani Israel.
    Traditions 1, 6 and 8 give absolutely no reason for the Fasting.
    Tradition 2 and 3 say it was due to "Atonement" and has nothing to do with with "happiness of Passover of Bani Israel". Same is the case with tradition 4 which is about fast of wild beasts.
    2. While the 7th Tradition is about fast on Ashura due to the sorrow of Hussain and Imam Abu `Abdillah  weeping for him. Here is the tradition:
    – Muhammad b. al-Hasan in al-Misbah from `Abdullah b. Sinan said: I entered upon Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام on the day of `Ashura [and I met him melancholic in color, sorrowful in appearance – in the masdar] and his tears were dropping upon his eyes like dripping pearls.  So I said: What is your crying from?  So he said: Are you in (a state of) heedlessness?  Do you not know that al-Husayn عليه السلام was afflicted in the like of this day?  So I said: What is your saying in regards to its fast?  So he said to me: Fast it without tabyeet (?), and break it without tashmeet (rejoicing at an enemies misfortune?), and do not make it a complete day of fasting, and your iftar is to be after the salat of `asr by an hour upon a drink of water, for verily in the like of that time from that day did the battle appear from the family of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم [- to the rest of the hadith]
    4. And lastly, the Scientific Fact about Fast of Ashura is undeniable. No Sunni or Shia tradition could deny it while it is like a "Universal Truth" that Bani Israel never fasted for "Passover" and this day of passover never  corresponded to 10th of Muharram in whole Madani life of Prophet (saw), but it was months away to 10th of Muharram in the 1st or 2nd Hijra year.
    The last nail in Nasibi CoffinThe 5th Tradition (which is the ONLY tradition which suits the opponents claim of passover of Bani Israel) is itself a weak tradition:
    عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ الْأَحْمَرِ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ لَزِقَتِ السَّفِينَةُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ فَأَمَرَ نُوحٌ ع مَنْ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ أَنْ يَصُومُوا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ وَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع أَ تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا الْيَوْمُ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي تَابَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِيهِ عَلَى آدَمَ وَ حَوَّاءَ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ الْبَحْرَ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَأَغْرَقَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَ مَنْ مَعَهُ وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي غَلَبَ فِيهِ مُوسَى ع فِرْعَوْنَ وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي وُلِدَ فِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي تَابَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ عَلَى قَوْمِ يُونُسَ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي وُلِدَ فِيهِ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ع وَ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي يَقُومُ فِيهِ الْقَائِمُ ع
    – And by his isnad from `Ali b. al-Hasan from Muhammad b. `Abdullah b. Zurara from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr from Aban b. `Uthman al-Ahmar from Kathir an-Nawa from Abu Ja`far عليه السلام.  He said: The ark adhere to al-Judi on the day of `Ashura, so Nuh عليه السلام commanded whoever was with him from the jinn and man to fast on that day.  Abu Ja`far عليه السلام said: Do you know what this day is?  This is the day in which Allah عز وجل forgave Adam and Hawa.  And this is the day in which the sea was split for the Children of Israel and Fir`awn and whoever was with him drowned.  And this is the day in which Musa عليه السلامdefeated Fir`awn.  And this is the day in which Ibrahim عليه السلام was born.  And this is the day in which Allah forgave the people of Yunus.  And this is the day in which `Isa b. Maryam عليه السلام was born.  And this is the day in which the Qa’im عليه السلام will rise.
    Grading:
    al-Majlisi said this hadeeth is Da`eef (Weak)
    --> Milaadh al-Akhyaar, vol. 7, pg. 116
    Reason for the weakening of this is one narrator Katheer al-Nawaa':
    كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ= Katheer al-Nawwaa', he is a Koofee and he is either an `Aami (Sunni) (per al-Bariq’s Rijāl) or a Zaydi Batriyya (per al-Ṭūsī’s Rijāl & al-Kashi’s Rijāl)
    Katheer has been heavily condemned. There is a SaHeeH hadeeth in al-Kashi's Rijaal, where Imaam al-Saadiq  does a du'aa and says he does "bara'a" from him in "this world and the next" (See: al-Kashi, al-Rijaal,pg. 242, hadeeth # 441).There is another hadeeth where Imaam al-Baaqir   says that Katheer al-Nawwaa' is "heavily astrayed" (See: al-Kashi's Rijaal, pg. 240, hadeeth # 439).
    Since this ḥadīth can be seen in Sunni books, and Katheer al-Nawwaa’ is said to be either Sunni or Zaydi, him being either of those two would probably be the reason why you see this type of narration coming from him.
    Even Sunnies consider themselves this tradition (which is found in their books) about Adam & Hawa & Arch & Ibrahim & Younus to be week.
