    Maybe it's best explained through an example. Meet brother Jaafar. Jaafar used to play with barbie dolls as a child. His parents were very worried about Jaafar preferring kitchen aprons over kalashnikovs. As Jaafar grew older, he tried on many occasions to explain to his parents that although he was born male, he had a female brain! His parents wouldn't have a word of it! Once his father walked in on Jaafar playing with two barbie dolls as he was making them pretend hug. Jaafar's father was like WHAT THE HELL JAAFAR, and snatched those barbies from him, later burning them alive. You see, little did Jaafar's father know, but Jaafar's girlie mind liked other girlies. Jaafar's parents believed the only solution was to get Jaafar married. So they conspired to find him a wife; you see they thought that getting him married would fix Jaafar's gender issues. So they visited a family that had a barbie daughter, Fatima. To their huge surprise, Jaafar and Fatima hit it off straight away, and within 3 months they did their nikah and were married. Now when ever Jaafar's parents visited their house, they found Jaafar and Fatima both in pink aprons cooking cupcakes, and they couldn't be happier at seeing how well they were getting along.

Answer: Tattoos are permissible and they do not affect wudhu irrespective of whether they are permanent or temporary.

I believe some the information gathered as part of the investigation came from this thread, and i'm glad they've made the link between him and the fringe Shirazis (would have been nice if they mentioned Yassir Habib too). More needs to be done to expose their brand of hate. The Ahlul Bayt (as) never taught such hate. He mislead the Australian public who thought he was a 'reformist' where in fact he has a Shirazi styled agenda of inter-sectarian warfare. His call for the burning of all of Bukhari is akin to calling for the Old-Testament to be burned and lost to history because of some of its radical teachings (reminds me of the Obama bible bash session https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUbf3purr_E ).

    Don't like saying this follower and that follower, but unfortunately there needs to be a greater awareness of the 'Shirazi' school of politics as many Muslims are unaware of it. His father was a Fadhlallah follower, yes ironic. The keys were handed to another Sheikh (a Sistani follower), again there was mismanagement. One of the shameful events in the history of this tragic mosque, was back in 2003, on the 10th of Muharram, as worshippers were exiting the mosque, a fight broke out between the Iraqis. ASIO/ASIS (Australia Intelligence) closed the mosque down for 3 months leaving a manned, unmarked vehicle outside ensuring no one entered the place (this was 2-3 weeks prior to the US led invasion of Iraq) so tensions were high. Great respect for Imam Hussain (as) on the 10th of Muharram right? Given that western media loves fitna, this bro's fast becoming a show piece of Australian TV. The owner back in 2003 took the keys from Tawidi's father (no fault of Tawhidi's father other than chronic mismanagement) and gave it to another Shekh. It was originally an establish church.
