  1. A sister recently posted an interesting hadeeth of how the world will be when the 12th Imam comes. Looking through the list, it is half completed.

I dont think we're there yet.

I think this is pretty true for the world today.

This is very true. The fanatics and the seasonal muslims are growing in numbers.

Well when women with scarves are called opressed, and naked women are publicly appreciated, I think we're getting there.

The media is a good example.

This is a major issue. We're very close. The maulanas are getting younger and younger.

I confess to this one. I spend more hours playing football and joking with my friends than I do on the prayermat. I am not alone. It is rare to see even a Muslim spending more time in religious activities than in fun and frivolity. Lets face it, this prophecy has come true.

Very true. Many Muslims go to functions/prayers like taxpayers, not like worshippers.

Well, most of them dont. Obediance is still there in our community but its shrinking.

Due to lack of knowledge in this field I cant comment.

Theyve been active in Africa. Thats a start.

Very true. Society often complains of how they pay taxes for "lazy, no-good, unemployed people." On top of that, people have to literally beg for money for the poor/disabled.

Looking at the deeds around the world, this seems to be true already.

    This one has come true.

    Becoming more and more common.

I guess there a a few mosques like that.

The result: traitors. We have enough of those in the world.

Not all of them do, but there are many.

Its become so common, it even happens in schools (i'll give you this girls number if you kick that guys ***).

    In Las Vegas, yeah.

Very true. Many "muslims" are fairly prouid of saying "oh, but I'm not a strict Muslim."

Very true. The pilgrimage has become a luxury trip with 5 star hotels.

The people who organise groups have made whole businesses just based on taking/sending people on pilgrimages.

This is a problem within the Ummah. We feel that people study juast to become aalims and not to learn something. This is a specific comment, not a general one.

In Europe and America it is extremely common.

We all know how common this has become.

    !?

In a way, yes. People dismiss it extremely casually nowadays instead oif going "oh my god!".

Not yet, but there are more women than men. In America, for example, I think around 52% are women and 48% are men.

Can you PLEASE send me the source/sources/any source pertaining to the signs of the end of times as told by the prophet (s)?

    Jzk,

    Wasalaam

  3. Is it halaal, mustahab, mobah, makrooh, or haraam to celebrate, lets say for example, Christmas or Hanakuh? Whats the ruling behind jumping over fire on chahar shambeh soori like the practice of the old zoroastrians or getting a chrismas tree? are these type of acts okay or are they looked down upon? from what ive heard, these things can be considered as blind shirk.

    Please include sources

  4. Selam alaycom,

This short dua is recited for Imam Mahdi (ajfrs). Click here to read, see and hear it on this beautiful flash:

    http://www.zainab.org/commonpages/audio/duas/al-mahdi.html

    Here is the arabic text:

    <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>

    My attempt at transliteration:

    Bismillah al rahman al rahim

Allah homa kun liwaliyyika al hujjat ibne al Hassan

    Salawatuka 3lahi wa 3la abai'i

Fe hadhahi sa3ati wa fe kulle sa3a

Allah homa sulli ala Mohamed wa ahli Mohamed, wa ajil firajahom.

    Peace,

    Um Ali

Thank You, I really have been looking for this dua. Do you happen to know the name?

  5. Some things are beyong the logical boundaries of power....

as brother "fyst" has given all the intro I will only give some examples...

Like if someone would say write your name on water u would say I have the power to write but the water does not have the ability to let anything be written on it....

or A man who is very good at sewing clothes... Give him rock and sand and tell him to sew u a dress..

what would he say.... The rock and sand do not have the power to be sewed. It does not imply that the man is not good at sewing....

Can u chew water????? No... If someone questions ur ability to chew then he is mad because the water lacks the ability to be chewed.

    Wassalam and kHudahafiz.

Beautiful response, brother! but can you explain to me the relation between Gods ability to the good or evil with that analogy?

    Thank you

  6. He will forgive all your sins. as the Quran says. There is no sin so great that God cannot forgive. read the Quran...

Is that really true? Do Shia thoughts on "major sins" differ from Sunnis? Can someone elaborate, thanks. Because I know first hand from reading and listening to khutbas that Sunnis have certain unforgivable sins. Thanks for helping, iA.

    Wasalam,

  7. 6 million jews dissapeared? who are you trying to fool..

I do believe in the holocaust but the numbers a far to exaggerated, just like the threat of terrorism has been exaggerated to hide the real war against islam, the invasion of iraq and the planning of the invasion of iran and syria they want a new world order and they will do anything and use any historic incident to advance their plans.

I completely agree with you, because theres no doubt that the holocaust did happen, but its drastically exagerated. 3188 jews dying every day in a span of 4-5 years? no. and if america and the world are so sorry for what happened and really want to punish the Nazi's, why did they send them all the way to the middle east in palestine instead of somewhere in europe to create the state of isreal and kick out the palestinians from their homeland, which is very remniscent to what the Nazi's did to the jews when they sent the jews to the ghettos. and was this all because of their "holy land" from long ago? how come this happened after thousands of years in which palestinians occupied that land. wasnt that what the americans did to the indians also? i say that the holocaust is very much exagerated for the increase of sympothy and brainwash to say that the jews are indeed the innocent and not the wrong-doerss.
