  1. Asking for Allah swt to reward someone or bless someone is different. But I might add, do you think that you, as a party that wasn't directly wronged by those people will have any say in their punishment? I can understand someone that was wronged being able to ask Allah swt to remove the blessings from someone because they are the victim. You however haven't been directly wronged and you're not a victim of those people.
  2. I don't love everyone equally, but not invoking curses on people doesn't mean that I love them, I criticize their actions without a doubt but I don't see the use in cursing them, unless of course you think that you cursing them will give them more of a punishment than they deserve, or you not cursing them will mean they get less? In either case you're forgetting that Allah swt is the Best Judge.
  3. Assalaamu Alaikumm, That's pretty insane to be honest. Spending all of your time invoking curses on people? Do you really think that Allah swt is not a good enough Judge that he won't hold those who have harmed the Prophet pbuh or his family a.s. accountable for their actions? Do you think that Allah swt will give them any more or less of a punishment that they deserve by cursing? What silly behavior.

  6. To Finally Rest In Peace? It's now almost 2am and I cant sleep. I hear the frantic cries of millions of orphaned and starving babiesm They are desperately yearning for the breast of their mothers, Reaching out for the sustainance it contains and the warmth it brings, Desperately wanting to hear the comforting and loving heartbeat of the beautiful soul, The soul who's womb carried them for 9 months, The woman who went through excruciating and inexplicable pain to bring them into the world.. Cries of wanting to hear that heartbeat next to their own once more, The safety and security it brings to their little souls is unbelievable.. This overwhelming and frantic crying keeps me up at night.. I hear the grief stricken hysterical wailing, The Wailing of millions of mothers who have lost their sons and daughters, They died after being tortured and murdered, After starving to death while we sit with food on our plates Eating in excess and becoming obese, Throwing what we waste into the trash, All of this as they lose their children to preventable diseases like malaria, All of this as they lose their children to manageable diseases like AIDS, They die simply because they cannot afford the medications and vaccinations for these diseases. Tell me, How on earth can we put a price on peoples lives like that? Many other children die because the water they had no choice about drinking was not clean, Tell me how we can live in a world where one person can be so rich that they own their own Island, Yet across the border others live in such dire circumstances that they have to drink polluted water? Tell me, Where is the justice in that? Those mothers will never again to hold their children, Nor see their beautiful little smiles again They'll never see them grow up to outlive them.. Instead they outlive their children Losing a part of themselves, their hearts forever broken.. Never will they be the same.. The grief stricken, hysterical wailing of those mothers haunts my sleep.. I hear the screams for justice of the millions of people who are living in refugee camps, oppressed and persecuted due to their religion or color, in most cases for power and wealth.. Screaming out for relief and justice while the whole world sits idly by, A world that doesn't act due to them not having oil, Maybe they have a vested interest in their destruction. Like those currently oppressed in The Sudan.. 400,000 have died already Almost ONE MILLION died in Rwanda.. 200,000 died in Indonesia, 150,000 died in Cambodia For 60 Years the Palestinians have patiently endured a quiet genocide.. Tell me, Are any of the groups I've mentioned not human just like you? It's become very obvious that the obligation of acting when genocide is committed doesn't count, It doesn't count when the victims aren't Judeo-Christian Europeans doesn't it? Not when it's just another N*gger, Rice Muncher or Raghead right?.. Nevertheless, their screams for Liberty from Oppression, Justice for the crimes committed against them and And the right in the Pursuit of Happiness make even the thought of closing my eyes unbearable.. My dreams are haunted by those who are crying for relief.. Their cries and calls are so real to me so that I have not known a peaceful nights sleep, Not since I became aware of their suffering.. I'm not talking about mere minutes, Not hours, Not days And not even months.. It has been YEARS. For many years I have carried this burden of awareness.. Like Neo I swallowed the red pill.. And I am reminded of it every day as I see