  1. Salaam Alaykum all,

The world has woken up and is realising the importance of Unity and being together as one against oppression and injustice.

The 11th of February events have proved this!!

11th Feb 2011 marked the day the Egyptian people united as one against a tyrannical ruler and succeeded in ousting him after 30 years of reign.

11th Feb 2011 marked the 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran where the people united as one body against a tyrannical monarch.

11th Feb 2011 this year was the 8th of Rabi-ul-Awwal which marked the martyrdom of the 11th Imam, and the wilaayat being handed down to the great Imam al-Mahdi who shall unite all truth-loving people and he shall rid the world of tyranny and injustice and fill it with peace, love, justice and security. We renew our allegiance to our Imam just as the true Shias offered their allegiance to Imam Mahdi upon the passing of his beloved father.

11th Feb 2011 in other parts of the world was the 9th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks Eid-e-Zahra, including marking the revenge of al-Mukhtar by killing the accursed Umar ibne Sa'ad.

11th Feb 2011 this year on the 9th of Rabi-ul-Awwal also marked the first of 3 main dates that are attributed to the Holy Prophet's birthday (9th, 12th and 17th of Rabi-ul-Awwal).

11th Feb 2011 hence marks the beginning of UNITY WEEK and the "week of unity and fraternity" of Sunni and Shia worldwide, as coined by the late Ruhullah Khomeini.

The world has woken up and have identified their common enemy. Shaytaan the [edited out] tries to create discord between Muslims over petty issues when many of our Imams including the 11th Imam upon his death advised the Shia to "pray in their masaajids" and uphold the unity.

Let us wake up and reach out to all Muslims -Shia, Sunni, Sufi, Salafi, Usuli, Akhbaari, Fadhlulahi, Khameneii, Shirazi and realise that the discord is being fuelled by none other than ourselves and our ignorance. The differences in views, beliefs and stances of our own immediate families are often more different and at conflict than those between other schools of thought. So let's revive Unity week and come together under the banner of our great and supreme Holy Prophet Muhammad and raise high the flag of "La illaaha ilAllah, Muhammadan Rasoolallah!"

"While the Sunnis and Shias are bickering over whether the Prophet prayed with his arms folded or open, the enemies are busy plotting how to cut these arms off." -Imam Khomeini

And here, enjoy a nasheed I have made dedicated to our Holy Prophet..

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah, all together, and do not become divided. And remember the favour of Allah upon you -when you were enemies and He brought you together and you became, by His favour, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the fire, and He saved you from it. Thus, does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.

    [Qur'an 3:103]

  3. Salaam Alaykum.

Here is a recent track of mine called "Once More".

It was inspired to me soon after a dear friend of mine passed away last year at the young age of 24.

..a great reciter for Ahlulbayt who had a most beautiful voice, Sayyed Abdul Majid Mostajab.

Please recite a fatiha and dedicate it to his soul.

    Here's the track..

  4. lol yea, but perhaps not for long.

it seems he has infuriated the wacko muslims and the "Muharrami and the Laylatul Qadri" muslims more than the "more religious" muslims and so i doubt they will leave him alone for too much longer lol. unless of course he is protected in some way.

i reckon they wanna hang him by the moustache and beat him then burn him lol.

but i personally think he should just sincerely ask for forgiveness and may Allah guide the bloke for his stupidity, and guide the ones who are really behind this. and if they are not guided, then may Allah give them a good punishment.

  5. InshaAllah we should all strive to make this blessed day an even more blessed and happy one..

    1. Eid-ul-Fitr Mubarak to all y'all!!

    2. I don't know where you guys are but here in Oztralia, Eid has fallen on Friday, which is a day of Eid for Muslims anyway

    3. InshaAllah we can all make it a triple Eid by incorporating Imam Ali's hadith in our lives.. "Every day in which you do not sin is a day of Eid"

Also, please accept my gift ..a new English Eid nasheed titled "Eid Mubarak"

You can listen/download it for free from www.hameedattai.com

ooh, and it's even an Eid day (day of happiness) for Terry Jones coz he "might" not get killed anymore lol.

    Yallah, salaamz!!

  6. Good evening all.

Soon I will be leaving Southern NSW to begin working in Sydney (most probably). My company has given the option of declaring several areas where I'd like to work at so I was wondering, what areas feature Shia Muslims more heavily? I am aware the St George area has a lot of Muslims but any where else? Also, keep in mind that I'd love an area to begin a family so even though there may be Muslims in the area, if there is a high crime rate/low education level, please let me know.

Also, a 'Shia Mosque' would be lovley :)

    I trust your advice.

Brother, perhaps you should be asking, where is there no shia muslims in sydney hehe.

Alhamdulillah Sydney has a huge Muslim population.

Areas with a lot of Muslims are mainly St. George area & Parramatta/Auburn area.

To be honest, they are both generally very safe areas. Of course, that is not to say there is no crime there. But even a 10 year can feel safe walking to and from school and the shops.

Choosing where to live actually really depends on other factors as opposed to crime. For example, price/rent of house, proximity to Islamic centres/Mosques, proximity to a good academic school (there is no such thing as a school where moral upbringing of the child is guaranteed as it depends on parents upbringing and parental intervention on peer selection, unless of course it's a Muslim school then moral upbringing can be better expected), proximity to transportation and shops, proximity to family members or the community, a more affluent neighbourhood, etcetera.

Or it could be that you want to live far away from certain people :] (as was the case with us hehe).

ps if you have facebook, join the "Shias in Australia" group and you can get a lot of info on the whereabouts of the mosques.

    ooh, and welcome to Sydney!!

    ..my passion, my love.

Alternatively, feel free to message me and I will be more than glad to help. I have lived in Sydney for 17 years and can give you all the details you want.

..mainly the clean nice areas are in the north shore of sydney, places liek st.ives, hornsby, etc. But they literally have like NO Muslim population unfortunately.

    hey come on!!

i'm from hornsby and i could swear i know a muslim family there hehe