    And lastly, as stated above, no Sunni or Shia tradition could deny the Scientific Proof that Jews never fasted on "passover" and this day never corresponded to 10th of Muharram during whole Madinian life of Prophet Muhammad (saw).
    Eid day of Ashura: The Conspiracy of Bani Umayyah and their supportersNajabah ibn Al Harith Al attar said I once asked Abu Jafar(as) about fasting on the day of ashura. He(the imam) said It is a discarded fast after the coming of Shahr Ramadan and what is discarded and abandoned is Heresy, Najabah then asked Abu Abdullah(as) after his father about it and he answered just like his father and then said “ it is a fast about which there is  not anything in the book or the established sunnah except the sunnah of the family of Ziyad for their murdering Al-Husayn Ibn Ali(as)Source- Al kafi(book of fasting part 2) chapter 14 hadith number 4
    I heard Zurarah(RAA) asking Abu Abdullah(as) about the fast on the day of Ashura, Abu Abdullah(as) said whoever fasts on this day his share for such fasts is like the share of ibn Marjana and the family of Ziyad, I then asked what was their share that day? he said(as) it is the fire, I seek protection with Allah against it and against the deeds against the deeds that take one closer to the fire.Source- Al kafi(book of fasting part 2) chapter 14 hadith number 6
    Fatwas of Maraja KaramAyatollah Sistani:
    1756. It is Makrooh to fast on 'Ashura (10th of Muharram). It is also Makrooh to fast on the day about which one is not sure whether it is the day of 'Arafa or Eid-ul-Azha.
    Ayatollah Khui:
    1756. It is abominable to fast on Ashura (10th of Moharrum). It is also abominable to fast an the day about which it is not sure as to whether it is the day of Arafaa or Eidul qurban.
    Let us end this article with this tradition of Imam Abu Abddillah:
    – Muhammad b. al-Hasan in al-Misbah from `Abdullah b. Sinan said: I entered upon Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام on the day of `Ashura [and I met him melancholic in color, sorrowful in appearance – in the masdar] and his tears were dropping upon his eyes like dripping pearls.  So I said: What is your crying from?  So he said: Are you in (a state of) heedlessness?  Do you not know that al-Husayn عليه السلام was afflicted in the like of this day?  So I said: What is your saying in regards to its fast?  So he said to me: Fast it without tabyeet (?), and break it without tashmeet (rejoicing at an enemies misfortune?), and do not make it a complete day of fasting, and your iftar is to be after the salat of `asr by an hour upon a drink of water, for verily in the like of that time from that day did the battle appear from the family of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم [- to the rest of the hadith].
    Allahuma Sallay Allah Muhammad wa Aale Muhammad.
    Conclusion:1. Bani Umayyah were successful in bringing fabricated Traditions in Sunni Ahadith books, even their most Sahih books like of Bukhari & Muslim.
    2. And in Shia hatred, their opponents followed these fabricated traditions with blind eyes.
    3. In name of these fabricated traditions, they started denying/neglecting the Sunnah of Prophet (saw) i.e. his sorrow and his mourning the calamities of Hussain.
    4. In name of these Umayyad's fabricated traditions, they deny the sorrow of Ashura and want to replace it with Joy and Happiness and declare it Eid.
    5. Even if there was any fast of Atonemnet, still it is not contrary to showing sorrow of Hussain on 'Ashura (especially after it has been established that it was Sunnah of Prophet too). But Nasibies try to declare this sorrow Haram in name of this fabricated traditions by Umayyads and declare it a day of Joy and Happiness.
    وعلي بن الحسن بن فضال ، عن هارون بن مسلم ، عن مسعدة بن صدقة ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) عن أبيه ، أن عليا ( عليه السلام ) قال : صوموا العاشوراء التاسع والعاشر ، فانه يكفر ذنوب سنة
    1 – Ali bin al-Hassan bin Fadhal,  from Harun b. Muslim from Mas`ada b. Sadaqa from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام from his father that `Ali عليه السلامsaid: Fast on `Ashura, the ninth and the tenth, for verily it atones for the sins of a year.
    There is no Tawthiq for Mas`ada, unless you consider all the narrators of Tafsir al-Qummi Mawthuqin, and this not the famous opinion in the Madhab, thus countless scholars rule him as Majhul.
    But even if you go with al-Khoei and rule Mas`ada Thiqah, then the path of at-Tusi to Ali b. al-Hassan b. Fadhal is weak.