the reality of our world.. And so I wonder, How can ANYONE sleep a peaceful nights sleep knowing that others suffer so much? Are your dreams not haunted by their screams and cries for help and justice!? Are you not aware of their suffering? Surely you must be... Or did you swallow the blue pill they fed you? Willingly accepting the lies they fed you without reading yourself, Are we embracing ignorance now? Maybe you just don't have time? Are you too focused on your new car? Your brand new house and mortgage? And Your American Idol and America's Next Top Model? Oh Mankind! Have you no compassion? No love? No wish for peace and justice for your fellow man? Just because they look different to you, Speak a different language to you, And maybe even worship God differently to the way you, Do does that mean they aren't human beings worthy of being treated as such? Oh Muslims!.. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, That you should want for your brother MORE than you want for yourselves! That includes the right to live as human beings.. Safe and secure.. Free and fed.. Educated and emancipated.. Have you fulfilled the rights that the oppressed, both Muslim and non-Muslim over you or are you neglecting them? Oh Muslims! God said to stand up for justice, Regardless who it is for Muslim or Non-Muslim, Even if it means standing up against the injustice caused by yourselves or your family.. That's Surah An-Nisa, Ayat 135 READ IT Yet you do not! Why!? This is what you will be asked on The Day by your Creator... And what will your answer be, Oh Muslim? You see I pray. I pray that one day, perhaps I will be able to sleep peacefully for just one night.. But I know, that this will only come when there are no more starving orphans, frantically crying for warmth and sustainance of their mothers breasts, It will be when there are no more grieving mothers, Hysterically wailing for their beloved lost children And when there are no more oppressed and persecuted people, People crying out for their rights to Liberty, Justice and the Pursuit of Happiness.. Then, perhaps I shall sleep peacefully.. It has become apparent to me that this will not occur by itself, So I must work to create that change.. To create a better world for those who are suffering, Those who have no voice in this world.. And God willing I will either achieve it, or I'll die trying.. And for me you ask? What do I want? This is not in my hands.. The victory of my cause has already been assured, Either peace and justice will be established on earth so that I may rest easy in my bed, Or I will be resting in peace, 6ft under shrouded in white cloth.. Having sacrificed everything to create that justice, blessed as a martyr for my struggle.. Perhaps then I may be able to rest in peace.. Oh Mankind.. Will you follow the example of those before me as I have tried to? Filling the void they left so that the struggle for peace and justice can be continued? Will you also sacrifice as they sacrificed?.. So that others who look differently to you, Speak differently to you And worship differently to you may have peace and justice?

  8. Assalaamu Alaikumm, I thank you all for your comments and may Allah swt reward you all.. I think I might have to clarify my position on this comment though.. I believe that the pen is indeed important.. As is diplomacy and a peaceful solution if can be reached.. however I do also believe that sometimes violent resistance is necessary to defend ones life, land, religion and freedom from oppression.. It is everyone's born right to live in peace, security and prosperity and not be oppressed from another and while no doubt the peaceful solution is the best, there is no obligation to be peaceful with those who are not peaceful with you.. You cannot beat a person senseless and then blame them for hitting you back.. That is oppression and just a tool that oppressors use to take your right to defense away from you.. However I will say that as Muslims, every one of our actions is supposed to be for Da'wah, from the way we eat, the cleanliness of our hygene, the neat appearance of our clothing, the eloquence and love in our speech and even the freshness of our breath are supposed to attract people to us and Islam.. As is the way we fight.. If we have to resort to fighting in combat against oppression then we have to do so not with hate for our enemy, but hate for oppression.. and even when we fight we do it for the sake of Allah.. not for our own lusts.. when we fight we fight honorably, with dignity and respect. We don't kill innocent people nor rape, pillage nor create oppression.. The example of Ali :as: is a perfect example of this, had he killed the man who spat in his face he'd have done it in anger, not for the sake of Allah.