    محمد بن الحسن بإسناده عن علي بن الحسن بن فضال ، عن يعقوب بن يزيد ، عن أبي همام ، عن أبي الحسن ( عليه السلام ) قال : صام رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) يوم عاشوراء
    2 – Muhammad b. al-Hasan by his isnad from `Ali b. al-Hasan b. Faddal from Ya`qub b. Yazid from Abu Hammam from Abu ‘l-Hasan عليه السلام. He said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم fasted on the day of `Ashura.
    Again, the chain of at-Tusi to Ali b. al-Hassan b. Fadhal is weak.
    وبإسناده عن سعد بن عبدالله ، عن أبي جعفر ، عن جعفر بن محمد بن عبدالله ، عن عبدالله بن ميمون القداح ، عن جعفر ، عن أبيه ( عليهما السلام ) قال : صيام يوم عاشوراء كفارة سنة
    3 – And by his isnad from Sa`d b. `Abdullah from Abu Ja`far from Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Abdullah [Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Ubaydullah – in at-Tahdhib] from `Abdullah b. Maymun al-Qaddah from Ja`far from his father عليه السلام. He said: The fast of the day of `Ashura is an atonement of a year.
    There is no Tawthiq for Ja'far b. Muhammad b. Ubaydullah.
    zainabia got a reaction from Netzari in 12 Facts About Fabricated Fast Of Ashura
    Bani Umayyah (Umayad) forced people to celebrate the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram) as a blessed day, and encouraged people to buy and store their annual food on that day and to fast that day as Sunnah, by fabricating traditions in this regard which were solely designed to overshadow and to cover up the great catastrophe of the slaughtering the household of Prophet
    (PBUH&HF).
    To make people believe that Ashura is a blessed day, day fabricated that it was in that day when Allah saved Bani Israel from Pharaoh. this is while Moses (as) and his companions were saved and passed the Nile river in the month of Rabiul-Awwal.
    They also invented that the repentance of Adam was accepted on that day, while it was accepted in the month of Zil-Hajjah. They say that it was the day that Jonah (Yunos) was saved from the body of fish and the ark of Noah was settled on earth while it was on the 18th of Zil-Hajjah. All those traditions were fabricated By Bani Umayyah to cover their crimes.
    But scientific research caught their different lies. Shukar al-Hamdolillah.
    Let us first read this fabricated tradition:
    First Version:
    Sahih Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 202:
    Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."
    Second Version:
    Bukhari, Book 60, Volume 6, Hadith 31:
    Narrated Aisha: During the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance the Quraish used to observe fasting on the day of 'Ashura',  and the Prophet himself used to observe fasting on it (ashura) too. But when he came to Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered the Muslims to fast on it. When (the order of compulsory fasting in ) Ramadan was revealed, fasting in Ramadan became an obligation, and fasting on 'Ashura' was given up, and whoever wished to fast (on it) did so, and whoever did not wish to fast on it, did not fast.
    Post Mortem of this Fabricated TraditionIt is very difficult to tell a perfect lie. There are always “Contradictions” when you tell a lie. Same happened in this case where one paid fool of Bani Umayyah fabricated that Prophet (saw) started it due to Bani Israel, while other fool linked it to the Period of ignorance.
      We all know why we celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (day of sacrifice of Hadhrat Ismael), why we celebrate Ramadhan (Quran tells (Verse 2:185) that the month of Ramazan is that in which the Quran was revealed).
    But why then ‘Aisha was so much ignorant about the incident of Bani Israel & Moses?
    The tradition claims that Prophet & Sahaba were constantly observing the fast of ‘Ashura during full 10 years of Prophet’s life in Madina, so there is absolutely no logical reason as to why ‘Aisha was ignorant of this.
      Moreover, why was Prophet following the Custom of days of Ignorance?
      There was NO Islamic Calendar during Prophet (saw) era. But there was Arabic Calendar. It was the Era of Umar Ibn Khattab, where proposal came about Islamic Calendar. Ali Ibn Abi Talib recommended to start Islamic Calendar with the 1st of Muharram of the year when Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina.
      But on 1st of Muharram of Islamic Calendar, Prophet Muhammad (saw) was still in Mecca. All agree that Prophet (saw) migrated to Madina long after it in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. (After Muharram comes the month of “Saffar” and then the month of “Rabi-ul-Awwal”).
    (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 245: …. (when Prophet reached Madina) So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah's Apostle on the summit of Harra. The Prophet turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani 'Amr bin 'Auf, and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal.)
    Therefore, it was impossible that Prophet (saw) had seen Jews fasting on Ashura at his arrival to Madina. This proves this story to be totally fabricated one.
      Moreover, the modern scientific study of Jewish Scriptures also reveals that people who fabricated this tradition were telling a blatant lie.
    Do the Jews fast on the day when Bani Israel were saved by Allah? No, it is a blatant lie. Jews don’t have absolutely any Fasting day for this event.
    Here is the List of days when Jews Fast.
    http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Fast_Days/fast_days.html
      The next lame excuse by Modern Apologists of this fabricated tradition is to claim that it refers to jewish “Yom Kippur” which happened on 10th of Tishri month of Jews.
    Once again, this claim is without any proof and totally wrong.
    First contradiction is this that the 10th of Tishri has nothing to do with saving of Bani Israel from Pharoah, but it  is the day the children of Israel paid atonement for worshipping the calf when Prophet Moses and some companions went to Mount Sinai. As a result of this incident, the Jews fast on the 10t of Tishri.
    Secondly, scientific research shows that 10th Tishri was months away from 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year.
    Here are two Scientific Tools for you to calculate it yourself.
    Gregorian-Hijri Dates Converter (Online Link)
    Hebrew Date Converter (Online Link)
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (+ One day Error) [link]
    * 10th of Tishri, 4383 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 23 September 622 C.E. (+10 days error) [link]
    As you can see both of them months away with each other and there is no chance that they correspond to each other in that year.
      The Apologists of this fabricated Tradition further make a lame excuse that perhaps Prophet (saw) didn’t see Jews in the first year of his arrival, but in later coming years.
    But this excuse is also contradicting the facts.
    Fact is this that Fast of Ramadhan became obligatory in 2nd year after migration (See Tafsir of Verse 2:185 where all Muffasirrin of Quran agree upon it that this verse about Ramadhan fasting was revealed in year 2 A.H.).
    But the only time the 10th of Tishri corresponded to the 10th of Muharram was in the 29th year after Hijra (i.e. not even in life Time of Prophet Muhammad (saw)).
      Another problem with 10th Tishri assumption is this that the  month in which God delivered the Israelites from Pharaoh was month of Abib (i.e. modern Nissan), as the Bible clearly says: "Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night." (Deut., 16:1).
    And it is also impossible that month of Abib corresponded with Month of Muharram of 1st or 2nd Year of Islamic Hijri Calendar.
    * 10th Muharram of 1st Islamic Hijri year is equivalent to 25 July 622 C.E. (1 day error) [link]
    * 10th of Abib, 4382 of Jewish Calendar is equivalent to 30 March 622 C.E. (10 days error) [link]
    You can see that there is the difference of months between them and in whole remaining life of Prophet (saw) in Madina, they never corresponded with each other.
    Note:
    Moreover, 10th of Abib (Nissan) is not even the day when Bani Israel departed from Egypt. Rather, the savior of the children of Israel occurred on the 15th of Nissan in the Jewish calendar and the 15th of Nissan in the 1st year of Hijra corresponded to the 23rd of Ramadan.
      Lame Excuse: The Jewish Calendar could have been “distorted” (Tehrif) after the death of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and thus Jewish Calendar is not reliable.
    Answer:
    No doubt that there were distortions in the “normal” Jewish scriptures.
    But as far as specifically the “Jewish Calendar” & the “Custom of Fasting” is concerned, then NO distortion has taken place in them after the advent of Islam, but both the Jewish Calendar & the Custom of Fasting stayed the same since advent of Islam.
    Actually they stayed same “centuries” before Islam. Here one Link about Jewish Calendar and another Link about short history of “Custom of Fasting”, while as far as Jewish Calendar is concerned, then there is absolutely no doubt that Jews were using this same Calendar centuries before Prophet Muhammad (saw). Therefore, if anyone claims that the “Jewish Calendar” and the “Custom of Fasting” have been distorted after 1st Hijri of Islamic Calendar, then such person is a plain stupid.
      The Truth: 10th of Muharram is a day of “sorrow” and “great calamities” for Jews too
    Subhan Allah! The truth is this that 10th of Muharram of 1st Hijri was not the day of “joy” for the Jews.
    But a big Surprise, that was the day of great calamities and sorrow for Jews too.
    “Tisha B'Av” is also a fasting day of Jews on 9th of the Jewish month Av.
    Strange thing is this that this Tisha B'Av corresponded perfectly to the 10th of Muharram of 1st & 2nd Hijri of Islamic Calendar.
    1. 10th muharram of muslim is equivalent to Sunday 25 July 622 C.E. (+1 day error according to Islamic Software maker). (Link).
    2.  9th of Av, 4382 of jewish Calendar is equivalent to Sunday 25 July 622 C.E (Link).
    Tisha B'Av: The “Saddest day in Jewish History”
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tisha_B%27Av
    The fast commemorates the destruction of both the First Temple and Second Temple in Jerusalem, which occurred about 655 years apart, but on the same Hebrew calendar date. Although primarily meant to commemorate the destruction of the Temples, it is also considered appropriate to commemorate other Jewish tragedies that occurred on this day, most notably the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, one of the concluding events of the Iberian Reconquista. Accordingly, the day has been called the "saddest day in Jewish history".....