  9. May Allah swt reward you all.. I really try hard to create a difference, and people say I do enough.. But it can never be enough, not while there is injustice in the world.. Even if there were only one oppressed child left I wouldn't stop.. May Allah give me the strength inshaALLAH
  10. Assalaamu Alaikumm sis :) Alhumdulillah.. I took quite a long time to study.. The first thing I did was to get rid of any preconceived notions that what I had been previously taught was correct.. And I looked with critical thinking, logic, reasoning and praying to God for guidance.. I researched it thoroughly first finding out all of the criticisms of Shia from Sunni's.. I took that to Shia scholars and did research and found that the concerns Sunni's had were either fabricated, taken out of context or things which could be justified with Qur'an and Sunnah. I then researched historical accounts and other hadith to see.. After all of this I realized that I was heading the right way, alhumdulillah and now I am ithna'Ashariyya.. I also sent you an email the other day btw..
  11. I am glad that you can relate to it Shay, alhumdulillah it is good to see.. Let us all work together to create change for the sake of Allah inshaALLAH
  12. Shukran akhi, may Allah swt reward you.. Can you find out if they are Shia for me please and also find out if there are many others? This project is really important.. Massalaama, Adonis
  13. As a side note also I think that if there has been any insulting or lies spoken of members of MV that those responsible should be warned and their posts moderated.. It's not a good example of the beauty of the School of Ahlul Bayt to behave in this way..
  14. Assalaamu Alaikumm, While I think that there are many on MV who are anti Shia I do not believe that this is a policy of the admin nor are all like this. RayRayRay, you could attest to the fact that I myself were banned from MV for continuously saying (may God forgive me) that all Shia, like yourself are Kafirs who worship their Imams (alhumdulillah now I have done my thorough research over time and I am now Ithna'Ashariyya by the Grace of God). Perhaps it may be the case that they were too patient with me in warning me many times before banning me but I believe it was not because my comments were anti-Shia and they agreed with them, rather they were because I was ignorant and stupid and they wanted the softly softly approach to get me to change instead of just kicking me out without trying to change me. I agree that in the past, sometimes it appears that some of the moderators themselves have been biased and not acted because something in their heart or have acted too quickly in an attempt from things going overboard while not allowing a proper right of reply by Shia, but that is not all of MV. I think that there is more room for improvement and MV needs to do more work to ensure that anti-Shia statements and threads are not created and allowed on the forums and when they are delete it and short ban those responsible, or at least let the dialog continue and allow the Shia to respond and clarify and challenge those anti-Shia threads and statements. Sometimes it appears that someone is allowed to say something malicious and the Shia are not allowed to respond which leaves us with a feeling that justice was not allowed to occur. This however is not always the case! People like AhmedK who is one of the Admins do not accept any sort of Shia bashing at all and in a recent discussion in the Brothers section regarding Shia/Sunni AhmedK was very firm and also threatened to permanently ban someone for their comments that were trying to defame and incite hate against Shia. The discussion which was in created by someone in an attempt to discuss converting Shia to Sunni (as one Sunni brother liked a Shia sister he knew). I believe that some peoples intentions who participated were not sincere.. And Some felt sorry for Shia and wanted to help guide them to a better way, but they saw Shia as muslims and just needed some misconceptions set up too. No doubt on this thread there are many efforts of Shia trying to show the beauty of the School of Ahlul Bayt, to debate the Sunni and get them to join us in our madhab. This thread turned into a very good dialog where many misconceptions were clarified on both sides and the Admins including both Sam and AhmedK were very clear that they consider Shia as Muslims, they may not agree with everything that Shia believe but they see them as Muslims and as brothers and said that such an attempt at trying to convert Shia-Sunni is a waste of time because Shia are already Muslims and daw'ah is better given to non-Muslims instead of arguing. We respectfully discussed this issue and many Sunni's defended me against personal attacks and encouraged me to keep going.. So far the thread has gone on for 7 pages and it may still be going! I believe that MV is working towards being more just and fair and applaud their efforts. Massalaama, Adonis