    Note:
    Another very strange thing is this that Jeremiah (see Jer. 52:12–13) dates the destruction of the First Temple to the tenth of Av (52:12ff.), while there is, however, no biblical witness for the ninth.
    Subhan Allah!
    Allah is the greatest.
    [Quran 3:54] But they (the unbelievers) contrived a plot, and God did the like; and God's plan is the best.
      Was Prophet sad upon killing of Hussain or happy like Bani Umayyah & Present day Nasibies?
    O Muslims!
    Do you remember what your Prophet (saw) advised you about his family (Ahl al-Bayt)? Following tradition of Sahih Muslim is telling that Prophet (saw) advised the Ummah "3 Times" to look how they behave with his Ahl al-Bayt after him.
    Sahih Muslim, Kitab fada'il al-Sahabah:
    O people, I am only a human being and I am about to respond to the messenger of my Lord [i.e. the call of death]. I am leaving behind Two Precious Things (Thaqalayn) among you. The first of the two is the Book of Allah. In it is guidance and light. So get hold of the Book of Allah and adhere to it." (The narrator, Zayd ibn al-Arqam said: Then he urged and motivated (us) regarding the Book of Allah . Then he said), "And my Ahl al-Bayt (family). I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt. I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt. I urge you to remember Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt.
    But O Muslims! Just tell even after this advice of "3 times" still what happened to the beloved grandson Hussain of Prophet?
    Sunnan Ibn Majah, Kitab-ul-Fitn (Online Link for Original Arabic Version):
    Narrated by Alqamah from Abdullah bin Masood:
    One day we were sitting with Holy Prophet(s) when some children from the house of Bani Hashim came there. When the Holy Prophet(s) saw them, tears welled up in his eyes and he became pale. Ibn Masood said that he told the Holy Prophet(s) "Your face reflects anxiety".The Holy Prophet(s) stated:"Exalted God has granted us,the Ahlulbait, Hereafter instead of worldly pleasure. After me, soon my Ahlulbait will face calamity, hardship and misery till people having black flags will rise from East and seek justice,which will be denied them.They will wage war,they will be supported and will be given what they were demanding.They will not accept until it is handed over to one from our Ahlulbait (i.e. Mahdi) .He will fill the earth with justice as it was filled with injustice. Whoever amongst you is alive at that period, should try to reach them even if he has to tread on ince in that pursuit."
    (al-Sanadi wrote in commentary of Ibn Majah that this same tradition has also been recorded in Mustadrak of al-Hakim through another chain of Umar bin Qais -- Hakam --I braheem)
    Saudi Mufti, Al-Albaani records a ‘Sahih’ Hadith:
    Gabriel came to me and informed me that my Ummah will kill my son Hussain. I asked: ‘This Hussian?’. He (s) replied: ‘Yes’ he then brought me some of its soil that was red. Narrated by Umm al-Fadhal bint al-Harith that she went to the Holy Prophet (s) and said: ‘O Prophet (s), I have seen an unclear dream tonight’. He (s) asked: ‘What is it?’ She replied: ‘I saw that as if a part of your body was cut off from you and was placed upon my chest’. He (s) said: ‘You have seen something good. Inshallah Fatimah will bear a baby boy and he will be upon your chest.’ So Fatima gave birth to Hussain and he was on my chest as the Prophet (s) had notified me. On one day I went to the Holy Prophet (s) and put Hussain on his chest then he turned his face to the side and I witnessed his (s) eyes flowing with tears. I asked: “Prophet of Allah (s), may parents be sacrificed for you, what is wrong?” he (s) then mentioned it (the above hadith).
    Silsilah Al-Ahadith Al-Sahiyah, Volume 2 page 462 Hadith 821
    Witness of Ibn Abbas about mourning of Prophet for Hussain:
    حدثنا عبد الله حدثني أبي ثنا عبد الرحمن ثنا حماد بن سلمة عن عمار بن أبي عمار عن ابن عباس قال رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في المنام بنصف النهار أشعث أغبر معه قارورة فيها دم يلتقطه أو يتتبع فيها شيئا قال قلت يا رسول الله ما هذا قال دم الحسين وأصحابه لم أزل أتتبعه منذ اليوم .قال عمار فحفظنا ذلك اليوم فوجدنا قتل ذلك اليوم
    Translation: “Abdullah bin Abbas narrates that he saw holy prophet (saw) while sleeping in afternoon, his hair were scattered, and full of dust, and he had a bottle filled with blood; I asked him: My parents be sacrificed for you, what is this? He replied: this is the blood of Hussain and his companions, I have been collecting it since day time. Narrator said that when we calculated, it was the day Hussain embraced martyrdom”.
    Ali Ibn Abi Talib mourning for Hussain
    Masnad Imam Ahmad, 2/60:
    Abdullah Bin Naji narrates from his father who said : that he went with Ali  who was pure. When he passed Ninawa on his way to Siffin Ali called: Be patient Aba Abdillah,  be patient Aba Abdillah by ,the Euphrates river ,then I said: and why did you say? he said : Allah’s Prophet (saw) came to me some day and his eyes were overflowed with tears, I said: O Prophet of Allah did someone make you angry why are your eyes overflowing? He said: Jibraeel left me after he told me that Al Hussein asws will be killed by the Euphrates river. He said: do you want to smell some of his soil? I said: yes. He took some of the soil in his hand and gave it to and gave it to me then I could not hold back my tears and my eyes overflowed.
    ^The Shia-majority needs go for their rights... giving in too much into Sunnis (Arabs/Kurds) demands is not going to bring peace, as it did not in the last 11 years, it is doing the oppsite. Too much Sunni Arabs influence makes things worse... since they use all the influence and power to create tension and chaos, and they are provoked by Takfiris and regional Sunni countries to create problems; they simply cannot stop dreaming to take back Iraq as it used to be during Saddam.. and Kurds, they do not help in anything and in anyway and they only focus on their own indpendent Kurdistan, they even make things worse in some cases so they can benefit in between the crisis.
    What Arab or non-Arab Sunni government ever appointed a single Shia as a minister or a governor or anything? And let them run their own army, flag and rules in every corner of the country? All key posts and ministeries with the exception of a few, pluse the presidency goes to Sunnis all these years... and all local forces be it the police, army, offices are ran by Sunnis, where in next door Saudi or Kuwait or even Shia-majority Bahrain, the Shia citizens are denied basic rights and they cannot even become a local policeman in a small citiy... forget it to except any ministery, presidency or any other important position within the government.
    Each time Maliki or even now Abedi appointing Sunni-Arab defense ministers, finance ministers, and 10s of other ministeries and important posts... which I think is ridiculous! It is not a peaceful or united country where people of different sect with different backgrounds serve the country regardless... they call for independence or simply bring ISIS on you! And at the end of the day it is called a Shia dominated government and marginalized Sunnis and Kurds. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT PLEASE THEM.
    Instead, the government should serve all citizens equally in social and ecnomic level.. take them away from their tribal and sectarian systems. The Iraqi government should instead empower the Shia militias and turn them into organized, non-sectarian force, so they can protect the country and use them in times of need.
    For how many years/decades Iranians tried to appease Sunnis by aiding them in Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Egypt, Bosnia, Syria and other countries... they all ended up calling Iran sectarian, a 'Rafidhi country' who is after Rafidhi agendas... Persian-majoosi and what not.. the Sunni masses are fooled easily!
    Nobody is helping you, nobody is giving your rights or respect your share...
    Iranians did not achieve anything until they brought in a revolution and overthrew those who oppressed them
    Shias in South Lebanon suffered and had to sacrifice to achieve limited rights and freedom
    Shias in Afghanistan struggled/sacrificed all these years until they got some shares finally and at least some limited freedom in their own surroundings
    Shias of Yemen are heard and are making gains after 50 years of marginalization only because of Houthis and their armed movements
    Muslim world is not Paris or Washington where a group of people can make gains and protect their rights with some other means, or where people vote and resolve their issues through elections, protests and fairness.
    When you have options and opportunity, you need to go  for it... and when you have no options and no chance like people of Bahrain, then you cannot make a difference even if you sacrifice... where in case of Shais of Iraq, they have had the chance and opportunites all these years, but simply they are making wrong choices and taking a wrong and losing path. They are simply careless of their future, they are very disorganized, not united, and are waiting to be oppressed and ruled for some reasons, which is really annoying.
    In Afghanistan, where there are several ethnic groups, America introduced the "Presidential System".
    But in Iraq, where there are less divisions, US introduced the "Parliamentary System" with lot of other problems.
    Why these Double Standards?
    This parliamentary system is making life difficult for the Shia government.
    Brother, I want to know more about the present government.
    1) Who is hoshiyar Zubairi and is he a good person?
    2) There were 3 vice presidents including Ayad Allawi. Not this character disturbs me while he has been to Saudi Arabia many times.
    3) Also I want to know about the Iraqi People.
    It is clear to me that US was behind ISIS. But then Maliki requested this same US for help.
    How the Iraqi people now look at US (especially the Shia population)?
    "But Abadi put off until next week a vote on the two top security posts after members of parliament complained that they knew little about his proposed defense minister, Khalid al Ubaidi, a Sunni who is a former military officer but about whom little else was known." newsobserver.com
    It seems again, like Maliki, he too will try to appease Sunni Arabs and Sunni Kurds by giving almost half of the government to them, and let them run their provinces and little independent states in every corner of the country with their own flags and armies, and it seems that nothing will please Sunni Arabs or Sunni Kurds, until Kurds make their own country that includes Kirkuk and Sunni Arabs who will be only happy to rule over Baghdad just like they did during Saddam.
    I really don't get the idea of how and why you give all these key ministery positions to little minorities who every month conspire against you to overthrow you, bomb you on daily basis, daily target-killings and etc.. ???
    Giving the ministery of defense to the same people who brought ISIS on you and almost the entire army personals, police and governors gave up in their provinces and joined hands with foreign terrorists and slaughtered thousands of Shias who were simply in training military schools? And massacred Shia civilians, destroying mosques and Shia houses?
    Lets wait for the entire list... I really don't get... especially in current situations.
    Correct. They've already performed, and mind you without any protests from the general public, the replacing of the "stoning of Iblees obelisk" next to the Kaaba and put it on top of mount Arafaa where ignorant muslims are now seeking blessings from it. A genius move by Iblees, one must admit. His symbolical presence attached to the pillar was formerly stoned and the very same pillar is now being sought for by worshippers.
    It's a diabolical kufri/salafi agenda operating under the pretext of Safety, stating that the stones could hit worshippers on the other side, and accordingly justifying the removal of the pillar in exchange for a wide wall, despite reports of significant injuries before.
    It is time for those who are parading or not parading to move on and take on Sunni-terrorists. I think there is nothing wrong even if Shias from Iran, Yemen or Lebanon and Syria want to go into Iraq to defend their religion and protect the shrines... ambush and destroy the terrorists from Tikrit to Mosul. The entire Sunni media, regional dictator dogs and Sunni-public seem to be fine for what these terrorists are doing in Iraq, simply because they are confronting the Shias and destablizing Iraq. It is for Shias to fight for their survival and protect the religion of God against the forces of Yazeed.....
    ^Marbles,
    This war has nothing to do with Maliki being in charge or any other individual.
    It is pure sectarian supported by some regional and western powers... every side for their own interests and reasons try to create and embolden the show!
    What did Maliki do to Sunnis that some other Shia PM will not do? Why no one could say what is the sectarian attitude of this so called Shia-sectarian PM? WHO SHOULD BE IN CHARGE?
    You have a Sunni president, a Sunni Speaker, a Sunni foreign minister, so lets give the position of Prime-Minister to a Sunni Arab or Sunni Kurd as well so then we can claim we have a non-sectarian Iraqi government?
    Does anyone even know how many higher posts including other ministries run by Sunnis? And other important government sectors?
    What is it that the Sunnis have less in current government, and how they are being persecuted that the next government will be acceptable to them?
    How much you Shias have the power and share for sectarian reasons in Pakistan? And almost every single demands of you are met on sectarian basis?
    How much Saudi Shias demands are met in Saudi Arabia? A country who even bans high-school officials for being Shia forget about other basic rights... same goes with 10s of other Sunni countries where Shia minorities or even Shia majorities are persecuted and are treated as 3rd class citizens.
    I hope Ayt. Sistani did not say such a thing...
    This (war) was expected in Iraq for some years now where the network of Izzat Ibrahim, Hashemi and the Takfiris will provoke and start an armed uprising backed by regional and western countries, ... thanks God that they did not find the chance until they saw an opportunity to take a ride with ISIS and create chaos... that will backfire very badly and this time will marginalize such people for real.
    Majority of Sunnis in Iraq (Kurds/Arabs) have more rights than Shias, and more share in the government than their percentage and more freedom than they supposed to have... a few ex-Baathists and Takfiri criminals who are not happy and will try everything to come to power will not have any share and cannot have any power in future Iraq...
    And they must be destroyed alongside their demands......
    The White House Is Convinced the Shiite Leader Is Unable to Reconcile With the Nation's Sunni Minority and Stabilize a Volatile Political Landscape.
    http://live.wsj.com/video/hagel-it-u...D5F1EC906.html
    The Obama administration is signaling that it wants a new government in Iraq without Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, convinced the Shiite leader is unable to reconcile with the nation's Sunni minority and stabilize a volatile political landscape.
    The U.S. administration is indicating it wants Iraq's political parties to form a new government without Mr. Maliki as he tries to assemble a ruling coalition following elections this past April, U.S. officials say.
    Such a new government, U.S., officials say, would include the country's Sunni and Kurdish communities and could help to stem Sunni support for the al Qaeda offshoot, the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, or ISIS, that has seized control of Iraqi cities over the past two weeks. That, the officials argue, would help to unify the country and reverse its slide into sectarian division.
    On Wednesday, Iraq stepped up efforts on several fronts to blunt the insurgency's progress, deploying counterterrorism units and helicopter gunships to battle them for control of the country's main oil refinery, in Beiji.
    An image grab taken from Iraqiya channel shows Iraqi Primi Minister Nouri al-Maliki delivering a televised speech in Baghdad on Wednesday.
    A growing number of U.S. lawmakers and Arab allies, particularly Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, are pressing the White House to pull its support for Mr. Maliki. Some of them are pushing for change in exchange for providing their help in stabilizing Iraq, say U.S. and Arab diplomats.
    The chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) told a congressional hearing Wednesday: "The Maliki government, candidly, has got to go if you want any reconciliation."
    Senior administration officials have become increasingly critical of Mr. Maliki in their public statements and question whether he is committed to mending ties with Sunnis.
    "There's no question that not enough has been done by the government, including the prime minister, to govern inclusively, and that that has contributed to the situation and the crisis that we have today in Iraq," White House spokesman Jay Carney said Wednesday. "The Iraqi people will have to decide the makeup of the next coalition government and who is the prime minister," he added. "Whether it's the current prime minister or another leader, we will aggressively attempt to impress upon that leader the absolute necessity of rejecting sectarian governance."
    The Obama administration has for years warned Mr. Maliki's Shiite-dominant government to be more inclusive and less punitive against the minority Sunnis at the risk of further alienating them.
    Mr. Maliki has largely ignored that advice over the past five years, U.S. and Arab officials say, jailing popular Sunni protest leaders, blocking even other Shiite blocs from sharing power and taking most key cabinet positions in government for himself.
    This week, as pressure rose from the U.S. and other allies to work toward a representative government for Iraq, Mr. Maliki participated in a unity meeting with top Sunni, Shiite, Kurdish leaders. The result wasn't hopeful, U.S. and Arab officials say.
    "We believe that Maliki's sectarianism and exclusion of Sunnis has led to the insurgency we are seeing," said a senior Arab official. "He unfortunately managed to unite ISIS with the former Baathists and Saddam supporters."
    President Barack Obama and his national security aides are in deliberations over the creation of a new strategy for stabilizing Iraq, with a clear roadmap expected in the coming days.
    Mr. Obama has discussed the possibility of using air power and drone strikes to weaken ISIS, say U.S. officials. But he has been particularly focused on developing a political process to heal the widening rift between Iraq's Shiite and Sunni communities that officials see as feeding the support for ISIS's insurgency in western Iraq.
    Mr. Obama met Wednesday with the top Republican and Democratic members of the House and Senate to update them on administration plans.
    Sen. Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), the chamber's minority leader, issued a statement afterward, criticizing Mr. Obama's past policies on Iraq and saying it was important to apply the experience to the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in two years.
    Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), the House Democratic leader, said Mr. Obama didn't need any further legislative authority to pursue options in Iraq. But officials said Mr. Obama told the congressional leaders he would continue to consult with them.
    Earlier Wednesday, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, cautioned senators at a hearing against expecting quick U.S. military strikes, because of the difficulty of developing targets. "It's not as easy as looking at an iPhone video of a convoy and then immediately striking it," said Gen. Dempsey.
    To support the administration approach, Secretary of State John Kerry and his aides have consulted with Iraq's neighbors—particularly Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Iran—to find a formula to create a more inclusive government in Baghdad.
    The State Department's point man on Iraq, Deputy Assistant Secretary Brett McGurk, has concurrently been meeting with Iraqi politicians and religious leaders in Baghdad to promote this political process, say U.S. officials.
    The State Department wouldn't say if the Obama administration was specifically discussing the issue of removing Mr. Maliki during these talks. But Arab diplomats and policy advisors who have talked with the White House in recent days said it was clear the administration was "casting about for somebody better" than Mr. Maliki.
    Mr. Kerry was even more pointed in his criticism of Mr. Maliki on Monday, arguing his removal could help stabilize Iraq's sectarian divide.
    "If there is a clear successor, if the results of the election are respected, if people come together with the cohesiveness necessary to build a legitimate government that puts the reforms in place that people want, that might wind up being very salutatory," he told Yahoo! News.
    These same Saddam supporters always supported hundreds of terrorist attacks against Shias and give shelter to these terrorists in their cities and never arrest them.
    These same Saddam Police and Army members conspired recently in Mosul and handed over whole city to ISIS and ordered army to gave up their weapons and then later they were slaughtered.
    These Saddam supporters, who are at high ranking in Army and Police, they should be driven out from the forces and must be punished.
